My Teacher

My teacher There are many teachers in the World, but no such else have I seen as I have now. When furious, her eyes have a poisonous flame of danger in it; when glad, her silent praise is like the soft wind of pleasing sakuras. Every day we spend no matter the emotional appearance, is filled with lots of happy laughter and fun remarks no other teacher even notices about her students: my teacher is a really special, yet mysterious person. Her light eyes turn grey on rainy days, blue on sunny ones; sweet dimples decorate her blushing cheeks when she smiles; a little piped pink lips with big soft edges make her complexion sparkle every moment they say something she would be perfect if her character wasn't so ill-natured sometimes. She gets angry too easily: every word that comes to our mind must be carefully thought through before spoken out loudly

If I were an English teacher

If I were an English teacher Being a teacher is not an easy task. Teachers have many problems with students who does not know how to behave. Some of them even make fun of teachers and I find this kind of behaviour disturbing, because it is not fair that urchins have more fun in school than decent students have. Yes, teachers can throw the rebels out or punish them in other ways, but that usually agitates the students against the teacher. Firstly, I would like to say that if I were an English teacher I would variegate the classes with subjects, which students would actually find interesting. I would find it exciting to let them think and explore more about politics, social issues, world news and of course other subjects that they really find interesting to speak about. I believe these subjects need also considering because the majority of youth actually has no idea or interest who represents

Teacher's questions

Especially potatoes are quite good. EDUCATION AND JOB 1. What was/is your favourite subject at school? Why? I like studying. In school I like many subjects. I'm quite good at math, at art, at music, at chemistry, at physics. My favourite subject is chemistry. I don't know why I like chemistry. I'm quite good at chemistry and I'm interested in chemistry. I don't like Russian at all. Russian is difficult subject for me. 2. Would you like to become a teacher? Why /why not? I don't want to become a teacher. I think that it's difficult. Teachers don't have much free time. In school they must teach and the workday is quite long. I think that maybe seven to eight hours. But in home they must correct students' tests or make preparations for next days. I don't like a job like this. I need more free time. 3. Do the results of school exams show the students' true abilities? I think that exams are very important. Everybody must do the language exam

Teacher's Day

International Teachers`Day In many countries, Teachers' Days are intended to be special days for the appreciation of teachers; World Teachers' Day is celebrated across the world on October 5. I was a third A grade teacher and My assignment was to teach them the Estonian and math. The first lesson was the Estonian, and we read poems and talked about the modern school of boys and girls. The second lesson I spent with the students of the Eleventh A. I will provide them with the necessary information, which had previously been told to me. Next, we talked about the how the gymnasium student must behave and interact. I was trying to talk about them as much as possible, however, that although they were not interested

Essay: What Makes a Good Teacher

What Makes a Good Teacher As everybody knows, being a teacher requires different qualities that many people do not have. It is commonly accepted that teaching is often extremely difficult and stressful because pupils can sometimes give the tutor a hard time. Only the tough ones survive. I reckon it all comes down to the circumstance whether the teacher loves her job or does she do it just for the salary. If she only does it for money, the children will not take her seriously. She should also have a vast knowledge of her subject. Otherwise, it is really difficult for the attentive and eager pupils to get answers to their questions.Another important quality is humour. I believe that helps to make picking up knowledge much easier and more fun. Children always prefer teachers with a good sense of humour. However, tutors should be a

Movie review

Bad Teacher Elizabeth Halsey (Cameron Diaz) is a Chicago middle school teacher at the fictional John Adams Middle School who curses at her students, consumes lots of alcohol, smokes marijuana, and only shows movies while she sleeps through class. She plans to quit teaching and marry her wealthy fiancé, but when he dumps her, she must resume her job as a teacher. She tries to win over substitute teacher Scott Delacorte (Justin Timberlake), who is also wealthy. Amy Squirrel (Lucy Punch), a dedicated teacher and colleague of Elizabeth, also pursues Scott while the school's gym teacher, Russell Gettis (Jason Segel), makes advances on Elizabeth which she rejects.[3] Elizabeth plans to get surgery to enlarge her breasts, believing she is being overlooked for women with larger chests. However, she cannot afford the $10,000 procedure. To make

What qualities should, should not a teacher have

What qualities should/should not a teacher have The quality of the education of young people depends on the work of the teacher, who is largely responsible for the exchange of knowledge and skills for young people from an early age up to adulthood. What characteristics must a teacher have in order to do their job as well as possible, so that young adults become enough to start their own life? The teacher must have an advanced level of knowledge in their field. The more qualified the teacher is the better and more clearly he knows how to convey his material for students. From that depends how well young people acquire the knowledge and benefit from skills they have obtained in their later life. Teaching skills are very important. Every teacher should know how to be youthful and attractive enough in its subject, so that the students would give it an interest and they would

Future career

When she graduated high school she wanted to become a stewardess, but life went the other way. My father works in Finland. He is a builder. Sometimes he is abroad for several months. He worked couple of years ago at the same hospital where my mother works. He was an ambulance driver. i can't say that some jobs are unnecessary or pointless, but i can say what jobs i don't like. I think i don't want to become a doctor or even a nurse, because i don't stand blood. In the future i want to become a teacher. I want to teach Estionian language or literature to high school students. To become a good teacher, i have to go to high school and graduate it with good results. Then i want to go to university. When i was a little younger i wanted to become a singer, a dancer, a hairdresser or a seller, like any other child. And now i know, the older i get, the certain will be my views to the future.

