What is the best age to be?

What is the best age to be? The question we all may ask ourselves time and time again. What is the best age to be? In my opinion there is not a best age and because of that is a question that will always be left unanswered. The life span approach emphasizes developmental change is throughout adulthood as well as childhood. As a 18 year old female I cannot really choose a specific age group that would be best in the life in every aspect, because I have not yet reached certain age periods of my life span development. All ages have great and bad things. When you are a child your freedom is limited and it mostly depends on your parents´ mood at that time. Some examples like where you have to be home at 9.00pm and no TV until you´ve cleaned your room

Martin Luther King Jr. ''I have a dream'' kõne analüüs

The black community being bound my the chains of discrimination prevented them from being able to rise up. Chains and manacles can also be seen as objects that bring back memories among African Americans that once experienced criminal injustice by the police due to institutional discrimination. Perhaps the most frequently used literary device in this speech would be repetition. The phrase ‘’I have a dream’’ is used a number of times throughout the speech and is also the name of the speech. The repetition of this phrase helps to emphasize the importance of Martin Luther King’s vision while highlighting the number of transgressions against the African American community. The phrase becomes almost inspirational and continually reminds people that equality is obtainable, making the phrase the rally cry for the movement. The phrase "let freedom ring" is repeated throughout the speech as well, this phrase comes from the well known

American Literature Character Sketch-The Color Purple-Shug Avery

Character Sketch-Shug Avery The Color Purple by Alice Walker Shug Avery was a very passionate African-American blues singer, and I believe quite a lot throughout the novel. Her evolvement was interesting to observe. First impression of her wasn’t positive because she appeared rather inelegant and also quite selfish. In essence, she seemed to be unlikable as well as superficial. Shug (originally Lilly) didn’t really embrace herself and adopted a nickname – “Shug”. However she developed a sexual relationship with Celie and with that broke the boundaries of traditional gender roles. She was outspoken, exteremely honest and not easy to affect.

Spanish California

As elsewhere in New Spain ultimate political power in California was exercised by Spanish born political, military, and religious personalities. As time went on the Criollo (American born Spaniards) grew more numerous. These Californios, as they were called, were the sons and daughters of retired Spanish soldiers who had received land grants from the government. These land grants (the successor institution to the encomiendia) were operated as large ranches throughout central and southern California. Cattle and horses thrived on these ranches and cattle hides became the defacto for a cash starved economy. The ranch owners and their families became the social aristocracy of the state. As time went on more and more resentment emerged between various social groups throughout New Spain including California. In the second half of the eighteenth century revolutions in the United States (1776), France

Dear ... I am writing to express my concern regarding the school meals served at The School House. That school food is healthy and tasty, could only be used in all schools canteens Estonia stockpiled, here are strictly controlled and processed foods. Start with the fact that Estonia grown food is stored, processed and routed school canteen supply chain for its intended purpose. This approach solves three important problems. The menu could be selective in how many different drinks. Since I myself can not drink milk, and in particular it could be a range of more buttermilk. Students could have a greater choice of food than what they want and what is not. Because some students can not eat everything and they should then suffer from hunger throughout the school day. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Yours faithfully .....

Paul Graham, “Hackers & Painters” A Summary In “Hackers & Painters, Paul Graham, computer science expert and painter, explains examines what motivates computer programmers to do what they do, as well as attempt to answer many of the questions that have arisen with computers. He explains the word “hacker” has more than the one definition most of us are familiar with. The hackers who Paul Graham refers to throughout the book are the good computer programmers who have made all that we have real. Graham's first chapter, "Why Nerds Are Unpopular," tries to explain why smart kids are at the bottom of the food chain in high school and what their priorities are. While writing about nerds, Graham talks about his own progress to become computer scientist and painter. He explains the similarities between painters and computer hackers, including the desire to make existing things better.

Britain in WW I

Militarism: at the start of 20th century, an arms race had started. Nations had more technology and manpower than ever before and started making armies and new weapons. Nationalism: Much of the origin of the war was based on the desire of the Slavic peoples in Bosnia and Herzegovina to no longer be part of Austria-Hungary but instead be part of Serbia. But in a more general way, the nationalism of the various countries throughout Europe contributed not only to the beginning but the extension of the war in Europe. Each country tried to prove their dominance and power. Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand: In June 1914, a Serbian nationalist assassinated him and his wife while they were in Sarajevo, Bosnia which was part of Austria-Hungary. This was in protest to Austria-Hungary having control of this region. Serbia wanted to take over Bosnia and Herzegovina

EUTHANASIA

who is repeatedly asking for euthanasia and who is of sound mind be given assistance in dying so that they could do it in a dignified manner rather than have their lives prolonged by medical technology? Ultimately, it's a question of choice: empowering people to have control over their own bodies. The main opposition comes from religious groups, medical associations whose members see practising euthanasia as an inproper exctension of their role as carers. Throughout centuries the doctors' purpose in life has been to cure suffering, how can they be expected to do otherwise, even if it's done for a good cause. The issue has been misinterpreted by some people. They seem to be of the opinion that practicing euthanasia would turn nursing homes into places of fear and elderly people in residencial home are afraid that they will be a candidate. For whatever motive it may be done, all civilisations, all religions have regarded this as morally wrong.

My favourite outfit

I would say I am usually helpful and kind. If anyone needs my help in anything, then I will always lend a hand. I like doing sports and I like to wear sporty clothes, because they are very comfortable. Also, like to wear feminine clothes. My favourite outfit is a leather jacket with blue jeans, a white blouse and black platforms. The leather jacket has white stripes down the sleeves. It is also quite worn-out by now because I have had it for some time now and I tend to wear it throughout the spring and autumn months. In fact it has gotten quite a few little tears where it has got caught on sharp objects. These clothes came from one of those big department stores and not a specialist leather shop. I am a big believer in wearing clothing that makes you feel great. The ideal item of clothing is the one that makes you both look and feel great. These drugs are often called "illegal drugs" but generally what is illegal is their unlicensed production, distribution, and possession. These drugs are also called "controlled substances". Even for simple possession, legal punishment can be quite severe. Laws vary across countries, and even within them, and have fluctuated widely throughout history. Despite drug legislation large, organized criminal drug cartels operate world-wide. Advocates of decriminalization argue that drug prohibition makes drug dealing a lucrative business, leading to much of the associated criminal activity.
