Speech on Fast developing technology

Good afternoon! My name is Egert and... ...Today I'm here to talk about advantages and disadvantages of fast development of modern technology. I think we all have noticed that almost every day there are new technology achievements at the stores. Whether we like it or not, it improves in every second, in every minute. New Apple iPhones, iPads and other i-devices are everywhere. Even tractors have a built-in computer in them. So, is it a blessing or a curse? I'm sure that most of you think it's a blessing. Do you? We like our comfortable lives, we like it when everything has been done for us already. We want to have the newest mobile phones and best cars to show off and be better than our friends. However, it can make people selfish and egoistic. They want more and more and more. In the past 10 years modern technology has improved so fast that it is clearly visible when we compare technology in the years 2002 ...

Improved Windows for Cold Climates

Improved Windows for Cold Climates In this paper the possibilities of improving the energy performance of windows in cold climates are exam-ined. The background for using windows with improved energy performance is the need to reduce the en-ergy consumption in buildings. Since the heat loss through windows often represents half the total heat loss from houses, much energy can be saved by developing and using better windows with respect to energy performance. The main purpose of having windows in houses is that they provide daylight and view, but windows also provide solar gain that can be utilized as a contribution to the space heating in the building. Therefore the windows also have a positive influence on the energy balance of buildings. To evaluate the possibilities for developing better windows with respect to

Countries in which a large portion of the population battles hunger daily are usually poor and often lack the social safety nets we enjoy, such as soup kitchens, food stamps, and job training programs. When a family that lives in a poor country cannot grow enough food or earn enough money to buy food, there is nowhere to turn for help. Facts and Figures on Hunger, Famine and Poverty In the developing world, more than 1.4 billion people currently live below the international poverty line, earning less than $1.25 per day. Among this group of poor people, many have problems obtaining adequate, nutritious food for themselves and their families. As a result, 820 million people in the developing world are undernourished. They consume less than the minimum amount of calories essential for sound health and growth. Socially, the lack of food erodes relationships

life in their country? Immigration has it's negative and positive sides. Firstly, the positive side is that most immigrants have been working hard in developed countries. They start their own business by running a corner shop or owning a restaurant. Talented people also have a opportunity to use their talent in developed countries the way they can not do in their home country. Secondly, the negative side is that developing countries can not develope if talented and wealthy people leave their homes. These people should realise that they are the ones, who should help their country in developing education, economy and solving problem of over population. Thirdly, we can say that instead of opening our doors to the whole world, we can assist poorer countries by sending them supplies like first aid, condoms, pure water, food and clothes.

average monthly wage is bigger only than in Latvia. Other European Union countries have higher average monthly wages. Small salary is accompanie by aging. That is because families with smaller income do not want to have children, because they can not adequately care for them. That is the reason why the growth of population is so low. In conclusion I would like to say that even though Estonia has put much effort into developing it's IT-sector, its wages still are below the European average. That results in other problems as for example to dropping of the population growth. Estonia is still developing and there is still a long way to go, to catch up to other European countries.

Finding Nemo, the Pixar movie introduced millions of people around the world the clownfish. Among scientists and aquarists, clownfish are also known as anemone fish because they can't survive without a host anemone, whose stinging tentacles protect them and their developing eggs from intruders. It's still a mystery exactly how a clownfish avoids being stung by the anemone. Of the roughly thousand species of anemones, only ten host clownfish. Poverty in World

In many cases, international political interests have led to a diversion of available resources from domestic needs to western markets. This has resulted in a lack of basic access to food, water, health, education and other important social services. This is a major obstacle to equitable development. Poverty has also been described as the number one health problem for many poor nations as they do not have the resources to meet the growing needs. But poverty is not restricted just to developing countries. Industrialized nations are also seeing a sharp increase in poverty. While the current form of globalization is resulting in additional wealth, the disparities are sharp. Less people are turning out to be benefiting while an increasing number are left behind. Even in places such as Europe and USA, poor people still do not seem to get enough attention or resources to help alleviate their problems. Certain types of poverty in various European

