Sildumine

Manöövrid sildumisel. Laeva sildumine vasaku pardaga. Kaile tuleb läheneda umbes 30º-40º nurga all. Laeva masin tuleb peatada õigeaegselt ja liikuda edasi inerts mõjul, säilitades laeva juhitavuse. Olles ohutus kauguses kaist, tuleb anda tagasikäik, laeva vöör keerab paremale ja inerts väheneb. Laev peab jääma seisma terava nurga all kai suhtes ja temast mitte kaugel. Kaile tuleb läheneda peaaegu täisnurga all äraantud merepoolse ankruga. Ankrut lohistatakse mööda põhja

My favourite part of town

My favorite part of town Toila Oru Park My Favorite part of town is called Toila Oru park, which is located 20 km outside the city. The park includes castle complex, luxurious gardens with more than 800 sorts of plants, large beach, amazing terraces, cafés, mysterious spring cave, singing stage and much more. One of the main reason I like it is that there you can always find place for yourself. You can walk in the park, relax on the beach, read on a park bench or just enjoy incredibly beautiful views. There are a lot of interesting places to see. One of the most visited places are the area near terrace, where you can find wonderful rose garden, which is very colorful and aromatic. At the beginning this land was owned by Grigori Jelissejev in 1897

Estonia summer and winter essee

Estonians have two personalities-a summer one and a winter one Estonia is a country in Eastern Europe. It's a small country beside the Baltic Sea. Our neighbours are Finland, Russia, Latvia and Sweden. Estonia's surface area is 45,227 square kilometres. The population of Estonia is around 1,3 million. We have four seasons in Estonia. The air is very humid and it rains quite often, especially in spring and autumn. We usually have long winters and plenty of snow, but sometimes we haven't even had snow. Summers are mostly warm and beautiful in Estonia. In winter our nation is mostly very passive, becouse it is quite cold in outside, we are like bears who sleep in winter, but we still go to school and work even if we are like so tired and don't wanna go out. Our winter is like too long and people are starting to miss summer, sun, beach and ice cream what you will eat in a hot summerday

Easter traditions in Estonia

So for us, their grandchildren, painting eggs has no connection with religion traditions. It is more like a way of expressing one's creativity. We use different colors and techniques: painting with herbs, watercolors, markers, special colors etc. There aren't any certain patterns to use, everyone can do it any way they like. We also give colored eggs as presents to friends and children are cracking the eggs. More than Easter Estonians have traditionally celebrated a spring. There is a day near Easter called Paastumaarjapäev (the Day of Virgin Mary and Fast) which is a women's day. Women and girls go together to swim in a spring in the sunrise it will make them fresh and goodlooking for rest of the year. After they dance and sing and dance traditional round dances. It used to be the only day when men stayed at home and took care of the house and children. Women colored their cheeks with a herb "naistepuna" ("women's red") and went to

Estonian Public holidays

St John's Eve (Jaaniõhtu, also Jaanilaupäev) and St John's Day (Jaanipäev) are the most important days in the Estonian calendar, apart from Christmas. The short summer seasons with long days and brief nights hold special significance for the people of Estonia. Jaanipäev is celebrated in the night between June 23 and 24, a few days after the summer solstice, when night seems to be non-existent. Spring Day (May Day) May 1 Spring Day is a holiday marking the coming of the spring season, which takes place in different countries, on varying dates. Estonia Estonia celebrates Spring Day on May 1.

