(e.g. push-ups), you are strength training. Why do we need to develop muscles anyway? Muscles help to build metabolism, and as you grow older, you'll really need an increased metabolic rate to maintain your weight. Also, muscles help to prevent diseases, and improve balance. Ladies, don't think building muscles means you have to look like a body builder. You can maintain a healthy amount of muscle mass. Reduce Stress and Improve Moods: We now know exercise helps our physical health. What about our mental health? Anyone who exercises would tell you that it definitely reduces stress. Exercise is known to cause the release of a hormone that makes you feel more relaxed, and even increases your self esteem. Because of this hormone, people who exercise are usually in a better mood, have a higher energy level, and sleep better. Exercise usually helps people not only fall asleep, but helps to deepen sleep as well so we feel well rested during the day

Letter about my recent health problem

I had food poisoning. I got it when I visited Mexico. I ate something that probably caused it. I am not really sure what it was. I had to drink plenty of fluids and rest a lot. I was down with that poisioning for two days. On the third day I could finally turn back to my normal life and start eating again. That poisoning was very terrible. I felt extremely bad and mostly I was sad about ruining my vacation. For at least two days I couldn't enjoy Mexico. That is all for now. Let me know if your health is okay. I hope I'll hear from you soon. Love, Mari

Healthier than ever before!

Healthier than ever before! When I start thinking about healthy way of life, first thing that comes in my mind is cabbages and carrots. But healthy lifestyle contains more than that. Ofcourse it is very important to eat well, but in the same time it is essential to do diffrent kind of exercises and have basic knowledges about your body. Our grandmothers and grandfathers often complain, that we eat wrong sort of food, like hamburgers and french fries. But I think, it isn`t true. Yes, we eat hamburgers, but not every day. Me myself couldn`t eat a hamburger every day, I will get enough. It seems to me that younger generation appreciate a good work out more than ever more. We like to relax by doing exercises and fitting our body. It gives a lot of energy. In my opinion we are going to be a very healthy generation. Mari Saar.

Drugs and how they affect your health.

Drugs are chemicals that change the way a person's body works. You've probably heard that drugs are bad for you, but what does that mean and why are they bad? Medicines Are Legal Drugs If you've ever been sick and had to take medicine, you already know about one kind of drugs. Medicines are legal drugs, meaning doctors are allowed to prescribe them for patients, stores can sell them, and people are allowed to buy them. But it's not legal, or safe, for people to use these medicines any way they want. Cigarettes and Alcohol Cigarettes and alcohol are two other kinds of legal drugs. (In Estonia, adults 18 can buy cigarettes and alcohol.) But smoking and excessive drinking are not healthy for adults and off limits for kids. Nicotine is the drug in tobacco leaves. Whether someone smokes, chews, or sniffs tobacco, he or she is delivering nicotine to the brain. Each cigarette contains about 10 milligrams of nicotine. Nicotine is what keeps peo...

You what you eat

There are a great amount of opinions in the world. Firstly, from my point of view we could make certain of a man by his food preferences. Food would inform not only about man's favourite meals but also about his life. Moreover where and what does the man eat tell us about his resources. With regard to the national food could tell about nationality and religion. Secondly, man's nutrition demonstrates his relation to life because life depends directly on health in its turn health depends on nutrition. It follows that very important when man commits to healthy nutrition and keeps himself from obsessive habits. Furthermore, if man wants to be healthy, he has to control the amount of food to avoid diseases. On the other hand, food is a human need therefore we could not judge people by food preferences. This is so because people always change and their preferences too. In conclusion, undoubtedly if we know man's food preferences, we can say something about him

