THAILAND GETAWAY 12/01/2008 Dear Sirs I have just returned from a holiday in Thailand Getaway. I am writing to express my annoyance about a number of points. First of all, the beaches were dirty and crowded. As a result, I didn't see any clean and free places where for suntanning. I like snorkelling, but you have not snorkelling equipment for all the family. Take a tour by elephant was impossible because queue was too long. Even bikes were out of order. All these points made me very annoyed. I insist on paying back a half of the sum I paid for the holiday. Yours faithfully M. Mets (Mr) words (109)
Dear Madam or Sir I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction with the service of your company. My complaints concern holidays on Tenerife. To start with, your travel agent assured me that I would stay in a luxurious hotel situated not far from the Golden Beach. I was also promised a spacious room with a terrace and windows overlooking the ocean. However, the hotel turned out to be small and old and it was situated close to a very busy street, furthermore, very far from the ocean. It took 40 minutes to walk to the beach. Moreover, there was a balcony instead of a terrace in my room

This helps you realise that the person reading your letter is a real human being with feelings, trying to do their job to the best of their abilities. Your letter should encourage them to respond positively and helpfully to the complaint. No matter how mad you feel, aggression and confrontation does not encourage a helpful reaction to complaints. Good complaints letters with the above features tend to produce better outcomes: - Concise letters can be understood quickly.

An alteration in tone, pace, or punctuation changes the meaning, however slight. Purring · A purr is a sound made by most species of felids, but most large felines like tigers do not. the world, they might have few disadvantages for their users. Younger students might be really interfered by the number of options they can do with their computer. Most of all children have accounts in different social networks and if they are given an opportunity to feel free while using computer at school they might get carried away and forget the purpose of this device at certain lessons. Finally, there have been many complaints about plagiarism. As long as the internet has unlimited amount of information, many students tend to copy the articles or information and give them out as their own ideas or creations. That decreases percentage of child's or adolescent's brain work, which later will not pay off. It seems to me that providing every student with computer is not necessary. After all it is very useful to have cyber classes at school, which can be visited few times a month.

Moreover, two trucks were recently unavailable for use for five days because Autocheck failed to send out a mechanic when we contacted them. This happened despite the fact that their contract states that they will arrive within twentyfour hours of a call. When this deterioration in service became apparent, MCC mechanics made several inspections of their own, and have confirmed that these are not isolated instances but indications of generally unsatisfactory work. Frequent complaints have been made to the Autocheck Manager and he has had ample opportunity to explain the deterioration in the quality of Autocheck's services. However, he has failed to reply to our letters (copies of these are attached) and whenever one of our representatives attempts to contact him, either personally or by telephone, he is always unavailable. In view of this, it is recommended that the contract with AMC should be examined

more than the students in China which also suggests that the teachers have a smaller amount of authority. She explains that in her experience the students in Estonia occasionally complain about the large amount of home assignments, tests and some classroom assignments such as moving around in the class and asking questions from the other students, while students in China almost never do. In her opinion one reason behind the complaints could be that in Estonia the students compare her way of teaching with their expectations and previous experiences of other teachers in Estonia which might be different. In China, however, the overseas students might already expect the customs to be different and think that since they are in China they should accept the Chinese way of teaching. Another difference between teaching Chinese in China and in Estonia is the teaching speed

However, continued 34 exposure to caffeine leads to developing a tolerance to it. Tolerance causes the body to become 35 sensitized to adenosine, so withdrawal causes blood pressure to drop, which can result in a 36 headache and other symptoms. Too much caffeine can result in caffeine intoxication, which is 37 characterized by nervousness, excitement, increased urination, insomnia, flushed face, cold 38 hands/feet, intestinal complaints, and sometimes hallucinations. Some people experience the 39 symptoms of caffeine intoxication after ingesting as little as 250 mg per day. The lethal ingested 40 dose, for an adult person, is estimated to be 13-19 grams. While generally considered safe for 41 people, caffeine can be very toxic to household pets, such as dogs, horses, or parrots. How common is bullying? Toronto's Board of Education has documented that in grades 4 to 8, one child in five was victimized periodically, while one in 12 was bullied weekly or daily. How can you tell if your child is being bullied? Most schoolchildren won't tell you, often because they are afraid of reprisals. But certain symptoms should make you suspicious. These include unexplained reluctance to go to school; fearfulness or unusual anxiety; sleep disturbances and nightmares; vague physical complaints (headaches, stomachaches), especially on school days; or belongings that come home ripped or are missing altogether. If you suspect your child may be a victim, it's best not to ask the question outright. Dr. Sarah Shea, director of the Child Development Clinic at the IWK Health Centre in Halifax, suggests: "Ask your child indirectly how he or she is spending lunch hour; or what it's like walking to school, walking home or taking the school bus. Ask if there are any children at
Elements of Journalism". Because journalism's first loyalty is to the citizenry, journalists are obliged to tell the truth and must serve as an independent monitor of powerful individuals and institutions within society. The essence of journalism is to provide citizens with reliable information through the discipline of verification, as well providing a forum for public criticism. Professional and ethical standards In the UK, all newspapers are bound by the Code of Practice of the Press Complaints Commission. This includes points like respecting people's privacy and ensuring accuracy. However, the Media Standards Trust has criticised the PCC, claiming it needs to be radically changed to secure public trust of newspapers. This is in stark contrast to the media climate prior to the 20th Century, where the media market was dominated by smaller newspapers and pamphleteers who usually had an overt and often radical agenda, with no presumption of balance or objectivity.

