law. Lately, in some cases, legalese has been smoothly replaced with plain language and for some it is unacceptable. So, why use legal English when there is already plain language that can be used instead? Body 1: Firstly, we all like to follow traditions, right? So do most lawyers. You know Latin was and is important for English law, the practice of using Latin word versus in case names (for "against") still occurs daily. Why change something that has been used and appreciated for thousands of years? Law is known for it's conservatism and legalese might have maintained so well because many lawyers have learned it's value and feel special to be one of the few who can understand it. Secondly, legal language includes some very complex linguistic practices of an ancient profession, so maybe the best way to sound like a professional is to use as much legal vocabulary as possible. There are literally thousands of terms to choose from.

In Iron Man Tony confessed to his personal assistant Pepper Potts that she was all he had. At the conclusion of the movie Iron Man 2, the stage was set for the beginning of Tony and Pepper's relationship. Stark was also frequently helped by his friend James Rhodes who seemed to be really close to him. Even though it was hard to see, Tony Stark really appreciated his friends. A superhero is special because of his extraordinary powers, but typically still has personal problems all of us can relate to. In 1601 he was elected Member of Parliament. He wrote essays and pamphlets condemning the Church of Rome. Donne wrote poetry exclusively for personal pleasure. His use, for example, of religious imagery in love poems and images of physical love in religious poetry shocked his contemporaries, and his work was not widely appreciated in the 18th and 19th c. His reputation grew at the beginning of the 20th c, when his passionate, dramatic poetry became popular again, and it is only since then that he has been widely recognised as one of the great poets of the English language. FRONT/BACK VOWELS Vowels may be classified as either rounded or unrounded, as either lax or tense, and as either long or short. A vibration is felt in the oral cavity when a vowel is articulated. If this vibration is felt toward the front of the cavity, say in the area of the alveolar ridge, the vowel is described as a front vowel. If the vibration is felt toward the back of the cavity, say in the area of the velum, the vowel is described as a back vowel. This distinction can be appreciated by successively articulating "ho-ho, hee-hee, ho-ho, hee-hee," and paying attention to where the vibration is felt most strongly in the oral cavity. The phoneme spelled o in ho is a back vowel, and the phoneme spelled ee in hee is a front vowel. He is, in addition, acid, disagreeable, unpleasant, and we can catalogue these characteristics like the most appreciated by its followers. Larkin gives us through his poetry, a vision of middle-aged conservative, that in a politically incorrect way in our days, does not stand children, detests the life in family, he does not believe in anything and he does not wait anything of the life. He scorns the “literary life” and also the things that normally soften everybody: the romantic love, the memories of the childhood, the nature, etc. Keywords: Larkin, poetry, cruelty, suffering, nature Index

Watch out for national and international issues because it is very difficult to be well informed. You should focus more on your personal concerns and talk about things that hold meaning for you, rather than just write about what "they want to hear". If you are planning to make your essay funny and writing it in a humorous way, you have to be very, very careful. It is strongly recommended that you should not try to make your essay funny. Almost always, this is done poorly and not appreciated by the admissions committee. There is nothing worse than not laughing at something that was meant to be funny or amusing. A good essay tells a story about the applicant - it's not a life history; rather it is a glimpse into the life of the applicant. Treat your essay as a snapshot, each of us has different selves at different times: sometimes we are clowning about, while other times we are demonstrating wisdom. The Salon was a place where all the great men in Paris, who later on were participants of the Revolution, would gather, discuss relevant topics and enjoy culture. The message behind the Horatii impressed many important figures of that time, including Thomas Jefferson, who appreciated the message of patriotism and individual sacrifice on the painting. (Roberts, 1989, p.4, 5) In the Oath of Horatii David used a very popular story from mythology that captured the patriotism of men and at the same time the feeling of abandonment among the women. The legend tells the story of a noble father who gives swords to his three sons, who take an oath to fight for their country. Moreover, at the same time the wives of the three sons are in deep morning and represent the more delicate

