Saint John church Jaani Kirik

Residents of the Saint John´s church moved into the church of Niguliste. When the church was handed over, the people had a very grand goodbye(farewell) to the church even though it was only left temporarily. The first organ was built in 1869 by Gustav Normann. 1905 church started collecting money to get a better organ. In 1913 a real masterpiece of modern organ making was made. On the 16th April Saint John´s church got a new organ that was shipped from Germany. It was 6 metres high and 3 metres wide. Right now there should be approximately 4 organs in the church. People are worrying right now about the cracks in the floor of the just renovated church. The cracks were made from the constructions on the freedom square. If the cracks turn any bigger, then the tower of the church may fall bringing at least half of the church down with it. As you all know the churches are poor so feel free to donate to the church. That way you will go to heaven for a good deed

Eucalyptus trees are found everywhere in Australia. There are many kinds of them and they greatly differ in size. One kind, the great mountain ash, can grow to 120 metres and it grows in the wet forests in the eastern part of the continent. These strong trees do not die when there are forest fires. Some other kinds are small bushes in the semi-deserts.Eucalyptuses give the local people timber and eucalyptus oil. Of 600 kinds of acacias the golden wattle, the national flower of Australia, is the best known. Australia has many other kinds of tree, and thousands of kinds of wild flowers too. Of

Although Titanic is best known for carrying the rich and famous between Europe and the United States, the Ship actually had several purposes: 1. To carry British and US mail--hence the full name of the ship is Royal Mail Ship (RMS) Titanic. 2. To carry general cargo and frozen meat since at that time Europe could not produce enough livestock to meet its own needs. 3. To carry first-class passengers in great luxury, second-class passengers in great comfort and third-class passengers with great economy. 4. To fly the flag of Great Britain and uphold national honor. Make sure to pay a visit to the top floor café for beautiful Old Town views. Kiek in de Kök was originally built in the 1470s, but quickly expanded and strengthened, now the walls are four metres thick. The investment paid off: During the Livonian war in the late 1500s, Ivan the Terrible's forces managed to blow a huge hole through the top storey, but the tower held. During post-war repairs, a row of four cannon balls was placed in the newly patched stone wall as a memorial. Estonia's nature

The country's climate is determined by the proximity of the Atlantic Ocean. The summer temperatures are a little lower than the average of that latitude, but the winters are considerably warmer. As a part of the East-European Plain, the country has a rather flat surface. The highest and most topographically variagated region in Estonia is in the south-eastern part of the country. The Sakala Upland plains offer contrast to the hills of Ottepää, Karula and Haanja. At 318 metres, Suur Munamägi ('Great Egg Hill') is not only the highest point in Estonia, but of all the Baltic countries. The country has 3974 km of coastline, while the land border, in comparison, is only a mere 633 km. The coast varies from limestone cliff in the north to sandy beaches in the west. Most of Estonia's many islands belong to the West Estonian archipelago. The largest islands are Saaremaa with 2671 sq km, Hiiumaa with 989 sq km and Muhu with 200 sq km. The sea
