The roof is made of red stone. The construction of the stronghold was closely connected with the Estonians fight against the German feudals. The first documented data about Kuressaare castle originate only from 1380s. Kuressaare castle remained the residence for the bishops of Saare-Lääne Bishopric until the beginning of the Livonian War. At the end of the XIV and the beginning of the XV century the castle was surrounded by a new mighty 625 m long and 7 m high belt of walls, erected around the old belt of walls dating from the XIII century. The necessity to improve the defence of the castle was due to the invention and usage of firearms. The old parts of the walls have been preserved in the new earthwork and bastions even today. In the middle of the XV century the wall was made higher and cannon towers were built. The most powerful was the Cannon Tower on the Northern Bastion from about 1470, restored in 1971-72.

I was going to sleep when somebody knoked on my door. I sceared to death because i dont´t like to be home alone. I scared but i went to the door. When i opened the door there were three men. They looked very criminal. They asked is my parents at home. I dont´t know what i thinked at that instant but i said no. After that they pushed me inside and told me to shut up. They pulled their guns out and point it to my head. I started screaming and crying. They asked me quickly belt up or they gonna shoot me. When i was little calm down i asked what they want. They said that they want money and told me to call my parents. They said that my parent must pay one milion eurs. Before i get to call, the police arrived. Luckly one of my neighbours had heard my screaming and called police. I was so shoked. After that i don´t dare to be home alone anymore. I really hope that nobody don´t need to go throug this situation.

Describing People Yesterday, as I was walking in the street I met an old friend of mine. This was Marin, who was doing her shopping tour just like me. She looked amazing! Marin is a tall, well-built woman. She has got a long face, green eyes and a long thin nose. She usually wears her gorgeous long dark hair loose. She is dressed casually almost all the time, but still with elegant. Yesterday she was wearing blue jeans and golden belt on her hips. She had knee- high boots and white short coat. She wore her hair loose and had a fabulous white scarf around her neck. Marin is cheerful and smiling almost all the year around. At least it seems like this to others, because she laughs a lot and is a very positive person. Marin likes to socialise and help others in every way that she can. She is very nice and neat and the most helpful person I know. But all the bright sides have always something negative. So do Marin
