The show depicts what many people find to be taboo subject matter , from its use of vulgarity ("It Hits the Fan") to its satire of subjects such as religion and cults (such as "All About the Mormons?", "Bloody Mary", "Red Hot Catholic Love", "Fantastic Easter Special ", and "Trapped in the Closet"), sexuality ("The Death Camp of Tolerance "), drugs ("My Future Self n' Me", "Up the Down Steroid"), and global warming ("Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow").
Beginning
South Park began in 1992 when Trey Parker and Matt Stone, at the time students at the University of Colorado, met in a film class and created an animated short called Jesus vs. Frosty. The low- budget crudely made film featured prototypes of the main characters of South Park, including a character resembling Cartman but named "Kenny", an unnamed character resembling what is today Kenny, and two near -identical unnamed characters who would resemble Stan and Kyle.
FOX executive Brian Graden saw the film and in 1995 commissioned Parker and Stone to create a second short film that he could send to his friends as a video Christmas card. Titled Jesus vs. Santa , it resembled the style of the later series more closely, and featured a martial arts duel and subsequent truce between Jesus and Santa Claus over the true meaning of Christmas.[8] This video was later featured in the episode "A Very Crappy Christmas" in which Stan, Kyle, Cartman, Kenny, and Mr. Hankey "save" Christmas for the town. The video was popular and was widely shared, both by duplication and over the Internet . This led to talks to create a series, first with FOX, then with Comedy Central, where the series debuted on August 13, 1997.
EPISODES
New episodes air on Wednesdays, so production begins the previous Thursday and takes the entire team 100–120 hours each to complete in the ensuing week.[9] Almost all work on the series is done in-house at South Park Studios in Culver City, Los Angeles .
  • Animation

The show's style of animation was inspired by the paper cut-out cartoons made by Terry Gilliam for Monty Python's Flying Circus, of which Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been lifelong fans.[13] Construction paper and traditional stop motion cutout animation techniques were used in the original animated shorts and in the pilot episode made for Comedy Central. The pilot episode required three months to produce. Subsequent episodes have been produced by computer animation providing a similar look to the originals while requiring a fraction of the time to produce. Episodes of South Park are usually completed in four or five days.[14]
Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (and previously CorelDRAW) are used to design new characters and objects, which are then imported into and animated using Maya (PowerAnimator was used prior to the fifth season ).
A few episodes use an entirely different style of animation, for example, portions of " Good Times with Weapons" was done in anime style, while "Make Love, Not Warcraft " was done partly in machinima.
  • Voice cast

Matt Stone and Trey Parker voice most of the male South Park characters,[20] while April Stewart and Mona Marshall (formerly Mary Kay Bergman and Eliza Schneider) voice most of the female characters such as Wendy Testaburger and Sheila Broflovski. Other voices are currently provided by Adrien Beard ( Token Black),[21] Vernon Chatman (Towelie),[20] and Jennifer Howell (Bebe Stevens).
  • Music

