Subject : Suggested improvements
Date:2nd May 2011
The purpose of this report is to comment on conditions in the college and to make recommendations for possible improvements.
Although conditions are generally good , there are one or two problems. Firstly, in large classes, there is not much desk space . Secondly, the classrooms tend to be darl, especially in the winter months. Finally , during video lessons, some of us find it difficult to see screen properly.
There are number of changes that could be made in order to improve the situation. To begin with, I would strongly suggest that the number of students per class kept to below ten. In this way...
To sump up, while most of us are satisfied with the conditions, I feel that above improvements would make things even better. If these suggestions were carried out...
Complaint
Dear Sir
I am writing to complain about the holiday apartment I rented from you on 15th of August. I believe your advertisement was misleading in a number of ways .
Firstly, the apartment was by no means spacious. The rooms were cramped and there was very little storage space. Also, the distance from the beach was ten times farther than you claimed .
Furthermore, the balcony railing was broken . This was quite dangerous and could have caused an accident. In addition , it overlooked an unattractive car park in contrast to the „great view“ you advertised. Consequently, I felt I could not stay any longer and returned home after 3 days.
As you can imagine , I am quite disappointed. I feel I am entitled to a partial refund in addition to an apology for the inconvenience caused. I look forward to receiving a prompt reply .
Yours faithfull

permission
Dear Mr Cox,
I'm writing on behalf of the students to ask permission to hold a party at the college at the end of term .
We would be grateful if you would allow us to hold the party in the main hall on 30th May from 8pm to 11pm. We plan to have a disco and some refreshments. Melanie Clark is making the arrangements for the food and drink and Vicki Brown is organising the decorations.
In accordance with the college rules, we will make sure the hall is cleaned immediately after the party. Also, as the party will be over before midnight I can assure that there will not be a problem about the noice.
I hope that this meets with your approval. If you have any questions please do not hestitate to ask.
Yours sincerely,
allkiri

Application
Dear Sir/ Madam ,
I am writing to apply for the position of information officer which was advertised in „The Evening News“.
I am 19 years old and am studying German at university . I am in my third year and would like the opportunity to practise my language skills with foreigners. I also speak some Spanish. I would appreciate the valuable experience that working with tourists would give me, since I plan to follow a career in hotel management when I graduate.
I have always enjoyed working with people. Last simmer, I worked as a guide for Freedom Holidays, which was interesting and enjoyable. This experience increased my knowledge of local history, tourist resorts and places of intrest.
I am available for the whole of the summer period. I can be contacted by telephone on 201576 or at the above address. I hope you will consider my application.
Yours faithfully,

Üldtuleviku moodustamiseks kasutatakse abiverbe will/shall. Traditsiooniliselt esineb shall ainsuse ja mitmuse 1. pöördes ( I, we ). Kaasaegses inglise keeles kasutatakse will kõigis pööretes ning shall, et küsida kellegi arvamust, kuid tendents on kasutada abiverbi will kõigis pööretes. Will/shalltuleviku asemel saab kasutada mitmetel juhtudel going totulevikku. Üldtulevik väljendab: · Ühekordset, korduvat või harjumuspärast tegevust tulevikus. I will meet John in the station. My birthday will come again. · Tegevust või situatsiooni, mis kestab tulevikus.

Contitional sentences

Conditionals Sentences with if are used to express possibilities. 0 Zero conditional If-clause present (past) simple Main clause present (past) simple Sometimes sentences with if express certainty rather than possibility. The zero conditional is used to talk about sth. that is always true (such as a scientific fact), or that was always true in the past. In this type of conditional we can use when instead of if. E.g., If/When you mix blue and red, you get purple. If/When you don't water flowers, they die. (present simple in both parts of the sentence) If/When I asked her to come with us, she always said no. (past simple in both parts of the sentence) 1 First conditional If-clause present simple; Main clause future tense (or: can, must, may, etc., + bare infinitive) Used to talk about the consequences of a possible action (a real or very probable situation in the present or future). E.g., If I write my essay this afternoon
