How to live healthy

Water is needed to carry out our body functions, remove waste and carry nutrients and oxygen around our body. Men should drink about 3 liters water a day, for women it's about 2 liters. Also, you should have enough sleep. If you are tired you eat more. Sleep is a key to a healthy lifestyle, and can benefit your heart, weight and mind. People who do regular activity have a lower risk of heart disease, stroke, and cancer. Choose walking over transport for close distances and climb the stairs instead of taking the lift. When you enjoy the sports, you'll naturally want to do them. If you want to stay fit eat fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables contain many vitamins and minerals that are good for your health. Also you should stop eating fast food because many processed food contain a high amount of salt which leads to high blood pressure. Positive mental healthy is an important part of a healthy life. London Eye Power Point esitlus

December 1999. It was opend to the public on 9. March 2000 after it's formal opening because of technical problems. On 5 June 2008 it was announced that 30 million people had ridden the London Eye since its opening. Critical reception Sir Richard Rogers, winner of the 2007 Pritzker Architecture Prize, wrote of the London Eye in a book about the project: "The Eye has done for London what the Eiffel Tower did for Paris, which is to give it a symbol and to let people climb above the city and look back down on it." "The Eye... exists in a category of its own. It's function is to lift people up from the ground, take them round a giant loop in the sky, then put them back down where they started." Public transport access The nearest London Underground station is Waterloo, although Westminster is also within easy walking distance. London River Services operated by Thames Clipper and City Cruises stop at the nearby Waterloo Millennium Pier.

The Eiffel Tower (esitlus Eiffeli tornist inglise keeles)

· When it was built, many were shocked by the tower's form. Eiffel was accused of trying to create something artistic with no regard to engineering. However, Eiffel and his team understood the importance of wind forces, and knew that if they were going to build the tallest structure in the world. · Equipping the tower with adequate and safe passenger lifts was a major concern of the government overseeing the Exposition. Although some visitors could be expected to climb to the first level, or even the second, there clearly had to be lifts. · Constructing lifts to reach the first level was relatively straightforward, but constructing lifts to the second floor was more difficult. London - The City and Beyond

Fleet Street once was a road between the City and Westminster. Then it became the centre of publishing and newspaper business for centuries. The Daily Courant was the first newspaper published there. The terrible World War II destroyed many of the beautiful buildings in the City. Luckily, some important old churces like Temple Church are still standing. One of the most interesting things to see there is St Paul's Cathedral. It is 110 metres high. If you climb to the top of it, you'll see a wonderful view of London. The oldest building in the City is the historic White Tower, which was built by William the Conqueror in 1078. The whole group of buildings and towers is called the Tower of London. The Tower has a long, interesting history. It was a fortress, a royal palace and a prison. Many important prisoners have been executed there. Some say, that the ghosts of Anne Boleyn, Lady Jane Gray and others now live there.

Northern War and became part of Russia in 1710. In 1918, Estonia declared independence from Russia and fought a bitter war against Bolshevik Russia. Independence didn’t last long, however, and the fledgling nation fell first to the Nazis and then the Soviets during World War II. Despite all this conquering, Tallinn’s historic core has survived remarkably intact. Much of the 14th century city wall still stands, including a couple of stretches where you can climb the narrow spiral staircases of the towers and end up on the medieval catwalk. The Viru Gates, flanked by thin pointed towers from the 14th century, makes a nice entrance into Old Town. Dominating the town atop Toompea Hill is Toompea Castle and Pikk Hermann Tower. It was used as the center of government since 1229 and is now the site of Estonia’s parliament. Nearby stands the inappropriately named Maiden’s Tower that used to house a prison for prostitutes.

The Broken Rainbow, inglise keele omalooming, vigade parandus

The Broken Rainbow vigade parandus It rained so hard that I couldn’t see anything. Then suddenly, when the rain stopped, I looked out the window. I saw a rainbow, but this rainbow was different – the colours were all wrong! Then I looked around and noticed that all of the colors were different! The colors were like black, grey and white. I wasn’t able to understand what was going on. Then I saw a big wave coming. I thought that I was going to die. I started to run. I ran to the forest. There were also everything wrong. The trees were black and their leaves were brown and white, instead of green. I wasn’t able to understand anything. I saw things that could not be possible and thing that I had never seen before. I got out of the woods. I reached the town gates. They were locked. I was very confused and the best idea that came to my head was to climb over the gate. And so I did. Extreme Sports.

