The east coast is considered dangerous for swimmers and sailors because of the large number of sharks that frequent the shoreline. The Tsaratanana Massif region The island's highest peak, Maromokotro, at 2,876 metres is found in the Tsaratanana Massif, located in the far north of the country. The coastline is deeply indented; two prominent features are the excellent natural harbor at Antsiranana and the large island of Nosy-Be. The mountainous topography to the south limits the potential of a port at Antsiranana by impeding the traffic from other parts of the island. The central highlands The central highlands contain a wide variety of topographies: rounded and eroded hills, massive . granite outcrops and alluvial plains and marshes. The central highlands include the Anjafy High

Kõne "Learning in itself is not as important as personality and character"

Some people think, that it doesn't matter how educated you are. Important is how unique you are, how good impression you left, how beautiful or original you are. I don't want to say that it's a bad thing, but what they gonna do when their personality doesn't help them anymore ? When they need real skills and knowledge ? For example in job interview or when they are talking someone about world affairs ? Ofcourse everyone wants to be prominent and very individual, but like I said, if you are smart, it will open all the doors for you.

Milne joined the British Army in World War I and served as an officer in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment and later, after a debilitating illness, the Royal Corps of Signals. After the war, he wrote a denunciation of war titled Peace with Honour (1934). During World War II, Milne was one of the most prominent critics of English writer P. G. Wodehouse. Milne accused Wodehouse of committing an act of near treason by cooperating with his country's enemy. He married Dorothy "Daphne" de Sélincourt in 1913, and their only son, Christopher Robin Milne, was born in 1920. In 1925, A. A. Milne bought a country home, Cotchford Farm, in Hartfield, East Sussex. Friends have more Influence than Family on Teenagers

the social norm set by others. In their teens, people begin to form strong connections with other individuals their own age this may inherently play a role in how we act. The connection made between friends is usually much stronger than between family members. With teens, there is always a `rebellious' factor in play, which may make them adapt certain behaviors or ideas from our friends, in order to appease the inner rebel inside of us. Teenagers act according to the norm that is prominent in the group they are apart of. For example, the punk movement will possibly penetrate different groups and to feel apart of the group, teens will also dress accordingly. On the other hand, our parents behavior will have an influence on us, especially in our younger years. The way we are brought up and how our parents communicate with us is directly correlated to our development and later life. While it can be argued that friends will have the strongest

Batman

City soon many super villains raised their ugly heads. The first one Batman had to go against was the Joker, who became the archenemy of Wayne. Joker has been presented as both a violent sociopath, who kills people for fun and as a somewhat goofy trickster and a thief. The tale of Joker's origin varies, but the most common version is that he fell into chemical waste, which bleached his skin and turned his hair green. Another prominent figure in Gotham City was Catwoman. She was a highprofile jewel thief, first referred to only as The Cat, because of her cat mask. The woman behind the mask is Selina Kyle and her activities and costume has usually been explained as a response to having suffered a long history of abuse. Catwoman is often pictured

Although little supporting historical evidence exists at this time, it is almost certain that while in Lüneburg, young Bach would have visited the Johanniskirche (Church of St. John) and heard (and possibly played) the church's famous organ (built in 1549 by Jasper Johannsen and nicknamed the "Böhm organ" after its most prominent master, Georg Böhm). Given his innate musical talent, Bach would have had significant contact with prominent organists of the day in Lüneburg, most notably Böhm (the organist at Johanniskirche) as well as organists in nearby Hamburg, such as Johann Adam Reincken. In January 1703, shortly after graduating and failing an audition for an organist's post at Sangerhausen, Bach took up a post as a court musician in the chapel of Duke Johann Ernst in Weimar, a large town in Thuringia

Henry Moore

HENRY MOORE Henry Moore was born on the 30th of July in 1898. He was an English sculptor and artist. He was best known for his abstract bronze sculptures which are located around the world. He was also the most celebrated sculptor of his time, and the second part of his career, in particular, demonstrated that Modernist sculpture was surprisingly adaptable to official needs. In this sense, Moore was the contemporary equivalent of the great Neo Classical sculptors such as Canova and Thorwaldsen. Moore was born in Castleford as the son of a mining engineer. He became well-known through his large-scale abstract cast bronze and carved marble sculptures, and was instrumental in introducing a particular form of modernism to the United Kingdom. His ability in later life to fulfill large-scale commissions made him exceptionally wealthy. Yet he lived frugally and most of the money he earned went towards s...

