It was a perfectly ordinary Friday evening. Dark, muddy and full moon shining in the sky.Parents decided to go to our summer cottage on this weekend. It is a little old house in the woods, but not far from our house there are ohter summer cottages. Father helped us carry things into the house, after that sister and I decided to take a walk in the woods. Mom asked us to be careful, because people were talking about a creature that was hairy, fast and with bloody eyes and sharp teeth. We thought it is unbelivable and funny, just for people could have something to talk about. After all it seemed impossible. We took different way than usually. We walked until we came to an old, ugly, deserted house. Curiosity was so great that we forgot mom's advice. Approaching the house we saw window frames covered with cobwebs . We decided to open the door even tough we were frightened... Creeeek! We trembled and took a step back .. we realized that it w...
Weather forecast. Millions of people tune into the weather forecast each evening on television. Most of them imagine that the presenter does little more than arrive at the studio a few minutes before the broadcast, read the weather, and then go home. In fact, this image is far from the truth. The two-minute bulletin which we all rely on when we need to know tomorrow's weather is the result of a hard day's work by the presenter, who is actually a highly-qualified meteorologist.

I´m going to write you about my easter. In this year was my easter quiet. All family was home and we enjoyed to be together. I colured eggs in the Saturday evening with my mother. It was so much fun. We used the special colour and the eggs came very nice. In the evening we also made a delicious cake, what we could ate in Sunday morning. Our home was also decoration. There were well know Easter symbols like chicks, easter eggs, bunnies and the pussy willows were in the vase. This was all what I could to write you about my easter.
My summer holidays In my summer holidays I was out a lot. I went camping in Rõuge. We were there three days. We went there in the midday about 12 o' clock. I sunbathed there and then I went swim to the Rõuge Suurjärv. In the evening we grilled the sausages and after that we went to the sauna. In next day we went ride with the speedboat on the lake. In third day I went rollerskating and in the evening we went back to the home. In summer I was in beach a lot. Usually I went to Kubija beach. I sunbathed and swimmed there. In summer I babysat. The baby was ten month old. I went to the Otepää Seikluspark in my summer holidays too.
Fatal walk It was a warm and cloudless Friday evening in summer but Angelina didn't want to go to a party. She went for a walk at a park. She had a great evening and she enjoyed all this incredible nature in the park. Angelina was glad that she hadn't gone to party because she felt herself so relaxed. There were a few people in the park, birds were singing and not so warm evening sun was still shining. I felt a little bit chilly myself and it was getting darker too so I decided to go back home. My way back wasn't very pleasurable. I had always been afraid of those dark unlit side- streets but that walk had been good for me so I wasn't afraid that time. But then I heard screaming from one street. I didn't dare to go there but I peeked around the corner and I saw two men fighting with each other. One man had a gun and he was wearing a black mask

She said, "Sorry, Michael I didn't noticed you, are you okay?" "Yes, but I will be better if you'll come out with me tonight, would you?" asked Michael. "Sure!" "Well, then I'll come and pick you up at 7pm!" Then Sally drove away, thinking about what she had done. She promised yesterday to her 10-years old daughter that she will watch a movie with her and now Sally didn't know what to do, her agreeing was just a slip of the tongue. In the evening, when she reached to home from work, she lied and said to her daughter that she can't stay at home because she have to work. She hadn't had no idea what she would wear, she put on a beautiful dress and crossed her fingers that Michael will like it. Then she thought that she had enough time to have a cup of coffee before Michael pick her up but then she spilled her coffee on her dress. She had been all thumbs all day

After vowing to replace it before anyone discovers its current condition, he suggests celebrating Bella's new found freedom with a trip to Florida, by using the airline tickets she received as a gift from Carlisle and Esme for her birthday. Bella rejects this idea, instead offering to go another weekend. During dinner that evening Edward, shockingly, brings up the soon to expire airline vouchers to Charlie. This insights an argument between Bella and her father, ending in Bella announcing that she will go to see her mother if she wants. The evening soon winds down with a quick trip to the Cullen house and a visit with Esme and a demonstration in vampire chess before Bella returns home to find Charlie anxious to have a talk with her about intimacy which leads to massive amounts of embarrassment for both Charlie and Bella

she met Royce King the 2nd. All she ever wanted was to live comfortably and raise a child. Royce always wanted to be out with Rosalie because he enjoyed they way people looked at them. Bella takes in what Rosalie is saying with some shock. Bella wonders if the reason Rosalie has so much more bitterness than the others is because she was so close to having what she wanted. Rosalie continues the story and Bella can sense that the unpleasant ending is nearing. Rosalie recaps the evening of her death. She remembers everything about that night, the coldness of the weather and her worries about having to move the wedding indoors. Rosalie had been leaving Vera's house to head home when she ran into Royce. Royce was drunk and with several of his friends. Together, they assaulted Rosalie and left her for dead in the street when Carlisle found her. He worked on her trying to save her but couldn't. Rosalie remembers she felt like she was flying and the searing pain

He spends his evenings in the hotel dancing with different girls and drinking. One day he even encountered a prostitute, who he payd and then told off. During those three days he spent in New York, he could be described as a lonely and drunken teenager, who wanders around the city aimlesly. On the second day, he meats his former girlfriend in a museum. He offers the girl to run away with him but as she refuses, Holden gets frustrated and goes to the park where he used to go as a youngster. The evening gets colder and he decides to sneak in to his parents appartment to visit his little sister Phoebe. She is the most important person in Holdens life. He can rely on her and look for her support, because he thinks Phoebe is the only person on Earth, who can understand him. He is forced to admit to Phoebe that he was kicked out of school, which makes her mad at him. When he tries to explain why he hates school, she accuses him of not liking anything

