Princess Diana Diana Frances Spencer was born on July 1, 1961 at Park House, Sandringham, Norfolk, England, UK. She was a member of the British royal family and the first wife of Charles, Prince of Wales. Diana was first educated at Silfield School, then at Riddlesworth Hall in Norfolk, and at West Heath Girls' School . Diana reportedly excelled in swimming and diving, and wanted to be a professional ballerina. From the mid-1980s, the Princess of Wales became increasingly connected with charities. (As Princess of Wales she was expected to visit hospitals, schools, etc.) In addition, the Princess was the patroness of charities and organisations working with the homeless, youth, drug addicts and the elderly.
