Ways of expressing the Future

1. Be going to describes intentions or plans. By the moment of speaking the plans have already been made. I’m going to wait here until Carol gets back. 2. Going to is also used for a prediction when we see from the present situation what is going to happen in the future. Look at that tree! It’s going to fall. Decisions expressed with going to refer to a more distant point in the future. Present Continuous Present Continuous describes fixed arrangements, especially social and travel arrangements. A time reference is usually included. I’m meeting Mary at 5 o’clock. John’s seeing his dentist tomorrow. 3 Present Simple 1. We use the Present Simple for future when we are talking about a timetable, usually a public one such as a train timetable. The train leaves at five twenty-five tomorrow morning. The football match starts at half past five.

Comparative law

required to follow the laws as they have been written. A judge, therefore, in a civil law system, has considerably less authority or autonomy than a judge in a system based on common law. 2.What is Comparative Family Law? At the most basic level, comparative family law is the comparison of legal systems for the regulation of intimate and family lives. Comparison can be functional, serving to inform the discussion about similar or different institutional arrangements to address analogous legal problems arising all over the world. Comparisons can also reveal the structural nature of law, leading to questions about the role of legal narratives about family law, the effects of those narratives on the state and the structure of society and more importantly law as a form of legal reasoning that travels across time and space to create new institutional forms and doctrinal arrangements.

Report To:headmaster From:Liis Subject: Suggested improvements Date:2nd May 2011 The purpose of this report is to comment on conditions in the college and to make recommendations for possible improvements. Although conditions are generally good, there are one or two problems. Firstly, in large classes, there is not much desk space. Secondly, the classrooms tend to be darl, especially in the winter months. Finally, during video lessons, some of us find it difficult to see screen properly. There are number of changes that could be made in order to improve the situation. To begin with, I would strongly suggest that the number of students per class kept to below ten. In this way... To sump up, while most of us are satisfied with the conditions, I feel that above improvements would make things even better. If these suggestions were carried out... Constructivism theory

While for neorealists "anarchy" is a determining condition of international system that by itself interprets competition and conflict as endless strong possibilities, and thus the international system a more conflictual than peaceful environment, for constructivists anarchy alone does not make much sense as it cannot by itself bring about a predetermined state of affairs among state actors. Rather, what makes much sense for the constructivist is that under anarchy different social structures and arrangements, cooperative and conflictual, can be formed and defined on the basis of actors' social identities, and accordingly, the way they construct their national interests and security. In other words, as Alexander Wendt puts it, "anarchy is what states make of it," that is, the "nature" of international anarchy appears to be conflictual if states show a conflictual behaviour towards each other, and cooperative if they behave cooperatively towards one another. If you are still dubious about how the lectern represents a shield and obstruction between you and the audience, start observing the altars of modern churches, stages for TV award programs, and the podium arrangements used by professional seminar leaders. In each case, the speaker either operates without a lectern, or the lectern is a transparent stand. The reason, as we have learned here, is to avoid having the speaker partially blocked from the audience and to allow the speaker to use the full body. One of the most difficult room arrangements for a speaker is when the audience is spread out a full 180 degrees from left to right

EU internal Market law. Mid term evaluation assignment

discrimination against certain part of goods (dogs). The prohibition of dealing (selling and importing) in pit bulls and Rottweilers has hit noticeably PB&R company’s profits potentially driving it out of business. From this, I surmise that provisions in question are to be regarded as a measure having equivalent effect to an import/export restriction contrary to Articles 34-35 TFEU. 1.3. Nature of the measure in question. Discriminatory measure? Selling arrangements? The European Court has consistently held that the Member States may no longer rely on Article 36 of the EEC Treaty to justify rules restrictive of trade, when Community directives provide for the complete harmonization of all measures necessary to ensure the protection of the interests enumerated in that article. According to the case factual circumstances, the exact dog breed selling/buying ban amounts to a discrimination against certain part of goods (dogs).

Shipreport

On some ships, the machinery space may comprise more than one engine room, such as forward and aft, or port or starboard engine rooms, or may be simply numbered. 1.1)Main engine The engine room of a motor vessel typically contains several engines for different purposes. Main, or propulsion engines are used to turn the ship's propeller and move the ship through the water. They typically burn diesel oil or heavy fuel oil, and may be able to switch between the two. There are many propulsion arrangements for motor vessels, some including multiple engines, propellers, and gearboxes. Large engines drive electrical generators that provide power for the ship's electrical systems. Large ships typically have three or more synchronized generators to ensure smooth operation. The combined output of a ship's generators is well above the actual power requirement to accommodate maintenance or the loss of one generator. 1.1.1)Diesel engine

alati aktuaalne olnud. The UK

THE U.K Different Parts The United Kingdom is a short way of saying the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The UK is the political name for those countries which share a parliament in London. All of them were at one time independent kingdoms with their own monarch. Now they are all part of the same kingdom and share the same monarch. The UK consists of Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales. The peoples of these countries are British subjects; they hold British passports and therefore their nationality is British. The british Isles is the geographical name for all the islands off the west coast of Europe. These islands also include The Republic of Ireland, which is politically independent of the Britsh government. Many people refer to the inhabitants of the British isles as 'the English', but England is only one of the countries. The other countries are Scotla...

Jamaica

Women's handbags should be zipped and held close to the body. Men should carry wallets in their front pants pocket. Large amounts of cash should always be handled discreetly. To enhance security in the principal resort areas, the Government of Jamaica has taken a number of steps, including assignment of special police foot and bicycle patrols. Particular care is still called for, however, when staying at isolated villas and smaller establishments that may have fewer security arrangements. Some street vendors and taxi drivers in tourist areas are known to confront and harass tourists to buy their wares or employ their services. If a firm "No, thank you" does not solve the problem, visitors may wish to seek the assistance of a tourist or police officer. Drug use is prevalent in some tourist areas. Citizens should avoid buying, selling, holding or taking illegal drugs under any circumstances

Referaat Elton John'ist

His success has had a profound impact on popular music and has contributed to the continued popularity of the piano in rock and roll. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked him #49 on their list of the 100 greatest artists of all time. Some of the characteristics of John's musical talent include an ability to quickly craft melodies for the lyrics of songwriting partner Bernie Taupin, his former rich tenor (now baritone) voice, his classical and gospel-influenced piano, the aggressive orchestral arrangements of Paul Buckmaster among others and the flamboyant fashions, outlandishly excessive eyeglasses, and on-stage showmanship, especially evident during the 1970s. John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994. He has been heavily involved in the fight against AIDS since the late 1980s, and was knighted in 1998. He entered into a civil partnership with David Furnish on 21 December 2005 and continues to be a champion for LGBT social movements. On 9 April 2008, John held

must be excluded when calculating whether the 700 limit has been exceeded. · The importer may opt to have the goods charged at the relevant tariff rate(s) applicable to the individual items (although in practice this is unlikely to arise, as the 2.5% rate will normally be more beneficial to the importer). 6. PROCEDURE AT IMPORTATION 6.1 De minimus limits. No special arrangements apply. If a quick calculation shows the amounts payable to be below the de minimus limits the goods should be released without charge. 6.2 Consignments of Negligible Value The Customs Declaration form on the relative parcel, if sent by post, should be marked "Negligible Value" or state the value of the goods in question, in addition to giving the details normally required. If imported using a SAD, the goods should be declared as a consignment of negligible value

Orderly arrangements of columns, pilasters and lintels, as well as the use of semicircular arches, hemispherical domes, niches and aedicules replaced the more complex proportional systems and irregular profiles of medieval buildings.
