Strategies of creating a dominant party – the case of UR

towards a, what is called "dominant party system", in this paper, I will examine the main strategies, by witch United Russia has gained and perpetuated its dominance. After looking at the main features of a dominant party, I will focus on the reforms in Russia's electoral law, which supported the nascence of a dominant party. In the second part of the work, I will concentrate on the political strategies, which have helped the party to maintain its hold on power. Defining the dominant party The concept of dominant-party system, or one-party dominant system, refers to "a category of parties/political organizations that have successively won election victories and whose future defeat cannot be envisaged or is unlikely for the foreseeable future" (Suttner 2009: 277). Dominant party regimes are often seen as the contemporary forms of authoritarian rule. For

immediately. Stretching essentials Warm up first. Stretching muscles when they're cold increases your risk of injury, including pulled muscles. Warm up by walking while gently pumping your arms, or do a favorite exercise at low intensity for five minutes. Better yet, stretch after you exercise -- when your muscles are warm and more receptive to stretching. Hold each stretch for at least 30 seconds. It takes time to lengthen tissues safely. Hold your stretches for at least 30 seconds -- and up to 60 seconds for a really tight muscle or problem area. That can seem like a long time, so keep an eye on the clock or your watch. Then repeat the stretch on the other side. For most muscle groups, a single stretch is often enough if you hold it long enough. Don't bounce. Bouncing as you stretch can cause small tears in the muscle. These tears leave scar tissue as the muscle heals, which tightens the muscle even further -- making you less

Creating objects with the Shape Tools

Creating objects with the Shape Tools Often when you’re creating images in illustraator it’s easy to start off by using primitiive shapes. I want you to select the Elipse tool first. We’ll select the Elipse tool and we’re going to draw a circle. Now if I place the cursor over the center here and start to draw you’ll see that the elipse comes out from the center diagonally and I can make it long and slim, or short and fat, or the opposite. And if I hold down SHIFT as I’m drawing it will constrain it to create a perfect circle. Now if I hold down ALT while I’m drawing it will start to draw from the center and thats a keyboard shortcut that I like to use just to draw from the center of my Document. Now while I’m drawig I can also hold down Space Bar and that allows me to move it slightly into position. Now I’m going to fill it with black. You have to select the object first. Now we’re going to to select black from our

Friend

Friends are a pretty important part of most people's lives. Good friend is the person who gives you the better of the two choices, hold your hand when you're scared, helps you fight off those who try to take advantage of you, thinks of you at times when you are not there, reminds you of what you have forgotten, helps you put the past behind you but understands when you need to hold on to it a little longer, stays with you so that you have confidence, goes out of their way to make time for you, helps you clear up your mistakes, helps you deal with pressure from others, smiles for you when they are sad, helps you become a better person! No one can make you laugh quite the way your friends can. Most importantly of all friends love you for who you are. I know that when I am going through a tough situation, I always ask my closest friends for advice.

deciding to rely on them. Regular books are quite rugged, few bumps and bruses aren't going to make it unreadable, but when u drop your tablet then there's a good chance that it will break and you're going to have to pay quite a lot of money to make it usable again. When going camping somewhere where an power outlet isn't nearby then it is almost unpractical to bring along a tablet that needs charging after a few hours. Tablets and e-books main strengh is capacity, it can hold up to a 10 000 books while not changing it's form factor, while 100 books can fill up a wall full of bookshelves. In my opinion i like tablet's and e- books alot more than regular books, mainly because of the simplicity of carring only one device that does not weight much more than a small journal and has the power to hold all of my much needed books in it.

''How much does life weigh?''

whether this loss is our souls or not. The movie ''21 grams'' brings up a subject that everything we are weights only 21 grams. It is a weight of a chocolate bar, a hummingbird. Still, without these few grams we cannot live without. With these facts, life seems truly inconsequential to me. The first thought, that came into my mind, was whether this is all we are actually worth. It depends on a person, I believe that life is worth as much as you make it worth. Some may hold into these 21 grams one truly valuable life with everything in it. Others may hold a life, that has just passed by. These are the people who have done nothing but just existing for their whole lives. Something needs to be done in order to be content with your life. Before actual dying, people start to think their whole life through. This is the time, when we forget the little things that once seemed awfully important, and start to think a little further. A question ''Did my life weigh enough

Käsipalli ajalugu

player may attempt to catch and touch the ball in the air within it. If a player should find himself in contact inside the goal perimeter he must immediately take the most direct path out of it. Should a defender make contact with an attacker while in the goal perimeter, their team is penalized with a direct attempt at the goal, with only one attacker on the seven-meter line and the defending goalkeeper involved. The ball is smaller than a football in order for the players to be able to hold and handle it with a single hand (though contact with both hands is perfectly allowed). A player may only hold the ball for three seconds and may only take three steps with the ball in hand. After taking three steps the player will have to make a dribble with one hand in order to continue moving forward, but if the ball is held in both hands after making a dribble and the player makes another dribble, a free throw will be given to the other team for a "double dribble".

Corporal punishment In my opinion corporal punishment is unnecessary in our society, because nowadays students may react too fiercely. I believe with all the changes taking place in our world today, it is not realistic to think that the idea of corporal punishment would ever take hold again in schools. I think that most children would respond negatively to a change like this and that this change would only create more of a problem in the long run. Bullying can have a very bad effect on the child who is being bullied and on the child who is allowed to go on bullying. Corporal punishment was not allowed in our school. To predict events, for example to say what we think will happen in the future, using the verbs think, believe etc, the expressions be sure, be afraid etc, and the adverbs probably, possibly, perhaps, certainly etc.  Flora will win on Saturday.  I don’t think the test will be very difficult.  Ask her again. Perhaps she’ll change her mind. To make an offer and a request (ask somebody to do something).  Wait, i’ll carry the bag for you.  Will you hold the dooropen for me, please? To make a decision at the moment of speaking and make a promise.  It’s cool in here. I’ll shut the window.  I’ll phone you in the evening, I promise. NOTE We can use shall instead of will with I and we. But in everyday speech, we normally use the short forms I’ll and we’ll.  I/We shall work.  I/We shall not/shan’t work. Ekke Kaha

investment. For instance: a worker takes payment in the form of a plough so that in the future years when he enters the business sector he can produce more food per acre. The introduction of money In order to simplify the exchange of goods and services between different households, a tool is needed, into which all products can be converted.
