Technology has dramatically changed leisure and hobbies Family drives with a car, husband turns the car looking at the GPS directions to home. Wife shares pictures to Instagram with her iPhone and in the backseat girl is playing with her iPad and boy reads on his kindle. This is normal nowadays, because technolgy has been improved for example people can now communicate with each other much faster. It is great, although it can also harm people. Technology is serious responsibility- if people do not use an invention carefully, then it would end up the wrong way. The word „Leisure“ meaning changes in every 10 to 20 years. 50 years ago spare time was usually considered as that part of a day when people took a nap or children played with each other. Nowadays technological tools are killing off leisure time, especially for younger
The literature review will discuss the sustainability aspects of biofuels. Food production will be the main concern as it is the most debated issue, but other aspects, such as land use change and water consumption will be also considered as they are essential aspects in the biofuels sustainability criteria. The review will discuss the viability of biofuels based on the current technologies. Second-generation biofuels are not yet commercially viable and therefore will not be discussed; although they could significantly improve the sustainability of biofuels when they break through to the industrial scale. 2. The scale of biofuels production 2.1. Drivers of biofuels production Lal (2010) stated that "three inter-connected challenges face humankind in the 21st century": food security, climate change, and energy security. The world population is projected to reach 9 billion in 2050, posing more demands on energy, food, and other natural resources. It has

repair there. When the ICN equipment was first introduced, it was found to provide a flexible and advanced system. Moreover, its speed of operation was greater than comparable hardware then available. However, in recent months major faults have developed in the equipment, and the local agent appears incapable of providing a reliable repair service. Consequently, the system is regularly out of order for several days at a time. Although the makers have agreed to replace the system free of charge, the new equipment will not be installed for at least six months. Such a delay is clearly unacceptable to us. We should therefore insist that ICN send their own engineer to service the equipment. Alternatively, the equipment should be transported to the ICN plant for inspection and repair there. Discussion 1 Although Text 25 is not impossible to read, Text 26 is far easier. This is because in Text 26 the
Life in Town versus Life in the Country Lif in Town versus Life in the Country is different for all practical purposes. Most people live in Town perennially, although life in the Country would be more peaceful. Between Town and the Country, it is not right to say, which place makes people happier- it depends on us. Life in the Country is peaceful and pure. People who will locate to live in the Country, cold be a good relationship with nature. Life in the Country is easier in many ways: quiet, fresh air, cheaper food, comfortable. In the Country people don't live very close to each

commentary. If one may want to emphasize how great one feels something is, a swear words emphasizes the positive feelings you have for that object, situation, person or event ("This concert is fucking awesome!"). Sure, one could just say "This concert is awesome," but the addition of the swear word emphasizes the emotional reaction we have toward it -- and easily conveys that emotional reaction to others (psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2009/03/30/why-do-we-swear) Thirdly, although swearing may have positive sides as well, it is still seen as inappropriate or "bad language", which comes from bad manners or low education. Especially problematic is it when children swear, although they may not mean anything bad, or do not even know what the word means, they simply imitate, what they have heard from parents, for example. Usually, when a child swears, it may show to others, how the child`s parents have raised him/her. Of course there are
It is very important right now to talk to people about Ebola, what are it's symptoms, and how it spreads. People have to be aware that it is very dangerous, deadly and easily spreading disease. Let's hope that scientists will work out a vaccine that helps to treat the ones with Ebola. The author used some expressions that I think are common to journalism. I have heard those expressions in news, read in newspapers and magazines For example, in some cases; as more than; although; to avoid; to get across; in addition to; such as; including. These expressions are important because they make an article more understandable and easier to read. It gives colour to an article. From the lecture "Organizing text" the author has used following expressions: as more than; which; through; with; by; although; so far; as long as; such as; to avoid; in the way; in addition to; so. These words are in the text to diverse it and make it more understandable.
XI a Thesis Statement(NEW) ,,The Sorrows of Young Werther" The main character Werther was selfish and with low self-esteem. His selfishness can be seen in two turning-points of the book, when Werther leaves Wahlheim and when he commits suicide. From his point of view these are the only solutions but he is not thinking about Lotte. Although she denies it Werther was much loved by her, he just did not try hard enough to win over her heart. Werther believes that the only way to end his sorrows is to commit suicide but he doesn't have enough positivity to keep on fighting for the love of his life. "Sometimes I don't understand how another can love her, is allowed to love her, since I love her so completely myself, so intensely, so fully, grasp nothing, know nothing, have nothing but her!"
