15,000 km) which makes it almost the same size as the mainland USA's coastline. Even though New Zealand is only about the same size as Colorado, the large coastline is possible because it is extremely iregular and indented. New Zealand's coastline is packed with deep coves, bays, intricate harbours, long sounds, and steep fiords. Its territorial waters stretch from the sub-tropical through to the sub-antarctic. Both islands tend to have better swimming beaches on their eastern coasts and the further north you go. The west coasts of both islands are quite rugged with cliffs and more unsettled weather. There are however some suitable swimming and bathing beaches here, with iron (volcanic) sand beaches (black sand) being common on the North Island. The longest beach in New Zealand is the 90 mile beach, which is actually about 60 miles long. This beach is famous for its huge sand dunes and resembles the Sahara Desert in places.

My ideal house

My ideal house I would like to live in a place where there are some mountains with snow on top of them and a sea nearby because i like beaches and mountains. My house would be in the middle of them, so i could see the sea from one side and the mountains from the other side of the house. The house would have two floors and a basement because that's all i need. On the first floor, there would be the living room with a big tv and some antique furniture, the kitchen, also with antique style oven and etc. A bathroom with a large bathtub and sauna, plus there would be a porch looking towards the sea. It is recognized as a megadiverse counrty. Its isolation from other continets explains much of the strangeness of its animal and plant life. There are a lot of interesting animals like kangaroos, koalas and wombats and birds like emus and kookaburras. Australia is a highly developed country. It has the sixth largest per capita income in the world. It is said that Melbourne is the world's most liveable cities. Another reason why Australia appeals fo me, is its beautiful beaches and climate. Winters are mils and summers are hot and sunny. Australia's beaches are always full of surfers, and one day i hope i will be one of them . Australians have a very good quality of life. There are a lot of universities, where to study. Australians concentrate on their health. I have beed dreaming about living in Australia since i first saw the TV serial ,,Home and away", which is shot in Australia. And i really hope, that in the future i have enough money to go there

How to Stop Water Pollution

How to Stop Water Pollution

When a leaky engine releases this oil into the street, it runs to the sewer and from there it becomes part of a laundry-list of contaminants that makes its way into waterways. Even a small drip of oil can turn into a disaster when you consider the fact that there are more than 250 million cars on the road in the United States alone. Even if all of these vehicles were in perfect working order, the disposal of the used oil would still be a huge issue. Clean Up Beaches and Waterways Wherever you have waterways that see a lot of human recreation, you will almost always see lots of evidence of human use. Wrappers, bottles and other trash are unfortunately a common site at many well-used beaches and rivers around the world. It should be fairly obvious that the trash from these places often ends up in waterways and can cause pollution. Plastics are an especially big issue when it comes to water contamination at beaches and waterways. Pick Up Litter

This cycle continued with the emission oftrachytes, phonolites and peralkaline rocks. This period was followed by one of erosion, which lasted some 4 million years. This island is called a "Miniature Continent" due to the different climates and variety of landscapes found, with its long golden beaches and endless dunes of white sand, its green ravines and picturesque villages. A third of the island is under protection as a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. The number of annual visitors is 2.2 million (2,200,000). Most of the tourists visit the southern part of the island. The north tends to be cooler while the south is warmer and sunny. The east coast of the island is flat dotted with beaches while the western coast is rockier and mountainous.

THAILAND GETAWAY 12/01/2008 Dear Sirs I have just returned from a holiday in Thailand Getaway. I am writing to express my annoyance about a number of points. First of all, the beaches were dirty and crowded. As a result, I didn't see any clean and free places where for suntanning. I like snorkelling, but you have not snorkelling equipment for all the family. Take a tour by elephant was impossible because queue was too long. Even bikes were out of order. All these points made me very annoyed. I insist on paying back a half of the sum I paid for the holiday. Yours faithfully M. Mets (Mr) words (109)

Global warming can affect sea levels, coastlines, ocean acidification, ocean currents, seawater, sea surface temperatures, tides, the sea floor, weather, and trigger several changes in ocean bio-geochemistry; all of these affect the functioning of a society. Impacts on society The rise in sea level along coastal regions carries implications for a wide range of habitats and inhabitants. Firstly, rising sea levels will have a serious impact on beaches— a place which humans love to visit recreationally and a prime location for real estate. It is ideal to live on the coast, due to a more moderate climate and pleasant scenery, but beachfront property is at risk from eroding land and rising sea levels. Since the threat posed by rising sea levels has become more prominent, property owners and local government have taken measures to prepare for the worst. Additionally, many coastal states add sand to their beaches to offset shore erosion,

Water pollution

There are many things we can do to help. We have to be careful about what we throw down our sink or toilet. We can't throw paints, oils or other forms of litter down the drain. By having more plants in our garden we are preventing fertiliser, pesticides and contaminated water from running off into nearby water sources. We must not throw litter into rivers, lakes or oceans. We should clean up any litter we see on beaches or in rivers and lakes, make sure it is safe to collect the litter and put it in a nearest bin. Water is a very important resource for people and the environment. We have to start saving the clean water for next generations and stop thinking only about ourselves.

Ghana

Ghana Ghana, country of western Africa, situated on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea. Although relatively small in area and population, Ghana is one of the leading countries of Africa, partly because of its considerable natural wealth and partly because it was the first black African country south of the Sahara to achieve independence from colonial rule. In addition to being known for its lush forests, diverse animal life, and miles of sandy beaches along a picturesque coast, Ghana is also celebrated for its rich history--its habitation possibly dating from 10,000 BC--and as a fascinating repository of cultural heritage. The country takes it name from the great medieval trading empire that was located northwest of the modern-day state until its demise in the 13th century. Direct sea trade with Europe, established in the 15th century, had much impact on the area's inhabitants, many of whom actively traded with the

Esimene esineja oli leedulanna, kes esitas laulu ,,I like music". Teine esineja oli sakslanna, esitades laulu ,,Hallelujah". Kolmandana esines eestlanna, kes esitas ballaadi ,,Black beaches". Järgmisena esines jällegi üks leedulanna, esitades juba kaks laulu ,,The wings" ja ,,Everything". Eelviimane esineja oli eestlanna esitades laulud ,,Liivakell" ja ,,Ma tulen ja lähen". Viimaseks esinejaks oli leedukas, kes esitas samuti kaks laulu, millest üks oli Bruno Mars-i ,,just the way you are". Lauludele oli enamasti saateks arvutist lastud muusika, aga oli ka klaverisaadet. Kontsert oli ilusasti läbimõeldud ja oli isegi olemas ka niinimetatud päevajuht.

Maybe it's all the sunshine, the miles of beaches, or the pristine nature, or the excellent quality of life but nothing seems to worry them. Australians always greet people with the proverbial "how are you?" and expect a response similar to "good, thank you" which is the way of saying hello. In Estonia it's just a simple and sincere "hello". If you ask that people are assuming the question was about how they feel or how their life is.
