The Social Network review
To begin with, I would like to prove the fact that if Facebook would be a country , then it would be the 3rd largest in the world. When I wake up in the morning I do things in a definite order . Logging in to Facebook is one of those things I do in those mornings when I have some extra time. So do many of us. If we could , we would spend hours on the world’s most popular social network. But at many academic institutions and office networks Facebook has been blocked to guarantee the irrelevancy. We try to deny the importance of the site but without success . It has changed our culture in many ways , making it so modernized that some of us cannot handle it.
I am quite positive , that before the movie, people did not really know the basic story of how Facebook was invented . But by now, we have searched the internet , watched the magnificent movie and bought books titled similarly and can tell many interesting facts about our biggest entertainer. Even if the movie were not based on a real story and would have been made up, it would be a masterpiece in any case . Of course the topic is common which makes the movie more interesting and exciting for us. The director David Fincher has done a great job by not trying to force some characters to the audience . He wants us to draw a conclusion and pick a side, not the film . Which is a clever thought forming many discussions on the movie.
It is the year 2003, Mark Zuckerberg and his girlfriend are breaking up in a bar. Moving on, we see clearly the thoughtless of Mark as he hurts people with just words . From now on we realize that our leading character will not be so likable and his need for acceptance is quite irritating. Every intention to gain respect ends in rejection or hurting someone . Zuckerberg's best friend Eduardo Savarin helps him to start off with the young company and provides them with money . What he does not know, is that the arrogant creator of Napster, Sean Parker , is trying to put him aside of the company. Many dramas, confusing misleads and people used for his own wellbeing leave Zuckerberg alone with some court cases.
With many recommendations, you should divide the truth and the fiction . As far as I have read some additional information from the internet, I must say that there is some overacts in the movie. Zuckerberg is shown as a bastard and Savarin with a broken heart and betrayed by his best friend. In the reality , Savarin did his own mistakes which lead to the consequences and also it is not fair to Zuckerberg, that many people now think that the founder of our favorite website is an arrogant, self-centered fool. But this is the only negative aspect of the film. The amount of real material was just a little bit too poor for me.
In conclusion, this is definitely a movie we will hear about for a long time. It has its advantages for grabbing a vast majority of people with the joy of recognizing and even the critics will not let go the chance to experience the invention of this genius website and the creativity of a so called “ordinary” Harvard student . Facebook has become a part of our everyday life. This is something we could not have imagined even one year ago. I remember when my sister made an account on Facebook in the end of 2006 or in the beginning of 2007. She sent me a friend request, which did not impress me at all and the fact that it seemed quite complicated to even make an account, I cancelled the request and told that it seems like a boring site. She told me:”Believe it or not, but one day Facebook is going to be all over the world and you are going to spend there every single day.” In the summer 2009 I decided to make a profile of my own, as my friends started using it. When my sister saw MY friend request, she had a good laughter and I could hear” I told you so” for many times .

electricity so that I could see. My children had pointed out to me that the filament for the electric bulb was invented by a Blackman. I said great. What happened to him? Where is the product he invented? Is he or his descendants collecting some form of royalty from this invention? What I see on the electric bulb is General Electric, a multi-billion dollar company involved in everything, including producing military products and owing the NBC-TV network. That is what I see on the bulb. If we could stop deluding ourselves. I have no doubt that the descendants of the original company are not my people. I am sitting here and looking at my nephew’s great stereo. It was made in Japan by the Aiwa corporation. In fact, since Africans love music so much you would have anticipated that they would control the production of all products pertaining to music. Yes, we can sing, we can dance. That is just about it

I’d observed this behavior for years, but its significance wasn’t really clear to me until I read Gary Klein’s bookSources of Power: How People MakeDecisions. Klein spent many years studying naturalistic decision making: how people like firefighters, pilots, chessmasters, and nuclear power plant operators make high-stakes decisions in real situations with time pressure, vague goals, limited information, and changing conditions.

Imagine that you could be living in a bigger house, driving a better car, and enjoying a more ex- pensive lifestyle. Imagine that you have the ability to be one of the top people in your field. Imagine that you are one of the most popular, powerful, and persuasive personalities in your social and business world. Imagine that you are calm, confident, and unafraid of anything. Imagine that you could set and achieve any goal you put your mind to. This is how you begin changing your thinking and changing your life. The starting point of eliminating your fears, and releasing your potential, is to reprogram your mental hard drive with new, positive, constructive, and courageous beliefs about yourself and your future.
