Winter: June – August
The best seasons to travel to Australia (nicest weather) are in either Spring or Autumn.
Driving in Australia
The most important thing to remember in Australia when driving is that Australian people drive on the left - hand side of the road . For people coming from the USA and Europe this is going to be a big change , so if planning on driving using either a local or international licence, it may help to practise a little before venturing out onto main roads and highways.
Another important point is that while in most countries the majority of vehicles are manually geared with only a small percentage of cars being automatic , in Australia this is not the case . Here , fifty percent of vehicles on the road are automatic and fifty percent are manual . This is important to remember, particularly when borrowing or hiring a vehicle .
Furthermore, each state in Australia has its own rules and regulations for driving, which involve not only speed limits , but also factors such as seat belt use and child restraints in vehicles.

Wildlife
Australia is very famous for being the shelter of some of the most dangerous but also some of the cutest and uncommon creatures on Earth.
Unique wildlife - Australia has a unique collection of fauna which is definately worth seeking out. Most are marsupials, such as the emblematic kangaroo and koala . The platypus and echidna are among the few living representatives in the world of mammals that both lay eggs and suckle their young. With just a little effort, visitors can also see Australian native animals in the wild . Beyond the cities, in rural and outback Australia, it's not unusual to see mobs of kangaroo grazing in the late afternoon sun and see the flightless emu going about its business.
The dingo, brought to Australia by the Aborigines, is considered the country 's native dog. You can also see fairy penguins at Phillip Island, Victoria

Australia
Australia is known for it's fine beaches and a really hot summer days wherein almost a thousands of tourists have been attracted to. People tend to spend their vacation in this country , not only because of the impeccable sceneries but also for the easiness of applying visa's whether you needed a working, tourist or student visa as long as you're qualified in all requirements .
The landscape deviates from dry to tropical rain forest to all the beaches. One of the best thing to do is do a summer camps that really make your time worth spending in the land of Australia.
To all the travelers, anytime they want to visit Australia is a good time, whether it is Summer (December to February) which can turn out to be a wee bit hot, but do not fret as the sandy white beaches are available for you to cool off, with perhaps a cocktail or two. Or if you're into cold weather you can go in winter ( June to August) in which they offers skiing in NSW, Victoria and sometimes in Tasmania. However in time of spring and autumn the weather is perfectly gentle. Ancient Aboriginal culture - Australia is the world's oldest continent , inhabited for more than 40,000 years by Aborigines. It was settled by the British just over 200 years ago, in 1788, and since then has transformed from a colonial outpost into a nation with a population of more than 20 million. For visitors, its ancient, worn landscape contrasts with the vitality and youthful energy of its inhabitants. It is an ancient culture that is deeply connected to the land. At the heart of the continent is Uluru ( named Ayers Rock by the colonial settlers ), a monolith of great spiritual significance. This great rock reaches 348 metres tall and measures nine kilometres at its base . Take a guided walk around Uluru or visit the Aboriginal Cultural Centre to find out more about the history of the area.

Sydney
Sydney is well known for its seafood including Balmain Bugs (a small local freshwater lobster creature), Crayfish from Tasmania, Barramundi (large white meaty fish ) and John Dory (smaller white fish). There are also specialties from other areas such as Queensland Mud Crab , and Coral Trout from the Great Barrier Reef, and Ocean Salmon and Trout.
Known for its famed opera house and harbor , Sydney also boasts an incredible bridge , great parks, delicious food, lots of free stuff to do, and amazing surfing. Whether you go to Manly Beach or hang out with everyone else in Bondi, Sydney is a place to relax in the sun and enjoy the water. Darling Harbor has a number of good restaurants, great entrainment venues, and the Chinese Garden is quite relaxing. For a night out on the town with colorful locals, there’s nothing like King’s Cross too.
Sydney [1] is known as the Harbour City. It is the largest, oldest and most cosmopolitan city in Australia with an enviable reputation as one of the world's most beautiful and liveable cities. Brimming with history, nature, culture, art, fashion , cuisine, design, it is set next to miles of ocean coastline and sandy surf beaches. Recent immigration trends have led to the cities reputation as one of the most culturally and ethnically diverse cities in Australia and the world. The city is also home to the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge, two of the most iconic structures on the planet .

Best Sydney attractions

Austraalia loodus on väga mitmekesine: kuivad kõrbed, troopilised vihmametsad , lõputuna näivad viinamarjaistandused. Puutumatus looduses turnivad ringi koaalad ja kuuma päikese all uimerdavad laiskloomad.
Samas on Austraalia ka kaasaegsete linnade ja arenenud infrastruktuuriga riik. Austraalia suurim linn Sydney lummab oma veteavaruste, roheluse ja madala hoonestusega. Sydney visiitkaardiks on hästituntud ooperimaja.
Canberra tähendab pärismaalaste keeles kohtumispaika. Linna suurimaks vaatamisväärsuseks on maa all asuv ülimoodne parlamendihoone , botaanikaaed, sõjamemoriaal, kunstigaleriid ja satelliitide jälgimisjaam.
Melbourne on suuruselt teine linn Austraalias, mida kutsutakse ka kultuuripealinnaks. Siinsed muuseumid , galeriid , teatrid, suured pargid ja ajad ning Viktooria aegne arhitektuur meelitavad linna palju turiste.

Austraalia kliima

November-detsember on Austraalias tüüpiline suveaeg. Temperatuur on umbes 25-30 C. Suurem osa Austraaliast asub troopilises kliimavöötmes, ent meie põhiline piirkond osa meie reisisihist, st Lõuna-Austraalia lõunaosa jääb siiski vahemerelisse kliimavöötmesse. Sisemaal ning lääne- ja lõunaosas on äärmiselt kuiv ning suvel väga palav . Soovitame kindlasti kaasa võtta tugeva päikesekreemi (SPF 20-30) ja päikeseprillid. Samuti soovitame katta kuumema päikese eest pea.
Soovitame igaks juhuks kaasa võtta ka putukatõrjevahendi, sisemaa piirkonnas võib esineda mozzies ehk sääski.
Austraalia vetes esineb erinevates piirkondades haisid, meduuse, sisemaal mürkmadusid, mürgiseid ämblikke jne – nendega kohtumise võimalused küll puht teoreetilised , sest nad väldivad inimesi ja ise ei tasu nendega samuti kontakti otsida.

Australia's name means "southland."It is south of the equator. Sometimes it is also called the island continent because it is an island. There are about twenty million people in Australia. It is 1,800 miles from the mainland of Asia and almost half way round the world from Europe. More than 600 miles of ocean separate it from Americas. Since Australia is south of the equator, its seasons are just the opposite of ours. It has summer while we have winter, and the other way round. States and Territories.