Setsubun

Setsubun Setsubun ("seasonal division") Is a fesitival in Japan celebrating the beginning of spring. It's held on 3 or 4 of February which isone day before the beginning of spring according to Japanese lunar calendar. This day was to chase away the evil spirits from the winter. This holiday is not very popular anymore although some people still decorate their houses with holy tree leaves and fish heads. In the 13th century it was a popular custom, people belived that the smell of burning trees and the sound of drums would scare the spirits away. Nowadays it's more common to throw rosted beans into houses, temples an shrines. Ou are supposed to shout ,,Oni wa soto

Temperate deciduous forests, woodlands and shrub

There are often some evergreens, such as hemlock, spruce, and fir growing amongst them. Decidous forests have usually 3-5 layers of plants; Top layer, or canopy: tall deciduous trees. Although the canopy is quite thick, it does allow sunlight to reach the forest floor, which encourages the other layers to grow. The 2nd layer: saplings and shorter kinds of trees The 3rd layer, or understorey: shrubs. The 4th layer: forest herbs, such as wildflowers and berries. In spring, before the leaves develop on the deciduous trees, these herbs bloom and grow quickly while they are getting a lot of sunlight. The 5th layer: mosses and lichens that grow on tree trunks. Lianas such as wild grape, poison ivy, and Virginia creeper climb the trees to flower and fruit high in the forest canopy. Plant adaptations: The plants have adapted so that they can survive in this biome. The leaves of deciduous trees are broad and quite light

A group of Danish scientists wondered whether global warming would make the hairy, meat-eating wolf spiders of northeastern Greenland bigger, since longer summers mean more hunting time. The spiders can live for at least two years, and the researchers found that, in years when spring came early, the animals grew larger, on average. For example, when spring came 30 days earlier than usual, some spiders grew exoskeletons that were 10 percent thicker than average, resulting in bigger bodies overall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mA0u2J1bKAc Snakes There are around 3000 snake species in the world, and about 375 of these are venomous. Recreational use of Pärnu river (essee)

Recreational use of Pärnu river The catchment area of Pärnu river is 6920 km2 (For example Emajõe river drainage area is 9740 km2). The output is 70m3/s, mean altitude above the sea level - 50 m, maximum altitude - 78 m, mean flow 64,4 m3/s and precipitation 700 mm. Main problems are floods, agricultural pollution, pollution from the local communities, drainage system and flood plain grasslands. There is an excessive flooding in spring. The most known is the Soomaa swamplands flooding in april. It is called to be the fifth season. A lot of rich soil are situated near the pärnu river, for example some of the biggest farmlands are situated in the Järva county. 83% of phosphorus and 79% of nitrogen originates from human activities of the total discharge of biogenes from Pärnu River basin. The soil does not bind a huge amount of the nutrients.

Rainforest: VÄGA PALJU VIHMA, temp 4-12 °C. ; Temperate deciduous forest: temp 20, kesk. vihm 5. Describe the soils of the. Temperate deciduous forest: Brown forest soils develop under the trees. Broadleaf trees tend to be nutrient-demanding and their leaves bind the major nutrient bases. The autumn leaf fall provides for an abundant and rich humus which begins to decay rapidly in spring just as the growing season begins. The humus content gives soil horizons a brown colour. Temperate rainforest: This forest has nutrient-rich soil because there is a lot of dead organic matter on the ground. This dead material is being slowly digested by the fungi, insects, and bacteria that live here. Temperate Grasslands: Calcification is the dominant soil-forming process in semiarid regions. The Selfish Giant Oscar Wilde The children used to play in the Giant's garden every day. When Giant came back home after seven years he was very sad and cried in a very grunft voice. He will not allow nobody to play in it but hisself and h built a high wall all round it and put up notice-board. The poor had now nowhere to play. The spring came and all over the country there were little blossoms and little birds. Only in the garden of the selfish Giant it was still winter . One morning he heard solme lovely music the King's musicians were passing by. It was a sight for him that spring came at last. Through a little hole in the wall the chldren had crept in and they were sitting in the brances of the trees. Maximal voltage voltage is determined by the drive manufacturer and is usually dictated by the motors ability to dissipate excess thermal energy that comes from the internal resistance of windings.

