Teenagers

I chose this topic because I really like to discuss about the life of a teenage girls and what is it really about? And why only girls? The answer is close to why scientists investigate the big mysterios space. We all want to know the secret of infinite mystery. And why only girls? That part is actually quite easy, Cause every teenage girl edventually will come to that point of her little teenage life where they just get sick of boys. I think girls are pretty much the biggest question to all teenagers and why just to teenagers? Answer to that question you will get while growing up. Well at least I think so. And now some more specifics about teenage girls. There are all kind of teenage girls. Well, for exempel the ones who think that being a teenage girl is all about boys, drugs and alcohol, then there are ofcourse those sissy girls and neards, plus there are the ones who live THE most boring life, by the school, home, school, home routine. What are the best ways to prevent teenagers from committing crimes

What are the best ways to prevent teenagers from committing crimes Nowadays there are many reasons why teenagers could be influenced into committing crimes. A lack of life experience can lead teenagers into criminal and even dangerous situations, such as robbery, taking drugs or drinking alcohol. I think, there are many ways to prevent teenagers from committing crimes. Firstly, I think, that teenagers lifestyle is their parents responsibility. Parents have to teach teenagers how to control their anger. Also it shouldn't be allowed for teenagers to watch cruel movies with violence. Moreover there are different programs, which help teenagers to use communication as a mean of handle conflicts, arguments and misunderstandings. Also there should be special lessons at school, which will help student to overcome with their problems. In conclusion I want to say, that there are many ways how to prevent teenagers from committing crimes

Friends have more Influence than Family on Teenagers

Friends have more Influence than Family on Teenagers Human interaction plays a vital role in our existence. It isn't abnormal for people to learn from each other or act according to the social norm set by others. In their teens, people begin to form strong connections with other individuals their own age this may inherently play a role in how we act. The connection made between friends is usually much stronger than between family members. With teens, there is always a `rebellious' factor in play, which may make them adapt certain

The advantages and disadvantages of getting some work experience as a teenager.

The advantages and disadvantages of getting some work experience as a teenager. Many teenagers want to have their pocket money, but to work at this age they can not, because to go to school. Teenagers age and there fore they can not find a good job. Especially for teenagers were invented volunteer work, where they could work and earn money for themselves. But in volunteer work are the advantages and disadvantages. Firstly the first advantage is that teenagers can earn money by doing, so they can afford do buy what they want. For example a girl can buy a dress that has long wanted, but buy can buy new shoes. The second advantage is that the teenager did not come to work full day, and he could see his friends. The third advantage is that teenagers can go to work in another country. But all is not well. Friends have more influence than family

Mikk Ludvi 10.a Parents always want best for their children. However when people are teenager they don't want their parent's advises or opinions .In this period the most important thing in young adults life is being popular, having more friend, more parties or more fun. For them parents are only bar to achieve that. Parents don't influence their children and they don't understand each other. Therefore I think teenagers are influenced by their friends more than their parents. Teenagers can get along well with their peers easily because they have same expectations about life. In school, in their social life they always with their friends. They can understand each other because they have same viewpoýnt and same experiences. For example, when you have a boyfriend you can't share it with your father easily because he tries to protect you. Probably he said that you are too young or you should be careful

The Fear of Choosing The Wrong Major in University

The Fear of Choosing The Wrong Major in University People have to make a lot of choices throughout their lifetime. One of the biggest choices a person has to make is to choose what they are going to study after high school. Many students decide to acquire vocational education and they have to choose which profession to pursue, whether it be, for example, learning to become a technician or a hairdresser. However, a bigger majority of teenagers decide to go to university. But before doing so, teenagers have to be certain what kind of study program they will be taking. This puts young people under a lot of stress, because they have a lot of doubt and fear. For example, over the years, there has been an increase of people, who have decided to study Information Technology in University, including myself. The increase has been due to the immense labor shortage in Estonia and the high salaries students will be earning after university

To: Ms Maire Liidlein From: Kerli Neljas Date: 16th December Subject: Recommendation report about Haapsalu Introduction Haapsalu is a small, friendly and romantic town is a real summer paradise and in summer a lot of holidaymakers visit this. They come for the warm seawater, curative mud, peacefulness. A lot of people visit the resort every summer, there are many different ways to spent time there, both for tourists and locals. Old Town of Haapsalu and museums People who are interested in culture and history can visit the Old Town and museums. For example the Estonian Railway Museum, the Episcopal Castle Museum, the Läänemaa Museum and others. I think that the city itself is one of the greatest historical places. Nobody can talk about the history of Haapsalu better than the city itself. And visiting museums is a good for acquiring new knowledge, but those people who do not love history, may get bored. And all museums are located relativ...

