Helping the environment

Reccomendations Firstly, I would like to suggest to reduce paper. For example send more emails or if the printing is really nessesary use both sided of the paper. Secondly I reccomend tuning computers off at the end of the day to ignore wasting energy. Tirdly I belive we should recycle more in our school. We could get tree types of trashcans: one of bottles and cans, one for paper and one for trash. Conclusion In conclusion, the studnts pointed out some useful remarks that could be changed to help the environment on our school. In my mind paper should not be wasted, it should be reduced. Also bower should be tured off at night to use les energy. Trashcans would be grate to prevent littering and improve recycling. I strongly belive my reccomendations could hep the environment and make our school better.

My Teacher

My teacher There are many teachers in the World, but no such else have I seen as I have now. When furious, her eyes have a poisonous flame of danger in it; when glad, her silent praise is like the soft wind of pleasing sakuras. Every day we spend no matter the emotional appearance, is filled with lots of happy laughter and fun remarks no other teacher even notices about her students: my teacher is a really special, yet mysterious person. Her light eyes turn grey on rainy days, blue on sunny ones; sweet dimples decorate her blushing cheeks when she smiles; a little piped pink lips with big soft edges make her complexion sparkle every moment they say something she would be perfect if her character wasn't so ill-natured sometimes. She gets angry too easily:

Getting physical

This walking movement brings you closer to the audience, provides visual variety for them, and is also a physical way to signal a relaxed transition from one point to the next. Walking techniques help insert your whole body into your presentation and can be developed with a little practice. It requires good timing and must be practiced carefully so that it looks natural, but it can be an effective way to use your body to punctuate and underscore your remarks. THE LECTERN AND MICROPHONE The average speaker ascends a dais, moves to the lectern, taps or adjusts the microphone, clears the throat, and then remains rooted there for the rest of his or her presentation. In contrast, the person who wishes to be above average will do the following: · Before the audience arrives, inspect the room to assure everything is in place: lectern, microphone, and any other audiovisual equipment that you'll need.

Eclipse,Chapter Fifteen – Wager, kokkuvõte

" Bella feels uncomfortable, especially when Jacob affectionately touches and caresses her. She asks him to behave himself, but Jacob replies that she'll have to take him or leave him the way he is, since he will not change his behavior claiming Edward is no longer her whole life. He wants Bella to understand that Edward isn't her only choice. Jacob suddenly turns serious, taking Bella's chin in his hand. He tells her he's not going to stop fighting until her heart stops beating. Bella remarks that her time as a human is limited, which causes Jacob to become yet even more serious. He declares this is only more motivation for him to fight, "fight harder now, while I can." Jacob kisses her angrily and aggressively, and Bella fights back without success. After realizing that her efforts are useless, she shuts herself down and stands still as a statue, hoping this will finally stop him. And it works. He pulls away, smiles and shuts his eyes, and after

E.Hemingway

Moreover, she refuses to commit to any one man, preferring ultimate independence. However, her independence does not make her happy. She frequently complains to Jake about how miserable she is--her life, she claims, is aimless and unsatisfying. Her wandering from relationship to relationship parallels Jake and his friends' wandering from bar to bar. Although she will not commit to any one man, she seems uncomfortable being by herself. As Jake remarks, "She can't go anywhere alone." Indeed, there are several misogynist strains in Hemingway's representation of Brett. For instance, she disrupts relationships between men with her very presence. It seems that, in Hemingway's view, a liberated woman is necessarily a corrupting, dangerous force for men. Brett represents a threat to Pedro Romero and his career--she believes that her own strength and independence will eventually spoil Romero's strength and independence

unperfectness seems to annoy her, as well as the fact that there are people around her, that take interest in her, even though she is portrayed in the book as an empty, emotionless doll, with a threetrack mind : ,,Edward",,"Edward's toned chest" ,,Charlie's dinner every once in a while" (thank god for the last one!) Nothing else really seems to interest her. I liked her in the first chapter, especially her witty, sarcastic jokes, remarks and observations, which gave the character a great potential to develop, but eventually it failed miserably. And yet, everyone seems to like Bella, including the ohsodesirable male vampire, who never in his immortal life has loved another human being before. It is somewhat understood, why Bella loves Edward he is hot (even though his hotness is quite useless in their relationship, since it was repeatedly stated, that they could never get intimate) but the way Edward's love

