Should children be encouraged to do sports?

Should children be encouraged to do sports? The majority of parents do not know how to make their children understand the importance of exercising, especially because of the amout of technology no child will rather go out and play football than sitting at home and watching TV or playing video games. Should we encourage children to do sports? Firstly, doing sports is important for our health and if children do not do sports it may cause health conditions when they get older for example overweight. Choosing an exercise should

Locke essay

Student signature - Alex Callaghan Date - 24/04/2014 Critically evaluate Locke's theory of limited government The end of law is not to abolish or restrain, but to preserve and enlarge freedom. For in all the states of created beings, capable of laws, where there is no law there is no freedom. John Locke Although John Locke is not the progenitor of social contract theory and is not by any means the last philosopher to wrestle with this concept, his views on fiduciary power, majority consent and limited government have been instrumental in western political thought from the time of the publication of his Two treatises of government to the present day. Locke's writings refute the notions both of the divine right of kings and absolute government by arguing that peoples' destiny should be determined by majority will. In Locke's view this can only be achieved by what he defines as limited government, an overarching framework which allows the people to amend or even

Correlation between brand longevity and the diffusion of innovations theory

elements. Adopter Categories – exemplified with iPhones & Estonians Innovators – always want to be first with new things, more well off so they have the means to do it. (Someone who would travel to US in order to get the newest iPhone before everyone else) Early adopters – the first bigger group who might take on the change quite early, not desperately early though. (Those guys who buy the phone from Estonia as soon as it hits the market). Early majority – they decide that the innovation is good, after getting an OK from the innovators & early adopters (early adopters often include opinion leaders). (Those would be the middle class people who get the idea of quality of the iPhone through previous groups.) Late majority – in many general articles the early and late majority are not differentiated, rather called just ‘majority’. So the late ones just are on the later end of the majority.

Report

Dear Sir, The report describes the problem of student transport. In order to prepare this report we interviewed students from all parts of college. According to students we spoke to, the car park is used by a lot of visitors and year by year more students have more cars. Not surprisingly, the car park becomes full and there are not enough possibilities to leave car. The second problem is that the buses often run late and are always full. The majority of students cannot afford the taxi fare from home to college. Some of them are unwilling to go on foot, because they are living far from college. The most realistic solution is to improve the bus service, writing to bus company. As a result good public transport will reduce the number of private cars. The second decision is to raise the price of car parking and extend it into the sports field. Perhaps it will take some time and extra money, but it will solve the majority of our transport

British Parliament

public, and this change is unlikely to happen in the near future. The House of Commons The House of Commons is the main House of the British Parliament in terms of legislative power. It is a chamber composed of 650 members (Members of Parliament or MPs ) elected by universal suffrage. The life of a Parliament is five years. According to an ancient tradition, MPs are elected by universal suffrage under a system of relative majority, in one round of voting. This means that the candidate with the most votes in an election is elected, whether or not he or she has an absolute majority of votes. This system favors the major political parties, and stable governments - at the expense of smaller parties. Elected Members of Parliament do not have a deputy, so in the event of the death, resignation or removal of an MP, a "by-election" must be called in order to elect a new MP.

island, with Northern Ireland, part of the United Kingdom, covering the remainder in the north-east. The first settlements in Ireland date from 8000 BC. By 200 BC Celtic migration and influence had come to dominate the island. Relatively small scale settlement by both the Vikings and Normans in the Middle Ages gave way to complete English domination by the 1600s. Protestant English rule resulted in the marginalisation of the Catholic majority, although in the north-east, Protestants were in the majority. A famine in the mid-1800s caused deaths and emigration. Following a war of independence, Ireland was split into: the independent Irish Free State and Northern Ireland, which remains a part of the United Kingdom. The Free State left the Commonwealth to become a Republic in 1949. In 1973 both parts of Ireland joined the European Economic Community. The Troubles in Northern

Kas eestlased on kaotamas oma identiteeti kaasaegses globaliseeruvas maailmas?

