At the side of such music modern poly-stylistics may be just a desperate quest. The values in Estonian music and their reception in the world indicate that first of all the works of Rudolf Tobias, Eduard Tubin and Arvo Pärt are recognised and appreciated. The reasons for this simply flow from their music. Some of my colleagues may find one or another aspect of Estonian symphonism lacking in my survey. This is unavoidable

A new middle class had more and more money to spend. Great artists, writers and thinkers lived during this time.
