My favourite part of town

My favorite part of town Toila Oru Park My Favorite part of town is called Toila Oru park, which is located 20 km outside the city. The park includes castle complex, luxurious gardens with more than 800 sorts of plants, large beach, amazing terraces, cafés, mysterious spring cave, singing stage and much more. One of the main reason I like it is that there you can always find place for yourself. You can walk in the park, relax on the beach, read on a park bench or just enjoy incredibly beautiful views. There are a lot of interesting places to see. One of the most visited places are the area

Estonian climate in winter-time.

Estonian climate in winter-time. In Estonia, winter climate is very variable. Some year, it could be very cold outside, but some year it could be so warm you may wear your autumn clothes in winter. Some year it could snow so much, that you can't even get out of the house, because there's too much snow in front of your door and some year it may not snow for at least half of the winter-time. But no worries, mostly the temperature may go below -30 and because of the cold, students are absent from schools. The absent students mess up the whole classes program, because then it takes more time to

An event in my childhood

Whenever I think about my childhood, one story comes to my mind. A story I am proud of. It’s about how I helped my one year older brother when he got stung by a bee. It’s not just an ordinary story because my brother, back then, was allergic to bees. And because of that I may have saved his life. It all began on a sunny summer day at my grandfather’s country home. We had a dog back then and he had his own fenced garden with a doghouse in it. Me and my brother were just fooling around outside doing funny stuff. At some point he decided to go let the dog out. The poles that were holding the fence up were holo inside and the bees thought that it was a great place to make a hive in. I can’t remeber why, but my brother for some reason leaned over the fence pole and looked into it. That’s when my brother got stung near to his eyes. He immediately yelled at me that he can’t see and wanted my help, there was nobody else outside at that moment

Brazil's national drinks

Cachaça is Brazil's most common distilled alcoholic beverage. While both rum and cachaça are made from sugarcane-derived products, most rum is made from molasses. Specifically with cachaça, the alcohol results from the fermentation of sugarcane juice that is afterwards distilled. The caipirinha is a national cocktail of Brazil, and is enjoyed in restaurants, bars, and many households throughout the country. Once almost unknown outside Brazil, the drink has become more popular and more widely available in recent years, in large part due to the rising availability of first-rate brands of cachaça outside Brazil. The International Bartenders Association has designated it as one of their Official Cocktails. Caipirinha's are easy to make. All you need is a little cachaca, a lime or tow and some cane sugar (plain sugar will be fine as well). Make this drink in a lowball glass, or any other glass available. Cachaça

In the picture, I can see two people - a man and a woman. I think they're married. She brought some hamburgers outside to have dinner in fresh air and to please her husband. They are barbequeing outside. The man has a blue shirt, shorts and grey sneakers on. He is holding a spade (?) for cooking and flipping burgers. On his shoulder, he has a towel. The woman is wearing a white blouse and an apron. She is holding a plate with hamburgers and she is reaching it towards the man. I can also see a table and a plate with meat on it. Both, man and woman are smiling. the weather is warm and sunny and it is probably the best day for some outdoor cooking

Gothic story

and she knew that. Ella was feeling terrified. She was on the ground floor, in the living room. It wasn't exactly the best place to be in, since the walls of the room were covered with old paintings of men with harrowing looks in their eyes, eyes that seemed to be moving. But she couldn't move. The thought of being anywhere, closer to the attic made her faint. Ella was sitting on the couch and listening to her favourite song, trying not to hear the howling wind and the baying of distant dogs outside. The volume was set almost unbearably loud because she knew that all scary movies started with the main character hearing footsteps or creaking from the attic. She pretended to read a magazine and hum along with the music but she couldn't even deceive herself enough to get her mind off from her loneliness and helplessness. Suddenly, and it all seemed to happen at the same time, the music stopped and the clock struck twelve. As Ella had been dreading the room became silent for a minute

Why I have to learn English ?

