Online vs. traditional classes
Nowadays, there are numerous ways to acquire a good education. In addition to traditional classes, there are online classes, which have grown exponentially in terms of popularity over the past few years . Although these computer- based courses are thought to be more convenient and inexpensive, there are still countless proponents to the traditional way of learning , who stand by social interaction and discipline. So which is more advantageous – an online class or a traditional class ?
To start off, online classes are more flexible than traditional classes. This is especially useful for people with families or a tight schedule , who only have certain periods of time available. Even though classes on the Internet often have a confirmed timeline, they still offer those lacking of spare time the opportunity to modify the time spent on the course they have chosen.
In spite of online classes being more flexible, it can be hard to stay committed. This is the advantage of traditional classes – discipline. When students have appointed lessons it creates a routine . It is easier to maintain a clear schedule and complete necessary assignments while taking general classes, as the tasks will have to be done almost on a daily basis .
What is more, regular classes, like college courses, are said to be quite expensive in comparison to often free of charge online classes. Surely such free classes can be quite sparing on one’s wallet, but the question is – are those no cost classes really reliable? For this reason, it is preferable to choose either traditional classes with a real teacher or dependable, and sometimes rather pricey, online classes. It will be worth it in the end.
Lastly – social interaction. It is extremely important for most students to have a face to face interaction with their teacher. The study materials are generally more understandable and better acquired when explained orally by the teacher. This also gives the students the opportunity to immediately ask the teacher for clarification or additional information on a certain topic. Thus, the student will have a better understanding of the subject at hand as well as develop their social skills .
In conclusion , even though there are several pros and cons to both traditional and online classes, the classical way of learning outweigh online classes. When in search of a good education, attending a regular class is more advantageous by being the base of discipline, reliability and enhanced social skills. Although online classes can be a good fit for some people, the majority will still benefit more by learning in a classroom .

Should class attendance be mandatory for university students?

Should class attendance be mandatory for university students? It has been heavily debated, whether class attendance in general should be compulsory or optional. While most people can agree on the necessity of class attendance in elementary, as well as secondary school being obligatory, then opinions on required class attendance at university are quite divided. Both two alternatives have their respective up- and downsides but all aspects considered, which is more beneficial? To start off, the students’ chosen specialty usually reflects their interests which means that said students, in fact, want to attend classes. In this case, it seems unnecessary to make classes mandatory as it will be more time consuming and virtually even pointless for them to explain their reason for absence

The Integration of subjects

The Integration of subjects The present-day school system revolves around traditional education, in which students learn each subject individually. This structure means that pupils don’t have the capability or know-how to connect math, biology or even art into their daily life. Even though the tutors of this conventional education have faith in the arrangement of subjects it is still entirely about high test scores, grades and graduation. The essence of progressive, alternative education like the integration of subjects is learning

Using Blogs as a Platform in the TEFL

.................................................................................11 INTRODUCTION Due to the rapid expansion of technology over the past decade, hypermedia instructional programs have become commonplace. Learners of all ages have increased access to technology such as the World Wide Web, which provides a seemingly limitless amount of information. New technologies such as Mp3, podcasting, and social networking are booming. In contrast to more traditional environments, technology offers greater opportunities for interactivity and learner control. There are more educators and language teachers using the Internet in language teaching as well. Many computer applications, especially asynchronous computer-mediated communication such as email and electronic bulletin boards, promote interactive learning. With the booming growth of technology, blogs have become another learning platform for language teaching.

These rockets were successfully used against Napoleon in the battle of Waterloo and during the US War of Independence. By the 1889s other applications for rockets were being developed. They were used for signalling, for whaling, and even for rescuing people from sinking ships. If a boat got into trouble near to the shore, a rocket with a thin rope tied to it would be fired out over the boat; survivors in lifeboats could use the ropes to pull themselves ashore. These traditional rockets are still used as distress signals on boats and planes. However, in the 1920s and 30s a great leap forward in the use of rockets took place with the introduction of liquid fuel. This made rockets much more powerful. The new rockets were so impressive that for the first time people began to seriously think about using rockets to take people to space. The development of the space rockets took place during World War II. It was the Germans who built

English essay The Future of Education

The Future of Education The future of education is not very promising for younger generations. The face of education is changing rapidly because of direct injection of computer technology into schools. Online courses soon will prevail over the traditional high school and college education. Online Universities will create classes sponsored by companies. These companies will direct the universities on the materials of the course. The company will then offer those who pass the course a job. This will create a worker who will not be able to do his job without a computer. Teachers will take a backseat in these courses. There is also a chance that Teachers will have an easier job in the future, they will instruct the students only if needed. Also on the horizon are smart objects

They spend more time at the computers or laptops or iPads etc. than read books or move outside. And another thing is that teachers are less capable in using technological appliances. But the latter mentioned fact is an advantage for us teachers as well. It gives us an opportunity to provide our students to experience success. They can help and assist us if we need some technological help. Another thing is that in schools, in classes generally students are not allowed to use their appliances, so it means they have to communicate verbally as well. I think that teachers should be creative to blend so-called digital learning/teaching with old-fashioned learning/teaching. · Sir Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity? Sir Ken Robinson claims in the clip that " creativity in education is as important as literacy, we should treat it with the same status." I totally agree with all what he said