People these days are thinking less and drinking more

"People these days are thinking less and drinking more'' Nowadays, alcoholism is rising and this is a big problem not only amongst teenagers but also amongst adults. When there is a problem or a difficult situation people do not think how can they solve it. They think, "Where is my bottle of vodka?'' There are several possible solutions to this problem. What clearly needs to be done is to encourage people to handle their problems without using alcohol. Firstly, we have to teach them that thinking clearly is more effective than thinking with an alcohol bottle. Secondly, we should tell them that they have got supportive friends

What can be done to prevent petty crime?

What can be done to prevent petty crime? Nowadays more and more young people have started comit petty crime and people believe that thouse can be prevented. I support this view for a variety of reasons. To start with petty crime can be prevented with teenagers, the problematical ones in particular should participate to educational courses organised by the state where they can learn everything about these petty crimes an also how to avoid getting in the middle of them. It is very important to organise this meetings in the poor districts where teenagers are prone to ilicit activities such as pickpocketing or even burglery. Another method of reducing petty crime is that the people should learn how to protect their houses and their valuable goods

Using smartphones at school Smartphones are one of the most important things to teenagers. They can not even leave home without having a smartphone in their pocket. Teenagers are using smartphones all the time no matter the place. Smartphones can also be very useful too when the time and place is right. Should teenagers use smartphones at school? At school student should be focusing on studying. Instead of doing that students are using their smartphones class and not paying attentoin to teacher who is trying to educate them. A lot of knowledge is getting lost because of the smartphones. This can lead to bad grades or even dropping out of school

Fashion

After all, there is no limit to fashion, this opens a huge scope for imagination of their fragile minds. In fact, fashion is not what it seems. Youth imitates their idols, copy the actions of others . The beauty of the person has been spoken about for many centuries . But with the beginning of a new century, the concept of beauty has changed in the other direction. Celebrities and their visual fashion statements affect the fashion industry and also the clothes of teenagers. “Researchers say that many teenagers are emulating celebrity idols like Mischa Barton, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, and Chris Martin (the singer of Coldplay), some scarcely out of their teens themselves, to cultivate an impression of maturity” Young people and fashion occupy an important place in modern society. Both of these concepts are quite complex and interesting to explore, and they both are components of the culture as a whole. Fashion today permeates all spheres of life

Review "THE CATCHER IN THE RYE"

D. Salinger Book is read. I'm very pleased to report that I joined the group of people who have already read "The catcher in the rye". Many people have mentioned this story in some conversations and lots of quotes in Internet contain "J.D.Salinder" in the end of it, therefore I was really excited when we decided to read this book as a part of our English lesson course. It was very good way for English skills practice and also self- liberalizing. I think many teenagers would be able to relate the book to the actual themes - it's a modern classic of today. Every teeneager has had once felt himself sort of depressed and upset. It is absolutely normal state for identity formation. We mature, we become adults, we revise our values and are feeling really unusual sometimes. Lots of times I have caught myself thinking that I'd already felt something like this before... Lots of moments in this book were really similar to some periods of my life

Friends have more influence than family

Friends have more influence than family A lot of peole think, that teenagers care more about their friends than family. Some in the other hand, don't. But why do people even think, that teenagers have more influence than family? For sure, children love their parents and parents love them. Family always wants the best for the child and every child should appreciate that. Parents can always help the child, for example when the child is making wrong decisions in life. Parents know you the best, and in my mind, it's necessary to have you family influence the most. In the other hand, friends, who are at the same age and who are giving you

Marijuana Facts For Teens Marijuana is one of the most popular drugs among teenagers because most teens don't consider it to be harmful. This idea that marijuana is harmless is a very common misconception among teens. Teens use marijuana because it is a great way to relax and just chill out with friends, but most teens aren't aware of the risks associated with marijuana use. Teens may think that marijuana isn't dangerous because it's not a "hard" drug like cocaine or heroin, but what they don't know is that marijuana has its own set of dangers.

