How to avoi road accidents

1. Slow down. Obey the speed limit even if every other car is surpassing it. Remember that police officers often stay hidden from view while looking for speeders. If you're caught driving too fast, they won't hesitate to give you a ticket. 2. 2 Let others pass you. Defensive driving means letting others go ahead-not defending your position in traffic. Avoid the urge to be a vigilante ("Oh yeah? Let me show you what it's like to be cut off like that!") Accept the fact that someone is always going to think they're in more of a hurry than you. These are the drivers you want to move far away from, not to 'teach them a lesson.' 3 3 Try to avoid driving in bad weather. Always keep your windshield wipers going in the rain or snow

A Disaster in Mellowtown

A Disaster in Mellowtown Hello! This is Kairi from WLAG radio reporting you about an accident that happened with a truck carrying chickens. The accident took place in Mellowtown, at the intersection of Main Street and Broadway about 12.30. A chicken farmer was driving his chickens to a market, when by unknown reason he made an accident. Tom Phillips, the chicken farmer, said that he was driving slowly and carefully as always, but suddenly the truck started to make strange noise and he could not control it any more. Then he crashed. As a result the crates, where the chickens were held, went to pieces and chickens broke free. At the moment there is a real chaos in the middle on Mellowtown, chickens everywhere and pieces of the crates also. And what's worst, as there is worldwide bird flu epidemic, people are frightened maybe

not as numerous or as extreme as those in other parks, and there is a greater emphasis on rides suitable for young children. The parks are split into various areas, which are common between the parks, for example all the parks include a Lego miniland, a model village which includes models of landmarks and scenes from around the world made from millions of genuine Lego bricks. Other common features include a Lego Mindstorms centre (fun-based learning), Duplo Gardens (for smaller children), Driving area (including attractions such as Driving school, Boating school, Ballooning school and Fire Academy), My Town, Wild Woods and Knight's Kingdom. The parks' rides are all Lego themed; many are made to appear as if they are built out of Lego bricks. They tend to be based on one particular line of Lego: for example, a popular ride at all four parks is the Dragon Coaster, which is loosely based on the Knights' Kingdom Lego sets. Another popular ride is the

Endangered Animals

In addition to this, wildlife must have a place to find food and shelter from the weather. Logging, oil and gas drilling, over-grazing and real estate development have all resulted in the destruction of these habitats, which must be minimized as much as possible. Another way to solve the problem is to stop buying products that are made from animal skin. The lack of demand would result in hunters being unable to continue their business. Finally, it is important to pay attention when driving. One of the problems in developed areas is that roads divide habitats, meaning they are a constant hazard to not only themselves, but to the people driving on those roads as well. So when you're out and about, slow down and keep an eye out for wildlife. In conclusion, I strongly believe that helping wildlife is necessary because if we don't do anything, nobody will.

Speed cameras are not a good way to make our roads safer. Do you agree with this statement?

Speed cameras are not a good way to make our roads safer. Do you agree with this statement? The offical reason for installing cameras that monitor along the roads is that they will bring speed down and due to this many lives can be saved. Speed cameras probably decrease the average speed a bit at the spot where the camera is, but in my opinion they really make driving much more stressful and unsafe. First of all, in our country there are a lot of speed cameras on the roads. Mostly of them are on a straight roads, which even do not need a speed camera. As our country is pretty small, almost everybody driving daily knows exactly where are these speeding cameras. That makes no sense because they slow down before the camera and after it they speed up. Secondly, people are afraid of tickets. They must check their speedometer

CARPOOLING/esitlus inglise keeles

You need to know that carpooling is the sharing of car journeys so that more than one person travels in a car. The driver doesn’t try to earn money, but to share with several people the cost of a trip he would do anyway. The expenses to be divided basically include the fuel and possible tolls. Let me introduce to you good points of carpooling: Firstly. by having more people using one vehicle, carpooling reduces each person's travel costs such as fuel costs, tolls, and the stress of driving. Secondly, carpooling is also a more environmentally friendly way to travel. Please pay attention, that sharing journeys reduces carbon emissions, traffic congestion on the roads, and the need for parking spaces. What do you think about problems with parking places? It is really hard to find parking place near our university. In our days, when the Internet could be used not only from a computer, it has greatly helped

Big data in cloud

- Volume. Organizations collect data from a variety of sources, including business transactions, social media, and information from sensor or machine-to-machine data. In the past, storing it would’ve been a problem – but new technologies (such as Hadoop) have eased the burden. [3] - Velocity. Data streams in at an unprecedented speed and must be dealt with in a timely manner. RFID tags, sensors, and smart metering are driving the need to deal with torrents of data in near-real time. [3] - Variety. Data comes in all types of formats – from structured, numeric data in traditional databases to unstructured text documents, email, video, audio, stock ticker data, and financial transactions. [3] With its extensive volumes, it needs to be stored somewhere, so it could be easily accessed and then processed. The best storage location we have for it, for now, is the cloud, or in other

