6 March 2014 Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing in order to complain about your product I bought. It is an i-phone, which I ordered from an online shop. A week later it stopped working properly. First of all, the on/off button is broken and does not let me open my phone. The screen colour of the device was also unacceptably almost black and white. In addition to this, the sound was a little bit off and I could no adjust it in the settings. For some reason I also could not see my messeages at all. No only the screen was borken, the camera was not working either. I suggest that you explain all that, replace the item or give me a full refund. I look foward to receiving your explanation. Yours faithfully, Mari Mets

internet, make bank transfers, work and study with them as well. Although computers are making our lifes easier I do not support placing computers to classrooms. Firstly, when students sit in front of the computers from lesson to lesson then their scholastic proficiency will degenerate because they will surf on the internet, chat on MSN and so on. It is doubtless that computers in classroom scatter students attention. Furthermore, computers damage students health. The rays what computer screen vomit are very harmful, so staring at computer screen too much will cause intense damages to people eyes. So from that viewpoint it is absurd to put computers to every classroom. On the other hand, computers in every classroom would make students life easier. They could take notes by computer and also look for additional information about lesson's topic and maybe learn more by that. In conclusion, I think that it is not necessary to have computers in every classroom, because

HSB: hue, saturation, and brightness This scheme provides a device-independent way to describe color. HSB may be the most complex scheme to visualize, especially since color selection software has to reduce its three descriptive dimensions to two dimensions on the monitor screen. But once learned, it can be useful in many instances. The easiest way to visualize this scheme is to think of the H, S, and B values representing points within an upside-down cone. At the edge of the cone base, think of the visible light spectrum (preceeding page), cut from the page and pasted into a circle with shading added to smooth the transition between the (now joined) red and magenta ends. · Hue is the actual color. pronunciation of "Bob" in the Blackadder II episode "Bells". Atkinson suffers from a stammer, and the over-articulation is a technique to overcome problematic consonants. Atkinson's often visually based style, which has been compared to Buster Keaton, sets him apart from most modern television and film comics, who rely heavily on dialogue, as well as stand-up comedy which is mostly based on monologues. Rowan made his big-screen debut in 1983's unofficial James Bond picture Never Say Never Again. Despite this film receiving mixed reports, he has continued to juggle TV and film roles. In 1997 Mr. Bean came to the big screen. This was followed by spoof Bond feature Johnny English in 2003. As a long-time collaborator with writer Richard Curtis, he has regularly contributed to Comic Relief. He even played the 9th Doctor, in the 1999 Doctor Who spoof The Curse Of Fatal Death.

Disease. Macula is located in retina and the image that is focused on the retina is the sharpest in macula. This is the reason why macula can not be damaged at all to have a correct visual acuity. Blue light damages the light-sensitive cells in retina. Macular degeneration disease can lead to permanent loss of eyesight. Both of these diseases can not be cured but it is possible to prevent them. The best prevention would be to avoid the use of smart devices. If there is a need to look at the screen for longer period the screen light should be adjusted to lower level. Another important thing is to blink the eyes to keep them moistured. Also, there are programs for computers and smartphones designed specifically to protect the eyes from blue light radiation. It is also possible to buy protective glasses that protect the eyes and special cover screens which can be placed onto the smart device. 2 USED LITERATURE
Instead, the play games and surf on the Internet. In addition to that, parents make expensive gifts, such as telephones, i-pad's and lap tops to their children and even teach them how to use it if the do not already know it yet. However, the knowledge on how to use the computer, comes in handy when growing up. Different jobs require skills, like how to use different programs to solve a work problems. Nevertheless, people know that it is unhealty to watch the computer screen all day, but they do it anyway. We should always remind ourselves that it is important to read books. They are useful and helpful, also even fun to read. It is always better to read hundreds of books than texts on the screen.

Word processing versus handwriting Technology has definitely changed the way I write, in both quality and quantity. For me writing is more of a chore than an enjoyable activity. To be honest, I hate writing; essays, and assignments, even long e-mails sometimes bother me. When I sit down with my laptop to write an essay I look at the word processing screen and all I see is how much I haven't written and how much I have left to write. The task in front of me becomes more daunting and frustrating. I feel like when I write on the computer my words are chosen to simply fill a page. Handwriting provides an escape from the looming word counts and page numbers. We discussed in class how writing by hand forces you to think out your sentences and chose your words more carefully. I agree

There was no single inventor of the television, there were many inventors working on the idea of watching pictures on a screen Inventors from all over the world had been working on transmitting pictures or objects onto a screen since the 1830’s, but the first physical television didn’t evolve until the 1900’s.In 1862 Abbe Giovanna Caselli invents his Pantelegraph and becomes the first person to transmit a still image over wires. Then in 1906 Lee de Forest built a vacuum tube that worked in the first mechanical working television. In 1940 Peter Goldmark invents the first color

