The Importance of Pets Pets play an important role in today's society and are capable of influencing people's lives in many ways. However, are they really so useful as we think? From an educational standpoint, when you get a pet you will have to take care of a creature which will depend entirely on you. Your pet's life is in your hands and this alone will make you a more responsible person. However, you will always need to keep an eye on your pet and this will restrict your ability to do other things. From a scientific point of view, most people who have pets enjoy better health than those who do not. Active pet owners enjoy an additional dose of exercise. Also, owning a pet will lower stress rates and it will prevent various types of illnesses. On the other hand, people who are allergic to pets cannot use this opportunity, because it brings more pain than good. From a psychological standpoint,...
Nowadays many students decide to continue to higher education which means going to university after high school, in order to improve their prospects in further life. It is my considered opinion that higher education is necessary for a number of reasons. To begin with, people who lack educational degrees are more likely to be limited to basic jobs in service and manufacturing industries since today's job market is competitive and employers may not be interested in hiring candidates who do not have a degree. While employees with higher education have a better opportunity to get jobs with a lot of benefits and greater salaries. What is more, a lot of university courses include practical parts and work experience. Having a previous job experience in the field they have chosen, before they actually enter to the job market, is a huge advantage. Moreover, the more connections students collect during their internships, the more options they w...
The importance of education Education is one of the most important part in our today's society. Children are our future and educating them is really necessary. In the first place, giving children education is really important, because they are our future leaders, teachers and they have to develop our government for centuries. Moreover, schools, highschools and even universities teach some of the things you will have to encounter in your life after studies and have to step to work-life. In Fact, you will probably have to make presentations, CV-s and know how to communicate correctly with people. Furthermore, education gives you experience you can always relay on. It is shown in your documents that you will have for rest of your life. Different jobs require different level of education. For example, if you have documents that are valuable, you have more chance to get your dream job. ...
Speech about money ! ! Hi, I am … and I am going to talk about the importance of money. In such a costly and competitive society and world, no one of us can live without money. We need money for basic things such as food, clothes and shelter. People in the society who are rich are looked as honourable and respectful people of the society however a poor person is disliked without any good impression. All of us want to be rich by earning more money through good job or business. Everyone
THE IMPORTANCE OF THE RAINFOREST The beauty, majesty, and timelessness of a primary rainforest are indescribable. It is impossible to capture on film, to describe in words, or to explain to those who have never had the awe-inspiring experience of standing in the heart of a primary rainforest. Rainforests have evolved over millions of years to turn into the incredibly complex environments they are today. Rainforests represent a store of living and breathing renewable natural resources that for eons, by virtue of their richness in both animal and plant species, have contributed a wealth of resources for the survival and well-being of humankind. These resources have included basic food supplies, clothing, shelter, fuel, spices, industrial raw materials, and medicine for all those who have lived in the majesty of the forest. However, the inner dynamics of a tropical rainforest is an intricate and fragile system. Everything is so i...
enough to defeat British nature from toe to top. Even now some parts of England have inhabitants whose distant relatives and great-great-great...parents origin from the first ones to ever settle down on the island. To conclude, it could be said that the most interesting part of the history is watching the development of a nation and its life with the native nature. Both change through time, yet neither disappear nor surrender completely to another. The importance of English History lies in everything and everyone connected with it. England really is an island to learn something interesting about.
The Importance of Being Earnest The story is based on a book called "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde. The play is directed by Peter Joucla and produced by Grantly Marshall. It is played by the American Drama Group Europe. This is a theatre group that travels around the world, so people can see many different plays and performances in English. The play tells the story of two men. One of them, Jack, lives in the country but loves to go to London once in a while. Jack's friend Algernon lives in London but, vice versa, likes to get away from the urbanism

