To: The Aru Secondary School library's librarian From: Mari Mets Subject: Students reading interests Date: 3th November Introduction As requested, I carried out a survey among my schoolmates about their reading interests. My findings are presented below. Girls' reading interests The majority of the girls said that they like to read romantic novels. 28% said that they prefer historical novels and 21% said that they like to read thrillers. A minority said they like to read poetry. Boys' reading interests By far the largest number of boys said that they prefer to read thrillers. A large proportion said that they like to read historical novels. A small number said that they like to read romantic novels and poetry.
Unfortunately 90 per cent of them told that they never had any free money. Collectors So one out of ten guests told that they buy paintings frequently. But most of them were actually collectors and only two guests said that they collected art from young painters. 10 visitors admitted that they bought art just to decorate their home and they actually did not care what kind of painting they were. Proof All in all, researchers were not much surprised by the findings. The survey just showed and confirmed how much our young talented English artists are depending on that financial support coming from The National Art Association.
REPORT Young people's activities in Simuvere Gymnasium in 1996, 1998 and 2000 Introduction The aim of this report is to describe, how are young people's favourite pastimes changed between 1996 and 2000. The survey is carried out in Simuvere Gymnasium in 1996, 1998 and 2000. Students who were questioned were 16-18 years old. My findings are presented below. Numbers have given in precentages. Changes among pastime activities. At graph we can see big changes. 1. Before 1996 students mostly watched television but in 1998 it was already ten percent less. In 2000 it was only twenty five percent. 2. Before students loved to read books, but in 2000 this number was only fifteen percent. This is not good anymore. 3. In 1996 students did not know what is computer or what we can do with that. In 2000

A little over a quarter of students like to play games on their mobile phones, and one fourth enjoy using their devices to listen to music. These findings supports the importance of the Internet addiction. Many people turn to the Internet in order to manage unpleasant feelings such as stress, loneliness, depression, and anxiety. This suggests that it's important to remember that there are healthier (and more effective) ways to keep difficult feelings in check. 12 SUMMARY Village cemeteries were usual phenomenon in Estonia in the 16-17 cc. Kaubi village cemetery is located in Viljandi county, Halliste parish, Kulli village. The cemetery belongs to the 16-17 cc, and was discovered by chance in summer 1998, when the Raudsepa strip mine was re-opened. The archaeological specimens found were followed by archaeological excavations run by the archaeologists from the University of Tartu. The findings and excavated skeletons are stored at the Archeology Cabinet of the University of Tartu. Findings from the cemetery are typical for the period when the burials took place brooches, belt details, but also jewelry (beads, rings) and tools (knives, needles). Firstly clay bricks are known for centuries as one of the most solid and reliable structural elements is set to play a role in reducing global warming. Apart form the many benefits obtained from using clay bricks in construction, such as their durability, insulation properties and aesthetic qualities, recent findings show that they also produce less carbon emissions than any other masonry material. The results showed that the rats that lived in a stimulating environment had a thicker cortex. The frontal lobe, associated with thinking, planning and decision-making was heavier in these rats as well. Similar studies show that if the rats were put in together with other rats, the thickness increases even more. These findings can be generalized to humans only to some extent because of the difference in genetic make-up. However, if learning always results in the development of the brain then the animal studies that show plasticity in response to environmental factors are important for the human cortex as well. The last paragraph will be a summary of the key findings and recommendations. Tourism is one of the world’s largest industries (Tisdell, 2000, Swarbrooke et al. 2003, Buckley, 2003). According to UNWTO, international tourist arrivals have reached 1,087 million in 2013. Nash (1995) noted that any human subject of such magnitude should be analysed by anthropological studies, rather than economical.
