What is wrong with current school education?

It has to be perfected all the time, according to the ways of life, which are always changing. There definately is not a certain perfect solution. Firts problem in current education system coul be that students are put into a „box“. Everyone gets graded by a certain standard, if you can not reach that line, then yo have failed. This is the fairest way, at least in concept. But not all the people have same abilities and strengths. Education should be more personal, focusin on a certain students talents and strengths and trying to develope those, so that the children could reach their full- potential and would always be encouraged to follow their heart in life. Secondly, there should be more practical learning. Practical learning is much more sufficient and also more fun. Learning can be fun, but children do not know...

The Fear of Choosing The Wrong Major in University

One of the biggest choices a person has to make is to choose what they are going to study after high school. Many students decide to acquire vocational education and they have to choose which profession to pursue, whether it be, for example, learning to become a technician or a hairdresser. However, a bigger majority of teenagers decide to go to university. But before doing so, teenagers have to be certain what kind of study program they will be taking. This puts young people under a lot of stress, because they have a lot of doubt and fear. For example, over the years, there has been an increase of people, who have decided to study Information Technology in University, including myself. The increase has been due to the immense labor shortage in Estonia and the high salaries students will be...

Technology has dramatically changed leisure and hobbies

Wife shares pictures to Instagram with her iPhone and in the backseat girl is playing with her iPad and boy reads on his kindle. This is normal nowadays, because technolgy has been improved for example people can now communicate with each other much faster. It is great, although it can also harm people. Technology is serious responsibility- if people do not use an invention carefully, then it would end up the wrong way. The word „Leisure“ meaning changes in every 10 to 20 years. 50 years ago spare time was usually considered as that part of a day when people took a nap or children played with each other. Nowadays technological tools are killing off leisure time, especially for younger workers and students, who are working longer hours, taking fewer and shorter vacations but still bringing their cell phones and laptops along. Constantly in health magazines are...

A person must suffer from the results of his own unwise actions

A person must suffer from the results of his own unwise actions. We all have responsibility for our actions. And everything we do wrong we are responsible for. And some major mistakes we make we have to be ready to be punished for it. If we make mistakes in our life then we have to be ready to suffer the consequences. Like if we leave the school without finishing it. Then we don't have the needed education and then we can't get so good jobs. Nowadays to get a good and well paid job you need a good education. And when we don't then we have to accept with something not so good....

Blandings Castle

He is not afraid to use any means to save her marriage. Freddie is a caring husband and he loves her wife very much (Quotes 1,2). Freddie has a deep, personal connection with his cousin Gertrude. They grew up together and because of that they have a trust between them. They keep each other's secrets and help each other out in case of trouble. Also, if something seems to be wrong then they are not afraid to speak is clear with each other. They are almost like a brother and a sister. That is probably because they grew up together like brothers and sisters do (Quotes 6,9). Freddie's relationship with his father, Lord Emsworth, is more than extraordinary. They are not like fathers and sons usually are. Instead, they have a sort of a love-hate relationship without the love and hate parts. At times, they are quite neutral to each other and they get along just fine....

Education

It is, rather, largely the result of work by people with BAs, BSs, LLBs, MBAs, and PhDs. Elie Wiesel made a similar point to the Global Forum in Moscow last winter when he said that the designers and perpetrators of the Holocaust were the heirs of Kant and Goethe. In most respects the Germans were the best educated people on Earth, but their education did not serve as an adequate barrier to barbarity. What was wrong with their education? In Wiesel's words: "It emphasized theories instead of values, concepts rather than human beings, abstraction rather than consciousness, answers instead of questions, ideology and efficiency rather than conscience." The same could be said of the way our education has prepared us to think about the natural world. It is a matter of no small consequence that the only people who have lived sustainably on the planet for any...

Corporal punishment

think that most children would respond negatively to a change like this and that this change would only create more of a problem in the long run. Bullying can have a very bad effect on the child who is being bullied and on the child who is allowed to go on bullying. Corporal punishment was not allowed in our school. That is strictly denied to physically punish students in any way. In closing I believe that corporal punishment in schools is a thing of the past. I think that corporal punishment is wrong . Children should be punished when acting out in schools, but that punishment should be in a non-violent form....

Exposing the Human Condition in Antigone

" Antigone accuses Kreon of overstepping the laws of the gods, by relying on his own thinking. As is brought out later, Kreon never listened to other peoples advice until it was too late. In the above passage Antigone heroically faces up to the most powerful man, the King, knowing he could kill her in an instance, but still she tells him he is wrong . Being strongly tied to a family, where you would risk death is one thing, but as in any family a person usually takes their anger and frustrations out on individual family members, as in this passage on page 24, lines 100-103: "Then weakness will be your plea./I am different. I love my brother/and I'm going to bury him, now." Antigone, non-heroically, accuses Ismene of not loving her brother, but of course Ismene loved her brother, Ismene was just afraid of the king...

