THE VALUE OF THINGS VS THE PRICE OF THINGS

Anna-Maria THE VALUE OF THINGS VS THE PRICE OF THINGS The price and value of things has changed a lot of over the times. Every person value things variously. It depends on people, what they think is important for them, some people value expensive things like diamonds or highly rated technology, some people on the other value things that are not financially valuable, like family, love or friends. The value of things is quite different from the price of things. A good example to prove it, is Apple. The price of Apple products are simply overrated. Iphone is like any other phone, but people buy it just to be popular and because everyone else are buying them. For Apple it is good of course, because they are serving benefits

The persons whom I asked didn't changed his/her bobbies recently, because people who were in my age are already know what they really likes to do. In younger age people are changed their hobbies, because they want to do that what they really like, and searching it is takeing some time. Is it expensive to have a hobby? Explain. It depends what kind of hobby you like to do. When you like for example folk dancing then it is not expensive, because dancers didn't have to buy those clothes. But when your hobby is dancing the ballroom dance, then it costs very much, the dresses what people wear when they are dancing pays very much, of course you can lend those dresses but it also pays much. like. I have one hobby, which I really like, but the negative side of it is that I can do it only in the winter. No, it's not skiing, it's ice skating! I love it and it doesn't urge not much at all in the winter. All you need are ice skates, warm clothes and clean ice, which exist in the countryside too. I have bought myself figure skates, which didn't cost much, because i bought already used ones. Ice skates can be really expensive, but you should buy expensive ones, when you are already professional. The primary danger in ice skating is falling on the ice. You can be injured really seriously, but usually you just get some bumps or bruises. The second, and more serious danger is falling through the ice into the freezing water, when you are skating on the lake or on the pond. It may end with drowning. That's why you should always check ice thickness before and when you are going to skate, you should bring somebody with you.

Ralph Lauren

Ralph Lauren Ralph Lifshitz was born on October 14, 1939, in the Bronx, New York. Growing up in a middle-class Jewish family, Ralph and his three older brothers were raised by his mother, while his artist father painted houses. Lauren's fashion sense was apparent at an early age when he would purchase expensive suits with the money he earned working at his after-school job. Although he knew he could find his clothes at a less expensive price, he made it a point to look stylish in his expensive threads -- and he has succeeded at looking cool in his attire since the age of 12. Lauren studied business at City College in Manhattan, and dropped out short of receiving his business degree. While working at A. Rivetz & Co., Lauren began designing wide ties, which spawned his first entrepreneurial career. With his tie designs and a $50,000 loan, Lauren founded the company Polo Fashions in 1968. Along with his older brother, he chose

Newspapers in Britain

Britain's press is unusual in that it is divided into two very different types of newspaper: the quality press and the popular press. The term quality press is used to describe papers, which follow the tradition of the journals of the 18th and early 19th centuries. The 'quality' papers are printed on large papers, have an undramatic layout and are serious in tone. They have editorials which comment on important issues and reflect the political views of the editor. They are more expensive than tabloids. Examples of the quality dailies are The Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, The Independent and the Financial Times. People choose a paper that reflects their own political opinion. The popular press is mainly represented by papers founded after the launching day of the Daily Mail in 1896. Today such papers are largely tabloid. 'Tabloid' is a term, used for substances which were compressed into pills. The tabloids 'compress' the news and are printed on small sheets of paper

School uniform pros and cons

School uniforms are verry popular nowadays, mostly in private schools. But would school uniforms make our lives better? There is no doubt that school uniforms have many advantages. Firstly, they encourage discipline. It would also free children from the pressure to buy trendy clothes. All the childrens would be dressed in the same way and as a result it would cut out a school bullying, which is often used, because some children do not have money to buy expensive and fashionable clothes and they are bullied because of that. Children would not have to think about what to wear in the morning and parents save time taking children shopping and spending extra money. Children will be that much less focused on appearance and more on learning. However school uniforms are good there is some disadvantages too. For example children can not show their character, which is often based on clothing. Some school uniform may be more

