Love and forgiveness

Love and forgiveness Is it hard to forgive someone, that you love? Most of the people think that asking for forgiveness makes you look like a loser. In asking for forgiveness you also have to admit you are wrong and people do not like to do that. Nobody wants to be humiliated. In the first place, when someone has insulted you, and the person admits that he has been wrong, then i see no reason why not to forgive him. I think that it is important that the person himself understands his fault. Everyone needs a second chance. Furthermore, you want to forgive someone, who is really related to you. However, you cannot forgive everything. For example, when your girlfriend has cheated on you and when she even do not admit her fault. That is true that everybody needs a second chance, but not

Identiteedivargus

18.10.2016 The purpose of this paper is to raise awareness about the threats associated with Identity theft. I will talk about the different types of identity theft, the most common way they take place and what consequences they might have. I will also talk about some of the examples and point out actions everyone can take to minimize the chance of becoming a victim of an identity theft. What is Identity theft Identity theft is defined as the deliberate use of someone else's identity, usually as a method to gain a financial advantage or obtain credit and other benefits in the other person's name, and perhaps to the other person's disadvantage or loss. The person whose identity has been assumed may suffer adverse consequences if they are held responsible for the perpetrator's actions. Identity theft occurs when someone uses another's personally identifying information, like their

We all have felt good about donating something.

26 September 2013 Prompt #5 We all have felt good about donating something. It gives us inner peace, satisfaction, and an overall benevolent feeling. Donating money, clothes or "yourself" by volunteering does not require us to do the impossible we do that which is quite possible. A few weeks ago, I went through my friend's wallet and found an organ donor card. It really made me think. Would I be willing to donate an organ to help someone or to receive an organ from someone I do not know if I needed it? This whole idea makes me stop and think. Health issues are very common nowadays and luckily, medical science has advanced so much that nearly everything is curable. In addition to good medical science, organ transplants have improved too. You can replace almost everything from your body. But when all of these great advances come down to a personal decision, it gets difficult. I respect donors

What i value most in a friend

10E What I value most in a friend. My friends play very big role in my life.Me and my friends get along very well.We almost never fight. It's very important, that we can trust each other. I got my first friend in playschool. Her name is Anna. We started to get along very well and we did everything together. I think people make friends because they need someone to talk to and a friend who can play with. I have a lot in common with my friend Merit. We do a lot of thing together.Like..go shopping and study together. Also we like to watch comedy movies. And in summer we always go beach together to sunbathe and swim. She is very trusty, friendly and funny. Both of us enjoy dancing. We use to visit clubs very often and party there. We also have differences, like everybody does. How to prevent petty crime?

How to prevent petty crime? Nowadays danger is everywhere. Everything can happen with you or near you, when you are not careful enough. What do you need to do to feel safer? There are plenty of things that you can do to avoid pretty crime. If you drive somewhere a car, then wherever you park do not forget to lock your doors and pay attention that your windows are also closed. If you forget to do it, someone may steal your car. When you walk in the street or you take a bus then always check that your pockets are closed and your bag is closed. You never know when someone wants to steal your mobile phone or your wallet. If you want to feel safer then always check your items in your pockets or keep them empty. If you want you may carry tear gas because when someone attacks you, then you can protect yourself. If you have a change, try to avoid empty streets and do not dress too intriguingly, because

"FRIENDSHIP"

Friendship Everyone has many acquaintances, but not all of them are friends. What is that something that makes people call someone a friend? People value different characteristics of others, but it is certain, that a true friend has to be reliable, honest and understanding. Aristotle has said that without friends no one would choose to live, though he had all other goods. I agree with him. I think everyone needs a friend. What is the benefit of money and all other goods if you have no one to share it with? A friend can be your family member, your neighbour, classmate or even your dog

Lühike monoloog "Luck"

Some people seem born lucky. Everything they touch turns to gold. Others are dogged by misfortune. But what is luck- i would define it as the accidental way things happed without being planned. Some people say that they are lucky and others say that they are unlucky. In my opinion is not just people who might be lucky or unlucky- it can be single acts. When someone does not win a card game or misses a shot in basketball then they often think that they are unlucky. People who say that they have bad luck are negative. For example they woun´t even play bingo or take part in raffle. They think that because they are unlucky they can not be lucky. I am sure that if they wait something good will happen their lives. I like to wish people good luck, because i think it is a nice thing to say if someone has an interview or an exam