Carl Lewis

Then in the years after he realized a nice progression in this event: 6,07 m, 6,93 m, 7,26 m and 7,85 m when he was 17. Trainers pointed out him as a young promise. In fact in 1979 he was allowed to enter the national team and to take part to the Pan-American games in San Juan, Portorico. He arrived 1 hour late (because trainers gave him the wrong program of the games) but judges made him jump anyway after Carl's explanation. And it was really a worthy decision: he placed third with 8,13 m at the last jump. A prophetic measure as it was formerly Owens' world record (which lasted 25 years). Meanwhile he spent part of his time even to train in 100 m and in 1979 he run 10"67. Only boycott prevented him to be at the Olympic games of Moscow the following year. In...

Bullying

Some bullies do it to get attention or to make other people afraid of them. Others might be jealous of the person they are bullying. It makes bully feel, stronger, smarter, or better than the person he or she is bullying. Some people think that it's one of the best ways to keep others from bullying himself. What is even worse, some bullies may not even understand how wrong their behaviour is and how it makes the person being bullied feel. Some young people are bullied for no particular reason, but sometimes it's because they are different in some way. It could be the colour of their skin, their financial condition, the clothes they wear or even their name. Some people think bullying is just part of growing up and a way for young people to learn to stick up for themselves. But bullying can make young people feel lonely, unhappy and frightened...

Kitarrikursus algajatele 3osa-Ben Edwards

Once again I would like you continue with the up and down strum and the counting aloud as in the previous exercises in this lesson. Before you do however, I just want to mention a couple of things. You will notice that in the video for this lesson, I play the A chord using a different method than the one that I taught you in lesson 1. I just want to make the point that there are many fingering variations to many chords and none of them are wrong . If you find a way to play a chord that is easier for you, then use it. That said, try playing the A chord the way I play it on the video and see if it works for you. Mary Shelly "Frankenstein"

After hearing that Victor went back to Switzerland. He was certain that the killer was the monster. He was devastated and went to the mountains to calm down. There he met the creature. He told Victor what he had done in the meanwhile. He confessed killing Victor's brother. The monster also demanded that Victor created a female monster so that he could be with her. At first Victor agreed and he started to make her but later he realised it was wrong and he stopped. The monster threatened that somerhing bad would happen on Victor's wedding day. Victor was going to marry Elizabeth but on their wedding night the creature killed her. Victor swore vengeance and he started to follow the creature. The creature escaped to the North Pole and that's how Victor got to the vessel. Victor got very ill and eventually he died. I quite liked the novel, although it was very hard to read because it had very many unknown words...

''I love you'' is eight letters. So it is bullshit. 36. Maybe I'm not over him... But then again, maybe I don't want to be. 37. A tear falls forever inside a broken heart. 38. Everytime I think of you, I'm sad. Everytime I hear your name, I'm mad. But everytime I think of how you made me feel, I'm glad. 39. When you get caught looking him, remember he was looking back. 40. I thought, I would love you forever, but that's a long time to be wrong ... 41. Should I smile because you are my friend or cry because that's all we'll ever be. 42. Love isn't funny thing when it is burning inside when all you think of is how you get through the night. 43. Don't listen to your mind, listen to your heart because it can change your whole life. 44. Kui keegi on sulle väga lähedal, kui sa armastad kedagi, siis oled talle andunud võimaluse sind üheainsa sõnaga tappa. 45...

Fridrick douglass

Douglass was a firm believer in the equality of all people, whether black, female, American Indian, or recent immigrant. He spent his entire life advocating the brotherhood of all humankind. One of his favorite quotations was: "I would unite with anybody to do right and with nobody to do wrong ." Life as a slave Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey, who later became known as Frederick Douglass, was born a slave in Talbot County, Maryland near Hillsboro. He was separated from his mother, Harriet Bailey, when he was still an infant. She died when Douglass was about 7. The identity of Douglass' father is obscure; Douglass originally stated that his father was a white man, perhaps his master, Captain Aaron Anthony, but later said he knew nothing of his father's identity...

Every girl deserves to feel good about herself, and see how beautiful she really is.. Every morning he tells me I'm gorgeous. I am actually starting to believe him... Giving up doesn't always mean you are weak;sometimes it means that you are strong enough to let go ! I know I'm not easy to love, but could you try anyway ?