A lot of people spend their time at home using a computer, when people start doing it in schools too, they are going to be blind soon, because it affects your eyes. People should really think about their future more. I understand if you are doing some schoolworks on the computer, but definitely not all of those.

Stress of the Young people Today

Teachers are giving too much homeworks for not thinking that them subject is the most important. Also about half tests in one period is in the same week. The second thing I bring up is lack of funding. For young people is important hang out with friends, going to the cinema, shopping or just käia kuskil trennis. Everything costs nowadays, but if you don't have money, it causes more stress. Thirdly some young people, especially teenagers, don't get on with their family. They find that everything parents doesn't let them be independent. Some young people's parents are divorced or are drinkers. I have also felt stressed sometimes. I think that the more happier you are the less stress you have.

Should people be allowed to have cosmetic surgery before the age of eighteen? In the modern media stars and celebrities get a lot of attention thanks to cosmetic surgery. This is getting through to the young people of today, but is it OK for a teenager to get cosmetic surgery? Many people nowadays think that teenagers are getting more independent. They often do things on their own and sometimes things that they wouldn't be proud of in the future. It is certainly true that cosmetic surgery costs a lot of money. People under the age of age of eighteen live with their parents. Usually parents have to cover their expenses. On the other hand minors might get into an accident and need cosmetic surgery to look the same again. If disfigured a child can feel left out which is not good.

Anxiety is often overlooked by adults and does not seem as big of a problem as other mental issues like depression. The truth is, anxiety can affect teenagers lives just as much and should be dealt with immediately. I also have anxiety at times, but I have found many ways to help myself. The first thing to do when having anxiety is to make sure that our body is taken care of. Enough sleep can reduce anxiety and stress very effectively. It is also crucial to have a healthy diet and well-balanced meals. Caffeine and alcohol are most certainly not recommended, since they can trigger panic attacks and aggravate anxiety

Kaspar is going to protect him what changes a new classmate to a foeman of Anders. Developing the film uncovers schools violence, relations with parents, pedagogues apathy, punishment and retribution. For me, the film was really galvanic and thought-provoking. In real Estonia it is not that cruel as it is in film, but it may be possible in somewhere American schools. I think the film is too uncharitable and is not educative for everybody. It is possible that some teenagers follow that lead. ,,Class" is a documentary drama with an obvious message - "Violence gives birth to violence" as one teacher has said. Everyone run out of patience eventually. I recommend that film for high school students, teachers and also for parents.

The role of music in the modern society

The cause of this is clear and I want to explain you the role of music in the modern society. First of all, a huge benefit of music is a really wide variety of styles. Classic, hip-hop or different types of rock are extremely popular with youngsters. So, in the world of guitar chords and dancing sounds of violins everyone can find something he really loves. Secondly, there are not any limitations in ages. Teenagers and adults can listen to the same music and not be worry that it is shamefully. No one will laugh if you like classical or rock music. What's more, music helps us to live. When someone feels lonely or depressed he just turns his player on and listens to his favorite songs. And all his sadness goes away. So, music for us is also one of the ways to relax. In conclusion, I want to say that music is a great support in role of the modern society

Essee "Teenager and pocket money"

Should teenagers nowadays earn their pocket money. Many children earn their pocket money by doing some jobs at home, but lots of them do not need to work for it. I think that it depends on the specific children whether his/her parents should pay him/her. My parents do not give me money for bringing firewood or mowing the lawn. They have never paid me for such jobs and I think I would feel rather bad if they did. I have understood that I need these domestic jobs done as much as everybody else in my family. My mother doesn't get paid for feeding me, so why should I be better than her. I know a family where one of the children gets paid for simple domestic jobs and the other does not. It seems unfair to me. On the other hand, I find that getting paid for chores could be rather good motivator for younger kids. In the world full of computers and TVs we are getting lazier day by day. Children nowadays may need this motivating. If ...

