Monologue

Some people say that children should be given a chance to solve their problems on their own. Some people say that parents should make all their children’s decisions until the children are 18. By the law of our country, parents have the right to make important decisions about their children's lives. Parental obligations end when a child reaches the age of majority, which is 18 years old. Until that, parents are free to make all decisions relating to the welfare of their child as they see fit.

If I Were A Millionaire

If I Were A Millionaire... Everyone of us has their own dreams and it is hard to believe that out there is someone who has not dreamed about money. I am talking about a huge amount of money. If I were a millionaire, I could own all those things I have not had in my life before. First, if I were the lucky one, who would have a chance to be a millionaire, there would be millions of ways how to spend it. As to the point that my family has been the most precious fortune for me, I would give at least one third of that to my loved ones. I think that this would be a clever action. Second, if I would have the chance then I would purchase all these things I have wanted in my entire life. I would definitely buy an enormous but cozy house where I could finally make my dream come true - have as many pets as I want

The purpouse of my report is to give an overview of Armenian Genocid, its causes and consequences. In my report I also provide a brief overview of the Armenian Massacre, the Young Turks, the Young Turk Revolution and ordeals that Armenians had to go through. 1. Attraction of blogs

Attraction of blogs People have always loved to share their thoughts. It is very common that people write those thoughts down, usually into their secret diaries. Nowadays individuals write public blogs, which using has grown quite popular. In my opinion, blogs have become more fashionable than keeping private diaries, because they are public. Everyone has access and a chance to read your own personal views. We live in a modern world, where information is crucial and selling, therefore keeping a blog on the Internet is a big attraction for readers. Furthermore, there are all kinds of journals on the web, for example food sites, where people can find many recipes for different meals. Also, fashion blogs, which can give inspiration if wondering what to wear for some kind of an occasion. Not only are the blogs entertaining, they can also be very helpful and useful. The writers of the blogs get attraction from the a...

And, secondly, what are the requierments and procedures to enter the school? I hope this information is useful to you and I would really love to have this chance. I am looking forward to your answer. GMO kokkuvõte

So scientists had to do something. They started to develop GM food. Farmers thought, that GM food is not good enough but when they tested it, they were satisfied. GM food is more resistant to diseases, drought, and other forces of nature and it tastes good. Already, there are a lot of farmers, mostly in developing countries who are using genetically enhanced plants. However, there are still problems with productivity, because it is too low. There is also a chance that there are people who don't want to eat GM food. The EU is standing for their rights. The EU demands that enhanced products must be with special labels which must clearly notify that it is a GM product. So people have a chance to choose between natural and GM food.

English is the only foreign language worth learning

English is the only foreign language worth learning Every people should speak some foreign language. Knowing different languages is important, we can communicate with other people around the world. But is English the only foreign language worth learning? English is one of the most important languages in the world. It helps us to communicate with other people. If you know English then you have a better chance to get the work you want. You have a better chance to work and make a career. When you go to traveling, then English is the best language to speak. You can speak English almost everywhere you go. People should learn some other languages too. In some countries people don’t speak English, they have their own mother language, so they don’t speak other languages inluded English. For example if you live in Estonia you should know well Russian. I think that in Estonia, Russian is more important than English.

What Really Matters, Is Today, Not Tomorrow

People say that you have to make plans for tomorrow. You have to think about the future. But I say that there is no time like the present. We always think we have so much time. We postpone our duties, work and responsibilities. But it is such a shame to waste time, because we never now what might happen tomorrow. Secondly, it would be much easier to do these things today not tomorrow. Everybody should live one day at a time. When life gives us a chance to explore something new and exciting and meet interesting people, we should definitely use the oportunity. I think you have to be quite spontaneous to enjoy life. It is important to appreciate the people around us. You have to let them know how much you care about them and how much you need them in you life. And you have to do it today, because tomorrow we might not have the chance to do it. In conclusion, I want to quote an American essayist and philosopher Henry David Thoreau.

