Work or university?

Work or university? After finishing secondary school you can take two choices. Whether you are going to work or study at the university. Now I would like to talk about their positive and negative sides. Firstly, I'd like to speak about going to work. Many people after finishing secondary school are going to work. One reason for this is that people have different abilities. Not everybody is suitable for university. The second reason is that perhaps they don't want to spend a lot of time on academic education. They are interested in particular profession which doesn't need an academic degree and want to move on with their life. Positive sides are that people can earn money and grow up faster. Negative sides are that it's not easy to get a job if doesn't have an education

She has always had natural ability in the jumping events, sprinting and hurdles, and has steadily improved in the throwing events and 800 m and now has no weaknesses across the seven events. This is demonstrated by her finishing in the top six in all disciplines of the 2007 World Championship heptathlon. She is also normally a member of the Swedish 4 x 100 m relay team at international competitions, and was part of the team that set the national record. When she's not training or competing she is a student at the University of Växjö, studying Peace and Development. A person must suffer from the results of his own unwise actions

A person must suffer from the results of his own unwise actions. We all have responsibility for our actions. And everything we do wrong we are responsible for. And some major mistakes we make we have to be ready to be punished for it. If we make mistakes in our life then we have to be ready to suffer the consequences. Like if we leave the school without finishing it. Then we don't have the needed education and then we can't get so good jobs. Nowadays to get a good and well paid job you need a good education. And when we don't then we have to accept with something not so good. If we fail to do something that we have planned. Like when we fail an exam. Then our school results aren't so good, that all affects our future and our plans to go to colleges and universities. And when we don't achieve our goals,

The school holiday

the adventure games. You can go to the gym or run every day 5 km. I like to go hiking in the woods or just take a daytrip to a city where I have never been before. The other possibility is to go for a mental challenge, like learning new language, or reading an interesting book. It is good challenge to take a science or philosophy book, something that is not so easy to read so you can be proud of yourself after finishing it. It is also possible to learn new skills such as cooking or dancing or making yourself a short film or learn a new computer program. Some people find yourself a job for a holiday and earn money. Sometimes all it takes to feel challenged is just to do old things differently or meet new people. Any type of challenge is possible as you look to push yourself to new limits. So next time I will plan my holiday more carefully and make it to be a dream holiday, I will challenge

Choices after secondary school essay

Choices after secondary school Many young people decide to go to university after secondary school, while others think that going to work is a better decision. But what are the advantages of both options? There are many advantages that should be pointed out. To begin with, when one is applying to university, there are some tests that should be taken. After just finishing the secondary school, brain is capable of managing the pressure of learning and it is much easier to take the test right away. In addition, if the person knows what she/he wants to study, it would be a good idea to look for the best university and start taking the first steps forward, closer to the dream job. Although, going to university is extremely essential, some people tend to go to work after graduating from high school. If the ''perfect career'' search has not given any results, it is

Do live in the countryside or in the city? essay

There is usually something to do. You can watch movies in the cinema, visit bars, pubs, clubs, casinos and you can go shopping. If you have children you do not have to worry about lack of schools and kindergartens. In conclusion when you are a child there is no place better to grow up then a country home. In the far future I will definitely live in the countryside with my wife and children and have hectares of land. But now as I am finishing school and I am a bachelor I want to live in the city in an apartment.

Teamwork: the pros and cons

their work or situation more easier. There can be bad sides in teamwork like if somebody doesn't fit in with the others ,it can be disruptive and can undermine the work of the team and teams can stifle individual enterprise and initiative however when person working individually nobody can't tell him how to do it or is he doing it wrong.Individual worker is obviously the most capable, fast paced worker.Person don't have to wait on other people because when somebody is finishing work for long, when his project is completed. That is why it is good to work alone without lot of pressure from the others. I prefer working in team then individually because for me it is more easier to work as a team if I don't know much about gaven topic or if topic is suitable for me I can work individually but would like to stick to team than I can experience lot of new knowledge from others who are more smarter and creative.