Absolute. This cannot be put into words but recognised only. We hear and sense it in the Indian raga, the Gregorian chant, the mass of Palestrina, the passion of Bach and the symphony of Beethoven. At the side of such music modern poly-stylistics may be just a desperate quest. The values in Estonian music and their reception in the world indicate that first of all the works of Rudolf Tobias, Eduard Tubin and Arvo Pärt are recognised and appreciated. The reasons for this simply flow from their music. Some of my colleagues may find one or another aspect of Estonian symphonism lacking in my survey. This is unavoidable. I opine that what may seem very important “inside” here, may seem quite unimportant to observers “outside”. If there is anything exemplary in my investigation, it is undoubtedly Estonian symphonic music at its highest and most sublime. It is natural that high value in music, its sublime and

We think that periods from 1710-1850 and 1850-1918 have changed Estonian life and history in many ways. The enlightening time influenced the life of our country the most, especially the Estonian language. Before the enlightening time our ancestors didn't know how to read, or write. They didn't have the possibility to go to school either, but the enlightening gave the chance for doing that. In addition we would like to say that people in that era went through some serious changes, which are appreciated nowadays and thought to be the most important. 18 | P a g e References E. M Tali & T. DirectX Graphics offers some higher-level programming elements with its retained mode and the Direct3DX (D3DX) utility library. Retained mode provides a simple scene graph (called a frame hierarchy) and some geometry constructs. However, most DirectX programmers don't use it, claiming it to be poorly implemented and aimed at 3D modeling rather than gaming. D3DX is more widely appreciated: it includes several gaming elements such as a skinning library for working with meshes, and functions for vertex and pixel shading. Briefly, the other DirectX API are: · DirectX Audio: for game soundtracks with 3D sound positioning and effects; · DirectPlay: help for networked games, including guaranteed and non-guaranteed message delivery, traffic control for slow links, game session management, peer- to-peer, and voice transmission;

Compound rhymes are made up of two or more words, united by a single stress, that reproduce the sound form of a correlated word: women - two men, adorer - before her. Compound rhymes are mainly employed to evoke a humourous response. They also add a colloquial touch to the text. A peculiar property of English rhymes is eye-rhyme. It contains identical letters while vowel sounds are pronounced differently: love - grove, farm - warm, flames - Thames. Eye-rhyme is appreciated by the eye rather than by the ear. Thus, it is a property of the written poem. Internal rhymes occur within a poetic line. Head rhyme is rather uncommon. It connects the end of a line with the beginning of the next one by similar sound combinations. Head rhyme may appear in the form of stringing together lines beginning with the same sound, or syllable, or word. According to the arrangement of rhymes in stanzas, rhymes fall into: 1

this thesis. In order to attain the objective, several methods of analysing solvency and financial statements on the basis of which the analysis will be conducted, are studied. The main methods on which the analysis is based, is the analysis of ratios and a horizontal and vertical analysis. The analyses are carried out by way of using the annual reports of AS Even of three years (2003-2005). This enterprise is chosen as an object of study since AS Even has become one of the most appreciated installer of ventilation systems in Southern 55 Estonia. Financial ratios regarding companies of the installation of ventilation equipment and air conditioners concerning the period to be studied compiled by the Statistical Office of Estonia are used for the analysis and the different indexes of AS Even of different years are compared and representative calculations are made. Bridges discussed in this essay illustrate important types or technological turning points and are listed at the end. Some, like the Pont du Gard (France) and the Iron Bridge (UK), are already inscribed on the World Heritage List. Others may be candidates for listing given adequate study, comparison, and evaluation. Not every potential World Heritage bridge candidate is cited. It is the job of TICCIH and its member countries to identify and make a case for outstanding bridges so they can be appreciated and protected like the great architectural and natural monuments already designated. Introduction The first bridges were natural, such as the huge rock arch that spans the Ardèche in France, or Natural Bridge in Virginia (USA). The first man-made bridges were tree trunks laid across streams in girder fashion, flat stones, such as the clapper bridges of Dartmoor in Devon (UK), or festoons of vegetation, twisted or braided and hung in suspension