GYM A large number of people do not do any physical activities. This means that they not only go to gym, put they don't do any physical activities at all. Some of them don't have time and the others just don't want to. But what are advantages and disadvantages of going to gym? Although going to gym may be tiring, there are certain advantages to be gained. Firstly because physical activities you will loose fatness and get fit, the risk of being overweight is reduced. Secondly, your immunity will be stronger, so the risk of sickening is smaller. On the other hand, during physical activities you may hurt yourself, for example your muscles may rip or you may break a bone or twist your leg. Moreover, you don't have so
Assessment Report To: Mr Emerson From: Egert Kaegas Subject: Hillside Camping Bagsbottom-by-Sea Introduction As requested, the purpose of this report is to describe and assess the suitability of this camp site for inclusion in our brochure. Location The site consists of a 500 m2 field overlooking the village of Bagsbottom-by-Sea. It is easily accessible to customers arriving by road or rail. Although the site offers an outstanding view, it is not protected from the wind. It can, in fact, become quite chilly in the evenings. Features Hillside has large shower block consisting of 10 showers and toilets for men and the same for woman. However, the cleanliness of the shower and toilet blocks is not of an acceptable standard. There is a bus service to the village, yet it is inconvenient as since it runs only every 30 or 60 minutes. Hillside also has launderette, a restaurant and a bar,

Smacking children Parents all over the world use smacking in the purpose of discipline, even though in reality it is child abuse. Children's behaviour needs to be controlled but they shouldn't be suffering. Firstly it seems to me that parents who continuously beat their children don't care about them. Although few slight slaps for punishment are enough parents still beat them hard. Parents should be the ones who protect children not the ones who children have to be afraid of. In addition some parents equate smacking with discipline although these two are not the same. Teaching is discipline, smacking is punishment. Parents who don't smack their children still discipline them. They are just using ways that don't involve pain. Moreover the law is against all kinds of physical punishments
The Novel of Manners is a realistic novel 1. It comes from England which developed in the nineteenth century That focuses on the customs, values, and 2. Jane Austen was the mindset of a particular class or group of people who are situated in a specific producer of this form and historical context. also the most sucsessful writer in this form Although the novel of manners has always defied easy definition, literary historians seem to have arrived at a 3. Its subject is the set of consensus on at least three elements: social conventions of a particular class in a particular time and place The novel of manners is dominated by women--as authors, as subjects, and often as intended audience
But is it really the best policy? It isn´t always easy to remain totally honest in difficult situations. We have all lied to our close friends and parents, just for our own good. But the truth is that you always get caught with lying and it only makes things worse. Being dishonest may lead to serious consequenses amd you have to deal with them afterwards. Honesty isn´t only important in your personal life, but also in business. Being honest will help you get a good job and respect. Although there are ways to earn money dishonestly, it won´t give us a good social status. Best feeling in life is when you are respected, but if you are caught lying then people won´t look at you the same way. It may take a long time to build the trust again. I strongly agree that being honest is the most important consideration in a relationship. Although telling lies may be easier in some situations, if you remain truthful, it will pay off.