Love and forgiveness

Most of the people think that asking for forgiveness makes you look like a loser. In asking for forgiveness you also have to admit you are wrong and people do not like to do that. Nobody wants to be humiliated. In the first place, when someone has insulted you, and the person admits that he has been wrong, then i see no reason why not to forgive him. I think that it is important that the person himself understands his fault. Everyone needs a second chance. Furthermore, you want to forgive someone, who is really related to you. However, you cannot forgive everything. For example, when your girlfriend has cheated on you and when she even do not admit her fault. That is true that everybody needs a second chance, but not when someone uses you malevolently. I think this is unacceptable. On the whole, i think that it is hard to forgive someone, when the person do not admit his fault, even when the person is close to you

Therefore I would like to attend this university because of the English-speaking environment. I feel that this is an amazing opportunity which will surely turn out to be an enriching experience for me. I have great expectations from studying abroad because of the element of internationalism. I think that a larger view on the world could give the chance to be more productive in my whole life. Living abroad could give the chance to prepare better for my future career. About the fact that I would have to stay far from home, I do not feel that it would be much of a problem because I have the ability to adapt to various situations. I also have experience with living abroad- I was an exchange student in the Netherlands for a year and I have also worked and lived in the USA for three months.

Military service – pros and cons

Military service is very important part of a country. Its success mainly depends on country`s citizens. On the one hand, military service has some big advantages. One of the most important is, that military makes a country stronger and secures the independents. In addition, there are also positive sides for people. People can get some useful skills, invaluable experience and a great physical condition with everyday training. There is also a big chance to get some good friends from military after being together almost a year. Yet, the year off could give time for thinking for those, who don`t know what to do with their lives. On the other hand, military service has its disadvantages. Not everyone is suitable for military and some men couldn`t manage that pressure. Yet, in democratic countries people should have a chance to choose their destiny by themselves and army restrics our freedom. Besides, the

If I Were a Minister of Education

In the last five years we have witnessed several changes in the education system. Although some people find it useful and needed, others find it tragic. What has changed and what would I do to make school a better place? Firstly, there are several things that has been changed in the last few years, such as financing vocational schools. Students of vocational schools get paid for good grades and in some schools even for attending school. Even dorms are paid for students. That is true, we have a chance of getting a little scholarship in high schools, if we graduate with a medal, but it is times and times harder to achieve. In fact government has started to close high schools because they think that there are too many of them. It looks like our country wants only graduates with vocational education, which I find really sad. If I were a minister of education I would do everything to help students to graduate gymnasium, not to popularise vocational schools

Sri Ishopanisad mantra 1 summary notes MRdd

Who actually is the owner? Our ownership because it is transitory, is considered to be illusory, we have it only for short amount of time and despite of our best efforts it can be arbitrary taken away. We are secondary owners. We are tenants. Also in our body body can be take away at any moment. One may say, body comes from nature, but where nature comes from? What is it's source? Ultimately everything has to have source. Source is God. Atheists say that everything comes by chance. Things don't come by chance. This idea is based on misuse of the word "chance". Word "chance" is applicable when there is pattern of events which are likely and there is certain probability of each of them. When there is no pattern of possibilities given & there is not probability of each of those possibilities occuring, then to say "chance" is just to cover up the ignorance. To use word "chance in causal-principal is misleading. Fundamental question is: where things come?

English essay The Future of Education

Online courses soon will prevail over the traditional high school and college education. Online Universities will create classes sponsored by companies. These companies will direct the universities on the materials of the course. The company will then offer those who pass the course a job. This will create a worker who will not be able to do his job without a computer. Teachers will take a backseat in these courses. There is also a chance that Teachers will have an easier job in the future, they will instruct the students only if needed. Also on the horizon are smart objects. These objects are geared more to small children then those that are in high school or college. Objects with animations such as building blocks that can talk and light up to indicate to a child how to stack them correctly. But that can also have an opposite effect, like the children will become addicted to the computers and such. That