Why learn foreign languages

languages helps you make new friends and meet some interesting people. It is becoming really common to find fascinating social networks where you can interact among other people coming from different countries. Apart from this, if you love travelling, the only way to know other cultures and new people is by talking with them, and how could you do this without a good knowledge of English? To conclude, in my mind learning foreign languages is becoming more and more useful for teenagers and people who are interested in learning about other cultures and peoples.

Should parents limit the time their children use computers?

reality. There are many positive aspects of using computers, but also negative aspects. On the one hand children can study new things, it expands their horizons and the ability to use computers increases, which may be useful in the future, when they are going to work. On the other hand computers can be children enemy, as well as for everybody, who do not know the dangers of using computers. Many people use computers and some of them wants to use ohter people, especially small children and teenagers. Using the computer for several hours each day impairs eyesight. All of us should make small pauses during the work. In my opinion children use computers too much and parents should defenitely limit the time, if they want to protect their children. Children also should be informed about the dangers of using computers.

Pros and Cons of School Uniform

At several schools worldwide, students are required to wear school uniforms. In some schools, uniforms are not required as this is part of the decision of the school or the parents. On the other hand, wearing school uniform does have its pros and cons. First of all, wearing school uniform suppresses students’ way to express themselves. Uniforms prevent them from wearing the clothes they want to wear. Children are often much more artistic than many adults, especially in high school, teenagers experience an increased need to be unique and special. The clothes are one of the most important things of self-expression, and school uniforms do not allow students to demonstrate their individuality. On the other hand, school uniforms make students feel equal. If students are required to wear school uniforms, people will not recognize who is rich or who is poor. Everybody will give them opportunities equally. Besides, school uniforms help poor students feel more comfortable

Virtual friendship

rather than dedicating time to the people that truly care about them. A final key argument relates to people turning lasier, with internet people will go less outside to make real friends that they can learn to know and can examine their behaviour. Even so virtual world has its benefits. One of the biggest is that you are able to meet a lot of more people than you can in real life. It also gives us a better opportunity to learn from other cultures. In fact many teenagers learn a lot from foreign friends whom they have met through the internet. This helps us to see life in a different perspective. With internet people do not have to feel lonely, you can have as many friends as you like to keep you company. Overall in my opinion, virtual world is a good thing as long as you can make a difference between real friends and the friends online. It makes our lives easier and gives us a great opportunity to meet different people.

On the other hand, this might not come as a chock but children who spend too much time on Facebook have big problems about concentrating on studings and it also can affect a student`s grade . Furthermore, Teenagers and children who spend too much time on facebook have little time to go out with their friends and they feel loneliness. Facebook also causes the risk of problems as cancer, depression, violation, strokes, heart disease and so on. Finally, I really hope that next time when You will go on Facebook you first ask yourself whether you want to talk to your friends or just do nothing for hours and letting your brain die a slow and painful death

The rewiev of Twilight

The Review Twilight is the story of Edward and Bella's romance. Forget any vampire romance you have read before, Twilight is so unique it is almost like it's in its own genre. The book is marketed at Young Adult readers but it has the ability to cross age barriers and will satisfy both teenagers and adults alike. The story is told in first person from the perspective of Bella, so the reader only ever know what she knows, making Edward and his family a mystery that is slowly unravelled through out the book. Even by the end of the book I was still thirsting for more of the Cullen family back story - hopefully their characters might be developed further in future books. Bella herself is a well written and realistic character, shy and lacking in

Tourists in Estonia

Tourists in Estonia Everyday a we can see a ship-load of Finland tourists. And they are here for only one thing. Finns are not anyone who would like to see Estonian sight-seeings or old-town, they are here for cheap alcohol. Regular Finn are an over-weight and very loud, usually because they are drunk. And our hotels are full of Finns. If you ever visit a passenger-port and see a person who have one or more luggage carriers full of export beer boxes then you have seen our north-neighbour. The Brits Usually here are only British bachelors who want to have a stag party in our pubs. These kind of Brits are very annoying. But here are also nice old Brits, much less than bachelors but still some. Older Brits usually are with cameras and visit all the sightseeing in Tallinn. They look very intelligent and for some reasons all Brits are very skinny. The Japanese Japan is really far from Estonia but...