Even a modest detached house, surrounded by garden, gives the rerequired suggestion of rural life. Most people would be happy to live in a cottage, and if this is a thatched cottage so much the better. Most people try to avoid living in blocks of flats. Flats, they feel, provide the least amount of privacy.
Importance of Packaging in Logistics Packaging is important for effective damage protection, not only in the warehouses but also during transportation. Packaging is especially important to the logistics manager. The size, shape and type of packaging will influence handling and will affect warehouse operations. One of the most important tasks of the logistics manager is to co-ordinate the size of packaging with warehousing and with transportation. The reason why it is so important is that many companies design packages that are too wide or too high for efficient use. Furthermore, packaging must prevent goods from arriving in a damaged condition, because damaged good are likely to lower future sales. Adequate protection also means protecting products from contamination resulting from contact with other goods, water damage, temperature changes, pilferage, and shocks in handling and transport. A very important packag...

The importance of the internet in our lives Nowadays there has been huge development in electronics and people are using computers more than ever before. Programmers has created a virtual environment where people can chat with each other, read newspaper and do almost everything. To start with, I do not know anyone who does not have computer or access to internet. Internet has became very popular because for low price you can send letters, chat with your friends live in msn and even have video conversations with them. Furthermore, the internet is like a world biggest library. There is a lot of information about everything. For example, if you want to know the name of Estonian president you will find it in the internet,in few minutes. In the other hand, sitting too many hours in computer is not good for your eyes. Old Tallinn Old Town, a medieval walled city filled with old buildings and fortifications. The sheltered bay and the easily defended Toompea Hill made it a natural place to settle. Sometime about 1050 A.D. a fortress was built atop the hill, the first of many. In 1219 the Danes showed up as part of the Northern Crusade to subjugate the Baltics and convert the local pagans to Christianity whether they wanted to or not. The Danes improved the fortifications and expanded the town, which became part of the Hanseatic League, a trading organization of a hundred northern cities. The Danes sold Tallinn to the Livonan Order, a branch of the Teutonic Knights, in 1346. The Swedes came next in 1561. Tallinn weathered plague and the Great Northern War and became part of Russia in 1710. In 1918, Estonia declared independence from Russia and fought a bitter war against Bolshevik Russia. Independence didn’t last long, ...
Should children be encouraged to do sports? The majority of parents do not know how to make their children understand the importance of exercising, especially because of the amout of technology no child will rather go out and play football than sitting at home and watching TV or playing video games. Should we encourage children to do sports? Firstly, doing sports is important for our health and if children do not do sports it may cause health conditions when they get older for example overweight. Choosing an exercise should be appropriated to the child's age and development. A good thing to do is to take the child for
To: Ms Johanson From: Mari Mets Subject: The factors Estonian students consider important when choosing a job Introduction The aim of this report is to analyse the results of two surveys into the information about which factors Estonian students consider important when choosing a job. The two surveys were carried out in 2005 and 2013. At the end of the report there are some possible reasons for the changes. Grow of importance To start with, the importance had grown 14% for the pay, 15% for the work atmosphere and 20% for work/life balance. The pay has stayed the same in the ranking of importance but the ranking of work/life balance has dropped from fourth to second place. Fall of importance In contrast, the importance of job security has fallen by 22% and job content by 16%. They used to be equally ranked the second, but now they have become the least important factors when choosing a job. Conclusion
nothing. The Estonian language has changed very much as the years have gone by. The expressions that were used years ago are replaced with English phrases, which are especially popular among young people. That's because almost all films, song lyrics and popular TV shows are in English. They also use slang too much. It's quite possible, that soon the Estonian language dies out and replaces with English. The second reason, why Estonian is in big danger, is because the little importance of the language. Almost everyone can speak at least one foreign language and nowadays the travelling possibilities are also very good. So if the Estonian language has no importance, it's possible, that if several nations will mix and there will be no Estonian anymore. Estonian language is nearing extinction in the 21th century. People should think more about the importance of the language and protect it from foreign influences.
accommodation available on board the vessels that will disembark our planet. Just then to the reader this article may have taken a turn toward some sort of science fiction that they may think is far beyond anything they will ever have to care about. But the truth is we are almost at the point of no return. It seems in this we are distracting ourselves from the seeming inevitability of our fate by becoming so engrossed in the pursuit of sporting "glory" so as to forget the importance of the pursuit of scientific research and its goals. The many important branches of research involved with the future technologies of humanity dwarf the importance of sporting trophies and achievements in such a way that sports becomes relative to the size of a gnat to an elephant. How long will we continue to delude ourselves about the importance of sports and its participants in relation to the value and vital nature of research technologies? The question of "what is a sport
Books have always played a great role in life and it is important to read them but nowadays people read less than they used to do. When I think about our relationship with books a question comes to my mind: `'Will there be books in the future?'' I think people read more books in the past because then there were no television and radio to entertain people. In the present people rather watch moving images from television than pick up a dusty old book. My opinion on importance of books is that there are books with empty storyline as well as there are books that are considered as true gems which contain knowledge and a great story and the importance of these books is immeasurable. Considering the fact that people in the future will be even lazier than they are now shows that the books will stay on the bookshelves or will be burned but I think that they will be converted into digital ones and will remain forever.
Does water consumption matter? 2 MINUTIT. I'm going to talk about water consumption and about the importance of the water. I've chosen this topic because water is our most important resource and I'm also very worried about how little there is left of it. At the moment a bottle of water costs less than an euro, but within the next 10 years the very same bottle may cost 5 to 10 euros, if we don't conserve and protect our fresh water supply. The thing is, we have enough sea water, but it's the freshwater we lack of. Water covers over

