Celtic Mythology Celtic mythology is the mythology of Celtic polytheism, apparently the religion of the Iron Age Celts. Like other Iron Age Europeans, the early Celts maintained a polytheistic mythology and religious structure. Among Celts in close contact with Ancient Rome, such as the Gauls and Celtiberians, their mythology did not survive the Roman empire, their subsequent conversion to Christianity, and the loss of their Celtic languages. It is mostly through contemporary Roman and Christian sources that their mythology has been preserved. The Celts peoples who maintained either their political or linguistic identities (such as the Gaels and Brythonic tribes of Great Britain and Ireland) left vestigial remnants of their

How much do you know about biology?

How much do you know about biology? What is biology? Biology is a natural science concerned with the study of life and living organisms, including their structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, distribution, and taxonomy.[1] Biology is a vast subject containing many subdivisions, topics, and disciplines. Although biology in its modern form is a relatively recent development, sciences related to and included within it have been studied since ancient times. Natural philosophy was studied as early as the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, the Indian subcontinent, and China. Much of modern biology can be encompassed within five unifying principles: cell theory, evolution, genetics, homeostasis, and energy. Cell theory states that the cell is the fundamental unit of life, and that all living things are composed of one or more cells or the secreted products of those cells

The earliest buildings confirmed by historical data originate from the 9th century when ancient Estonians took advantage of the steep escarpment of Toompea and erected here their ancient stronghold of Lindanisa, one of the best-protected strongholds in Estonia. For some people sport plays a very important part in their lives. And to some, it is even a way of life. There are different kinds of sports. For instance, there are sports meant for playing indoors, some can be practised only at a certain time of year. There are winter and summer sports also. Skiing, figure-skating, sledding and snowboarding these four most popular are practised during winter. Good examples of summer sports are: swimming, badminton, roller skating and golf. 2. The ancient Olympic Games The first recorded Olympic Games took place in 776. Pula, traveling

Pula Pula is the largest city in Istria Country, Croatia. I've been there three times. I went there for the first time three years ago. We went there with my mother, father and little sister. It was in July 2011. The weather was beautiful, so we went to swimming and sunbathing. There is an arena called The Pula Arena. It is an ancient Roman-style very large. This is the most beautiful building in this city. My mom wanted to go there, so we bought the tickets and went to this wonderful place. We were amazed. It was so large and beautiful. I have never seen such a fantastic thing before. I love this city, because I feel so free and comfortable there. I can swim, sunbathe, walk throgh the city and enjoy life. I can do almost all of these things there, that I can't do in Estonia.

Kofuni perioodil tekkis Yamato riik 11 , mis oli jaapani riikluse alguseks12. Kofuni perioodi jagatakse kolmeks- varajane, keskmine ja hiline kofun13.