The show's original theme song was a musical score performed by the band Primus and sung by the band's lead singer Les Claypool . The original composition was originally slower but was sped up for the show.[28] An instrumental version of the original theme song is still often played during the show's closing credits.[28] The opening theme song has been remixed three times during the course of the series (as of season ten), and certain lines have been altered. Starting from the episode "4th Grade ", a hip hop version of the theme song remixed by Paul Robb was used. From season six onwards, the theme song changed to an even faster version with a more country music influence . Halfway through season 10 the title music was once again remixed to sample the song "Whamola", performed by The Les Claypool Frog Brigade, from the album Purple Onion
Additional musical contributions to the show formerly came from Isaac Hayes, who voiced Chef's singing of usually sexual songs to explain certain adult themes to the boys
Popular songs such as "Kyle's Mom is a Big Fat Bitch " originated on the show, but the creators' musical abilities were not frequently used until the release of South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. The film's soundtrack (co-written and produced by Grammy Award -winning composer-lyricist Marc Shaiman) featured songs like "Blame Canada " (nominated for an Oscar), "I'm Super," "La Resistance Medley," "Hell Isn't Good," "Mountain Town," "Uncle Fucka" (won an MTV Movie Award for "Best Musical Performance "), "Up There," and "What Would Brian Boitano Do?." Parker and Stone have, on occasion, performed these songs (and others ) with their band DVDA.
    Character
    Stan Marsh
Stan is often skeptical of popular trends
Stan is modeled after his voice actor, co-creator Trey Parker, also sharing his birthday of October 19. In many episodes, Stan often reflects on the moral lessons he's attained in a speech that often begins with, "You know , I learned something today...". He suffers from asthma and is often subject to the harsh bullying of his older sister , Shelley . His father Randy is a geologist, and his mother Sharon, works as a secretary at Tom's Rhinoplasty.
Stan has indicated a fondness for animals
Stan is usually seen in a brown jacket, blue denim jeans , red gloves/mittens, and a red-brimmed blue knit cap adorned with a decorative red pom-pon.
Kyle is Stan's best friend, and their relationship is a common topic throughout the series
Stan is usually seen solely with Kenny when Kyle is not around.
Stan and Butters are generally on friendly terms , although at times Stan tends to be generally annoyed by Butters.
Despite the fact that Stan often resents Cartman and enjoys making fun of him, he does show a slight bond with Cartman, and is seen enjoying himself during the few times he is shown to be playing solely with Cartman.
    KYLE
He suffers from diabetes, and other bouts with his health have been the subject of several episodes
Kyle's father Gerald is a lawyer , and his mother Sheila is a sometimes-overbearing housewife. Kyle has no biological siblings, but does have a younger adopted brother from Canada named Ike.
Kyle is inept at choreographed dancing, and, in the eyes of Cartman, perpetuated the stereotype that " Jews have no rhythm ".
Kyle often provides a sober thought to plans or ideas made by the other boys, and explains a moral outlook while drawing upon his vast knowledge and intelligence
Kyle wears a bright green ear-flapped cap (ushanka), a bright orange jacket, dark green pants, and lime -green mittens or gloves. In the rare instances he is shown without his cap, he is shown to have a bright red-to-auburn Jewfro, a hairstyle he seems to resent .
Kyle and Kenny don't interact that much during the show and aren 't seen alone together very much, but are known to be quite good friends
The enmity between Cartman and Kyle has been in the show from the start, but has become significantly more pronounced as the series has progressed. Cartman holds an anti-Semitic attitude towards Kyle, whereas Kyle makes cracks at Cartman's weight and is horrified and disgusted with Cartman's immorality, cruelty, bigotry, and greed.
Kyle is considered more friendly and caring of Butters than anyone else in the show, due to Butters' cooperation with him.
    CARTMAN
Cartman is an obese, foul-mouthed, mean-spirited, selfish, and ill-tempered fourth-grader living with his hermaphroditic de facto mother in the fictional town of South Park, Colorado.
Liane spoils Cartman, bends to his persuasion , and contributes to his weight problem by allowing him to eat vast amounts of junk food
Cartman has a large collection of stuffed animals, the one of which he is most fond being a frog he refers to as " Clyde Frog".
He finds his cat, Mr. Kitty , to be particularly bothersome, often reacting angrily to its presence
Cartman's extreme disdain for hippies (based on his voice actor's real life hatred of hippies[18]), his desire to appear on television , and his avarice are other traits the show has customarily depicted.
He has shown an initiative in taking a businesslike approach to earning money , starting his own "hippie control", and "parental revenge" operations
Cartman has also proven a knack for bargaining, serving as negotiator for his and his friends' snow-shoveling venture, and mediating relentlessly with potential buyers of fetuses he intended to sell for stem cell research
In the season five episode " Scott Tenorman Must Die", Cartman, feeling cheated out of $16.12 by a local ninth-grader named Scott Tenorman, successfully executed an elaborate scheme to publicly humiliate Scott in front of his favorite band, but not before tricking him into eating his own recently deceased parents
Cartman usually wears a red coat , brown pants, yellow gloves/mittens, and a yellow-brimmed turquoise knit cap tapered with a yellow pom-pon. He has parted brown hair , and, more often than the other children on the show with distinctive head wear, he is seen without his hat.
Cartman often teases Kenny about his poverty , with the latter usually reacting angrily.
Cartman's resentment of Stan is usually reserved for when Cartman proudly exclaims his hatred for both Stan and Kyle as a duo, and his contempt for Stan as an individual doesn't run as deeply as it does for Kyle.
Their relationship has received significant focus in the more recent seasons of the series, and is mostly limited to Cartman's mischievous treatment of Butters.
    KENNY
the poorest kid in the neighborhood, he would wear a tightly-drawn orange parka that muffled his speech. When developing the character, the show's creators had observed that most groups of childhood friends in small middle-class towns always included "the one poor kid", and decided to portray Kenny in this light , as well as portraying him as being eager to do and say disgusting things in an attempt to impress others.
Kenny comes from a poor household, resided over by his violent , alcoholic and unemployed parents, Stuart and Carol McCormick.
Kenny is fond of toilet humor and pornography, and when it comes to sexually-related subjects, he is the most knowledgeable of the group. Others will typically ask for his explanation of sexual matters unknown to them . Kenny's lechery is also one of his prominent characteristics; his bedroom walls are frequently shown to adorn posters of bikini-clad models, and he has lusted over several girls and women over the course of the series
Kenny's parka hood is always tightly drawn, leaving only his eyes (and un-animated nose) exposed. Sometimes, when he is frightened, he will tighten the cords on his hood to hide even more of his face . As a result, all of Kenny's spoken lines are heavily muffled. While his friends understand him easily, adult residents often have problems understanding Kenny's speech, requiring the others to translate for him.

