Conditions of the productive animals in farms. The inescapable fact is that the conditions in big farms, especially in factory farms, are unacceptably bad. Recent proof of that was the Põima farm case in Estonia were 260 cows are starving. Animals are wet because of their own excrements, some spots on their body are furless, their bones poke out from their skin and they can hardly stand up. We had almost six years to get used to the fact that the Estonian kroon is eventually going to end. In that time there was a lot of discussion about whether we should stick to the kroon or change our money to the euro. Lots of people were afraid that they lose their money during the period of transition - this belief was quite popular among people who still remember the time when the Russian rubles were changed into kroons and did lose much money. Luckily there haven't been any complaints yet.
Will Chinese become more important than English in the near future? As David Graddol, a visiting professor in Hong Kong, says in "Will Chinese take over from English as the world's most important language?", he must often answer the questions concerning Chinese importance over English. Graddol states that China's economy is growing and it is already second in the world. In fact, it has become the largest exporter and first in energy consumption. In addition, China will presumably be the largest manufacturer soon. However, he questions whether Chinese language grows at the same pace as its economy.