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock I´m going to talk about Sandra Bullock. The reason I´ve chosen her is that she is my favourite actress and people had said that I look same as her and I hope you will lear a few things about her. As for her background she was born in July 26, 1964, in Arlington, a Virginia suburb of Washington, D.C. Did you know that her mother, Helga Bullock was a German opera singer and her father, John W. Bullock was an American voice teacher, who was born in Alabama. You might not know that Sandra grew up on the road with her parents and younger sister and spent much of her childhood in Nuremberg, Germany. She often performed in the children´s choirs since she was 5. That singing talent later came in handy for her role as an aspiring country singer in North Carolina, where she studied acting. Shortly afterward she moved to New York to pursue a career on the stage. Her breakthrough role was in Demolition

The School I come from

With my first teacher we wrote down lots of rules about grammar and other stuff like that but I did not understand them so for me it was more like a waste of time. With my second, third and fourth teacher I met in Jõhvi High school and they all were not good teachers because they did not want to teach us, during their lessons half of the class just played with their phones and other half of the class tried to study on their own. My fifth teacher was the one who taught me almost everything that I know now, in her lessons I was never bored, because we had so much to do during her lessons, we singed songs, read poems, did group works, where we only could talk in English and when she saw that someone was bored she left him/her more difficult homework and because of that we all took part of her lessons. Although it was hard in her lessons it was the only lesson where I used to learn.

Essay: my ideal job

My ideal job When I graduate university, I would like to become a teacher. I want to teach Estoninan language and literature. I want to teach highschool students. I’d like to teach in my hometown, Tartu. I want to become a teacher beacause I like kids. Also, I like to teach and explain. Literature was my favourite subject in school. I like almost all books from compulsory literature. Especially I like „Master and Margarita“ and „Dorian Gray“. I think it is very important to read books, especially young people should read. Literature improves their vocabulary and changes their picture of the world and maybe teach tolerance. I’d give enough time to read every book carefully

How To Get Better Grades

HOW TO GET BETTER GRADES To get better grades you have to learn everything and to be careful not to miss anything. In school you have to listen to everything your teacher says and you have to do your homework. Homework has to be done everyday and it has to be checked, because in your home your parents can check your homework for mistakes. When you are at school you have to be prepared and be ready to answer any questions that teachers could ask you. If you have something not done or forgot to do something, then you have to apologise to the teacher and it has to be done for the next day. The main key to success is paying attention in

Online vs. traditional classes

taking general classes, as the tasks will have to be done almost on a daily basis. What is more, regular classes, like college courses, are said to be quite expensive in comparison to often free of charge online classes. Surely such free classes can be quite sparing on one’s wallet, but the question is – are those no cost classes really reliable? For this reason, it is preferable to choose either traditional classes with a real teacher or dependable, and sometimes rather pricey, online classes. It will be worth it in the end. Lastly – social interaction. It is extremely important for most students to have a face to face interaction with their teacher. The study materials are generally more understandable and better acquired when explained orally by the teacher. This also gives the students the opportunity to immediately ask the teacher for clarification or additional information on a certain topic

A small adventure

of my friends Jane and Elisabeth were in a summer camp in Karepa. The weather was delightful: it was warm and there wasn't windy, so we decided to go and watch the sunset at the beach. Sadly we weren't allowed to go outside after 11 p.m. and it was already about 11.30 p.m., but we decided to go anyway. All three of us put on our darkest clothes so no one could see us. We sneaked out of our room and ran over a big hilly field into the dark forest. Unfortunately a strict teacher saw us and started coming towards us. We freaked out and started running through the forest. Luckily the teacher gave up looking for us very easily, but to my horror we had lost each other. I decided to run through the forest to the beach. The way was really short and the forest wasn't dense either, but I was still a bit scared, because I was alone. When I got to the beach I saw Jane and Elisabeth. We were relieved and happy to find each other. We took some pictures and watched the sunset.

Should schools permit computers for their students?

for their students. Is this a good idea if every student at school has their own computer what they can use in lesson? In my opinion having computers in our English class is very good idea. There is a lot of reasons why. Firstly, our textbooks and worksbooks are compiled that method that there are some excercises which we will have to check from internet like all kind of searching tasks what expect us to use Internet. It also simplify teacher work, teacher does not have to waste her time preparing the lessons.Because they can check out the difficult words quickly from internet. On the other hand, sitting in the computers every day is not good for our health, staring at a computer screen for several hours is enough to tire the eye muscles and it also causes stress and fatigue. Spending too much time in computer will lose students communication skills , because chatting only in the internet forums does not promote their communication skills.

