  • Fat Margareta - 16. Cent . Tallinn's most impressive defensive structures , the Great Coastal Gate (Suur Rannavärav) and Fat Margaret 's Tower. They were built not only to defend the city from the seaward side of town, but also to impress any visitors arriving via the harbour. Fat Margareta used to be a prison . It is a town wall ’s building . Now it's home to the Estonian Maritime Museum , which provides a detailed look at the nation 's seafaring past.
  • The Great Coastal Gate - with the Viru Gates , are the last of six gates that controlled access to the town in Medieval times .
  • Kolm Õde - a hotel . In 2003, three of Tallinn’s splendid merchant houses , built in 1362, were renovated and united to create The Three Sisters, which now offers modern amenities with great design and a backdrop of medieval history.
  • Oleviste church – baptism. Believed to have been built in the 12th century and to have been the centre for old Tallinn's Scandinavian community prior to the conquest of Tallinn by Denmark in 1219. A legend tells that the builder of the church, named Olaf , upon its completion, fell to his death from atop the tower. It is said that when his body hit the ground , a snake and a toad crawled out of his mouth.
  • Blackhead’s house Pikk tn 26 - Reneissance, 14. cent. It is the house of the brotherhood. It used to unite single young  and foreign merchants.
  • Kanuti Gild - 13.cent. It is a union of german craftsmen in Tallinn. Its was at it’s best 16 cent. Above the door is the founder of the union, king Knut
  • Suurgildi hoone - gothics. Belonged to Tallinn’s Suurgildile, where were the town’s most powerful and richest merchants. Hoone Ehitus kestis 1407– 1410 , siseviimistlus lõpetati 1417.
  • Holy ghost church - 14. Century. One of Tallinn's oldest churches, and the only sacred building that preserved its original form.and still retains its original exterior, except for the Baroque spire. The clock in northern side is one of the oldest in Tallinn and though it has been blanched with rain and window , the clock strick the time exactly. It has a Baroque wooden carvings, made by Christian Ackermann.
  • Saiakäik (White Bread passage) suubub raekoja platsile
    Raekoda mainitakse esimest korda 1322, säilinud hoone valmis 1404. Raeapteek - mainitakse 1. korda 1422. Raekoja platsile suubuvad tänavad: Vanaturu kael , Kullassepa , Dunkri, Voorimehe, Kinga, Mündi, Saiakäik, Apteegi.
    Raekoja torn ehitati koos raekojaga aastatel 1402 -1404. 1530 . aastal asetati torni tippu tuulelipp, millele rahvas andis nimeks Vana Toomas. The Town Hall was established on the central square , probably at the beginning of 13th century. The second floor - the main floor, where the Citizen `s Hall, the Council Hall, a small kitchen and chancery are located and where festive receptions and concerts are held , just as they were in the Medieval days . The three-nave cellar hall is open to citizens and guests today as an exhibit hall.The weathervane at the top of the tallest tower of the Town Hall is called *Vana Toomas* (Old Thomas ). This funny man with big mustache is the famous symbol of Tallinn city.
  • Ukraine -Greek - Laboratooriumi 22(17.saj aidahoones), Catholic . The congregation was created in 17 cent. Next to the city wall. Pjotr Gumenjuki iconostas. The royal gates have 4 evangelists. Tänaseni säilinud ilme ümberehitusest 1894 Oleviste kiriku leerisaaliks neogooti stiil. Alates 1998 ukraina koguduse käsutuses. Kirik on pühitsetud Kolmekäelisele Jumalaemale, kes kaitseb süütuid. Kolmas käsi kuulus Damaskuse Johannesele, kellelt raiuti parem käsi ära ikoonide maalimise pärast.

  • Horse mill ehk treadmill - The Horse Mill, situated in the end of Lai Street , has been used as a theatre venue since 2003. It was built in the 14th Century and has an unusual circular shape . During the first centuries the building was used for grinding grain, and later for storage . Unique building, there are no other horse(tread) mills in Baltic countries. 16-meetrise läbimõõduga. Veski leidis esmakordselt mainimist 1379. aastal. Hoonet kasutati algselt jahu jahvatamiseks juhul, kui linna piirati või kui vesiveskid veepuudusel seisid . Veski mehhanisme ajasid ringi kaheksa hobust korraga, keda rakendati paaridena nelja veotiisli ette. Hobused käisid hoone sees ringi, sellest ilmselt tulenes ka hoone sõõrjas põhiplaan. Nüüdseks ei ole seal jahu jahvatatud juba rohkem kui kakssada aastat.
  • Maiasmokk -vanim kohvik , pikk tn 16. The Maiasmokk cafe offers a wide variety of bakery products made at the cafe as well as handmade exclusive chocolate candies and marzipan figurines. The rooms of the cafe also house Kalev marzipan museum, where visitors can become acquainted with the history of marzipan and observe the work of marzipan master. Visitors can also purchase chocolate sweets and marzipan figurines from there.

    Introduction Tallinn, the capital city of the Republic of Estonia and of the Harju county, is a town in North Estonia on the coast of the Gulf of Finland.     2 Towns (Upper & Lower Town) Tallinn used to be divided into 2 parts - Upper Town where lived the aristocracy, gentry and the clergy; and Lower Town with traders, craftsmen and merchants. Legend says the Toompea Hill is actually the tumulus mound of the great Kalev. Linda carried rocks to his grave. It is a naturally- formed limestone hill. Lower Town was a merchantile centre, Tallinn also belonged to the Hansaetic League (1285). It is often referred to as the town of citizens.     Old Market square (Vanaturg) is the former market square in Tallinn old town. Five streets meet here: Vene, Viru, Suur Karja and Kuninga streets, and Vana Turu Kael sidestreet.
