A celebrity is a person who works hard all his life to become well known, and then wears darkglasses to avoid being recognized. Who wouldn't want to be in the spotlight? Being a celebrity means having nice cars, gigantic villas, clothes from famous fashions designers and a shot on the front cover of a magazine each week. The first answer among children to the question `Who would you like to be in the future?' most likely tends to be a singer, a model, a dancer, or simply: a superstar. My best friend I have one best friend. Her name is Elen and we have known each other since we were 12 years old. We met with her in school in dance class about 14 years ago. If I were to describe how she looks, I would say she is very pretty. She has short brown hair, brown almond-shaped eyes, a small nose and a small pointed chin. She is not very tall but not short either and she is quite slim. She doesn't like to dress up so I usually see her wearing jeans and a T-shirt or sweater. It seems like she and I are always talking or laughing about something

Reasons why people work

Reasons why people work In today's society it is known that people work because they need money to live. As Leonardo da Vinci said " God sells us all things at the price of labour " and unfortunately it tends to be true. However, there are still some of the other reason why people work. As Mothet Teresa said " Work without love is slavery" and fortunately there are many people in world who work because they love what they do. For example artists, musicians and actors do not earn a lot of money, however they can give the world

Navajo Artwork

Silversmithing Silversmithing is an important art form among Navajo. Silversmithing dates back to the 1800s when Navajo artists began melting silver coins to make jewelry. By the 1890s, Navajo silversmiths had begun setting turquoise into their jewelry. Navajo smiths began adding large chunks of stones, usually turquoise, to the silver in unique designs. Over time, they developed tools and techniques to stamp or engrave the metal. Today, Navajo jewelry is well known and highly valued by both Native and non-Native Americans. It remains a distinctive feature of Navajo history and culture. Basketry Navajos are also known for their basket work. They believe the First Man and First Woman made baskets for ceremonial purposes. Each part of the basket has a very distinct meaning. Like Navajo textiles, only women generally make baskets. Some Navajo baskets have specific symbols and colors,

My favourite band: Dagö

Dagö First time, when I heard band Dagö playing, was at Viljandi Folk Music Festival in 2007. I liked them very much and I went to all three concersts they gave at Festival. Although they have made music for about a decade, they have never been widely known. Maybe because they write and play music with their own style rather than try to win hearts and ears of masses. But always known in certain circle of people, who go to theatre and enjoy quality music, because lead singer of the band, Lauri Saataplu, is well-known actor and singer. I like their music, because of the addicting off-beat rythm they have. They have announced that their new album ,,Plan Delta" will be released in April of 2011.

There are nearly 20,000 known species of bee, in nine recognized families, though many are undescribed and the actual number is probably higher. They are found on every continent except Antarctica, in every habitat on the planet that contains insect-pollinated flowering plants. Bees are adapted for feeding on nectar and pollen, the former primarily as an energy source, and the latter primarily for protein and other nutrients. Most pollen is used as food for larvae.

Character reference (soovituskiri)

To Whom It May Concern, I am very pleased to write a character reference for (name) I have known (name) since (date). I clearly remember the first time I met her. She was very friendly towards everyone and that really gave me a good impression of her. And even now I think she is a very joyful and lovely person, who cares for others as much as for herself. During these two and a half months I have known (name), she has always been very hard-working and extremely passionate about everything she does. She is strong-willed and if she somehow doesn't succeed in something, she tries again and again until she does. (name) is also very committed to her education and very industrious. Her favourite subjects are math and Estonian. I would certainly recommend (name) for any position where hard-working, passionate and co- operative people are valued. Sincerely, (signature, name)