PIRACY

PIRACY Life of the 21th century is getting more and more expensive. People can't afford themselves that kind of entertainment that they did at the end of 20th century. Because of that there are a lot of piracy in that world and I think that it is one of the biggest crime of nowadays technological ear. Piracy is a form of theft. Morden technology has made wide-scale trading of music possible in the form of MP3 files available over the internet for free, all at the click of a mouse. We have to consider that not everything on the internet is legal

For example: "You don't mean you met the Tony Blair, do you?" !Note - The doesn't mean all:- "The books are expensive." = (Not all books are expensive, just the ones I'm talking about.) For example: "Books are expensive." = (All books are expensive.) No article We usually use no article to talk about things in general:- Inflation is rising. People are worried about rising crime. plants because more waste is generated. CO2, which is released from burning coal, is the main cause of global warming. Nuclear waste is collected and hidden in rocks or under ground, where it won't face the environment. However we shouldn't depend on nuclear energy as Uranium reserves are ending, especially when the world population is increasing and so is the demand for energy. There is Uranium in seawater, but getting it is too expensive. We can only depend on nuclear power for a few years or decades. On the other hand, we will always have wind and solar power. Right now, producing solar energy is quite expensive but as technology improves, we will hopefully be able to produce solar energy with lower costs. The world should use as much wind and solar power as possible. As years go by, we will hopefully find a way to produce cheap and environmentally- friendly energy, but right now, we can't give up nuclear energy

Shopping in my life

Shopping in my life I like shopping with my friends. I buy clothes once a month with my friends, usually on Saturdays. Sometimes I shop with some member of my family for example with my mother. My mum can give me some good advises. When I buy new clothes, I look for quality clothes, which last longer. My tastes aren't very expensive and I'm not exactly into brand names. I usually buy clothes in Terranova. I spend quite a lot, but I always think carefully before I buy something because my family doesn't have much money to waste. I always go to the sales. When I need some money, I ask my dad or mum and they give me some. I don't have my own credit card but my dad has one. I love fashion clothes. I like jeans, sweat shirts and tops. I wear them every day at school and my favourite colours are pink and purple. I enjoy buying

Cars enslave us rather than liberate us

are different. In my opinion, cars enslave people because once a person gets behind the wheel, there is no way out of this comfort. To begin with, car requires a many expenditure, starting from purchasing a car and ending with technical controls, supplying of fuel and so on. It can be said that the material side of the car sustenance is difficult. A person must have a stable income to afford a car. Moreover, it is expensive to get a driver's license. It can be said that owning a car is an expensive pleasure. Secondly, driving a car can be compared to addiction as Matthew Perry once said:" I think we need to educate doctors about our addiction." Initially, people may not notice it, but over time it becomes clear that people cannot pass even the smaller distances without car. For instance, there are people who drive to the gym to do a workout there even if the distance is small. Nonetheless, it is good to have a car if it is necessary to save time.

Why is Australia young people's dreamland

That's why young people who go there feel free and are happy to run their own lives. The climate in Australia is very warm and that's why enjoying life there feels so great. Most young people go there with a group of friends. They work for some time and then start to spend earned money. They drive around, try new things and party a lot. Some young settle down there and start their own family. Some get new acquaintances and even work themselves up and get rich. Living in Australia isn't very expensive, some young stay even in a hotel. But living style and culture are different. This difference and distance attracts young like honey flies. Australia is many times bigger than Estonia. And that also means more opportunities, in many different fields. In Estonia there is quite hard to find or get a job, you need to have experience. But experience is exactly what young people don't have. Last summer I didn't get a job because every where they asked if I have experience

Am I going to marry

Am I going to marry Marriage (or wedlock) is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship. For me, marriage is a very important event it makes people care about each other more and understand each other better. I have thought about it to marry in distant future. But before is needed to finish the school. It is not enough, because be some time before that to live together. Must also find a good and rewarding job, because weddings arevery expensive at this time. But if two peoples want to get married then money is not an obstacle. Atomic energy