You need English language example when you are traveling and want to talk with local people. You need English also in Estonia when some tourist or other person who is visiting Estonia ask you to help her to find some place or wants to talk with you. You need to learn English when you want to go to some other country to study. It is usual that there are Universities in different countries in the world where is possible to learn in English. I don't know if there is any other university outside Estonia where you can learn in Estonian. You need to learn English when you would like to find new friends outside of Estonia. Today a lot of young people are speaking English and there are good opportunities to relate with people trough like MSN, Skype and Facebook. When you speak English well it is easier to find a job because a lot of professions need language skills or to go to work to some other country. Abroad are better possibilities to find job you like.

She sat alone in the canteen. She was always bullied by the big tough girls at the school. Once she stood up to them and the bad girls seemed to like her so called “sassiness”. They invited her to the back ally to “talk”, of course Sam did not know what they ment by that, so she went outside. As they were outside one of the bad girls pulled out a syringe and injected it into Samantha. She was scared to her life, that was literally the last thing she would have thought of. The bad girls only laughed, they guessed that it would be funny. But when one of the other girls injected it, she started foaming from her moth and fell down. She had an overdose. The other girls ran but Samantha quickly called for help. All Sam knows is that she was taken to a hospital.

I think that to stay healthy, physically fit and feel good for itself every person should do some sport every day. After you do sport, you have a good feeling and you're happy that you did that. Do whatever - run, walk, play ball games, throw a ball and you do it yourself to feel better. There are P.E lessons in every school. That is good, because some people do not work out, outside the school and so they do at least some movement. In school we have two P.E lessons a week and that isn't enough compared with the 2-4 hours a day that students spend on the internet or watching TV. In our P.E lessons we play ball games, do long jumps and run and have fun. I think everybody have good time there. I think we should have P.E lessons every day to keep our bodies in shape. First snow

Next, I quickly closed the window and rushed to the bathroom where I was about to take a refreshing cold shower. As I put my head under the cooling water, I realized that something was wrong. The water looked dark gray and seemed to have clogged up the pipes. "What now," I yelled at the sink floated with some gray goo. I didn´t bother to put on more clothes than some old baggy pants and a raincoat when I went outside in the hope of getting some clarification. The moment I stepped outside, I was about to pass out from the heat and exhaustion. I stretched out my palm and caught one "snowflake". It wasn´t cold and neither did it melt. The snowflake was nothing more than a piece of ash that was falling from the sky darkened by the density of the downfall.

By 1854 six separate railway terminals had been built just outside the centre of London: London Bridge, Euston, Paddington, King's Cross, Bishopsgate and Waterloo. At this point, only Fenchurch Street Station was located in the actual City of London. Traffic congestion in the city and the surrounding areas had increased significantly in this period, partly due to the need for rail travellers to complete their journeys into the city centre by road. I will never forget the day

.. I will never forget the day when i was in the country, at my grandmother's, i was listening to the sounds of nature. Everything was quiet, as if everything was standing still. There was a gentle breeze, and the sough in the branches made the morning almost perfect. You could hear birds from further away. I was alone. I had time to enjoy the moment. I was restless and couldn't stand still, so i got up and went to do my usual affairs. To this day i still think and wish i could sit outside early in the morning and listen to the nature. Time has passed by so much, that now i spend much of my free time at the computer, and do not fall asleep until 3 in the morning, and so i do not have the time to go outside in the early mornings. Life has a habit of presenting us with obstacles which are not easy to surpass. Also, we end up in situations where we feel rage, anger, sadness and other feelings. Yet we

Legoland

Miniland Pirate Land Lego City Knights' Kingdom Accident On April 29, 2007, a 21-year old female Legoland Billund employee, was killed by a roller coaster. Legoland in Billund, Denmark, is the largest and the oldest. It is divided in 8 different worlds: Duplo Land, ImaginationZone, LEGOREDO Town, Adventure Land, Miniland, Pirate Land, Lego City, Knights Kingdom and Viking land. The park opened in 1968 and has 1.6 million visitors annually, making it the largest tourist attraction in Denmark outside Copenhagen. The parks are marketed to young families, and although they have a number of roller coasters, they are not as numerous or as extreme as those in other parks, and there is a greater emphasis on rides suitable for young children. The parks are split into various areas, which are common between the parks, for example all the parks include a Lego miniland, a model village which includes models of landmarks and scenes from around the world made from millions of genuine Lego bricks