Many Bedouin people are also great poets, and have a real talent. But this is often reserved for special occasions such as weddings. 3. Herbal Medicine Bedouin people are strong advocates of herbal medicine, this was their only source and hope of getting better when were ill in the desert. They have hundreds of herbal cures and medicines, one of the most popular being camels milk. It is used for many conditions including stomach and digestive disorders, circulation problems and bone complaints. In addition they have vast knowledge of the desert plants and what they can be used for. They will amaze you with this, and in Dahab we find evidence of how effectively these cures have worked on people. Our safaris have been developed to provide more an insight into the fascinating life and knowledge of the Sinai Bedouin and to provide examples of how this knowledge is still used today. 4. tragedy and comedy. Native English drama, which had existed at least since medieval times, was the wellspring of Elizabethan drama. Although Classical drama had been known earlier, its initial influence came in the 1560s, with the translation of Latin drama, especially the revenge tragedies of Seneca and the comedies of Plautus and Terence. 13. How did the Puritans influence life and culture? As Puritan influence grew in England, more and more complaints were made about the ungodliness of the theatres, and they were occasionally closed. The Puritan influence that forced the occasional closing of the theaters was symptomatic of what was to come. The increasing strength of the predominantly Puritan middle class in the House of Commons during the reign of James I and his son Charles I, made confrontation inevitable. A civil war broke out in 1642 between Royalists and Roundheads (puritans). With the outbreak

We had almost six years to get used to the fact that the Estonian kroon is eventually going to end. In that time there was a lot of discussion about whether we should stick to the kroon or change our money to the euro. Lots of people were afraid that they lose their money during the period of transition - this belief was quite popular among people who still remember the time when the Russian rubles were changed into kroons and did lose much money. Luckily there haven't been any complaints yet. The reason I chose this political concern is its contradictoriness. I myself dislike the fact that the kroon is "leaving us" but I hope that in the long run it will seriously benefit us. According to Conjuncture Institute's research 39% of respondents don't care about this issue. 34% of responses were negative and only 25% positive. Most of the negative responses came from elders and the positive ones from people aged 30-49 years.

A really questionable move, as putting up over 100m fence should still count as a construction work. Within two days, the new fence around the Kalaranna beach, was torn out by unknown activists. Kalamaja community was disappointed by Pro Kapital action and the dispute only escalated. Pro Kapital ordered a new fence around the beach and ordered a security company to watch over the property. Within next few days complaints were surfacing that there is a group of men in unmarked cars and civilian clothing that are protecting the area and if anybody dares to move closer to the fence the men threaten them with violence. Pro Kapital denies that they have hired an underground group to protect their property, but the situation has not changed. There is still an older Mercedes, or a van, standing by the fence round the clock, with a muscular man inside it, patrolling the area. Pro Kapital activity in Kalarand

The Press is so powerful in this respect that its sometimes referred to as " the fourth estate" 2. Second is the shallowness. Apart from sports the papers are full of little except stories of famous people and big headlines used as excuses to publish pictures of naked people. This has led to discussion about the possible need to ristrict the freedom of the press. This is because, in behaving this way, the press has found itself in conflict with the right to privacy. Complaints regarding invasion of privacy are dealt with by the Press Complaints Commission (PCC). - In other words the press regulates itself. BBC does not favour any politic views. It doesnt depend on advertising or government for its income. Televison: Organization

I rather wonder now at your knowing any." "Are you so severe upon your own sex as to doubt the possibility of all this?" "I never saw such a woman. I never saw such capacity, and taste, and application, and elegance, as you describe united." Mrs. Hurst and Miss Bingley both cried out against the injustice of her implied doubt, and were both protesting that they knew many women who answered this description, when Mr. Hurst called them to order, with bitter complaints of their inattention to what was going forward. As all conversation was thereby at an end, Elizabeth soon afterwards left the room. "Elizabeth Bennet," said Miss Bingley, when the door was closed on her, "is one of those young ladies who seek to recommend themselves to the other sex by undervaluing their own; and with many men, I dare say, it succeeds. But, in my opinion, it is a paltry device, a very mean art."