The Great Guild/Suurgild

The facade was designed in a style characteristic of gothic Tallinn. The 16th century witnessed the addition of a gable tower with wind vane, as well as a light latern above the main portal. In 1551, the excise chamber was built at the end of Börsi passage facing Pikk street. The Great Guild Hall The wind vane and coat of arms In the 19th century, the Guild Hall's windows were remodelled in the neo-gothic style and the interior of the building was renovated. It was decorated with prominent neo-gothic doors. Originally the house consisted of two spacious halls. The grand hall was the largest hall in Tallinn used for secular purposes. The Great Guild Hall became one of the most important concert and exhibition venues in town. In the 18th century, the Great Guild began to rent out its facilities for public events. Throughout the centuries, the most varied array of events has taken place there.

Miks YAR 2004 ei leidnud populaarsust/kasutamist meresõitjate juures? When the YARs were last updated in 2004 at Vancouver there was, for the first time, a lack of consensus between the main commercial stakeholders regarding many of the changes, with shipowning interests also taking the view that the proposed changes were premature, given that the 1994 rules were only a decade old. The 2004 YARs were therefore incorporated in relatively few contracts of carriage. The YAR 2016 largely reflect the YAR 1994, which BIMCO has to date recommended as the basis for general average adjustments, while containing some useful clarifications and additions such as on low value cargoes. Globaalne soojenemine (inglise keeles)

The rise in sea level along coastal regions carries implications for a wide range of habitats and inhabitants. Firstly, rising sea levels will have a serious impact on beaches— a place which humans love to visit recreationally and a prime location for real estate. It is ideal to live on the coast, due to a more moderate climate and pleasant scenery, but beachfront property is at risk from eroding land and rising sea levels. Since the threat posed by rising sea levels has become more prominent, property owners and local government have taken measures to prepare for the worst. Additionally, many coastal states add sand to their beaches to offset shore erosion, and many property owners have elevated their structures in low-lying areas. As a result of the erosion and ruin of properties by large storms on coastal lands, governments have looked into buying land and having residents relocate further inland. Milking machine

• The pulsator was first introduced in the "Thistle" milker, using a steam driven vacuum pump. While the Thistle machine presented problems of sanitation, it proved an efficient milker. • In Hoard's Dairyman, in 1898, a reviewer of the Thistle machine demonstrated at the Hamburg Exposition faulted the machine for its intermittent flow, as observed in the glass tube leading to the milk vessel. That reviewer was Dr. Benno Martiny, one of the most prominent dairy scientists of the time. • The pulsator, resulting in this intermittent flow is what finally led to a really workable milking machine. The USDA finally tested and gave it's approval to a pulsator milking machine in 1898. Late 19th century • During the late 19th century, while many inventors were struggling with the problems of the constant suction milkers, others were working on a great variety of mechanical devices to simulate hand milking. Economy of Estonia.

The Estonian economy profits significantly from the business generated by more than 2 million tourists a year. The important sectors of the Estonian economy are the processing, transport, warehousing and communications, commerce and estate, rental and letting, as well as business services, agriculture, construction and government, education and health care. In order to be able to import all the products and services, something must be exported, that's why export holds such a prominent position for the Estonian economy and its growth. A couple of generations ago agriculture was the main occupation of the Estonians. Nowadays only about 4% of the workforce is engaged in agriculture. The 1990s was a hard time for agriculture competition with cheap imported products became an issue, enterprises had no money for new equipment and vehicles. Although today the situation in agriculture

National Symbols of New Zealand

England. During the war, the name "Kiwi" for New Zealand soldiers came into general use. The Kiwi bird has since become the well-known national symbol for New Zealand. All New Zealanders overseas (and at home) are still called "Kiwis". The Kiwi is still closely associated with the Armed Forces of NZ. The New Zealand dollar is often referred to as the "Kiwi", and the kiwi fruit is known as a "Kiwi" in some countries. Kiwis are prominent in the coat of arms, crests and badges of many New Zealand cities, clubs and organisations. Vanaema meenutused

Vanaema ema läks kolhoosi tööle ja algas jällegi väga raske aeg.Normipäeva eest maksti viis kopikat! Nad pidid tulema kuidagi toime.
