POINT OF VIEW Book is written using the first person perspective Alex's narration includes many uncommon words and a slang called Nadsat, which are apparently common to the speech of the youth subculture in the novel. MAIN CHARACTERS Alex is a protagonist. Alex is very easily irritable and very violent, for example he is very fond of opera and classical music but his friend Dim mocks it. Alex gets furious and punches Dim. He is also very arrogant even his gang members think so. The only thing that Alex values is violence and power. He thinks that Devil is inside him and explains that way his violent acts. He is from a good family and enjoys the power he has over his close ones. He has no empathy for his victims that mean he is very cruel. There are two things that Alex enjoys: blood and classical music.

the lack of interest in learning suggests that barriers to even a first experianse remain impossible to some. The Making Music report talks further about where there are more children interested. The Chairman of Sistema England Julian Lloyd Webber said: ‘Sadly, the report shows that music is still most likely to be pushed aside in the poorer inner-city schools ‒ exactly where it could be most beneficial. This continues to foster the misguided belief that classical music is a white, middle-class and elitist activity. While things are much better than they were 10 years ago, there is still a long and winding road ahead before we can say that all our children have access to music.’ I chose this article because it was the first one to have my interest. I have always been somehow interested in what other people, who are not connected to music the way I am, think of learning an instrument, do they want to do it as or not

The Renaissance 1500 1650: background 1. What does the word ,,renaissance mean? Characterize briefly the period called the Renaissance. "The rebirth" from French Renaissance, meaning "rebirth"; Italian: Rinascimento, from re- "again" and nascere "be born") Rebirth of scholarship based on classical learning and philosophy. The Renaissance was a cultural movement that spanned roughly the 14th to the 17th century, beginning in Italy in the late Middle Ages and later spreading to the rest of Europe. It encompassed a revival of learning based on classical sources, the development of linear perspective in painting, and gradual but widespread educational reform. When the wealthy bachelor Mr. Bingley and his best friend Mr. Darcy arrive in town to spend the summer in a mansion nearby their property, the shy and beautiful Jane falls in love with Mr. Bingley. Lizzie finds Mr. Darcy an arrogant and proud man, and she swears to loathe him forever. This is the beginning of their wonderful love story. My opinion: I found the book quite interesting, not as good as I had expected or hoped, but still something different from the usual books I read. It is a classical love story, how a man and a woman at first loath each other and later on fall in love. But it can be said that it is a quite women- dominating story, as it shows women having power, although little, but still- and how it was uncommon those days to praise women in literature. Women are desperate to find a man to marry, especially a rich man, then they submit to their husbands, if not they are off to find a new one. Most of the action happens at balls

This recording has to be the most influential recording in the history of jazz flute. The success of the recording pushed more arrangers to use flute as a solo instrument and boosted to popularity of the flute in general. Moving further, in 60s flutist Sam Most and Herbie Mann started to develope new sounds and ways. Mostly thanks to widespread experimenting happening all around the world, radical changes took place concerning the flute. Techniques from modern classical pieces(f.e E.Varese, L.Berio) started to come over and develop jazzflute even further. One of the virtuosos, E.Dolphy started to experiment and during his stay in Italy, started to study under Severino Gazzelloni(Pioneer in multiphonics). In the 2nd half of the 60s, Decade for bossa nova, started to spread from Brazil to North America and Europe. Bossa Nova(New Thing) and its rich harmonies and softrythms were an instant hit among jazz musicians and flute was incorporated

in Estonia next summer. Differences between two forms To start with, students forms 7 to 9 are mostly listening Pop which makes the biggest percent of survey 35%. Form 10 to 12 is listening more Rock. Also form 7-9 have quite big percentage in Pop music notably 29%. Although, younger students have bigger percentages is their preferments unstable. However, older students are listening likely majority of music Pop, Rock and Dance. In fact, only 3% of 7 to 9 form and 7% 10 to 12 form listening classical music. Music that should be performed At the festival should be performed Rap because many students in younger forms like it and certainly Pop because that is very popular in both form. Also, there should be played Rock because survey shows that it is the most popular amongst older students. Conclusion In conclusion, students have different taste in music and everyone listens of all something. We have to make festival pleasing for both forms that is why there have to be played different styles