Dioxins and furans in the atmosphere

Animal studies show that animals exposed to dioxins and furans experienced changes in their hormone systems, changes in the development of the fetus, decreased ability to reproduce and suppressed immune system. Impact on human health Shortterm exposure of humans to high levels of dioxins may result in skin lesions, such as chloracne and patchy darkening of the skin, and altered liver function. Longterm exposure is linked to impairment of the immune system, the developing nervous system, the endocrine system and reproductive functions. Due to the omnipresence of dioxins, all people have background exposure and a certain level of dioxins in the body, leading to the socalled body burden. Current normal background exposure is not expected to affect human health on average. However, due to the high toxic potential of this class of compounds, efforts need to be undertaken to reduce current background exposure. Sensitive subgroups

GM food is more resistant to diseases, drought, and other forces of nature and it tastes good. Already, there are a lot of farmers, mostly in developing countries who are using genetically enhanced plants. However, there are still problems with productivity, because it is too low. There is also a chance that there are people who don't want to eat GM food. The EU is standing for their rights. The EU demands that enhanced products must be with special labels which must clearly notify that it is a GM product. So people have a chance to choose between natural and GM food.

Kaspar is going to protect him what changes a new classmate to a foeman of Anders. Developing the film uncovers schools violence, relations with parents, pedagogues apathy, punishment and retribution. For me, the film was really galvanic and thought-provoking. In real Estonia it is not that cruel as it is in film, but it may be possible in somewhere American schools. I think the film is too uncharitable and is not educative for everybody. Although tourism has became main source of income to many countries, it was not so couple of decades ago. This young branch of industry started developing in the second half of last century, when people had more money and sources than ever before. The advantages and disadvantages of multiculturalism. Multiculturalism has both the good sides and the bad sides. A lot depends on the country as much it depends of its people. The good side is definitely the environment and society, which enrich and develop into many directions. So do people, too. New languages spread to schools all over the world and people learn and try out new things such as new oriental cuisines and much more. Many different traditiones expand that way. On the other side, people are different and probably, when they move to another country, they expect or hope, that there is better life, but often they are wrong. The obstacle can very easily be even the language. If you don't know or understand the language of the country, it can be very tricky to live on. I think everyone should take part in sports in order to have healthy body and a healthy mind. Secondly, playing computer games is rather good than bad. They are at increased risk of developing cancer as adults. And they also do worse at reading and reasoning skills compared with children in smoke-free homes, even at low levels of smoke exposure. Smoking also has short term consequences like your breath, clothes, hair, skin, and home smell of tobacco. All of these consequences could become a reason of economic decay in many countries, especially in some undeveloped countries. Therefore it is very important to find out who is guilty of the climate changing. Many people are confident that the reason of global warming is man made carbon dioxide. Over the last hundred years our society has been developing very fast: there has been built a huge amount of different factories, has been made so many inventions in all fields of human activity. Unfortunately only recently we have noticed that by making our life more comfortable and more enjoyable we destroy nature and cause appearance of ozone holes which are directly connected with global warming. Tourism can be very profitable. Especially when the country or an area is attractive and good weather is guaranteed. The most popular places to which people come are mountains, sea or lakes. The advantage of tourism is the mutual cooperation of the tourists and people who are working in this branch. These first can spend their time relaxing themselves. These second earn money. 3. There are three points I'd like to make... 3. PRESENTING A NUMBER OF ARGUMENTS First of all, Britain is unique in its transport history. Firstly, what do you do about miscarriages of justice? Well, firstly I'm an agnostic - I don't know whether or not God exists.... Well, firstly we need to take an interest in developing countries instead of just competing with rich countries. To begin with, most women and men want the right to work. I'd start by rationing petrol to cut out unnecessary car journeys. For a start, it would have to be a mixed school and not a boarding establishment. There're two points here. Firstly, the cost to the environment. Think of all the rain forests. Secondly, the advertiser may pay, but the costs are passed on to the consumer.

I generally believe it to be true; the most important things in life, such as friends, family and love can't be bought. However, in today's world we must agree that life without money can be really stressful and hard. If one doesn't have any money, one can't afford to pay rent, buy food, clothes, get medical help if needed or basically do anything. For example, people in developing countries are very poor, they don't have access to pure drinking water or food and they are unable to get proper medical help and that's why in Africa there are always all kinds of diseases spreading. Money is something that can cause a lot of trouble, it makes people greedy and it can even ruin relationships, but it is also something we cannot live without. That is why people need to be rational and understand that money is important and makes our lives easier but we still