The Picture of Dorian Gray

I read a book called ,,The Picture of Dorian Gray" by famous writer Oscar Wilde, this book was his only novel. In the London home of his aunt, Lady Brandon, the famous painter Basil Hallward encounters Dorian Gray. Dorian is a smart, wealthy, and impossibly gorgeous young man who immediately captures Basil's eye. Basil paints Dorian several times. When the book starts the artist is finishing his first portrait of Dorian as he truly sees him, but, as he admits to his companion Lord Henry Wotton, the painting frustrates him because it reveals too much of his feeling for his subject. Lord Henry, who enjoys scandalizing his friends by celebrating beauty, youth, and the selfish quest of satisfaction, disagrees, claiming that the portrait is perfect. Dorian arrives at the studio, and Basil hesitantly introduces him to Lord Henry, who he scares will have a harmful

Even so, it is unfair to say that schools which are situated in big towns are giving better education than the ones in small towns. Mostly, examination results are being compared, when making this kind of statistics. I truly believe that the only difference between schools is that some institutions just give better conditions for students. At the moment I am studying in Hugo Treffner Gymnasium and this school is highly valued in our country. After finishing the basic school, I knew that I would like to continue my studies in that school. The main reason was the fact that in Hugo Treffner Gymnasium it was possible to study social sciences extensively. The contest was hard to get in, but I had set a goal and I managed to fulfill my expectations. This school has given me better conditions to study the subjects which interest me. Still I think it is wrong to say that so called valued schools are essential for a good education

action movie there has to be a parent near to explain how actually things work or just not allow to watch movies related to violence. Lastly, if we would lower the rate of TV shows, series or movies that include violence it may have an affect on crime but it will more have bad concequences. We watch and enjoy that kind of entertainment every day to rest from stressful day. Often we get our adrenaline rush from there and it helps us from not being aggressive or violent after finishing with the movie. Also there are millions and millions of action fans who love seeing action but don´t do it themselves, but if violence will be forbidden from TV it can lead to even more worse crimes because of the big fans who can´t watch their favourite entertainment anymore. To conclude, in my opinion lowering TV and movie violence would not lead to fewer violent crimes. If a person is so stupid that he wants to commit crime after watching a

At first it seemed to me that it was just a random part of someones life. While reading the book I got often bored and couldn't understand what was so special about it and why it is so famous. After finishing the book my first impressioon was that I didn't like it. But I still could not get it out of my mind. What is the best age to be?

All ages have great and bad things. When you are a child your freedom is limited and it mostly depends on your parents´ mood at that time. Some examples like where you have to be home at 9.00pm and no TV until you´ve cleaned your room. Also then you have problems, but only the ones generated at school. Childhood has many responsibilities, some we like, some we have to do and some we despise. Responsibilities some of us enjoy doing is homework. We get a sense of pleasure after finishing a piece of work that we have done to the best of our ability. Cleaning our rooms is a responsibility we must do both for hygienic and ,if I don't I will get punished, reasons. A responsibility we despise doing is anything that clashes with our free/play time. These are just some of the things in childhood that we are responsible for. First ten years are full of joy and happiness and 10-20 there is 1st love, first date, first car.

Oliver Twist

I read a book called „Oliver Twist“ which is written by Charles Dickens. It was first published in 1837. The scenery of the book takes place in the 18th century England. The main character of the story is Oliver. The story starts with Oliver’s mother giving birth to Oliver and she herself dies after giving birth. No one knew who was Oliver’s father, so he grew up in a workhouse. In 8 years, he was moved to a different workhouse, because he was too old to keep living in the same one he lived in before. In the workhouse children have to work all day while they are starving. One day after finishing their food, some boys including Oliver decide to cast lots and whoever loses has to go and ask for more food. Oliver loses and he goes to ask, but gets denied and punished for asking for more food. Backyard Pond

over pond, centering it and placing stones around the edge. Start filling with water. As it fills, remove wrinkles and fold large creases into neat folds to be less noticeable. Step 5. After pond is filled, trim excess liner to within 12 inches of edge of pond, and place your coping material around edge to give it a natural finished look. We recommend large flat stones because they can overhang the pond edge slightly, and they look very natural. See Figure 2 above. Now your ready to add the finishing touches. This article covers the basics of how to install your own backyard pond. To finish the project you will need to investigate pumps, filters, plants and fish. Check out the 3 website links above for the specifics needed to have a pond that is exactly right for your area. I know from personal experience that the catalog from Lilypons is complete and informative. Enjoy your new water gardening hobby. Waterfall built next to pond with dirt from pond excavation

About myself

The songs of the Beatles give me much delight and pleasure. Besides, I am a great theatregoer. Whenever I have some time to spare, I go to the theatre. I'm not keen on television. Sometimes I play different sport games for health and pleasure. I usually play such games as volleyball, basketball, tennis, and sometimes football. And the last thing I would like to tell you about things I hope to achieve in my life are: to have a very successful career, so this year after finishing school I try to enter the University, to build the home of my dreams and to find someone in my life to share all that with.