A person who has committed a crime loses his/her right to be

Second, another area, where we can find inequality, is at work. When looking for a job, first of all, people without criminal past are chosen first. Employers tend to choose their employees regarding to the past, because they are careful about a person they choose to work with. You should be able to trust a person, to rely on him/her and who can value honesty and work ethics. Quite frequently people who committed a crime aren't even given a chance to prove, can they can also be valuable employees. In conclusion, it is hard to be treated as equal, if you have committed a crime. It is a formed standard, which doesn't seem to change much during the years. A person just has to contribute hard at work and with people to earn his/her position in the society. It is not pleasant, but still there is always a chance for everyone. Inna Lõhmus, TABB 051828

Why was life better-worse in Estonia 50 years ago?

The way of life was very complicated, people had limited rights and all the things we nowadays have done by machines were all handmade. These are the major reasons, which made me think that life was worse 50 years ago than now. Why was it so? Firstly, nowadays we can speak about many comforts, which 50 years ago was not so. In 1950s' there were any conveniences at all everything had to be made by yourself and people were living a poor life. People did not have the chance to own expensive technics(as a matter of fact some of them were not invented yet or it just had not been that widespread), wear the clothes they would have liked and live a life like they had always wished. Even if they tried hard to pursue to the highs, the chance of getting somewhere was close to zero. Nowadays, people can afford themselves a good and livable life, having the work done by machines, wear the clothes they want to and feel free to become more and more successful every day.

Television

Television is a daily presence in the lives of most young children . TV is playing a very big role in their life. Television has its good side. It can be entertaining and educational, and can open up new worlds for kids, giving them a chance to travel the globe, learn about different cultures. However spending time watching TV can take time away from healthy activities like active play outside with friends, eating dinner together as a family, or reading. TV time also takes away from participating in sports, music or art.

Charles dickens

English novelist. He wrote novels that exposed terrible lives of the poor during the nineteenth century in England. His novels draw attention to the dreadful conditions in which so many of London's poor lived at that time. Those novels reflect Dickens' own childhood. Oliver Twist tells the story of an orphan, who after spending his early life in a workhouse is sent to work for a hard taskmaster. Oliver runs away to London, where he joins a gang and become a pickpocket. By chance a gentelman takes pity on Oliver and takes him into his house. Although Oliver is forced to return for a time to gang , he eventually is reunited with his family and lives happily ever after.

Retell Global Warming

The Earth's climate has been changing constantly over its history. Once, all climate change occurred naturally, but recently, people have also started altering the climate. We are sending more and more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. The average global temperature has increased by about 0.5 °C over the past century. Scientist expect it to increase up to an additional 3 °C over the next on 100 years. People who are living in cold places may have a chance to grow new crops if the climate gets warmer. At the same time in some parts of the world, people won't be able to grow the food they need. Global warming will make the sea level higher because it'll make the glaciers melt. When water expands in the ocean, it takes up more space and the level of the seas rise. If global warming gets worse, some kinds of plants and animals will become extinct. So as a result we have to slow down the global warming.

Advantages and disadvantages of learning in groups

Advantages and disadvantages of learning in groups There are three 10th grades in our school at the moment and the students are shared into seven groups. The groups have different teachers. At first I thought that the groups are made by educational success but this is not true. There are fifteen stundents in my group and most of them are from 10c. Only 4 girls are from 10a and from 10b there are no students in my group. In my opinion it is a great chance to make friends with everybody who graduates the sameyear with me and one of the most important advantages is fellow feeling. I think it is better if the groups are made by educational success. There are weakers and strongers in one group. If the teacher deals only with the strongers, the weakers fall behind and if the teacher deals with the weakers, the strongers are bored. Generally I am for the group system because it will be boring and tedious if we

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to express my disapproval of the Westwale Councils decision to sell the land of the Longheath Park. In my opinion, this is a terrible idea which will have many disadvantages for our town. Firstly, if the park is sold to the property developer, he will built an estate of 50 houses on the land. As a result, there will be no open spaces left. Therefore, children will not have a chance to play freely, and people will have nowhere to walk their dogs or ride their bikes. Secondly, there will be less green areas in town. Obviously, this will be very unhealthy, as people need fresh air and natural surroundings for good health. What is more, the town will be crowded and built up. Consequently, there will be more traffic, pollution, and the town will no longer be a nice place to live. To sum up, I think it is a very bad idea. I hope the local council will take my