Positive sides of outdoor learning

museums, battle fields). Outdoor education makes it possible for the students to have hands- on lessons, which gives them personal experiences, opinions and understanding that they will most likely to remember. Outdoor education creates meaningful learning experiences when teachers help children to move beyond simple observations to more complex activities that require higher-level thinking and collaboration with peers. Students nowadays do not spend as much time outside as the generation before them. This situation might cause them health problems and wrong lifestyle choices. Reasons why they are spending less and less time outside are that today we have so many indoor activities that students are keen on and parents are too cautious, preventing accidents. Outdoor education can improve student's health, while taking place in fresh air and making students physically active. The more students show their potential and skills, the more parents will

The Broken Rainbow, inglise keele omalooming, vigade parandus

I ran to the forest. There were also everything wrong. The trees were black and their leaves were brown and white, instead of green. I wasn’t able to understand anything. I saw things that could not be possible and thing that I had never seen before. I got out of the woods. I reached the town gates. They were locked. I was very confused and the best idea that came to my head was to climb over the gate. And so I did. I got safely to the other side of the gate. All of the villagers were outside. There was also my friend in front of the restaurant. Something was wrong with him too. He was scared and frightened. His hands were sweating and he had pale look on his face, like he had seen something creepy. „What’s going on? Why’s everyone outside? Why is the rainbow so different?“ I asked him. My friend didn’t answer. Suddenly I heard something strange. The city gates opened and an army of monsters came in. They were all dressed in black. They had

Helen keller ja Anne Sullivan

However, her friendship with Anagnos suffered when she was accused of plagiarism[plaigarisam]. Helen had written a story entitled "The Frost King" for Anagnos's birthday. It was a lot like a story Helen had heard once, long before, and perhaps she remembered parts of it without realizing it. Some people said Helen's writing was just too good for someone who couldn't see or hear nature with her own eyes and ears. 7. But Helen had spent most of her childhood outside! Anne had taught Helen many things outside of the classroom. She taught her to touch, smell, and experience nature. She wanted Helen to be curious, ask questions, and to discover the world around her. And, for the rest of her life, Helen loved to smell and touch flowers, to feel the wind on her face...she was curious about everything!

Television

Television is a daily presence in the lives of most young children . TV is playing a very big role in their life. Television has its good side. It can be entertaining and educational, and can open up new worlds for kids, giving them a chance to travel the globe, learn about different cultures. However spending time watching TV can take time away from healthy activities like active play outside with friends, eating dinner together as a family, or reading. TV time also takes away from participating in sports, music or art.

Apperances are deceitful!

People who are attractive get used to the attention and admiration. They get proud and think that everything that they reach is due to the way they look. People who are attractive use their looks to get a job, to be promoted, to be excused from doing something they don't want to. The atmosphere around them can not be ruined in any way. Once the reputation is ruined, nice looks will not help any more for they don't matter from no on. But there are people who are equally pretty inside and outside. Such people are pride of the society and are respected greatly. Every one of us knows a lot of examples of above described phenomenon; there's no need to do it here. It is quite possible that people can change so appearances won't matter anymore. The article is meant to help those who suffer from such discrimination to improve their situation, and those who want to start a new life forgetting about their past abuse of own appearance. in the middle and a goal in the center of either end. The goals are surrounded by a near-semicircular line that is generally six meters (6m) away from the goal, called the crease. There is also a dashed near-semicircular line that is nine meters (9m) away from the goal. In established play (which is most of the time, although counterattacking is becoming increasingly important), the defenders stand right outside the 6 m line, with the attacking players throwing the ball to each other a bit outside the 9 m line, trying to create an attack (either by shooting from a distance, or passing to a player standing at the 6 m line). After a goal has been scored, the team conceding the goal restarts the game. Its players move to the center line. Once a player has the ball under control the referee will blow his whistle to restart play.