Cars enslave us rather than liberate us

the wheel, there is no way out of this comfort. To begin with, car requires a many expenditure, starting from purchasing a car and ending with technical controls, supplying of fuel and so on. It can be said that the material side of the car sustenance is difficult. A person must have a stable income to afford a car. Moreover, it is expensive to get a driver's license. It can be said that owning a car is an expensive pleasure. Secondly, driving a car can be compared to addiction as Matthew Perry once said:" I think we need to educate doctors about our addiction." Initially, people may not notice it, but over time it becomes clear that people cannot pass even the smaller distances without car. For instance, there are people who drive to the gym to do a workout there even if the distance is small. Nonetheless, it is good to have a car if it is necessary to save time.

included. The experts pretiction to future isn't that bad at all. They say that people start to realise how much damage they do. There has to be done something to make statistics better and the first thing is to understand the problem itself. If the main point crashes into everyones head then there is a possibility that humans become more careful. It is a a lot to do how one thinks. The conclusion is to make drivers think about their driving style. Theres no hurry any time. You don't want to kill anyone. Make the goverment more interested in the driving culture. Put more effort to make the traffic more descent. Nevertheless school children be careful!

Inglise keele arvustus sarjale Jeeves and Wooster

otherwise Stephen did also great job. Here is opinion to him by Michael Brooke: ,,Although Fry was too young to be totally convincing as Jeeves, his superciliously sarcastic "Indeed, sir?" and aura of vast intelligence were enhanced by the actor's real-life reputation as an all- round polymath." Jeeves was intelligent and bated and I really liked his role. The most importand thing in this comedy series, is how directors bring out the old timing: old cars and carriage's were driving on the streets, peoples were wearing smart clothes (mens: dinner jackets, womans: galants dresses), coca-cola commercial was everywere, because that was the time when coca cola as new drink came out. Jokes were bounded and decenced. There wasn't no special effects or action. For example there were a car accident. In one moment camera filmed car when it was driving towards the people. And the next frame some person had rolled over, and thats it. Also Wooster was playing golf , which told

Estonian and the Russian youth in Tallinn. It is based on Estonian human Development Report 2009. it seems that Estonian and Russian youth most like sport activities ,in addition they are concerned about studying languages too.Dancing is also an occupation what is very popular amongst younger generation. It appears they have a lot of similar hobbies although percentages seem to different by nationality. These are drama groups, health clubs, folk groups, religious groups and car driving. In general it seems taht Russian and Estonian children are very active and keen on to providing for a bright future. Despite of many similarities there are some differences too.Surprisingly Estonian youngsters are not very interested in photography, pets' clubs, computer studies and youth societies.Although for compensation, they sing in choirs and they do handicraft. As we can see from the chart, Russian youth do not get involved in aforementioned activities.

Kristo Karu tells a little bit about his childhood. When I was a child I liked to make troubles. Once I was cutting hammer handle into two pieces. Granddad punished me. Also I have been driving with sledge on very big puddle. Sledge didn't make it. I got very wet. Once I had been hitting chicken with bow arrow, granny saw me. This was very big trouble. I liked to eat matches when I found some. These tasted good. I spent very much time at granny's place when I was a child. Granny liked when I was there even I was very bad child. How can we reduce air pollution level in cities?

How can we reduce air pollution level in cities? The air pollution levels are extremely high in cities, but how can people change this situation? Cars and big factories emit lots of deleterious gases into the air, for example carbonic acid gas, cities are not healthy places to live anymore. Firstly, we should using the public transport. Everybody can walk and bicycle instead of driving cars. Vehicles emit a lot of harmful gases into the air. Every family member does not need his or her own car. One car for the whole family would minimise the number of cars in cities and air pollution levels will come down. Secondly, people have to recycle. It would help reduce factories work. It will emit less harmful gases into the air. Finally, we should plant more trees in cities and also create more national parks. They produce oxygen. In conclusion, there are many ways to make cities better...