    Referaat - Jackass

Jackass Koostas: Klass: Origins The show developed from Big Brother Magazine, a skateboarding-related humor magazine that Jeff Tremaine, Dave Carnie, Rick Kosick and Chris Pontius all worked for, and featured regular contributions from Johnny Knoxville, Tyler Newton and Dave England, among others. The concept of Jackass dates back to 1999 when struggling-actor-turned-writer Johnny Knoxville birthed the idea to test different self defense devices on himself as the basis for an article. He pitched the idea to a couple of magazines and was turned down until meeting with Jeff Tremaine of Big Brother. Tremaine hired him as a journalist and convinced Johnny to videotape this idea and other stunts for stories. The footage, which involved Knoxville being ta

I The Birth of Batman The creation of the fictional superhero Batman is credited to artist Bob Kane, even though in reality he was cocreated with writer Bill Finger. Batman first appeared in 1939 in Detective Comics #27. Since then Batman has been an important and influential character in the comic book universe. Publisher of DC Comics, Vin Sullivan was looking for something new for Detective Comics, which would be as intriguing as Superman had been in Action Comics, but it had to be something completely new. Sullivan's ideas inspired Kane, and he credits the creation of Batman as much to Sullivan as to himself. Kane's first image was very much a hero with birdlike wings, but during the process of drawing evolved into a more scallop

In sentiment, scope, overall conception, and many particulars, Longfellow's poem is very much a work of American Romantic literature, not a representation of Native American oral tradition. Longfellow insisted, "I can give chapter and verse for these legends. Their chief value is that they are Indian legends." Longfellow had originally planned on following Schoolcraft in calling his hero Manabozho, the name in use at the time among the Ojibwe of the south shore of Lake Superior for a figure of their folklore, a trickstertransformer. But in his journal entry for June 28, 1854, he wrote, "Work at 'Manabozho;' or, as I think I shall call it, 'Hiawatha'--that being another name for the same personage." Hiawatha was not "another name for the same personage" (the mistaken identification of the trickster figure was made first by Schoolcraft and compounded by Longfellow), but a probable historical figure associated with