’Anita and Me’ by Meera Syal

BOOK REPORT Title & author of the book: 'Anita and Me' by Meera Syal The setting of the book? The story resolves around Meena Syal, the daughter of the only Punjabi family in the Midlands' mining village of Tollington. The novel provides a vision of British childhood in the 1960s, a childhood caught between two cultures, each on the brink of enormous change. Meena is desperate to fit in with the other children in her neighbourhood while forever feeling like an outsider because she is "different". Eventhough the Punjabi family is well respected by the locals, there are still sutations when they have to deal with racism. Plot summary (NB! Use the present tenses) Anita and Me by Meera Syal is the story of a young Punjabi girl growing up in the fictional English village of Tollington in the Midlands in the 1960s. The book follows Meena during her pre-teen years as she is desperate to fit in ...

Among the assembled guests is a young officer of engineers, Hermann, who is of German origin, and who never gambles, but observes the play keenly. E.M.Remarque "Läänerindel Muutuseta"

Kantorek, the teacher who filled his students' heads with passionate rhetoric about duty and glory, serves as a punching bag as Remarque argues against those ideals. Though a modern context is essential to the indictment of Kantorek's patriotism and nationalism, Kantorek's physical description groups him with premodern evil characters. The fierce and pompous Kantorek is a small man described as "energetic and uncompromising," characteristics that recall the worried Caesar's remarks about Cassius in Shakespeare's Julius Caesar: "Yon Cassius has a lean and hungry look. / He thinks too much. Such men are dangerous" (I.ii.195196). Napoleon also springs to mind as a historical model for Kantorek. The inclusion of a seemingly anachronistic literary type--the scheming or dangerous diminutive man--may seem out of place in a modern novel. Yet this quality of Kantorek arguably reflects the espousal of dated ideas by an older generation of leaders who betray

Jumalaema kirik Pariisis - V.Hugo

By a slow process, the "irresistible raising" of the ground level has swallowed up the cathedral's once-visible foundation. But the various traces of destruction that still scar its facade were mostly the work of men. During the French Revolution, a large part of the cathedral was ransacked by opponents of the monarchy. Consequently, by the time of the novel, the facade had lost an innumerable amount of statues and even a flight of eleven steps leading to the front entrance. As the narrator remarks: "Time is blind, man stupid." As a result, Notre Dame does not belong to a particular architectural class. It is neither Roman nor Gothic. Its ancient doorway and the round pillars are separated by six centuries, meaning that all the churches of France, both new and ancient, are blended and amalgamated in the mother-church of Notre Dame. After presenting Notre Dame in its social, cultural, and historical context, the narrator situates the cathedral against the backdrop of medieval Paris

demograafilise olukorraga. Probleemidena nimetab IMF madalat tootlikkuse kasvu (v.a. elektroonikasektor) ja kõrget struktuurset tööpuudust. Kuna traditsioonilistes sektoris on kasv toimunud eelkõige senise tööjõu suurema ärakasutamise kaudu, siis struktuurne tööpuudus lõikab selle kasvuteguri ära ja ohustab selle kaudu pikemas perspektiivis ka kogu majanduskasvu jätkumist ( IMF. with modern norms of secular governance and human rights. Its supporters say that there are multiple ways to read Islam's sacred texts, and stress the need to leave room for "independent thought on religious matters". In modern times Islam has come under criticism from idealogues such as Ibn Warraq who criticize Islamic law and question the morality of the Qur'an; for example, they say that its contents justify mistreatment of women and encourage antisemitic remarks by Muslim theologians;such claims are disputed by Muslim scholars. Montgomery Watt, Norman Daniel, and Edward Said dismiss many of the criticisms as the product of old myths and medieval European polemics. The rise of Islamophobia, according to Carl Ernst, had contributed to the negative views about Islam and Muslims in the West. The word “since” indicates the premises which are claimed to support the conclusion. Other premise(s) indicators include: - because - for - given that - as - for the reason that - may be inferred from - follows from - etc. Two remarks on indicators: 1. The occurence of an indicator does not suffice. We need to find also an inferential relationship. a. Since yesterday, it did not stop raining (temporal meaning) b. Since it is raining, I will take my umbrella (logical meaning) 2. Sometimes, there are no indicators. It is then necessary to inquire the implicit inferential relationshio between the statements in order to identify what statement follows from the other(s).