Robert Burns

From his mother he, too, learned something that was to be value to him. His mother often sang the old songs and ballads of the countryside. Although William Burns, Robert´s father, was a poor peasant, he was man who valued knowledge. His greatest wish was to give his children the best education in his power. It was from him where Robert received his love of books. When Robert was six he and his brother Gilbert went to school, but only after a few months the teacher left and the school was closed. Their father persuaded two or three neighburs to join him in engaging another teacher. The new teacher was called John Murdoch. Although he was only eighteen, he was a very clever teacher. Robert interested him more than other pupils. When Robert´s father decided to try his hand at farming their family moved. John Murdoch stayed with the family and continued teaching the boys for two more years. On the other hand Robert´s

I read the first 20 pages of the novel ,, The Princess Diaries." The main character, Mia Thermopolis, didn't get along with her mother so well. So, her mother advised her to start writing a diary. Thats how the book started. Mia thaught that she was a freak , because she was flat chested although she was the biggest girl in her class, and she was a freshman. She had another problem, her mother was going to go out with her Algebra teacher, Mr. Gianini. Mia hated her because she was failing maths. Mia's best friend is Lilly and they talk about almost everything. Mia was also falling for a guy called Josh Richter who was a senior, he was also going out with Lana Weinberger, who was a mean, although a beautiful person. Mia hated the fact that her mother was going on a date with her Algebra teacher. One day, Mia came home from school and noticed that her mother had made pasta for dinner. Advantages and disadvantages of learning in groups

the groups are made by educational success but this is not true. There are fifteen stundents in my group and most of them are from 10c. Only 4 girls are from 10a and from 10b there are no students in my group. In my opinion it is a great chance to make friends with everybody who graduates the sameyear with me and one of the most important advantages is fellow feeling. I think it is better if the groups are made by educational success. There are weakers and strongers in one group. If the teacher deals only with the strongers, the weakers fall behind and if the teacher deals with the weakers, the strongers are bored. Generally I am for the group system because it will be boring and tedious if we had lessons every day only with our class.

Inglise keele ajalugu, essee "My languages"

Descartes Lyceum. Don't remember much of that, except for half a dozen badly spelt childrens' songs. Alouette is a really cruel song about tearing different body parts off a lark just to teach kids the names of those parts (and they are not even lark but human parts). I remember one of our young teachers used to play guitar in class and sing for us. That was really cool. Unfortunately we moved and my French studies took a long break, until my one but final school, but there I met a teacher who was anything but good at French, and not only because she was actually a German philologist. She was just plain stupid and envious of my pronounciation. She said so herself. So how much do I know French? Just enough to sing a few songs, understand some simple written text and say a few sentences. Just enough to ask in correct French if the other party, please, speaks English. English comes as my third language, and actually I met with it first almost at the same time they

Is Honesty Always the Best Policy?

relationship. Children are teached early at school and home that lies are bad and they should not do it. Despite this, I believe that without very small lies, we can not cope with life. I am quite sure that there are no such people who never lies. I do not agree with large lies, which can harm someone. I agree that honesty is good, but often it remains unpaid. For example, few weeks ago I found phone on the stairs at school. I decided to bring it to teacher. The result was that I was not thanked by the teacher and was I late in physics lesson . After that, I was not particularly happy that I did a favor to somebody. In conclusion, i belive that honesty is good and necessary but without small lies, like you look good, even if he does not, we cant make it. I think that honesty is best policy but not always.

A day to remember

The family was extremely excited that day. My parents had taken me to the mandir the previous day and my bag was packed with great care. I was to go to School for the first time in my life.I was six years old and I still remember the day I first went to school. My aunt came to drop me to my classroom and helped me to get familiar with my teacher and class. I hated the thought of being away from home for so many hours. Tears rolled down my checks as I got off the house and held my aunt’s hand.My aunt could sense my fear and tried to cheer me up . I fet a little better as I saw many other boys and girls entering the class where I had to go.my aunt left me in the classroom and drove to the house. I felt my heart sink as I saw go but I soon began to feel better.the times passed quickly and I started making new friends so I

Using smartphones at school

Smartphones are one of the most important things to teenagers. They can not even leave home without having a smartphone in their pocket. Teenagers are using smartphones all the time no matter the place. Smartphones can also be very useful too when the time and place is right. Should teenagers use smartphones at school? At school student should be focusing on studying. Instead of doing that students are using their smartphones class and not paying attentoin to teacher who is trying to educate them. A lot of knowledge is getting lost because of the smartphones. This can lead to bad grades or even dropping out of school. Some people are not able to be 10 minutes away from their smartphones and this is bad. Smartphones are also bad for your eyes and posture. On the other hand smartphones can be very useful. You are able to search for information very quickly. Using them in class can make students take up knowledge more easily because the