muudavad Eestis oleva kultuuri. Ühelt poolt see rikastab kultuuri, annab uut jõudu. Situatsioon riigis on

Thoughts on Air Pollution Essay

Air pollution includes all contaminants found in the atmosphere. These dangerous substances can be either in the form of gases or particles. Air pollution can be found both outdoors and indoors. Pollutants can be trapped inside buildings, causing indoor pollution that lasts for a long time. The sources of air pollution are both natural and human-based. As one might expect, humans have been producing increasing amounts of pollution as time has progressed, and they now account for the majority of pollutants released into the air. Air pollution has been a problem throughout history. Even in Ancient Romepeople complained about smoke put into the atmosphere. The effects of air pollution are diverse and numerous. Air pollution can have serious consequences for the health of human beings, and also severely affects natural ecosystems. Because it is located in the atmosphere, air pollution is able to travel easily. As a result, air pollution

Holiday time My holiday began from a class trip to Tartu. There we visited the Estonian National Defence College. Afterwards, I took a bus ride to Tallinn, where I spent the rest of my holiday. Due to my brother moving house, I had to help him out with that. The majority of the work involved stacking firewood from one shed to another, whilst sorting it out to dried and raw. During free time, we went shopping into different shopping centres. I left Tallinn on Saturday, so I would have a day to prepare for school.

Economy of Estonia

Estonia is timber, paper and furniture industry. Second comes the food processing industry, mostly in the form of meat and milk producing, but the production of drinks, bread and confectioneries is also substantial. Food industry that has undergone huge changes during the recent years, offers quite varied products. Estonians love locally produced food, considering it to be purer, of a higher quality and more tasty. For instance, in the early 1990s the majority of the ice-cream on the market was imported as virtually no ice-cream was produced in Estonia, but presently the share of imported product has fallen to 14.5%. Such change has been fostered by production methods that have quickly become more modern and more varied. Several producers hope to soon enter the EU market with their production. Part 2 Light industry yields a highly varied output from cotton fabrics to clothing and footwear.

Should we first discover our homeland before going abroad?

Should we first discover our homeland before going to other countries? It does not matter where in the world you live you always tend to think that anywhere else life is better and has more opportunities to success in life. It may be so but the majority sometimes does not even know the chances and advantages of their own homeland. If to talk about in the matter of travelling then I am assured that it is not relevant to drive through all your homeland in order to take a plane to another country. Some of the countries (or some parts of it) are so big or hardly reachable that half of the locals wont access these parts of the country never in their whole lifetime. Purpose The purpose of this report is to comment conditions in the school and to make recommendations for possible improvements. The survey has been conducted among our class students. Canteen Firstly, the canteen`s food prices are too low and service is very slow. It would be a good idea to mark down the price of food and to put meals on the table before lunch break. As result service would be faster and more students could afford eating school lunch . Library Furthermore, the majority of the students (56%) are not agreed with library opening hours and range of books. By buying more books and changing library opening hours, we could solve the problem. Teachers` teaching styles Last, the minority of our class students (22%) do not like the teachers` teaching styles. Teachers should explain more clearly what they exactly want from students. In this way all the students would accept the teachers` teaching styles. Conclusion

The electronic Population and Housing Census will take place during the first month of the Census and 2/3 of the people questioned are planning to use the opportunity to answer the questionnaires electronically. Most of them are people under the age of 54, as the majority of people from 54- 77 expect a visit from the enumerator. This demonstrates that the older generation doesn't feel as comfortable using a computer. In conclusion, people's awareness of the Census is high and the results of it are very anticipated.