Where would you prefer to live and why? I would prefer to live in a big city instead of a village or a small town. For example Tallinn, London, New York or Paris. To start with, I would like to live in a big city because of its advantages. Big cities usually have more opportunities to spend your day and night. There are cinemas, coffee shops, theatres, shopping centres, libraries and night clubs. Although you need money to attend different exhibitions and shows big city also offers you free activities. Secondly, there are lots of banks, company offices and factories where people can work. That is the second reason I think big city life is better than a life in a small village. Last but not least, people usually think that they would not like to live in a big city because there are too many people there and they would feel suffocated. But there are areas outside the
Forgiveness and punishment Everybody who has ever done anything wrong has wanted forgiveness or gotten punishment. But forgiveness is not easy however punishment is. So should people forgive or should they decide to punish? Firstly people often do not want to forgive others and want them to feel the same pain as they did. As a result of that people want to punish the people who hurt them. Although if the defendant is sorry and regrets what they did, maybe it's okay to forgive. Even though it may be hard to let go of the hatred and emotions in the end it might help to move on. Secondly if the culprit is not sorry, do they even deserve redemption? And all the people in prisons who don't feel guilt, should we keep them in prison until they do? However the problem with that is that it costs a lot of money. On the other hand
Firstly, big forest machines disturb animals. For example, in winter the machines disturb animals who hibernate in winter. As a result, animals can leave their habitations and go somewhere else where is quiter. In addition to disturbing animals, the forest industry endanger wild animals' lives. Some machines can simply kill some animals accidentally. Besides, there are some species which are rear in Estonian forests. These species should be protected. A further problem is poaching- although it is not a very big problem in Estonia, it affects the number of animals. There are, however, a lot of wild animals in our woods and their life is pretty good, compares with some other country, where are more poaching for example. In conclusion, it can be said that although human activities damage and pollute the environment of wild animals, their life in Estonia is not neccessarily inevitable. In fact, there are several places in Estonia which have been turned into wild life
when Hiiumaa, along with the rest of Estonia, had been conquered by Germanic Crusaders. In 1254, Hiiumaa was divided between the Bishoprick of Ösel-Wiek and the Livonian branch of the Teutonic order who were also partly acting on behalf of the Hanseatic league The island was part of Swedish Estonia from 15631720, after which it passed to the Russian as part of the Governorate of Estonia, although Dagö's Swedish population kept most of their privileges. Most of the island's previously numerous Swedish speaking population emigrated or were "Estonia" during the period of Imperial Russian rule, although a small minority remains to this day. Estonian Swedes are also known as "aibofolke" (meaning island people in Swedish) or "rannarootslased" (meaning coastal Swedes in Estonian). Transport
One advantage is that school uniform helps to maintain discipline. Also it is a symbol of a school. School uniform makes life cheaper and easier you do not have to waste time in the morning thinking of what to wear. Also you do not have to buy a whole new wardrobe for every school semester and I think that a school uniform prepares you for adulthood because often many important jobs have a dress code, which you have to follow. However, for every plus there is a minus. Although many students might like a school uniform, many are against it and the reality is that lots of students refuse to wear it because it may be the bad material and it might be allergic to some students. Also I think that students cannot express themselves as they want to and really think that it would be better for all if you would have a choice of school uniform, what I mean that you can choose from 4-5 clothes.
What is more, a lot of university courses include practical parts and work experience. Having a previous job experience in the field they have chosen, before they actually enter to the job market, is a huge advantage. Moreover, the more connections students collect during their internships, the more options they will have when they begin job search. On the other hand, there are people who believe that higher education is not necessary in order to get a good job. However, although factories and manufacturing were once at the center of our job market, the trend is shifting to jobs in other sectors that require more specific skills. To sum up, I believe that although the idea of going to university may sound intimidating, it is necessary to educate yourself further. After all, in today's competitive job market, the importance of higher education cannot be denied.
Kristjan Paal 6.c The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is a bear native largely within the Arctic Circle encompassing the Arctic Ocean, its surrounding seas and surrounding land masses. It is the world's largest land carnivore and also the largest bear, together with the omnivorous Kodiak bear, which is approximately the same size. A boar (adult male) weighs around 350 700 kg (7701,500 l while a sow (adult female) is about half that size. Although it is closely related to the brown bear, it has evolved to occupy a narrower ecological niche, with many body characteristics adapted for cold temperatures, for moving across snow, ice, and open water, and for hunting the seals which make up most of its diet. Although most polar bears are born on land, they spend most of their time at sea. Their scientific name means "maritime bear, and derives from this fact. Polar bears can hunt their preferred food
serious crime, like homicide, or even more serious than that. The pros of a capital punishment are that if the person gets that punishment, he or she will never get a chance to do something that cruel again. Sometimes the criminals, who get a prison sentence, do something illegal again, after that punishment. Second pro is that it's cheaper for the country to kill the person, than to pay for his/her food and clothes for the rest of his/her life in the prison. Although the killing of the person also needs money, it's still way cheaper than to pay for at least 40 years for all the life needs in prison. The main con of the capital punishment is that if the person actually didn't commit the crime, he or she was punished for, will die as innocent. Nobody can wake him or her up again, after that punishment. Second con is the question of humanity. A lot of countries think that killing the people is inhuman and therefore have abolished the capital punishment

Mother Teresa Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu /agns gna bjadju/ (Albanian Gonxha for "rosebud") was born on August 26, 1910, in Skopje, now the capital of the Republic of Macedonia. Although she was born on August 26, 1910, she considered August 27, 1910, the day she was baptized, to be her "true birthday." Although some sources state that she was 10 when her father died, in an interview with her brother, the Vatican documents her age at the time as "about eight". She was the youngest of the children of a family from Shkodër, Albania, born to Kolë and Dranafile Bojaxhiu (Albanian Dranafile for "rose", nicknamed "Drone"). Her father, Kolë Bojaxhiu was involved in Albanian politics. In 1919, after a political meeting, which left
Computerised world – a better or a worse place to live in ? Although computers are said to be one of the most successful inventions there are many people who do not totally agree with that saying. Computers are able to do everything that make our life easier, but why are there still so many different opinions about ones' usefulness? The positive side of having computers in our life is how much it actually changes our life and makes it easier. There are no problems, I mean literally no problems that computers could not do.