Me and the environment

INKA ISESEISEV TÖÖ Me and the environment It is very important to keep the environment clean. Many people don' t think what wrong behavior does with the envoronment. Very much people throw their garbage into th environment. Why people throw so many things into the environment whent there is so much garbage bins everywhere, many collecting points. I don' t throw my garbage to outside, i put it in the garbage bin. I will try to sort my garbage. But there's also things why I am forced to ruin nature . I really don 't wanna do that but I can't change it anyhow. I'm forced to do it because in that department whe I live , here is no drainpipe. Because of that we have to throw all our used water to the nature. Everything what we do, what needs to waste water, that's goes all to the nature . It' sad because of that we don't have that drainpipe, our life is so complicated

Smoking should be banned in public places

I think this will disturb every one who is not smoker, when someone smoking next to you when you enjoy your lunch. In my opinion, this is good idea for building smoking rooms, then we do not discriminate smokers who have tobacco addicts. On the other hand, there are many disadvantages of banning smoking in public places. Many people like smoke cigar, when they are drinking whisky, so they can not continue the tradition. Although some bars deny smoking inside and client have to do it outside. In conclusion, I would say that a large proportion of people are smokers and we have to consider with them. I just wish that they will quit smoking because this is very bad for their healths and it can cause cancer.

Why Travel?

Historians travel because they want to become acquainted history of variouse countries. Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness. Travel is all that and much more. One of the goals of study abroad is to prepare you to be more effective, respectful of other cultures, and to better understand your own culture and values. Travelling not only teaches you about other cultures, but it also teaches you more about yourself and your own culture. After all, only from the outside can you look back in. Where will your travels take you and what will you see? Travel can be an escape - an escape from the daily grind, an unhappy relationship or perhaps a transitional period between college and the starting a career or between one job and another. Some people travel not so much to go someplace but to get away.

Backyard Pond

Figure 2 below shows a profile view of the step in the side wall. You create this step by leaving the original dirt in place as you dig. This will make the step as solid as possible. The depth of this step is approximately half of the depth of your pond. This depth is also determined by the potted plants you plan on placing in the pond. Figure 1 represents digging out the pond using a 2x4 board with level on top to make sure the outside edge is level all around the perimeter. You need to raise low areas so the entire perimeter is the same height. Check the depth as you dig to make sure the bottom is level as well. Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3 Step 3. Figure 3 shows how to measure your pond to get the right sized liner. The big

A doll house

towards how he would look in society's eyes. He had previously said "when it counts, I have strength and courage enough as a man to take on the whole weight" (Ibsen 1129) of anything that would cause Nora harm. This is ironic because he fully intends to lay the blame on Nora, when she acted solely out of love. Also, when it came to firing Krogstad, Nora's opinion was not even consulted by Torvald as he was afraid of being judged by his co-workers for being "swayed by all kinds of outside pressure" (1129). Nora was only the wife, and her duties did not include input on any decisions. As Torvald was the owner of the home, and Nora was simply the doll, she was expected to be perfect and submissive to him. There are many references to Nora as his sky-lark or squirrel, that give the feeling that Nora is another child in this home. Her reaction to these names are not rejection, but acceptance, as she clearly believed she "can't get anywhere without (his) help" (1137)

English Language ( inglise keel)

English began as a west Germanic language which was brought to England by Saxons around 400AD. The spoken and written language between 400 and 1100AD is referred to as Old English. Many words used today come from Old English. English from 1300 to 1500 is known as Middle English. It was influenced by French and Ltin. Modern Englis was greatly influenced by English used in London and changed a great deal until the end of the 18th century. The standart English today in known as BBC English. Spelling and pronaunciation seem to be the most difficult aspects of the English language for foreign students. English is very rich in synonyms.