Healthy Lifestyle

A healthy diet involves consuming appropriate amounts of all nutrients, and an adequate amount of water. Nutrients can be obtained from many different foods, so there are a wide variety of diets that may be considered healthy diets. In most cases dieting is used in combination with physical exercise to lose weight in those who are overweight or obese. If you do not get regular exercise or a healthy diet, however, you may get overweight. Being overweight can have great effects on your health. It can increase risk of developing many health conditions. Such as gallbladder disease, heart disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), stroke and even cancer. So if you don't want to be at risk for any of these diseases it is advised you get regular exercise and eat accordingly. Another great way to lead a healthy lifestyle is to get enough rest. As students, we must go to sleep early. This is to prevent us from being tired the next day

When you just want to take a time out you can take a steam bath, a regular sauna or just relax in a bubble bath. To me jyri sports centre has only one disadvantage. That you have to pay for these things which the sports centre includes. I find this as a disadvantage because in these hard times I do not have the luxury to go swimming or visit the gym, but again what is the price for your health? My suggestion to end these high prices is to build another sports centre to jyri. So the current sports centre will have some competition and they have to lower the prices to keep their clients and then the old sports centre can be the average Joe's sports centre and the people will have more different hobbies and things to choose from if we had another sports centre. Letter of complaint

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to complaint about the Grange Health Spa, which I visited. I believe its service was inadequate. To start with, you promised that I will get a luxury suit, but I had really tiny room. Also you promised scenic countryside but I had no view. Moreover, you said that the price is all- inclusive but I had to pay for some things. For example I had to pay for my dinner. What is more, I was disappointed because you said that there are full range of health and diet programmes, but all guests ate the same food and we did not have any healty food at all. In conclusion, I am really disappointed with the Grange Health Spa. I look forward to receiving a prompt reply. Yours faithfully, xxx

Money is not the Most Important Thing in Life

On the other hand, many people claim that one of the factors in life, which is undoubtedly of greater importance than money health. It is said, health is 'a blessing that money cannot buy'. What is more, money is of little consolation to those who are suffering from health problems. Despite the fact that money can pay for the best medical care available, this is no guarantee for a longer life In addition, most people would agree that personal happiness easily outweighs money in

Cigarettes - Enemies or Friends?

Cigarettes Enemies Or Friends? A cigarette is distinguished from a cigar by its smaller size, use of processed leaf, and white paper wrapping. There are about 1.2 billion smokers in the world who are absolutely attracted to the cigarettes. As the new generation is growing up, the so-called "smoking-cult" is a normal matter and that enormous number of smokers is only increasing. But as a matter of fact smoking is just a bad habit and very dangerous for your health. So can we call cigarettes our friends? Most countries in the world have a legal smoking age of 18. That means that when you are not and adult you should not smoke or consume any products related to tobacco and cigarettes. But if to look into our street picture, there are seen so many under age smokers that it is really threatening. It all starts from the home how you have been raised, how strict were the rules a child had to follow and how much did your parents trust you

Formal letter about holiday

the internet. Me and my friends are very interested in Sweden and would like to go on this holiday but we would like to ask some more things about the trip. Firstly, i would like to get some more information about the hotels and the cities we are going to visit. I was also wondering if there's going to be a tour guide to talk about the history of Sweden. Could you tell me more about these things? Secondly, I am a little bit worried about my health. Could you send me information about the diseases and health risks in this country, just in case. And i was also wondering if the health insurance is included? I would also like to know if pets are allowed in the hotels as my friend is having dog allergy. Thirdly, it's said that the price includes everything except the museums. Could you possibly tell me how much money is needed for these museums and are they obligatory? We would also like to buy some souvenirs if possible.

The pros and cons of keeping fit

Firstly, exercising is really good for health and it also gives more energy and makes less lazy. Secondly, exercising helps to stenght muscles and bones so you will have a strong and good-looking body. It helps to feel more self-confident and open to people. Also exercising with friends can be really interesting and enjoyable. However, there are some disadvantages of keeping fit. Some people are too obsessed about their weight and when they over exercise, it's really bad for health. Their body will be too skinny, which isn't beautiful at all. Another disadvantage is the cost of it. You will have to buy equipment, clothing and club membership and they aren't cheap.