It was raining, washing all traces of the snow away in clear, icy ribbons down the side of the walkway. I pulled my hood up, secretly pleased. I would be free to go straight home after Gym. Mike kept up a string of complaints on the way to building four. Once inside the classroom, I saw with relief that my table was still empty. Mr. Banner was walking around the room, distributing one microscope and box of slides to each table. Class didn't start for a few minutes, and the room buzzed with conversation. I kept my eyes away from the door, doodling idly on the cover of my notebook. I heard very clearly when the chair next to me moved, but my eyes stayed carefully focused on the pattern I was drawing.

not a significant problem in wooden apartment buildings. This is one of the reasons why wooden apartment buildings had less mould on building envelope. 16.3 The air tightness of building envelope The average value of air leakage rate of all measured apartments was q50 = 10 m3/(hm2) (min. 3.8 m3/(hm2); max. 22 m3/(hm2)) and air change rate at 50 Pa was n50 = 13 h-1 (min. 4.8 h-1; max. 24 h1)). The main complaints in apartments with large leakage were of air that was too dry, fluctuating temperature in the winter, and the imbalance of temperatures in different rooms. Whereas there were not big differences in the measurement of air tightness in brick and panelled apartment buildings, then the exterior boundaries of log apartment houses have significantly larger air leakage rate. 16.4 The hygrothermal performance of internally insulated external walls
" So, even if Strawson's own competing thesis (that statements with nonreferring singular terms in them should be taken as nonstatements rather than as false statements) is actually correct, his argument does not show that. The basic idea of conversational implicature is almost universally accepted, as are most of its standard uses in philosophy. But Grice's theory of it is now not so widely granted. There are two main direct complaints. First, some 162 Pragmatics and speech acts philosophers are suspicious of the amount of complex but nearly instanta- neous and almost entirely unconscious reasoning posited by Grice's theory. (Read through Grice's template again, and see how long it takes you.)4 But then, in many walks of life we do a great deal of reasoning very quickly and subconsciously. The second and more serious complaint is due to Harnish (1976), Sperber
feel lighter and happier. As the thoughts of anger and resentment fade away, your mind will fill with positive thoughts. You will have more energy and enthusiasm. You will feel stronger and more confident. Your whole future will open up before you, like a sum- mer sunrise. Don’t worry about what your friends think or say when you de- cide to forgive people who have hurt you. They are probably tired of hearing your complaints about the unfortunate events of your past. In fact, when you start forgiving, you will often find that the only common bond between you and certain people is your gripe ses- sions. When you decide to forgive others, you may no longer find them very interesting to talk to. ■ THE PEOPLE YOU MUST FORGIVE There are four groups people you need to forgive if you are serious about changing your thinking and changing your life.
Clearly they didn't see the irony of defending me while I was surrounded by people trained to do that very thing. "Sounds good. I can't wait. I'm really excited to be training with you." "I'm excited, too. I'm going to work you hard, Eva. Your parents are going to get their money's worth." I set a filled glass in front of Cary and took a big gulp out of my own. It never ceased to amaze me how much cooperation money could buy. But again, that wasn't Parker's fault. "No complaints here." "We'll get started first thing next week. Your driver has the schedule." "Great. See you then." I hung up and caught the glance Trey shot Cary when he thought neither of us was looking. It was soft and filled with a sweet yearning, and it reminded me that my problems could wait. "I'm sorry I caught you on the way out, Trey. Do you have time for pizza Wednesday night? I'd love to do more than say hi and bye." "I have class
recently read a story in the Wall Street Journal that illustrates the scarcity prin- Iciple and how people want whatever is taken away from them. The article de- scribed how Procter 8{ Gamble tried an experiment in upstate New York by eliminating all savings coupons for their products and replacing the coupons with lower everyday prices. This produced a big consumer revolt-with boy- cotts, and protests, and a frrestorm of complaints-even though Procter 8{ Gamble's data showed that only 2 percent of coupons are used and that, on av- erage during the no-coupon experiment, consumers paid the same for P8{G products with less inconvenience. According to the article, the revolt happened because of something that P8{G didn't recognize: "Coupons, to many people, are practically an inalienable right." It is amazing how strongly people react
