2. She was born in Vienna, Austria, in 1755
She was the 15th child of Holy Roman Empress Maria Theresa and Emperor Francis I.
Marie Antoinette married the future French king Louis XVI when she was just 15 years old.
The young couple soon came to symbolize all of the excesses of the reviled French monarchy, and Marie Antoinette herself became the target of a great deal of vicious gossip .

People called her "L'Autrichienne"
She was hated for her beauty and because of her eccentric personality, also because she was born in Austria.
French people started to call her "L'Autrichienne" (which literally means the Austrian ( woman ), but also suggests the French word "chienne", meaning bitch)
Also France financial crisis was blamed on her lavish spending. It is known that she lived golden life: she bought tons of clothes, diamonds and of course she gambled.
The Diamond Necklace incident damaged her reputation further, although she was completely innocent in this affair.- The Diamon Necklace incident was that her husband asked jewelers to make a necklace out of diamonds to give it to woman as a thank you and respect sign, but both the woman and the husband died before the necklace was ready , so the next king offered it to Marie Antoinette, who refused, but then there was a man, who was a relative to Marie and he copied her handwriting and sent the letter to the jewelers with a saying that she wants it, but she wants to pay and get it silently so people wouldnt judge her for spending money. Last, when jewelers were tired of waiting the money and the necklace was already sent to " queen " they started to accuse queen for not paying and people didn't believe her that she never wanted it and that she had never even seen it.
Although she was considered as spender, she donated lots of money in charity too and she was a great mom, who protected her children like mother lion .

For an example, the rumour is that when Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart gave concert to the royal family, then all he wanted in return was that Marie would marry him.
Also she was blamed for a saying "Let them eat cake" when there was poverty and there were no bread , but nowadays it is proven that it wasn't even her who said that it was Rousseau and it's written down on a year when she was only 11.
Hameau de la reine, a model hamlet in the garden of the Petit Trianon with a mill and 12 cottages, 9 of which are still standing. The Hameau was one of Marie Antoinette's contributions to the Domain of Versailles and can be viewed by the public to this day. The legend says that it was created because the queen liked to dress up and play as if she was a shepherdness or a milklady.
Marie Antoinette was also accused for being a nymphomaniac and people thought that she had many affairs, there are even rumours that she had affairs with people, who she really loathed, that she was a lesbian and that she had sex with her son.
5. When revolution started her and his family (including Louis XVI) was taken to official prisoners .
Her husband was executed and despite the various attempts to get her out, such as the Carnation Plot in September, Marie Antoinette refused when the plots for her escape were brought to her attention .
6. Last day
"Pardon me sir, I meant not to do it!"
On 16th of October her hair was cut off and she was driven through Paris in an open cart, wearing a plain white dress. Marie Antoinette was beheaded at the Place de la Révolution, her last words were: "Pardon me sir, I meant not to do it", to the executioner, whose foot she had accidentally stepped on after climbing the scaffold. Her body was thrown into an unmarked grave and that was the end on Marie Antoinette