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to complain about the mobile phone which I bought from your store and about your customer service. I bought the phone on 15th September. I was told that the phone has guarantee for 6 months. It worked properly for three weeks. Then it suddenly stopped working, the screen went black and the buttons didn’t function. I immedately phoned your helpline and was told that this was completely my fault and i have to pay extra money for the repair. I think that it is unreasonable that I have to pay for the phone repair because guarantee is 6 months. I also think that in the future you should talk to your employees about their attitude. I would like to get my phone repaired for free. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, xy
A letter of complaint Dear Ms Maddox, I am writing to draw your attention to a product that I have bought from your online shop. The product I am talking about is an iPhone. Firstly, I would like to point out that the most annoying things are that the screen colour is totally wrong and I am unable to receive any new messages. Secondly, I have to say that the on/off switch gets stuck almost daily, so I can not use my phone like I should be able to use it. Thirdly, I have encountered some problems with the sound and also with the camera. That means the camera will not focus and I can not hear any ringtone at all. I hope that you will come up with a reasonable soultion. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Yours sincerely, Mati Mets

chat with your friends live in msn and even have video conversations with them. Furthermore, the internet is like a world biggest library. There is a lot of information about everything. For example, if you want to know the name of Estonian president you will find it in the internet,in few minutes. In the other hand, sitting too many hours in computer is not good for your eyes. For example, more and more people are wearing classes because of watching the screen everyday. Takeing everything into consideration internet is very important, because it makes many things much easier. Unfortunately it is not good for our eyes and being too much in computer might harm our eyes.

When you're eating, notice how your body feels and when your stomach feels comfortably full. Sometimes, people eat too much because they don't notice when they need to stop eating. Eating too much can make you feel uncomfortable and, over a period of time, can lead to unhealthy weight gain. Limit screen time. Limit screen time. What's screen time? It's the amount of time you spend watching TV or DVDs, playing video games (console systems or handheld games), and using the computer. The more time you spend on these sitting-down activities, the less time available for active stuff, like basketball, bike riding, and swimming. Try to spend no more than 2 hours a day on screen time, not counting computer use related to school. Be active Figure out which activities you like best. Not everyone loves baseball or soccer
This film talks about global catastrophe, where second ice age is coming with a huge storm before it. A climatologist Jack Hall's researches show that his fears are coming true. He must go to the White House to warn everybody, but in addition he must reach to New York to save his son who is draped in a library by storm. On the plus side the movie is visually stunning. Special effects are great and there is plenty of action to keep you in front of the screen. On the other hand some people may not like how far all this climate changing has taken and find this all too exaggerated. All in all it's a fascinating story with great special effects and all this shows us what could happen to world when we keep up with living like this.
Nowadays everything is becoming computerized. Many schools let students use computers for their school subjects. I believe that it is a good thing to have such an opportunity, but I don't think they should use computers for every school subject. Firstly, it is not necessary to have computers in every class. It is normal to have computers in Information Technology classroom, where students learn to use computers for their own good. Sitting in front of a computer screen all day, every day, is bad for students' health, it can damage their eyesight. Also, it will be too expensive. It would be difficult to buy computers for every student. Setting up and updating the software will create additional costs. If schools buy too many computers, there may not be left money to pay salaries for the teachers. Will it ensure the high quality of teaching? On the other hand, we are living in the 21st century and nowadays everything is done with computers
School should provide computers for students to use for all their school subjects Nowadays we are moving into a IT era. This is an inevitable because everything is becoming computerized. Students use computers to make homework. I strongly believe that schools should have computers but there is no need for all the subjects. Firstly, sitting a long time in front of the computer screen is unhealthy. Students' eyes will be dry and they may have headache. It can also have a negative effect on students' moods. In addition, computer labs' maintenance is expensive. One which can be need to writing and using Internet only, costs not much, but if we need to buy about twenty computers for one class - it is huge amount. Only schools that have a lot of money can afford more machines. On the other hand, notebook can be useful and it doesn't damage your senses and health, but
not seem to find any positive aspects about them. But are electronic games really that bad for you? Of course, like anything else, video games can be addictive, which may lead to eye damage. The impact of excessive visual medium is evident as a large number of children these days start wearing spectacles from an early age. Long hours of playing can also result in headaches and dizziness. When played moderately, video games have many benefits. The activities and actions on the screen provide a lot of mental stimulation, improving coordination, concentration and problem-solving skills. Online gaming enables many players to engage in a particular game simultaneously. There is constant communication between the players which in turn results in the development of meaningful as well as casual relationships among them. Even cadults can bond with their children while playing together. Modern electronic games are negative only when played irresponsibly

to computers and of course Internet. I think that every human should control his or her computer using habits. First of all, people have to use their brains lesser. They do not have to remember how to spell words anymore, the computer does it all for them. What is more, students do not have to go library to do their home tasks. They can just use Internet search engines. For this reason, people`s brains grow lazy. Secondly, people are just sitting behind the computer and watching the screen. They are chatting or doing work but they do not understand that they must take break and do some exercises. In my opinion not exercising can make people stressed and unsatisfied. Finally, we think that is very comfort to communicate with friends and other people via Internet. This kind of communication can lead to unsociability because people are in need of showing they`re emotions. Moreover, some people think that it is more comfortable not to accociate with others at all.