Prepositions and Phrasal Verbs

Many verbs in English are followed by an adverb or a preposition (also called a particle), and these two-part verbs, also called phrasal verbs, are different from verbs with helpers. The particle that follows the verb changes the meaning of the phrasal verb in idiomatic ways: · drop off - decline gradually The hill dropped off near the river · drop off(2) - fall asleep While doing his homework, he dropped off. · drop off(3) - stop and give something to someone Would you drop this off at the post office? · drop out - cease to participate After two laps, the runner dropped out. Some particles can be separated from the verb so that a noun and pronoun can be inserted, and some particles can't be separated from the verb. In addition, some phrases are intransitive, meaning they cannot take a direct object. · Separable add up (meaning: to add) Correct: She added up the total on her calculator.

Is love true or false? Or is it just a chemical imbalance that people have which sends them into a unrealistic state of mind. We will never know the truth of love but that still doesnâTMt make a feeling rational just a mystery. So the next time you tell someone that you love them think of Hermia and Lysander and really mean everything that you say because you never know, you could wake and realize it was all a dream.

Manners in Estonia

They tend to speak softly and do not like to draw attention to themselves. Being rational, calm and not going to emotional extremes are all qualities that respected. At first Estonians can come across as aloof. Once a relationship warms up this becomes less so. Meeting and Greeting Greetings can come across as rather formal and rather reserved. Men should initiate greetings with women and the younger person always greets the older person. When meeting someone make sure you are stood up, offer direct eye contact and give a nice firm handshake. The most common greeting is "tere" ("hello"). Titles are very important. "Härra" is for Mr, "Prova" is Mrs and "Preili" is Miss. All should be followed with the surname. Only use first names once you have been invited to do so. Gift Giving Etiquette Gifts are usually exchanged for birthdays and at Christmas. Gifts need not be expensive as it is more about the thought than monetary worth.

Capital punishment should to be abolished

Capital punishment is a form of punishment where a person's life is taken. This is one of the most controversial topics today. People are either favour or against it. Firstly capital punishment saves money compared to the alternative of life in prison because criminals deserve to die, not stay in jail and live comfortable life. Also when a killer stays in prison he takes up space in already over crowed prisons. Secondly it might prevent the fact that people who have killed someone before, would probably to it again. Because killer`s point of view does not change. Finally it would reassure the people close to the victim it would not happen again. Also it gives them the feeling that the death has been avenged. A family will feel less pain if the killer dies. In my opinion capital punishment should not be abolished, because if someone has committed a major crime such as rape, torture or murder deserves basically the same. I think we should

Friendship

Friendship Friends are a very important part of most people's lives. Research shows that having quality relationships increases your likelihood of being happy - so it's good for your happiness to be a great friend and to have a group of close friends surrounding you too. A good friend might be someone who's there to provide support when times are tough, or someone you can rely on to celebrate a special moment with you. Friends might come and go in our life, they might make us laugh and cry, but most importantly they love us for who we are. It doesn't matter what a person looks like or what kind of clothes they wear, but it's what's on the inside that counts. It's the actions they take, no matter how big or small, to show us how much of a good friend they are, and being

The role of music in the modern society

Classic, hip-hop or different types of rock are extremely popular with youngsters. So, in the world of guitar chords and dancing sounds of violins everyone can find something he really loves. Secondly, there are not any limitations in ages. Teenagers and adults can listen to the same music and not be worry that it is shamefully. No one will laugh if you like classical or rock music. What's more, music helps us to live. When someone feels lonely or depressed he just turns his player on and listens to his favorite songs. And all his sadness goes away. So, music for us is also one of the ways to relax. In conclusion, I want to say that music is a great support in role of the modern society. And if someone tells me that he doesn't like listening to music, I just won't believe because it seems me unreal.