Drugs and addiction

Increasingly referred to as process addiction or non-substance-related addiction behavioral addiction includes a compulsion to repeatedly engage in an action until said action causes serious negative consequences to the person's physical, mental, social, and/or financial well- being. One sign that a behavior has become addictive is if it persists despite these consequences. 2. Drug addictions The most problematic drug addictions among teenagers nowadays are smoking, drinking alcohol and doing drugs. Smoking Smoking is the practice where tobacco is burned and the resulting smoke (consisting of particle and gaseous phases) is inhaled. The practice may have begun as early as 50003000 BC. Tobacco was introduced to Eurasia in the late 16th century where it followed common trade routes. The practice encountered criticism from its first import into the Western world

To swear or not to swear ?

Swearing has become a natural part of the society. It can be said that almost everybody uses swear words, particularly popular is it among youngsters and teenagers. In this paper I am going to discuss the positive and negative sides of swearing and why people swear. Firstly, people swear beacause it helps to relieve stress and blow off steam, like crying does for small children, to camouflage a person's fear or insecurity, establish a group identity, establish membership in a group and maintain the group's boundaries, express solidarity with other people or just to add humor, emphasis or "shock value" (http://people.howstuffworks.com/swearing1.htm). Product and corporate advertising

Product Advertising Diet Coca-Cola versus Diet Pepsi Coca-Cola® is a registered trademark of The Coca-Cola Company founded in 1886. Coca Cola markets itself as a classic drink what fits next to every meal and is suitable and enjoyable for everyone. Pepsi is Coca-Cola's biggest competitor (registered trademark of The PepsiCo) and the Company was founded in 1903. Pepsi markets itself as a rebel drink that is mainly for teenagers and often they refer to themselves as "a drink of the new- generation". Pepsi's Latest advertisement is with Sofia Vergara advertising the new Diet Pepsi slender can. That advertisement caused a lot of arguing and media attention because many people think that Sofia Vergara is made thinner using Photoshop. That is typical Pepsi advertisement because they are using a celebrity (Sofia Vergara) and appealing more to younger people. They are using their signature colors red & blue. ...

Harry Potter Worksheet

story that seemed especially exciting. He was a thin, black-haired boy who wore glasses. He was also a wizard, but didn't yet know about his magical powers. His name was Harry Potter. Harry has since made Rowling (whose pen name is J.K. Rowling) the richest author in the world. Her six books about his adventures have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide and exist in more than 50 different languages. Most of the readers are children or young teenagers, but the books are unusual in the way that they also appeal to adults. Each of the six books covers about a year in Harry's life as he grows from a boy into a teenager. At the start of the first book we learn that he is an orphan who lives with his horrible aunt and uncle, the Dursleys. On his eleventh birthday he discovers he is a wizard, and soon afterwards goes off to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which is where most of the action in the six books takes place.

Filmi analüüs "Invictus"

The main characters, Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar, were skilled and they acted well. The only negative thing, I'd say about this film, is that it made me feel a little bit sad, because there weren't so many positive emotions and events, which would have made this film a little bit more enjoyable. I liked this film and I would recommend watching this film, because it's very useful, teaching and inspiring, especially for young people and teenagers, who might have problems communicating and accepting other people, as the way they are. I wouldn't recommend this film to young children, because they wouldn't understand the main idea of this film and as the "Invictus" is a drama film, they might find it boring.

My Magna Carta.

My Magna Carta. When I first started my own Magna Carta, I thought what's the most near heart and important to me. I chose two main topics, what I find important and relevant. I'm sure that I'm not the onl one who thinks like that. The first thing I would do, is forbid bullying. What is bullying? Bullying is the use of force, threat or duress to abuse, terrorize or aggressively dominate others. There are different types of victims. One of those is the one that ignores all the hate and insulting what comes at him/her. The other one takes it all by heart and seriously. Words can hurt, a lot. Most of the people don't realize what are they causing the victim, when bullying him/her. The worse cause that bullying can cause, is suicide. There is 7% of young people who attempt suicide every year. Nearly 30% of students don't go to school, because they don't want to get bullied. Also ...