students to use for all their school subjets Nowadays we are making a step up into the era of IT. Everything is becoming computerized. Is there a way to not overuse technics? Now the question is: "Should schools provide computers for students to use for all their school subjects?" I strongly believe that schools should have modern computers but there is no need in using them for all the subjects. Firstly, sitting in front of a computer screen all day can be damaging for students' health, especially sight. As a result, children can feel more exhausted after school than they do now. It can also have a negative effect on students' moods. In addition, providing computers for students to use for all the subjects in Estonia is unreasonable. I am trying to say that many schools have more urgent problems than low level of computerizing. Only some prestigeous schools can afford themselves to have a PC for every student.
Whatever kind of movie you make, it must have a clear idea, because the audience needs to understand the content. Film-making is very expensive, even about 15 minutes long film can cost over 30,000 pounds to make. A low-budget feature-length film can cost more than 0,5 million pounds. Therefore, film-maker must be sure that audience will like the movie. Low-budget films in Britain usually begin with a script, which is written specially for playing in the cinema. There are courses over Britain for people who want to learn how to write a script. One person can't take the responsibility of the whole movie, because film-making needs to involve hundreds of people. Low-budget films are shot on limited budget, beacause young or unknown dircetors suffer from lack of funding from studios. Several organizations like The British Film Institute fund short films shot by first-time directors. Also The BBC, Channel 4 and National Lottery spend lar...
Peace was restored immediately. This incident, which happened three years ago, was the first time I saw a tablet computer used as a pacifier. It certainly wasn't the last. Since then, I've seen many tiny children barely able to toddle yet expertly swiping an iPad not to mention countless teenagers, smartphone in hand, lost to the real world as they tap out texts. It's ten years since the publication of my book, Toxic Childhood, which warned of the dangers of too much screen-time on young people's physical and mental health. My fears have been realised. Though I was one of the first to foresee how insidiously technology would penetrate youngsters' lives, even I've been stunned at how quickly even the tiniest have become slaves to screens. Indeed, when my book came out, Facebook had just hit our shores and we were more concerned with violent video games and children watching too much TV. Today, on average, children spend five to six
programme which enjoy you most: current events, documentaries, sport and educational programmes, films, plays, the arts, news, variety shows, etc. You always decide which programme is the most exciting, valuable, informative or amusing and is worth seeing. Some people think that it is a waste of time watching TV. Besides, it leads, as they say, to poor health through rushed meals, lack of sleep, eyestrain. People begin to forget the art of conversation. They sit glued to the TV screen instead of visiting. As for me I prefer watching action movies in Nakhodka TV and on holidays I enjoy all Russian canals. My family prefers the news canals and serials. I often like listening music and watching clips on TV. My hobby is computing I think «Computer World program» is valuable for me. I try to know the latest models of modern computers in the world. To my mind it is very exiting. TV is the greatest invention of man.

There is a lot of reasons why. Firstly, our textbooks and worksbooks are compiled that method that there are some excercises which we will have to check from internet like all kind of searching tasks what expect us to use Internet. It also simplify teacher work, teacher does not have to waste her time preparing the lessons.Because they can check out the difficult words quickly from internet. On the other hand, sitting in the computers every day is not good for our health, staring at a computer screen for several hours is enough to tire the eye muscles and it also causes stress and fatigue. Spending too much time in computer will lose students communication skills , because chatting only in the internet forums does not promote their communication skills. The worst about this problem is that in virtual world students prefer talking slang instead of correct english . And they will forget soon how to talk like they used to talk before.
Shutter island review Shutter island is a movie written by Martin Scorsese. It is a very psychological film in my opinion and you can not take your eyes of the screen for a minute, because then you will lose track. I think Leonardo is very good in this role and these kinds of movies suit him. I did not like the movie so much because there is a lot of talking and little action in my opinion. Some of the parts were very well executed, for example the part where Teddy realises he is a patient in the hospital. The movie was good becasue you could not tell what was going to happen and the ending was unexpected, that is what is diffrent from other movies

If it is assumed that a complete subtitle of two lines usually has between 14 and 16 words, it can then be stated that up to 2 or 3 words can be read in a second, or simi- larly: a subtitle with those characteristics should stay on screen about 5 and a half seconds. The author proposes to increase this suggested time to 6 seconds, because "the brain needs ¼½ of a second to start processing the subtitle it has traced". This initial period, supposedly needed for reading preparation is usually referred to as "onset". Likewise, the author indicates that such a subtitle should not be more than 6 seconds on the screen, because "this would cause automatic re-reading of the subtitle, especially by fast readers"