What is addiction

What is addiction? Addiction is being adicted to something and it can be anything. Mostly, when people hear word addiction, they think about drugs, sigarets and alcohol but it can be a person, some food or work. People fall in addiction in my opinion because they get used to something or someone and then they dont want to let go anymore. After a while they start to think that they cant live without it, he or she. Firstly i would like to talk about drug addiction. Mostly people start doing drugs when their lives get realy hard and they think theres nothing left anymore to live for or thanks to bad compani. Firstly its couple of times and then they cant be happy without them and finaly its hard to be normal without doing drugs. And thats fysical addiction.

Seven days

I was still sleepy when I answered with a furious tone: ,,What is it? Do you even know what freaking time is it? It's 3 in the morning. Why aren't you sleeping?" Suddenly I heard a voice that told me: ,,Seven days!" and after that just beep beep beep. At first I thought it's just some stupid joke but I got frightened and I couldn't even get any sleep. I creeped downstairs looking after my shoulder from time to time because I had this feeling someone was watching me and when I looked after the window I saw someone standing in the dark alley. That seriously creeped me out! I suddenly remembered that creepy movie called ,,The Ring". In the film the person who watched the film got murdered in seven days and they receieved exactly the same phone call as I did. The whole week, I got barely any sleep. I had been like that for already six days straight. When day seven arrived, I was really frightened about what's going to happen

You are what you read

thougth to be UFOs, you have no choice but to argree with the statements. So yes, i think that, you are what you read, but you read what you choose to, whitch means that you are what you choose to be. On the other hand I think that the topic should be You read what you are, beacause you choose what you want to read. Let's take the same UFO example. If you are a realist, then you'd choose a book that says that they aren't real, but if you're someone who likes fiction then you'll probably choose a book that says they are real. And so it seems that you decide what you want to believe and be, based on what kind of a person are you. I believe, that I am someone, who likes to read both sides of a story and then decide whitch one seems more plausible. All in all I have to say, that all about reading depends on what kind of a person you are. So noone can tell you what you have to read or believe.

To like and dislike the same things, that is indeed true friendship

But maybe one of the most important things is to have something in common. When I think about my best friends then I can really see how much we have in common. We very often think the same about life, things and people. We share very many viewpoints and agree on so many things. There is always something to talk about and fun never ends. It's sometimes great to have somebody who shares your ideas. Then you know that you are not alone and you can complain to someone who really understands. On the other hand, I can also see, when looking at my friendships, that having the same ideas and thoughts can sometimes be disturbing and boring. I like to be different. I like to have my own thoughts and understandings. It can be very boring do have someone who constantly agrees on everything I say or do. It's good to have disputes and different viewpoints. That is what makes life intresting. I have many friends who are very different from me but who I still

George Orwell "Animal Farm" essay - "Human nature exposed in the novel"

Human nature exposed in G.Orwell's ,,Animal Farm" Humans are the most deceitful animals in the World. Even if we do not want to confess it to ourselves, we have to accept the fact that humans constantly change their ways of thinking and acting to make the World a better place to live in for themselves. Our lives are fulfilled with lies we enter to our or someone else's mind. A lot of it is connected to people's constant need of power and control. "Animal Farm" is a book that reverberates that kind of human nature through politics, dictatorship and power, but in nowadays' World this kind of behaviour occurs also in our everyday life, not only politics. First of all humans are in a constant need of power. The essence of the power does not even matter as long as they have some kind of control. It could be control over some

Capital punishments should not be abolished

nicer than someone's ordinary home and who pays for their free living? We do. I also think that some of the criminal are kind of mentally ill and they will never feel guilty of what they did and some are even proud of it if they have murdered or tortured somebody's daughter or son and and all they get for punishment is carefree life? No. It's my opinion that they should be treated same as way as they treated someone else and in many cases it means capital punishment. Also it's said that if we abolish capital punishment, we will save lives. Most of the criminals, who are in prison for long time, have murdered someone or even many of people, if the are serial killers. They have tooken innocent lives and we should just let them live and enjoy life even though they have caused a lot of pain in murdered people relatives' soul? If some of the criminals get out from the jail, they will never be the same
