Theatre: Theatre as compared to film and literature

Theatre: Theatre as compared to film and literature Im going to compare theatre to film and literature. There are some seally big differences between thatre and film or literature. Firstly the main difference between literature and theatre is that if you read a book, you have to imagine the whole image in your head and thus everybody sees one thing differently, but in theatre you have a real live picture in front of you. Also in books the feelings, thoughts and emotions are described better than in theatre performances. Secondly, in theatre performances you can only see one stage and one place but in movies the situations are depicted in various places, for example on streets and other places, which can

Theatre NO99 I chose to write about this theatre because I like it the most. It is the most modern theatre I think and the plays are also most startling and astonishing, compare to other theatres in Estonia. It began to operate in February 2005, so it is one of the youngest theatres in Estonia. Probably that's why it is very different from the others and its repertoire is more contemporary then classical. Estonian National Opera Pavel Kornev 9B Tallinn 2009 The National Opera "Estonia" was founded in 1906. Till 1949 the theatre staged both drama and musical productions. In the 1920s its opera and ballet troupes became separate entities; in every genre the theatre was then regarded as the leading one in the country. Its new house opened in 1913. It was the biggest and most imposing of the theatre buildings in Estonia. In World War II its building was bombed, but it was restored more or less in its former shape in 1947. Finished topic- mass media

During the years, the importance of computers and internet has grown rapidly. Some people predict that this may mean the end of the printed word as a means of communication. The biggest advantage is that internet is the quickest way to do everyday activities, like reading the latest news, searching for information, listening to music, watching films and TV series and online shopping. One of the oldest type of entertainment is the theatre. It is a word taken from the Ancient Greeks. It means Seeing Place. A typical stage-play depends on 3 things: actions seen, words spoken and people watching and listening. The first theatres were built by the ancient Greeks. They were outdoors. There were no plays. Songs sung by a chorus told stories about gods. There were also dances. Today the interior of a modern theatre looks different. The two main parts of a modern theatre are the stage and the hall

Muusikal "Aida"

Etendamislugu Aidat esitati esimest korda 1. aprillil 1996 Disney kompanii juhtidele New Yorgi teatris New Amsterdam Theatre, mille Disney kompanii ostis ja renoveeris. 1998. aasta alguseks leiti uus nimi Elaborate Lives. Lavastajaks oli määratud Robert Jess Roth ja koreograafiks Matt West

Comparison of Education in Britain and Estonia

Technology. While in the first half of secondary school all pupils must study the same subjects, in the second half of secondary level and especially in the Sixth Form, more options are available for the British students when compared to students in Estonia. In the Sixth Form, they only have to choose 3 compulsory subjects with a vast range of extra subjects offered by the school like Economics, Food Technology, Government and Politics, Photography, Psychology and Theatre Studies. Several Gymnasiums in Estonia also give their students the chance to choose some of their subjects from a selection of facultative subjects but there are by far more than 3 compulsory subjects for Estonian Gymnasium students than for the Sixth Form students in Britain. Lastly, schools in Britain seem to offer more facilities than in Estonia. Our schools usually do not have tennis and squash courts or football and hockey fields of their own. In addition,