The first known ice climbing competition was organized in Courmayeur on the Brenva glacier in 1912. Ice climbing competitions started in Russia (at that time the Soviet Union) and have been held each winter since 1970. There were three disciplines: difficulty, speed and speed climbing of a longer route (100+m) by roped groups where the lead climber changed every 40m. The competitions at Courchevel in France were also famous. The main rule was to climb as high as possible using as few hits as possible, with the time limited between 8 and 14 minutes. The magnificent 40m high tower in Courchevel was synonymous for difficulty ice climbing events in Europe from 1995 until 2000 when a huge piece of ice fell down just a few hours before the event started. Nowadays International Commission for Ice Climbing Competitions is responsible for the administration and development aspects of ice climbing sport

Plant adaptations: The plants have adapted so that they can survive in this biome. The leaves of deciduous trees are broad and quite light. This gives the leaves a bigger surface to capture sunlight to help produce food for the plant. This is called photosynthesis. When the weather gets cold, broad leaves are not good for the plant, as they lose too much moisture and get damaged. So the trees cut off the water supply

The Little Prince

rose he has left behind. At the geographer's suggestion, the little prince visits Earth, but he lands in the middle of the desert and cannot find any humans. Instead, he meets a snake who speaks in riddles and hints darkly that its lethal poison can send the little prince back to the heavens if he so wishes. The little prince ignores the offer and continues his explorations, stopping to talk to a three-petaled flower and to climb the tallest mountain he can find, where he confuses the echo of his voice for conversation. Eventually, the little prince finds a rose garden, which surprises and depresses him--his rose had told him that she was the only one of her kind. The prince befriends a fox, who teaches him that the important things in life are visible only to the heart, that his time away from the rose makes the rose more special to him, and that love makes a person responsible for the beings that one loves

From April to October, visitors can make the vigorous climb to the top of the stone portion of the tower for magnificent and dizzying views of Old Town, Toompea hill and the port. 5.Kumu Art Museum A must-see for culture creatures, Kumu, the main building of Art Museum of Estonia, serves both as Estonia's national gallery and as a centre for contemporary art. Again - follow the map so that you would not get lost and try to get streetwise in London. Take the following questions with you, find answers to them and put them down for yourself in this MSWord document. Don't forget to "take" photos - you are supposed to recognise the landmarks later on! At the end of the tour send the worksheet to yourself so that you could use it again. clock itself first ticking on 31 May 1859),during which celebratory events took place. A clock tower was built at Westminster in 1288, with the fine-money of Ralph Hengham, Chief Justice of the King's Bench.Despite being one of the world's most famous tourist attractions, the interior of the tower is not open to the general public due to security concerns, although from time to time press and other VIPs are granted access. However, the tower has no elevator, so those escorted must climb the 334 limestone stairs to the top.Because of changes in ground conditions since construction (notably tunnelling for the Jubilee Line extension), the tower leans slightly to the north-west, by roughly 220 millimetres (8.66 in) at the clock face, giving an inclination of approximately 1/250. Due to thermal effects it oscillates annually by a few millimetres east and west. 6

The Dog fence

By 1960 three states joined their barriers to form a single dog fence. Queensland has the longest fence with 2500 km long followed by South Australia with 2100 km The New South Wales fence covers 580 km. The Fence goes over sand dunes, past salt lakes, up and down hills, across plains. It stays away from towns. Where it passes near Cooper Pedy in South Australia, it’s actually a tourist attraction, visited on bus tour. People go and touch it. Children like to climb it. The fence marks the dividing line between cattle (outside) and sheep (inside). Inside is where dingoes, legally classified as vermin, are shot, poisoned and trapped. Sheep and dingoes do not mix. Stations that once sheared 100.000 sheep suffered so many kills that their owners switched to cattle. Others fought back with massive poisoning campaigns and shooting drives. Stations reported annual kills of hundreds of dogs.

their execution, degree of difficulty, and overall presentation skills. Former apparatus and events Rope (rhythmic gymnastics) Starting in 2011, the rhythmic apparatus rope will be removed from all FIG events and clubs will be returned to the competition. FIG has a policy of only using four of the five pieces of apparatus and changes them for different Olympic cycles. This will affect World Cups, World Championships, and Olympics. Rope climb Rope climbing Generally, competitors climbed either a 6m (6.1m = 20 ft in USA) or an 8m (7.6m = 25 ft in USA), 38mm (1.5") diameter natural fiber rope for speed, starting from a seated position on the floor and using only the hands and arms. Kicking the legs in a kind of "stride" was normally permitted. Many gymnasts can do this in the straddle or pike position, which eliminates the help generated from the legs.