When the subject is not doing the action, but something is happening or being done to it, or the action is directed at it, then we use a passive verb. The telephone was invented by Bell. NB! The object of an active sentence becomes the subject of a passive sentence. The doer of the action is indicated by a by phrase. When the doer of the action is not important, the ’by phrase’ is omitted: Active: Someone locks the office every evening. Passive: The office is locked every evening. Tenses in the Passive Voice A passive verb is the verb be in the right tense + a Past Participle (PP) • Present Simple: am/are/is + PP The office is locked every evening. • Past Simple: was/were + PP My car was stolen last night. • Future Simple: will be + PP No disciplinary action will be taken against you. • Present Continuous: am/are/is being + PP
Present continuous and present simple We use present continuous For actions that we have already arranged to do in the near future, especially when the time has been decided. Dear Mr. Johnston, I am writing to you to lodge a complaint against the quality of food and service we received in your restaurant on Thursday last when we dined with you that evening. We have been dining with you for the past 5 years and have always received a great welcome and wonderful food but on this occassion the food was only lukewarm when it was received and the whole service took nearly three hours in total from arriving to settling the bill. When we mentioned this to your staff member Mr Simpson he was rude to myself and other guests and refused to acknowledge our complaint. I look forward to receiving a check to this amount and dining with you again in due course.

Story About five years ago Jessica and Adam met while Jessica was working in London as a programmer for an IT company. One day Jessica saw Adam at a furniture shop. Adam was a university student looking for a couch, he also was doing a summer job as a supermarket employee. When Adam was leaving the shop he left a little message near Jessicas laptop, it told her to call him. Jessica phoned her the next day and they met at the same evening. Adam and Jessica liked a lot about each other. Soon after they met Jessica was run over by a car as she was heading home from work. She was badly hurt, but recovered within 6 months. Adam helped her a lot by supporting her and taking care of her. 133
sausage) and toast or bread fried in fat or oil. Fewer people now eat such a morning meal, however, preferring a lighter breakfast. In recent years, the Irish, particularly those in urban areas, have become much more adventurous in their diet, and now eat a wide variety of European and ethnic food. Pubs (public houses) and cafés serve both snacks and full meals. The Irish generally eat three meals a day. The midday meal is usually referred to as lunch and the evening meal as dinner or, when it is less formal, as supper. But some rural people call the midday meal dinner and the early-evening meal tea. Many people, particularly in Dublin, no longer eat more than a light meal or snack in the middle of the day. Those who have an early-evening meal sometimes have another snack-- sandwiches, cakes, or biscuits--at around 9 PM. Socializing The traditional Irish greeting Céad míle fáilte literally means "A hundred thousand welcomes

Example: Last week I was very busy and had to do a number of things. I was even so busy that they called me three times each morning while I was having breakfast, and five times when I was trying to park my car. I had barely reached my office when I got another phone call. And so it continued for the rest of the week. By Friday morning I had been receiving hundreds of phone calls in the most inconvenient situations and at the most uncomfortable times. Thus, on Friday evening when I was driving home I gave a thought of the past working week, I had never had such a crazy week before. were offered instead accommodation in rooms, which we did not want. The room service was extremely slow. On first day, I had to wait a cup of coffe for one hour. Also, there was promsed a TV in the room, but it was out of order. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the recreational facilities either. Altough there were two tennis court, we did not get a change to play because they were booked up most of the time. In the end, our evening entertainment conisted of sitting in the bar all night as the only choice was an extremely noisy disco. Besides, the drinks in the bar are way too expensive. I hope you appreciate mu dissapointment and will consequently do something to improve the service of your hotel. Yours faithfully, Piret
Big celebrations take place all over America. People often dress in the colours of the flag. They decorate their homes and gardens with small flags, posters and balloons. There are parades with a lot of music in the morning. Everybody comes out to watch these. People gather in the centre of the town or village, where some concerts take place. Children often take part in fun run. In the afteroon families have gargen parties. People eat a lot and sing together. In the evening when it gets dark, there are fireworks in many villages and cities. Thousands of their houses to enjoy this. I LOVE THE FORTH OF JULY I love the Forth of July. With the flags and the bands and the music. I love to look at the sky on the forth of day of July ( two, three, four ). Here on the Forth of July you and I will be marching to the music. I love the Forth of July, I love the flags. I love the bands, I love the music.
We try to interrupt penguins as less as possible. That's why they look themselves the food and place to stay. Mostly they eat fishes and squids. After those duties with them are done, It's almost afternoon. Then I crab some lunch and chat with some other scientists. We are making quite progress in exploring penguins. After my lunch I go to see them again. I watch their actions and habits and write everything down. In the evening I try to write for my research. After that I go to sleep to wake up again in the new morning and all this starts over.
hard day's work in the city. In the middle of the garden is a beautiful statue of William Shakespeare. In 1981 a lifesize statue of Charlie Chaplin was added. You can buy halfprice theatre tickets at the building with a sign 'tkts'. 'tkts' is London's most famous and popular theatre ticket shop. Based in the Clocktower Building in Leicester Square, tkts is an essential part of a visit to London. Make sure you join the right queue as tickets for afternoon and evening shows are sold from different windows. Near the square you can also find the beautiful entrance to London's Chinatown.