Tartu 2009 Oscar Fingal O'Flahertie Wills Wilde was an Irish playwright, poet and author of numerous short stories and one novel. Known for his biting wit, he became one of the most successful playwrights of the late Victorian era in London, and one of the greatest celebrities of his day. Several of his plays continue to be widely performed, especially The Importance of Being Earnest. As the result of a widely covered series of trials, Wilde suffered a dramatic downfall and was imprisoned for two years hard labour after being convicted of "gross indecency" with other men. After Wilde was released from prison he set sail for Dieppe by the night ferry. He never returned to Ireland or Britain. In 1883, Irish-born Oscar Wilde returned to London bursting with exuberance from a year long lecture tour of the United States and Canada

malls, when some ''shopping rally'' is announced to buy. By doing that, people start neglecting the valuable immaterial substance. From the point of view of the individual, money is vital for survival. Western society is structured in such a way that, without money, people are deprived of the possibilities to get proper nutrition, education possibilities and health care. On the other hand, many people claim that one of the factors in life, which is undoubtedly of greater importance than money health. It is said, health is 'a blessing that money cannot buy'. What is more, money is of little consolation to those who are suffering from health problems. Despite the fact that money can pay for the best medical care available, this is no guarantee for a longer life In addition, most people would agree that personal happiness easily outweighs money in importance. Even if an individual is extremely rich, this does not necessarily lead to happiness

He had been in Hong Kong before that, actually, making a TV-programme about global English for BBC, which showed that Putonghua, the native language, had become more important. Nevertheless, that programme was never completed, because no one thought it was interesting enough. Then Graddol writes about importance of language and how it should be assessed. He discusses whether it should be the number of speakers, their social status or even wealth and whether the number of speakers of Putonghua should include only native speakers, which is 1.3 billion people, or should they take other dialects into consideration too. Furthermore, Graddol brings an example from Guangzhou and their local language Cantonese which is endangered by Putonghua. Many people protest about using too much Putonghua, but the

explanations for social order. In this essay, the explanations regarding a shared meaning, norms and values and power and authority are explained. Furthermore, the extents to which these explanations can be convincing are assessed. Meaning Hechter and Horne argue, that "shared concepts and beliefs are a perquisite for successful communication" (Hechter and Horne, 2003:44), thus bringing together the ideas of many sociologists in explaining the importance of meaning when explaining social order. Meaning, which can be defined as a sum of common concepts and beliefs that enable cooperation, has been defined yet so differently by various sociologists. Emile Durkheim (Durkheim, 1912) tries to explain meaning by describing the importance of religion in social interactions, and by portraying the similarities between social interaction and religion. Society never stops creating sacred things

