My Magna Carta.
When I first started my own Magna Carta, I thought what's the most near heart and important to me. I chose two main topics, what I find important and relevant . I'm sure that I'm not the onl one who thinks like that.
The first thing I would do, is forbid bullying . What is bullying? Bullying is the use of force , threat or duress to abuse, terrorize or aggressively dominate others . There are different types of victims. One of those is the one that ignores all the hate and insulting what comes at him/her. The other one takes it all by heart and seriously. Words can hurt , a lot. Most of the people don't realize what are they causing the victim, when bullying him/her. The worse cause that bullying can cause, is suicide . There is 7% of young people who attempt suicide every year . Nearly 30% of students don't go to school, because they don't want to get bullied. Also one of the worse causes is self-harming. Those, who do self-harm, find it releasing. How do I recognize a bullying victim? The victim is often sad, he/she keeps distance from the others, he's/she's anxious, they have conflicts with their classmates, friends or even family. I have my own experience on bullying. I got bullied for about 4 years , until I changed school. I had a lot of mental break-downs, I used to think about suicide, I used to self-harm (just that one time), I cried myself to sleep several nights. The wors thing I did, was that I kept the most of things inside me. I didn't say anyone what was happening to me. The most important thing is to tell maybe your best friend, or mom, or teacher what's going on and I'm sure they can help. But also it has one consequence what would probably last for their entire life: because of the bullying in the past, they might have low self-esteem. That makes them think about everything they do. They're insecure and they think that something is wrong with the way they act or look all the time. People need to stop bulling to make the world a better place .
The second thing I would do is lessen homework . Teachers give us homework in 5 days of the week. If we want to suceed then we have no choice to do homework. But sometimes we get too much of it. We don't have the strenght or skills to do them. What does it cause? It causes us a lot of stress and anxiety . It effects us in many ways. For example students might be unable to sleep. Studying and thinking about a lot of things makes our brain to wake up and when we suddenly go to bed to have some sleep, then our brain don't let us to. Also students have more difficulty concentrating on their studies. Their thoughts might jump around places that they shouldn't be jumping in, during the study . They might feel ultimate tiredness at that time, when they need to be alert to study. That's bad for their final scores and also for their mental health.
Those points are important to me and other students also. Those should be changed for the brighter future of the teenagers and children .
