Art of Healing: present and future
Health is very important for people. They try to keep themselves healthy because otherwise they would feel miserable. People watch carefully what they eat and many go to regular check -ups. But still people get ill, even the healthiest people catch a cold sometimes. Nothing can prevent accidents to happen . The people who are ill or some kind of an accident has happened to them need help. Medicine is the science and art of healing. It is a science because it is based on knowledge gained through careful study and experimentation.
Medicine develops very quickly. Nowadays the doctors can do almost anything they want. Egyptian doctors began to specialize in 2500 B.C. At that time they were already quite skilful. When a man lost a limb there was a big possibility that he would lose too much blood and die or get a blood poisoning before that time. Now the doctors can help people who have been in very serious car accidents for example. They can even replace blood with blood substitutes for a short time until they find the right blood type for the patient for the blood transfusion. This can save many lives . There are very many different pills that help with smaller problems like a headache or a bad tooth.
Some people don’t trust doctors very much. They prefer to use alternative medicine with different smaller problems like rheumatism and arthritis. Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese therapy that involves inserting needles into the skin at specific points of the body . It is believed that a human body is comprised of two natural forces known as the yin and yang. The people believe that the cause of ailments and diseases is due to imbalance of these forces in the body. The aim of acupuncture is to re-establish the balance by using the needles at certain points of the body. Other known alternative medicines are massage, bathing and aromatherapy.
The medicine continues to develop . We watched a film called “The Island ”. It talked about a big group of people who were really clones of rich and famous people who lived in the real world. The clones thought that the outer world was almost destroyed and that there was only one beautiful island left where only chosen people were sent . When the famous person from the real world got madly hurt his clone was told that he would go to the island. In reality they took the clones organs that were inserted to the hurt celebrity.
My opinion is that this may be possible to do this kind of things in the year of 2018 but I don’t think they really will use anything similar to this method. It was very cruel and I’m sure the humankind would immediately protest against this thing . At the moment it is not allowed to clone people, I think it’s unrealistic that in 15 years ’ time things would really change so much.
Organs from dead people can be donated to people who need them to survive . The problem is that it is hard to find a suitable organ. I think that in the future they find a solution how to fit the organs into the patient’s body or the doctors are able to make reliable artificial organs and those who cannot be helped today can be helped in the future.
I am sure that the future will bring new opportunities to cure diseases that cannot be cured now. I believe and hope that scientist will find some kind of treatment for AIDS for the year 2020. I suppose that if a risky illness will start spreading the scientists will find cure against it quicker and the people will know exactly how to avoid catching a flu that is dangerous and how to react if you have the symptoms of that flu.
I imagine that the people will learn more about the dangerous infections and they will realize that it is important to go to regular check-ups and really keep your surroundings clean and tidy .

sleepy, less stressed out, or like their head is stuffed. Some people may use these drugs illegally to slow themselves down and help bring on sleep - especially after using various kinds of stimulants. (See below.) High - A high is the feeling that drug users want to get when they take drugs. There are many types of highs, including a very happy or spacey feeling or a feeling that a person has special powers, such as the ability to fly or to see into the future. Inhalant - An inhalant, such as glue or gasoline, is sniffed or "huffed" to give the user an immediate rush. Inhalants produce a quick feeling of being drunk - followed by sleepiness, staggering, dizziness, and confusion. Narcotic - A narcotic dulls the body's senses (leaving a person less aware and alert and feeling carefree) and relieves pain. Narcotics can cause a person to sleep, fall into a stupor, have convulsions, and even slip into a coma

Broadly speaking, the term refers to the fields of surgery, clinical medicine and medical research. Medical care consists of three main elements: 1) the diagnosis 2) the treatment of disease 3) the promotion of health and prevention of disease. First of all, every health problem requires a diagnosis. To identify the disease, doctors use tools and devices and ask the patients about their previous illnesses. Samples of blood and urine are sent to laboratories for analysis to determine the disease. Ultrasound scanners, X-ray machines etc. are used by doctors for necessary information for treatment. People usually recover from minor illnesses without special treatment. In serious cases a doctor may prescribe drugs, surgery or other treatment. In case of surgery a patient must go to the hospital where they receive around-the-clockcare from doctors, nurses and other skilled workers

Ifwewentroundthemoonitwouldnotmakeapennyworthofdifferencetome ortomywork.” I find that the most valuable contributions I make to each project always come from keeping just a few key usability principles in mind. I think there’s a lot more leverage for most people in understanding these principles than in another laundry list of specific do’s and don’ts. I’ve tried to boil down the few things I think everybody involved in design should know about usability. Not present at time of photo Just so you don’t waste your time looking for them, here are a few things you won’t find in this book: Hard and fast usability rules.I’ve been at this for a long time, long enough to know that there is no one “right” answer to most usability questions. Design is a complicated process and the real answer to most of the questions people ask me is “It depends.” But I do think that there

Libraries

Libraries. We know a lot of things thanks to books, but we do not know exactly when and where they originated, and what should be considered the first book in the world. Ancient document, written on parchment, papyri and vellum can hardly be qualified as books the way we understand the word today. Centuries went before paper replaced parchment and papyri. In the 15 th century Johann Gutenberg invented a mechanical process of duplicating texts, which we today call book printing. The first book was printed between 1444 and 1446, so these years can be considered as the beginning years of book printing. His most important preserved printings are the 40 copies of the Bible. By the end of the 15 th century there were about 1000 print-shops in Europe already. The oldest Estonian book dates back to 1535. Libraries form a vital part of education. They make available-through books, films, recordings and other media- knowledge that h