The articles were about person's driving reflexes, based on research of driver reaction time. The main object of this game was to find out your reflexes on the road to reaveal how 'old' you are between 18 and 90 years old. While the basic principles generalize to estimating other reaction times, the exact numbers do not. Each type of reaction time has its own pecularities that must be examined. For example, reaction time for a shooter who is tracking a target might be 0.4 second, but even this would be a function of trigger pull weight

The Major Environmental Problems in Estonia The environment and saving it are important topics in today's world. In fact there are often several articles in newspapers and on television about environmental problems all around the world. To begin with, Estonia is a little country with small towns. In spite of that there is pollution. Most of the people here have their own cars and they prefer driving five hundred meters by car than walking by foot. In addition to that pollution is also caused by industries which are often located in towns near peoples' homes. As Estonia belongs to developed countries, people have enough power purchased and they mindlessly buy things they do not even need. According to that there is overconsumption which also causes huge waste dumps. Lastly there is abuse of the natural resources in Estonia. While wasting paper, people do not think

Pros and Cons of Technology

Pros and Cons of Technology Humans are developing technology every day. What are the benefits and risks that technology can cause to humanity? There are a lot of different fields of technology. It is hard to find a profession where people do not use technology. Thanks to technology, we can make much more work during the day, for example a car, we can get from one town to another much faster with driving than walking. Althought it is good and comfortable for humans, it is not good for the air we breathe because of the exhaust fumes. This is the example to my belief that every technology have pros and cons at the same time. Year by year people are getting used to get their work done by or with technology, that is why i think we may get lazy and do not value what we have to do to get something done. Technology helps us to live longer. Our medicine is on whole next level than it was a century ago

Cars are the greatest danger to human life today

Cars are the greatest danger to human life today Nowadays driving with cars are very popular because they are very convenient and fast. Even though, there are people, who don't use cars for their own reasons. In my opinion, cars are useful and they give us more personal freedom. In the first place, there are a lot of people, who die in a car accident every year. The way I see it, is that peole themselves cause the greatest harm to society, not cars. Cars are not all dangerous if they're driven with care and attention.

Rural versus Urban

Of course, living in a rural or an urban society-both have their strong sides and weak sides. I have lived in rural society for my whole life so I know how life outside city is. Best thing about not living in a town is the quietness. If you have lived in quietness for your whole life then you won't even understand how pleasant it actually is. But I have heard that many city peoples enjoys only the peace and quietness at countryside, because when you live in town you hear till morning to evening driving cars. Another big plus for rural environment is clean and beautiful nature. Forests where you can go camping and lakes where you can go swimming. It may look very exciting to an urban people but it may seem boring to rural people. So, good thing about living in city is that there are probably many more people who you can meet with. Thanks to this there is a bigger possibility that you would find yourself a girlfriend or a boyfriend or just some very good friend

INGLISKEELNE TRANSMISSIONI TÖÖPÕHIMÕTE

TRANSMISSION 1. A transmission or gearbox provides speed and torque conversions from a rotating power source to another device using gear ratios. The most common use is in motor vehicles, where the transmission adapts the output of the internal combustion engine to the drive wheels. Such engines need to operate at a relatively high rotational speed, which is inappropriate for starting, stopping, and slower travel. The transmission reduces the higher engine speed to the slower wheel speed, increasing torque in the process.. While a differential may also provide gear reduction, its primary purpose is to change the direction of rotation. Many manual transmissions include both synchronized and unsynchronized gearing; it is not uncommon for the first/reverse gear to lack synchros. Those gears are meant to be shifted into only when the vehicle is stopped. 2. Converter Clutch ,Torque Convert...

Proposal report

buy their everyday food and drinks. Clothing stores would also be very useful as there are not many around this town. Lastly, we would propose electronics and free time stores and sporting goods stores for people to purchase various goods that suit their hobbies. Our objections to the center Our only objections to the shopping center are that since malls take away a lot of space, it will ruin the beautiful scenery outside the city. Also, more cars would be constantly driving down the road which would then increase the noise pollution. Conclusion Overall, the residents' committee agrees that the shopping center being built is a good idea and will help this town greatly in terms of giving people a bigger freedom of choice in where to shop.

Living in the countryside – a pleasant experience or a never-ending hardship?

city. Also you are away from all the noise that cars make on the streets. In the countryside you can relax and enjoy the sound of nature. In the countryside you can do what you want, because the neighbours are far away. Also you lots of garden room and a lot more privacy than in the city. On the other hand living in the countryside can be hard. You have to do most of the chores by yourself. Secondly schools and stores are far. Driving back and forward every day may drive you crazy. Also you may start feeling lonely and that will make you sad. Also living in the countryside is more expensive than living in the city. In case of an emergency, firefighters and ambulance can´t reach you that easy. Living in the countryside can be good and also bad. Some people love being surrounded by nature, some people are more comfortable with a city life. At the end it is every persons own choice where he or she wants to live.