The characteristic features enumerated above do not cover all the peculiarities of scientific prose, but they are the most essential ones. 20. LANGUAGE OF THE DRAMA The language of plays is entirely dialogue. It is not the exact reproduction of the norms of colloquial language, although the playwright seeks to reproduce actual conversation as far as the norms of the written language will allow. Here the author's speech is almost entirely excluded (), except for the playwright's remarks and stage directions. The language is usually stylized (), that is, it strives to retain the modus of literary English, unless the playwright has a particular aim which requires the use of non-literary forms and expressions. The 16th century plays are mostly written in iambic pentameter, rhymed or unrhymed. The plays of this period were justly called dramatic poetry

and his wife's public image, although he believes that Anna is above suspicion. Vronsky, a keen horseman, takes part in a steeplechase event, during which he rides his mare Frou-Frou too hard and she falls and breaks her back. Vronsky escapes with minimal injuries but is devastated that his mare must be shot. Anna tells him that she is pregnant with his child, and is unable to hide her distress when Vronsky falls from the racehorse. Karenin is also present at the races and remarks to her that her behaviour is improper. Anna, in a state of extreme distress and emotion, confesses her affair to her husband. Karenin asks her to break off the affair to avoid society gossip and believes that their relationship can then continue as previously. Kitty goes with her mother to a resort at a German spa to recover from her ill health. There they meet the Pietist Madame Stahl and the saintly Varenka, her adopted daughter.

Jane Austen

" Lydia declared herself satisfied. "Oh! yes--it would be much better to wait till Jane was well, and by that time most likely Captain Carter would be at Meryton again. And when you have given your ball," she added, "I shall insist on their giving one also. I shall tell Colonel Forster it will be quite a shame if he does not." Mrs. Bennet and her daughters then departed, and Elizabeth returned instantly to Jane, leaving her own and her relations' behaviour to the remarks of the two ladies and Mr. Darcy; the latter of whom, however, could not be prevailed on to join in their censure of her, in spite of all Miss Bingley's witticisms on fine eyes. Chapter 10 The day passed much as the day before had done. Mrs. Hurst and Miss Bingley had spent some hours of the morning with the invalid, who continued, though slowly, to mend; and in the evening Elizabeth joined their party in the drawing-room. Konteinerveod

VI peatükk 6. Konteinerveod Konteiner ei ole mingi uus leiutis. Jutt on teatud tüüpi kauba veol kasutatavast kastist. Võrreldes hariliku kastiga on konteiner varustatud lisaseadmetega, mis võimaldavad konteinerit kasutada ajutise laona. Konteinerite ajalugu sai alguse II maailmasõja ajal kui ameeriklased hakkasid teatud mõõtmetega kaste kasutama varustuse toimetamisel sõjatandrile. Hiljem hakati konteinerite mõõtmeid standardiseerima. Esialgu tegeles sellega ASA (American Standardisation Association), hiljem ISO (International Standardisation Organization). Konteinerite liigitus ja mtmed ISO liigitab rahvusvahelistes vedudes kasutatavad konteinerid 1. seeriasse, mida vastavalt pikkusele märgitakse: 1A 40 jalga (12,19 m) 1D 10 jalga (3,05 m) 1B 30 jalga (9,14 m) 1E 6 2/3 jalga (2,03 m) 1C 20 jalga (6,10 m) 1F 5 jalga (1,52 m) Praktilises kasutuses on ülalmainitutest ainult 20- ja 40-jalased. 2. seeria kont...

five kittens, of which, later on, I bought two; a male and female. These Siamese cats had coats of extremely fine quality texture, and colour, and very good head and body shape, splendid long whip-like tails, but with eyes which definitely failed in colour according to our standards here in England. They appear to be hazel, whereas there is no doubt that we have enormously improved the eye colour and have cats with beautiful deep blue eyes." Major Walton’s remarks to France about the Siamese cats of the Royal Palaces were also mentioned in an issue of "Cats and Kittens" magazine, of which France was editor. This prompted the following letter from Mr. A. N. M. Garry of Minehead, Somerset: "My wife and I are ardent cat lovers, and having spent most of my working life in Borneo, I feel I have some justification for writing to you about Siam and its cats.