I think no, they aren't best way to test intelligent. Because the majority of students are very nervous during exams and they can't focus and making mistakes. There also will not be enough time. Does anyone in real life situation prohibit you to check your spelling grammar from dictionary or look online help for the problems. Some people are smarter, while others do not. The modern means of transportation allows people to move quickly from one place to another. The airplane is the most widely used means of transportation. The Internet has changed the way the people communicate to each other. With every passing day, more and more people use chat as a way to communicate. It is a way to meet new people, but it is also a way to decrease real relationships day after day. And The major disadvantage are machines and robots will replace people at work and majority of people will lose their jobs. In conclusion, as I have mentioned above, I can say that technology helping us and making our life more happier, easier, stronger, more convenient and make this world a better place to live. Education: Some people say that students should study only those subjects they are interested in Im going to discuss if students should study only those subjects they are interested in or not. Nowadays students are quite lazy and do not want to study or go to school. They think it is boring and parents work really hard to make them study. Also, a lot of students think that the majority of the subjects they are learning are pointless. But actually none of those are pointless and every thing has a reason. In addition to that, if students could choose the subjects themselves, then some classes would be really empty. For example, a lot of students do not like maths or reading. Math develops logic and then we could imagine how many people would be without logical thinking. And reading books enriches vocabulary, so if people do not read books at all, their vocabulary would be quite small. On the ot...

Moreover men also like cooking and laundry in spite of losing their manhood. As expected, women occupy most of their time on child care. However it is surprising that they spend nearly one fifth on building. The reason for this may be due to men having more jobs outside of the home, earning money for the family. On the basis of the points mentioned above, men and women share in doing all tasks in caring for the household. However, women naturally do more around the house as they spend the majority of their time there, while caring for the children. In this, the women create the heart of the home where men work hard to provide for their family and be loving husbands.

Poverty in World

Third World countries are often described as "developing" while the First World, industrialized nations are often "developed". A lack of material wealth does not necessarily mean that one is deprived. A strong economy in a developed nation doesn't mean much when a significant percentage (even a majority) of the population is struggling to survive. Politics have led to dire conditions in many poorer nations. In many cases, international political interests have led to a diversion of available resources from domestic needs to western markets. This has resulted in a lack of basic access to food, water, health, education and other important social services. This is a major obstacle to equitable development. Poverty has also been described as the number one health problem for many poor nations as they do not have the resources to meet the growing needs. But poverty is not restricted just to developing countries. Industrialized nations are...

You are what you think you are

and theories, but in my opinion it just is not true. For example, every politican or person on a high paying job, who i have ever seen, has worked his way up the career ladder. Usualy they have studied very hard in school, to get to where they want to be. Most of them have gotten to where they want to be. Of course there are people who have gotten to important positions in life thanks to luck and many of them have had a lot of good ideas or have the imprtant knowledge, but majority of people are not that talentes so they have to work hard in life. I belive that if you set lifegoals to yourselt and imagine yourself completing those goals, you have the morale and motivation to actually complete those goal. You just have to think what you want, imagine that you have what you want, and there is a great chance that you will get what you want. Martin Ilsin 11A

and Angelina Merkel's party is not as nearly as popular as she is. Her opponents, the Social democrats, traited in the opinion polls. Die Linke provides a strong voice for the Left. It means a criticism of capitalism is taken far more seriously and concerns with the system and society are seriously considered and addressed. Had the Christian Democratic Union, the Christian Social Union of Bavaria, and the Free Democratic Party failed to win a majority of seats, possible alternative coalitions may have included a continuation of the grand coalition of The Christian Democratic Union, Social Union of Bavaria and Social Democratic Party.

A letter and an essay

Still more disturbing is the fact that an alarming proportion--approximately onethird--of the students have neither. Eating brown bread Interestingly enough, bread, a good source of fiber, enjoys popularity among young people. 75 per cent of the students surveyed eat three or more slices of brown bread per day, with only a quarter of respondents restricting themselves to one or two slices. Eating fat As regards fat consumption, the majority of the students eat margarine. Four students prefer butter, and another four eat neither. Conclusion It is noticeable that the eating habits of students in their final year at Freedonian Secondary School are not very healthy. Moreover, there are no students who have both breakfast and school lunch, eat more than four slices of brown bread per day, and avoid fat.