If I Were a Minister of Education In the last five years we have witnessed several changes in the education system. Although some people find it useful and needed, others find it tragic. What has changed and what would I do to make school a better place? Firstly, there are several things that has been changed in the last few years, such as financing vocational schools. Students of vocational schools get paid for good grades and in some schools even for attending school. Even dorms are paid for students. That is true, we have a chance of

back to Transylvania. The story ends with a note from Jonathan, written seven years after. The novel has 27 chapters. All the chapters are journals of characters. Also the book has ten pages of notes which are explanations of different places, names and expressions. ‘’Dracula’’ has cathegorised under many different genres of literature – vampire literature, horror fiction, gothic novel and invasion literature. For me it is mostly horror fiction, although I find this more as a fantasy literature or thriller. I do not think there is something really horrifying but there is the excitement of what is going to happen next. In my opinion, ‘’Dracula’’ is a story about the good and the evil. People in England are trying to save their country, even the world, from the evil of Count Dracula, who definitely has great power to do that. Of course, this fight has its ups and downs, as usual in the stories of good and the evil
have to face this terrible situation, where you don´t know if the person is safe and alright. As always, there are situations where the person doesn´t want to be found, or where she/he disappears without a trace. The reasons of disappearing are very variable, from criminal cases, trafficking in human beings, getting recruited as prostitutes to very hidden and deeply personal matters. The average amout of missing people in Estonia is 199 persons per year, although 70% of the missing persons in 2001-2005 were found alive, luckily. In 2007, night before 24th of June, a 19 year old girl Maris Järve was lost in Pärnu, she was last seen at 2.30 am at the beach promenade, and no one has heard anything about her ever since. She was so young, and had her whole life waiting for her, and although the police did everything that they could search the whole beach promenade, even the canebrake they didn´t find her
Looks how important? Look is quality, which guarantees us first impression of everything. If we can see a repulsive object, then we would not like to know more about it. Conversely looking object makes us feel different. Is look really so important? Why can´t we be ourselves although our look might be different from the view from the streets? I personally love to be myself. I love to feel comfort, that I create with clothes, that I wear. I get my hair cut if it limits my view. Although my thoughts I am pushed by my comrades. If I dressed in public as I dress at home, I would definitely be stared! I am not the one, who makes the rules, I follow them! My friends might still know who I really am, but making new friends
Should mercy killing be punished? Mercy killing, also known as euthanasia, refers to the practice of intentionally ending a life in order to relieve pain and suffering. This type of killing is legal in some countries, but should it be punished instead? Although, it is still a type of killing, it is for a good cause. There are people who suffer and want to rather die than to endure agonies, euthanasia is an answer for them. Thus, mercy killing is very humane and reasonable thing to do and does not deserve punishment. The negative aspect of euthanasia is that it is still a form of killing. One should not be in judge over others life, even when it is for a good cause. The fact that euthanasia could be misused is not less important.