Hemingway A Farewell to Arms (overview)

Plot Overview Lieutenant Frederic Henry is a young American ambulance driver serving in the Italian army during World War I. At the beginning of the novel, the war is winding down with the onset of winter, and Henry arranges to tour Italy. The following spring, upon his return to the front, Henry meets Catherine Barkley, an English nurse's aide at the nearby British hospital and the love interest of his friend Rinaldi. Rinaldi, however, quickly fades from the picture as Catherine and Henry become involved in an elaborate game of seduction. Grieving the recent death of her fiancé, Catherine longs for love so deeply that she will settle for the illusion of it. Her passion, even though pretended, wakens a desire for emotional interaction in Henry,

What might attract foreigners to Estonia?

What might attract foreigners to Estonia? Estonia is a small country in Nothern Europe, but it is visited by people all over the world. One of the things that definitely attracts people is the seasons. There are four seasons in Estonia- spring, summer, autumn, winter. I think they make Estonia very special. Another thing is the climate. It is not too cold in winter or too warm in summer. Winters are usually snowy and you can go skiing and ice skating. In the summer you can enjoy days at the beach. The capital city of Estonia is Tallinn, which has a very beautiful Old Town. Pärnu is the summer capital, which attracts people with its beautiful beach. There are a lot of isalands, lakes and rivers in Estonia

Two holidays in the UK

music and other entertainment. There are side-shows, fairground rides, stalls, food and drink, and a concert in the evening. The Floral Dance always takes place on the 8th of May, except when that falls on a Sunday or Monday, when the Dance is held on the previous Saturday. The Helston Floral Dance is one of the oldest surviving customs in the Country, and is a festival to celebrate the coming of spring. In the UK are many interesting and different holidays and I think that to attend in these holidays may be very interesting and entertaining.

Artikkel koolist

students in 37 classes. We have 4 terms September 1. until October 24., November 2. until December 24., January 11. until March 20. and March 29. until June 5. We get reports every end of the terms. We don't have school uniform, we're allowed to wear, what we want. School lunches are 20 minutes long. Food isn't and don't taste very well. That, when you can go to eat, depends on which number of class you are. In our school are sport days about three times per year Autumn, Winter and Spring. We have competitions between different classes and we have special team with teachers. School parties are about twice a month, but they aren't very cool. It happens very rarely, when the party turns out good, but this is my opinion. We have only one leisure activity that is playing with coffee machine. Irrespective of all the negative sides, is our school very normal.

My favourite outfit

My favourite outfit My name is Kerli. I am a 16-year-old schoolgirl. I am from Estonia. I would say I am usually helpful and kind. If anyone needs my help in anything, then I will always lend a hand. I like doing sports and I like to wear sporty clothes, because they are very comfortable. Also, like to wear feminine clothes. My favourite outfit is a leather jacket with blue jeans, a white blouse and black platforms. The leather jacket has white stripes down the sleeves. It is also quite worn-out by now because I have had it for some time now and I tend to wear it throughout the spring and autumn months. In fact it has gotten quite a few little tears where it has got caught on sharp objects. These clothes came from one of those big department stores and not a specialist leather shop. I am a big believer in wearing clothing that makes you feel great. The ideal item of clothing is the one that makes you both look an...

What are the Estonians like?

our acts aren't so bad. There are also many gentlemen in Estonia, who open doors for women and make a lot of compliments. I really like that, because one opened door or one little compliment can make your mood for the entire day. Our country has four seasons and every season changes our mood. In summer and winter Estonians are very happy, but in autumn, when the weather is rainy, foggy and afternoons are very dark, Estonians are quite depressed and very tired for the entire season . In the spring Estonians are full of energy and joy. Estonians keep their respect for one another and love their country , because of that, i am very proud to be an Estonian. Jessica Lauring 9b

Meedialabor: Elastsus

Töö eesmärk: ● Õpilane teab, mis on elastsusjõud. ● Õpilane teab, mis on deformatsioon. ● Õpilane teab kuidas jaguneb deformatsioon. ● Õpilane oskab kasutada Hooke’i seadust eksperimentaalselt tundmatud suuruste määramisel. Näiteks kokku kortsutatud paber on plastne keha. Kuid ku...