My interest in chemical technology

I studied for 3 years in an english-science biased class in secondary school. My favourite subjects were chemistry and biology. We had many field trips. For instance, we had field trip to Kohtla-Järve to see the oil shale industry and also tours to see the wind generators. This is where my attraction to environment and chemistry grew together and I wanted to know more about further job and education opportunities in this field. I had a chance to be a job shadower at a company called ,,Orto", which is a chemical industry. One of the employees who I was shadowing had learned food chemistry and the other employee chemistry and environment. The job was truly fascinating and based on their statements the studies of their specialty also. It was then, when I realized that it is something that I would like to study. I looked into these specialties closer and went to an open days.

George Orwell - Road to Wigan Pier

He talks about his experience as an agent in Burma, where his life was changed. In summary Orwell says that socialism is a nearly impossible thing. MY OPINION This year I knew that I wanted to read G.Orwell for the Home reading book. When I was in the library I first took the book ,,1984". I had started to read it I found out that it had been translated into Estonian and it had been made into a movie. I knew that the ,,Animal Farm" is readable in Estonian too. I had no chance, but to choose ,,The Road to Wigan Pier". I first fought it was a novel, but after reading two chapters I found out it was an autobiography. But it was very fassinating to read about the life in United Kingdom in 1930s. And I really enjoyed reading about Orwells thoughts, his life and socialism. I got a lot smarter thanks to this book and it was really interesting to read.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of being immortal

What are the advantages and disadvantages of living forever? Scientists believe that in 30 years we have a technology, that makes possible to live forever. Being immortal has its advantages and disadvantages, which you can't just look over. Living for decades or even eons, a person gets the chance to see his future generations. It gives an opportunity to see, how fast the world changes every day. I think most people, who hear about being immortal, think that it would be great. But if they think about it, then they realise that it also has its bad side. For example, you won't grow older of the age you started being immortal, and you will always have the same look, just as 30 or 50 years ago. All the memories from your childhood will vanish in time.

Kitarrikursus algajatele 5.osa-Ben Edwards

holds the song together and maintains its rhythm. Audio: 'The Midnight Special' mp3 (5.34 MB) Ok. So, listening to that you would have noticed that the guitar is laying down the rhythm of the song with the singer coming out over the top. That is the goal of a good rhythm guitarist, to lay down a solid groove so the singer can be clearly heard and the rhythm of the song is maintained. Now you have heard what the song should sound like, I am going to give you a chance to play the start of it. Below I will TAB out what I would like you to play and the strum I would like you to use. Conventional medicine has little to learn from alternative medicine

vital to find a way to a hospital or surgeon in a hurry. Unlike alternative medicine, conventional medicine has proven effectiveness and is scientifically based, while alternative medicine has a lack of scientific basis and its results are not always consistent. On the other hand, alternative medicine is better when having relatively mild condition, such as headaches, then a doctor would probably write out pain killers. Not much help in the long term. Alternative medicine is also the last chance, when having an untreatable condition, like cancer. Conventional medicine seeks to solve problems by masking or eliminating symptoms, which is not always the best solution, because it does not reveal the real cause of the pain. In conclusion, conventional medicine has a lot to learn from alternative medicine. It is also very important to use the right treatment, in more serious cases conventional one. Alternative medicine is not very faithworthy.

Crime is a disease

Crime is a Disease Every day there are thousands of crimes commited in the world. Some are accidental, others planned. People have different opinions what should be done with criminals. Some say that as primitive people they need primitive punishment. Therefore they would just be sentenced a large fine or sent to jail. I think that putting criminals in prison should help and change them, but in reality it doesn’t go like that. Even if they get out of prison or pay their fine, they usually fall back to their old ways and commit another crime.