The film follows the basic storyline closely although the approach to the story and the way certain characters are portrayed differs from the novel. Analysis The book describes her as being unremarkable in the way she looks. The film preserves this premise and therefore maintains the importance placed on her character. The film's interpretation of the harsh manner Mr. Brocklehurst and the rigid strictness of the school are the same as the novel. There film deviates in two ways, however. Firstly, the way in which Jane's relationship with the school authorities develops is less evident in the film. Also, the death of Jane's friend Helen from typhus results in improved conditions, because it becomes clear that her illness had been caused by poor diet and cruel treatment. Consider

Throughout your career you will have many opportunities to show your ,,bottle". By making the right choices ones that show your courage and integrity you will grow and mature as a manager and as a person. Building on the ,,bottle" factor, it is worth noting the importance in general of having a positive attitude about your abilities. The skill and commitment may be there in abundance, but a negative or cautious approach can undermine your potential every time. Though very few would actually welcome adversity, advice is to see it for what it is and make the most of it: learn how to face it, learn how to cope with it, keep your feet on the ground, and when it has passed look back to see what you could have learned from it.

work. Knowledge is the combination of facts, information, and/or skills that when put together create a whole picture enabling us to fully understand a subject or situation. We, as ordinary people, can acquire knowledge either from our first hand experiences (personal knowledge) or from education and research (shared knowledge). Difficulty depends on how much effort or skill must be implemented for the information to be acquired, and the value of something lies in it's importance, usefulness or worth. We all value different things in our life, we are more likely to value things that benefit us and, thus, not really value the things that are of no benefit to us. If it’s only knowledge produced with difficulty that we truly value then how do we value knowledge that is easily produced? How could knowledge that is produced with difficulty be of little value to us? These knowledge questions will be addressed using examples from the different areas of

breathe there. If the authorities put bins everywhere in the streets, our cities would be cleaner. The second thing is, that people still drop litter on the ground, even if there is a bin somewhere nearby. If we didn't build so much houses all around cities, we could save money from that and better build animal parks, green areas and playgrounds for children. If there were more green areas, people would have more oxygen. All in all, we must understand the importance of oxygen and where must litter go, then we could have better atmosphere and people wouldn't be worried about their health.
For example, one possibility would be to restrict the length of nets. This should be a duty of marine mammal organisations. Also should be limited the allowed amount of fish to be caught. This should be the duty of The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food. Naturally it is not possible to forbid fishing but some restrictions can surely be done. It is very important to maintain the balance in our seas. Every creature has its importance and we should protect them. Yours faithfully, Triin Engmann

What are the Advantages and Disadvantages of Tourism? In today's world tourism is vital part of economy. Although tourism has became main source of income to many countries, it was not so couple of decades ago. This young branch of industry started developing in the second half of last century, when people had more money and sources than ever before. Importance of tourism to countries such as Egypt, Greece and Spain can not be questioned, as employment, service industry and opportunity to sell goods, is related to it. Tourism has also helped to build up certain regions, which otherwise would still be struggling in poverty. Futhermore, to make country desirable destination, governments have to keep crime rate under control, which makes life safer for locals as well. On the negative side, relentless waves of tourists increase our carbon footprint. Transportation increases pollution and creates gridlocks. Often big hote...
Students who are willing to put extra hours in to study and prepare for classes and presentations tend to improve their skills and academic abilities. Students, who take less challenging classes or are satisfied with less work, often will have the result of average academic success.