Get enough sleep, a good night`s sleep gives your brain a brilliant boost, it improves your memory and ability to focus. At least 7-8 hours of sleep is very important for me and I always trying to go to sleep before midnight. Of course it easy for me, because I go to school and I don`t have kids, but I believe, however, that most people really could more sleep, when they plan their day better organized. Have a laugh, think positively and set goals. Listen to classical music and try something new. Don`t drink alcohol or smoke. I believe that a healthy lifestyle is like a jouney, you can always walking even better and more perfectly live. However, in my opinion an important sometimes take easy and just do it, which is currently the most attractive looks. Enjoy your life, but also think about your health!
society. First of all, a huge benefit of music is a really wide variety of styles. Classic, hip-hop or different types of rock are extremely popular with youngsters. So, in the world of guitar chords and dancing sounds of violins everyone can find something he really loves. Secondly, there are not any limitations in ages. Teenagers and adults can listen to the same music and not be worry that it is shamefully. No one will laugh if you like classical or rock music. What's more, music helps us to live. When someone feels lonely or depressed he just turns his player on and listens to his favorite songs. And all his sadness goes away. So, music for us is also one of the ways to relax. In conclusion, I want to say that music is a great support in role of the modern society. And if someone tells me that he doesn't like listening to music, I just won't believe because it seems me unreal.

biggest problem with rock bands is that they have a lot of different musical instruments so we should consider building bigger stage. According to our questioning that we handed out to our gymnasium classes three most popular genres were dance, rock and also pop. The percentages as seen from the table were 29%, 24% and 31%. We should take it into consideration that both surveyed groups wanted to listen to pop and rock music. Antoher thing that surprised our student committee was that classical music is not listened to among our students, which means we can exclude it and still get a lot of visitors. The best side about it is that we can earn more income from the ticket sales by making so. In conclusion, the survey clearly shows that we have to include rock and pop artists and maube dance music. This way highschool students can free their souls by dancing.

Of the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Iron Age civilization that existed in the territory, many artifacts remain, but few written records were left behind. The recorded history of Scotland begins with the arrival of the Roman Empire in Britain, when the Romans occupied what is now broadly England, Wales and the Scottish Lowlands, administering it as a Roman province called Britannia. To the north was territory not governed by the Romans -- Caledonia, by name. Its people were the Picts. From a classical historical viewpoint Scotland seemed a peripheral country, slow to gain advances filtering out from the Mediterranean fount of civilisation, but as knowledge of the past increases it has become apparent that some developments were earlier and more advanced than previously thought, and that the seaways were very important to Scottish history. Because of the geographical orientation of Scotland and its strong reliance on trade routes

Theatre NO99 I chose to write about this theatre because I like it the most. It is the most modern theatre I think and the plays are also most startling and astonishing, compare to other theatres in Estonia. It began to operate in February 2005, so it is one of the youngest theatres in Estonia. Probably that's why it is very different from the others and its repertoire is more contemporary then classical. Their first play what "Sometimes you feel that life will end and there hasn't been any love". The theatre also organizes so called one-time "actions", in which you can't be certain if it's going to be a success of failure, because the ideas are somewhat crazy. It has two theatre halls, but their plays have been staged in the open air as well. For example one time in an old swimming pool and also in three abandoned airplane hangars. Their imagination has no boundaries.

Burgess wrote over fifty books, numerous critical studies (notably of Shakespeare and James Joyce) and journal articles, and screenplays and teleplays (he was even called upon to devise a prehistoric language for the film "Quest for Fire"). The study materials are generally more understandable and better acquired when explained orally by the teacher. This also gives the students the opportunity to immediately ask the teacher for clarification or additional information on a certain topic. Thus, the student will have a better understanding of the subject at hand as well as develop their social skills. In conclusion, even though there are several pros and cons to both traditional and online classes, the classical way of learning outweigh online classes. When in search of a good education, attending a regular class is more advantageous by being the base of discipline, reliability and enhanced social skills. Although online classes can be a good fit for some people, the majority will still benefit more by learning in a classroom. Triin Tammaru 12.d
the main figures, events and ideas of the French Revolution. David had more than 5 pieces of art that captured the essence of the Revolution. His paintings represented political ethics, current ideals and foundations. Furthermore, the wider public was enthralled with his ability to represent brotherhood and patriotism while using the neoclassicistic style. (Friedlaender, 1952, p.16) Jacques-Louis David was born in Paris in 1748 as the son of an ironmonger. The leader of the French classical movement studied with the artist Joseph-Marie Vien. Although, he attained his real art education in Rome, where he was surrounded by ancient ruins and the masterpieces of great Italian painters. After returning to Paris in 1789 David started to shape his vision, connecting the themes from Antique with the themes of strict morality and heroic sacrifice. This was compatible with the new ideas of the French Republic and therefore David quickly turned into a national hero