Nuclear power produces around 11% of the world's energy needs, and produces huge amounts of energy from small amounts of fuel, without the pollution that you would get from burning fossil fuels. Nuclear power costs about the same as coal, so it's not expensive to make. Although not much waste is produced, it is very, very dangerous. It must be sealed up and buried for many thousands of years. For all that time it must be kept safe from earthquakes, flooding, terrorists and everything else. This is difficult. Nuclear power is reliable, but a lot of money has to be spent on safety - if it does go wrong, a nuclear accident can be a major disaster. One of the most feared disadvantages of nuclear energy is the potential for weapons. Each

Formal Letter

Riho Kirsipuu Group nr 2 20.11.2015 Formal Letter Dear Sir or Madam, I just returned from my holiday, which was not what we were looking for. There were some problems I want to talk about, which was not mention in brochure. Firstly, when we arrived at the airport, there were not any coach waiting for us but brochure said that transfer was included. Because of that we had to take a taxi and it was very expensive. What is more, the beach was far from hotel which was unpleasant surprise. In addition, entire resort was crowded and very noisy but travel agent described it as quiet and peaceful area. Last but not least, our hotel room was tiny and not comfortable for three people to live in, it was dirty also. Furthermore, towels were dirty during our two weeks holiday. In conclusion, I think the travel agent should offer som...

Supermarket vs cornershop

find different discounts too. Many discounts are with shopping carts, so it is important to have one. On the other hand, there are bigger queues than corner shops and can be more difficulties to find products, because area is much bigger. Secondly, corner shops main advantage is location. They are closer to home and there are short queues too. Also there are some products that you won't find in supermarkets and also fresh bakery products. On the other hand, there can be expensive products and they might be open only few hours. All in all, it is every people's decision which shop to prefer, but it is important to know advantages and disadvantages of both shops.

If I were the misiter on education

If I were the Minister of Education If I got the chance to be the Minister of Education, I would definitely make some changes in school life, changes for the better of course. Firstly, I would improve school catering. I would make school food free for all students because at the moment it is quite expensive. Because of that some students can not afford to eat at school but schooldays are long and it is unhealthy to go all day without eating. School buffet's offer unhealthy chips and pies but very little healthy vegetables and fruits so I would make buffets healthier. Secondly, I believe that it would make classes more effective to watch different educational movies. Doing the same thing from day to day is simply boring and some variety would surely increase students' interest in class.

Letter to a penfriend

Sorry I haven't written you for a while, but I've just returned from a a week's holiday in United Kingdom, London. We stayed in one of the city's best hotels. The hotel was Radisson SAS and it was right in the centre of the city. It was ideal to go sightseeing and shopping. London is spectacular city. It's the largest city in the United Kingdom, very historic, cultured, peaceful and beautiful at the same time. Did you know, that London has the oldest, longest and the most expensive underground network, dating from 1863 called The Tube? There are plenty of things to do there, too. We stent most of our time shopping and visiting the main sights, like The Big Ben Tower, National Gallery and Royal Opera House, where I saw the best concert I've ever seen! Unfortunately, I lost my passport to the Royal Opera House, but luckily some kind person had already handed it in, when I went to the police station. What a relief! Well, now you know how was my trip to UK

Letter of complaint

On first day, I had to wait a cup of coffe for one hour. Also, there was promsed a TV in the room, but it was out of order. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the recreational facilities either. Altough there were two tennis court, we did not get a change to play because they were booked up most of the time. In the end, our evening entertainment conisted of sitting in the bar all night as the only choice was an extremely noisy disco. Besides, the drinks in the bar are way too expensive. I hope you appreciate mu dissapointment and will consequently do something to improve the service of your hotel. Yours faithfully, Piret

Assessment Report

It can, in fact, become quite chilly in the evenings. Features Hillside has large shower block consisting of 10 showers and toilets for men and the same for woman. However, the cleanliness of the shower and toilet blocks is not of an acceptable standard. There is a bus service to the village, yet it is inconvenient as since it runs only every 30 or 60 minutes. Hillside also has launderette, a restaurant and a bar, although the restaurant and bar are expensive. Conclusion On the face of it, Hillside Camping offers an outstanding view, a bar and a restaurant. However, the facilities are below standard. Taking everything into account, I would not recommend including this site in our brochure.