Compound rhymes are mainly employed to evoke a humourous response. They also add a colloquial touch to the text. A peculiar property of English rhymes is the so-called eye-rhyme (or sight-rhyme). It contains identical letters while vowel sounds are pronounced differently: love - grove, farm - warm, path - hath, gush - bush, dew - grew, flames - Thames. It is obvious that eye-rhyme is appreciated by the eye rather than by the ear. Thus, it is a property of the written poem; its share in the rhythmical pattern is insignificant. The existence of eye-rhyme is conditioned mainly by historical changes in the vowel sounds in certain positions. Eye-rhymes are used by contemporary poets largely as a tribute to the poetic tradition of the past. From the point of view of their position we distinguish between final rhymes (illustrated above), inner and head rhymes

However, it is equally undeniable that he appreciated some aspects of the native culture. On the one hand, Cooper saw acculturation as ultimately desirable and encouraged it in his fiction, but he revealed the distinct limits to its potential on the other, because he was not certain whether a twoway acculturation would ever be accomplished and work out well for both cultures. While exploring the multilevel cultural

He was, in fact, just a junior account manager and his office was a closet compared to the ones occupied by the directors and executives, but no one could fault the view. He leaned back and smiled. "Did you get settled into your new apartment?" I was surprised he remembered, but I appreciated it, too. I'd met him during my second interview and liked him right away. "For the most part," I answered. "Still a few stray boxes here and there." "You moved from San Diego, right? Nice city, but very different from New York. Do you miss the palm trees?" "I miss the dry air. The humidity here is taking some getting used to." "Wait 'til summer hits." He smiled. He is rigtly considered being subtly as one of the founding fathers of the New Age movement. Founding and blending different elements from many religious systems of the world Jung considers all of these in psychological sense justified and relevant. After Freud`s and Adler`s critical views Jung may be appreciated at least for highlighting importance of spirituality in human experience in totally new and refreshing way. 107 Kasutatud allikad ja kirjandus Kirjandus: 1. You will no doubt settle that point better than I could, all I can say is that the people of Baghdad are in constant warfare with their cats, maintaining, not without good reason, in my opinion, that they bring the plague, because of their fur coats and their habits." While these longhairs might not have been appreciated in their native land, their charms were not lost on British cat fanciers. In "Our Cats" in 1889, Harrison Weir wrote of the various longhaired cats: "There are several varieties - the Russian, the Angora, the Persian, and Indian. Forty or fifty years ago they used to be called French cats, as they were mostly imported from Paris - more particularly the white, which were then very much in fashion." Angoras

Clerks repeatedly violated the most elementary rules by failing to superencipher and forgetting to bisect messages. The worst bungler the Swedes came across was the German consul at Stavanger, whose numerous blunders became the vulnerable heel of many a German message. His name—almost too fittingly—was F. W. Achilles. The Swedes appreciated his help so much that they hung a large photograph of him in their office. "He was very fat and he looked like a gorilla," Segerdahl said. "I never met the man personally, but I considered him my best friend in the German diplomatic service!" The Swedes also read messages in other German systems —a double transposition for the military ATTACHÉ and two substitution systems for the troops. The latter gave them an unexpected peek into the sex habits of German soldiers

Perhaps the most notable features of Mesa are its sizable Mormon population-next to Salt Lake City, the largest in the world-and a huge Mormon temple located on exquisitely kept grounds in the center of the city. Although I had appreciated the landscaping and architecture from a distance, I had never been in- terested enough in the temple to go inside, until the day I read a newspaper article that told of a special inner sector of Mormon temples to which no one has access but faithful members of the church. Even potential converts must not see it; how- ever, there is one exception to the rule. For a few days immediately after a temple is newly constructed, non-members are allowed to tour the entire structure, in-
