A Disaster in Mellowtown Hello! This is Kairi from WLAG radio reporting you about an accident that happened with a truck carrying chickens. The accident took place in Mellowtown, at the intersection of Main Street and Broadway about 12.30. A chicken farmer was driving his chickens to a market, when by unknown reason he made an accident. Tom Phillips, the chicken farmer, said that he was driving slowly and carefully as always, but suddenly the truck started to make strange noise and he could not control it any more. Then he crashed. Speed cameras are not a good way to make our roads safer. Do you agree with this statement? The offical reason for installing cameras that monitor along the roads is that they will bring speed down and due to this many lives can be saved. Speed cameras probably decrease the average speed a bit at the spot where the camera is, but in my opinion they really make driving much more stressful and unsafe. First of all, in our country there are a lot of speed cameras on the roads. Mostly of them are on a straight roads, which even do not need a speed camera.