External marketing evironment analysis Socio-cultural Socio-cultural factors Socio-cultural factors take into account the views and trends of society. It is essential for companies to take into account socio-cultural factors, because they need to know what their customers are looking for. habitats for the future. As recycling saves energy it also reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which helps to tackle climate change. I see this as a more sufficient way compared to saving electricity for example (but which, of course, is important too), for it’s generally easier to just recycle. It's really easy to carelessly waste energy–– leaving a light bulb on here and there, keeping the air conditioning on at home when you're out at work or school all day etc. Although it may not be obvious, there is a connection between energy use and the environment. As the same with recycling; when you consume less power, you reduce the amount of toxic fumes released by power plants, conserve the earth’s natural resources and protect ecosystems from destruction. Although, individual consumers can’t solely be blamed for our rising global temperatures, since most of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions can be traced back to large companies
Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining Essay "Every cloud has a silver lining" - this is a very commonly used expression meaning that every bad situation has some good aspect to it. It's usually said as an encouragement to someone who is struggling in difficulties and is unable to see any positive way to get out of it. I have to say that I strongly believe in the meaning of this proverb and I try to recall it in my mind every time I'm in a complicated situation. Although I, like every other person in this world, have my ups and downs, I mostly like to think of myself as a positive person. I always seem to surprise people with my "can-do" attitude and smiley face, especially in severe or akward situations. I tend to believe that there's always something good in bad and that things will always turn out well, no matter how hopeless circumstances might be. Some of my friends, as well as couple of my family members are strong pessimists
Ghana Ghana, country of western Africa, situated on the coast of the Gulf of Guinea. Although relatively small in area and population, Ghana is one of the leading countries of Africa, partly because of its considerable natural wealth and partly because it was the first black African country south of the Sahara to achieve independence from colonial rule. In addition to being known for its lush forests, diverse animal life, and miles of sandy beaches along a picturesque coast, Ghana is also celebrated for its rich history--its habitation possibly

Legoland in Billund, Denmark, is the largest and the oldest. It is divided in 8 different worlds: Duplo Land, ImaginationZone, LEGOREDO Town, Adventure Land, Miniland, Pirate Land, Lego City, Knights Kingdom and Viking land. The park opened in 1968 and has 1.6 million visitors annually, making it the largest tourist attraction in Denmark outside Copenhagen. The parks are marketed to young families, and although they have a number of roller coasters, they are not as numerous or as extreme as those in other parks, and there is a greater emphasis on rides suitable for young children. The parks are split into various areas, which are common between the parks, for example all the parks include a Lego miniland, a model village which includes models of landmarks and scenes from around the world made from millions of genuine Lego bricks. Other common features include a Lego
Its’ influence can be seen even in Estonia. Estonian national security is built upon being a member of NATO and it is dependent on Article 5. Therefore, it is important for us to be in good political relations with America because it is the most influential member of the organization. To stay in good terms some of our political decisions might be affected by the United States, however, it will stay out of the public view. Although Estonia is not directly dependant on America economically but as the United States’ economy has an effect on the global economy, we are bound to be influenced indirectly. In the cultural aspect, Americanisation is taking spreading all over the world. In our everyday life, we are exposed to American culture because it is everywhere: music, films, food. With the development of Internet and technology, the access to different cultures has become easier
the quality of the indoor environment and has been recognized as an important component of the project. Available space analysis On the schematic site plan of the Northern Pointe site, a total area of some 200 feet by 450 feet is indicated as the proposed maximum extent of below grade development. In addition, we believe that a 345 feet by 475 feet area to the north of the community center may be considered for future inclusion in Northern Pointe development plans, although it is not under consideration in this study. Preservation of thirtyone major trees identified in the northeast corner of the site would significantly reduce the total space available for development. It is recommended that the soil should remain undisturbed within 25 feet of the perimeter of the trees’ root systems. Consequently, an area of some 185 feet by 320 feet would be excluded from development plans in an effort to preserve the grove of Douglas Fir trees.

The suppers are normally held on or near the poet's birthday, January 25, sometimes known as Burns Night, although they may in principle be held at any time of the year. but the Jackal is the evil man, who wants to kill the president. In fact the similarities of these two men's thinking worlds, were the keys to the solution. Inspector Lebel thought, what the Jackal could have thought and got the answer. The men were on a similar mission as well, both of them did not work on personal principle. They did what do best and earned their living, the reason why they did it was because they were told to do it. In the end, their determination was personal and they knew, although they had not never met, who they were dealing with. They met only the last day, the Liberation day, where Lebel killed the Jackal with a machine-gun. Their resemblance, although working on different purposes, was what became fatal to the Jackal. You can be as clever and smart as you want, but if you preoccupy one's thinking world, there is no escape.

These victories happened to be the last for the Märtin/Park partnership. For 2005 Märtin departed the team for former constructors' champions Peugeot and their 307 car. Sadly, in comparison to the heights of previous seasons, initial promise was to give way to grief. Although 2005 was by no means an exemplary season by Märtin's standards, he and co-pilot Michael Park had still notched up four podiums for their new employers by the time they had arrived in Wales to contest the Wales Rally Great Britain. However, on Sunday, September 18, 2005, the final leg of the event, two kilometres from the start of Stage 15 at Margam Park, Märtin's Peugeot crashed heavily into a tree. Although the