A New Beginning

A NEW BEGINNING It was a dark and a silent night, when two young riders dressed within black rushed across the Devil`s Field. Suddenly one of them stopped and glanced at the moonless sky. His horse felt nervous, imitating the feelings of his rider. The other man seized his horse as well and looked at his companion in a curious way. After a minute or two spent in abnormal silence the first rider cried out as loud as he could: "Run!" The second man jumped off his horse and rushed to the forest that was waiting some meters ahead. But then he remembered about the other rider, but when he turned the Devil`s Field was empty. His companion was gone as well the horses. The man was seriously scared now, but since he was one of the Royal Solders fear was not allowed to be shown in public. So he drew his half-iron, half-silver sword and decided to go back to the field, but then he thought: "Alec told me to...

score of 48.4 (50 is the highest possible score) enlarging his margin of victory. His nearest competitor won the silver with a points total of 45.0, 3.4 behind White. 2011 After a sub-par performance in the Slopestyle, failing to reach the finals, White "redeemed" himself in the Superpipe. With an 89, he sat in second place going into his 2nd of three runs. He completed the run, landing his infamous Double McTwist 1260 and finishing with a score of 97.33 to take the lead and claim the historical 4th straight Gold in the Winter X Games, held in Aspen Colorado. The score tied an X Games record which was set by White one year before. His 3rd run was a simple victory run featuring mostly straight air. 2012 At Winter X, White became the first person to score a perfect 100 in the men's Snowboard Superpipe in the history of Winter X Games.

Diana, Walesi printsess (The Princess of Wales)

England and she was also a descendant of King James II of England through an illegitimate daughter. On her mother's side, Diana was Irish and Scottish. Diana's family had been close to the British Royal Family and Diana's maternal grandmother, Ruth, was a long-time friend to Queen Elizabeth. EDUCATION Diana was first educated at Norfolk, and after that at West Heath Girls' School, where she was regarded as a poor student. At the age of 16, she left West Heath and briefly attended a finishing school in Switzerland. At about that time, she first met her future husband, who was then dating her eldest sister, Lady Sarah. Diana was good at swimming and diving, and longed to be a professional ballerina with the Royal Ballet. She moved to London where she took an advanced cooking course, although she never became a cook, and worked as a dance instructor for youth, until a skiing accident caused her to miss three months of work

Agatha Christie - The Moving Finger

Riley as Megan and Emilia Fox as Joanna, as seen on previous pictures. My opinion: I enjoyed reading it, though I found it difficult to follow all the characters, they got mixed up a lot. But they were believable and the reader can relate to each one. I didn't like the stalling before the exciting parts, which were the murders and the revealing of the murderer. I often got bored and wanted to find another book to read but after finishing it I understood it was necessary in order to paint a clear image for the reader of all the different personalities and their behaviour. Because of the misunderstanding of the characters the ending took me by surprise. I didn't see a murderer in Mr Symmington, but I did see the love between Jerry and Megan coming. Although I didn't think Megan would refuse and that she had developed a mind of her own after all, taking

The Life-Changing Competition

I must go now" said Alice and ran off. Sheila waved and went to her band the Space Dolls. Matrix was standing, not even noticing Alice. When she was close enough, she jumped and climbed onto Mat's neck, so he automatically hugged her. When he realized what he was doing he laughed. So did the other Ravens, Daemon even clapping his hands. "Well, you two sure are close!" commented Faith, the drummer and the second vocalist. Alice let go of her brother and hugged one by one every band member, finishing with Daemon. Yet, his hug was the warmest, since she considered him her brother as well. Daemon, however, didn't feel the same...His feelings were deeper that is the reason why he hadn't chosen a girlfriend, even thought he was 22 and quite handsome: light- blue eyes, dark hair and slim figure. The only reason that kept his princess away from him was Matrix, a friend he never wanted to lose. Yet he knew "love" was something

For the final exercise we will play all three chords we have learned. Just as a quick note, when you play a group of chords in order it is called a `progression' or a `chord progression'. In this progression we will start with a G then change to the D before finally finishing with the A. You will notice in this exercise that the A is played for twice as long as both the D and the G. I have done this so you can count out in fours as you have done in the previous exercises.
