Human nature exposed in G.Orwell’s „ Animal Farm
Humans are the most deceitful animals in the World. Even if we do not want to confess it to ourselves, we have to accept the fact that humans constantly change their ways of thinking and acting to make the World a better place to live in for themselves. Our lives are fulfilled with lies we enter to our or someone else ’s mind. A lot of it is connected to people’s constant need of power and control . “Animal Farm” is a book that reverberates that kind of human nature through politics , dictatorship and power, but in nowadays ’ World this kind of behaviour occurs also in our everyday life, not only politics.
First of all humans are in a constant need of power. The essence of the power does not even matter as long as they have some kind of control. It could be control over some group, over a person and his mind, actions and thoughts or just over a certain situation where we want to gain a higher role so everything could be under their command. People are willing to do everything to get others under their control. In “Animal Farm” Napoleon ’s first act to gain his leadership was the betrayal of his fellow leader and friend Snowball. Napoleon and Snowball did not agree on their views of leading the farm and Napoleon, who could not deal with divided power, drove Snowball away . So do humans nowadays. The moment they feel threatened by others’ support for someone else’s ideas , views and power, a certain protective reflex pushes them to defend and fight for their position . Humans are too selfish, self-centered and egoistic to share their desired position with someone else.
Besides the thirst for individual power, the methods people use to gain it are even more absurd . The best example would be lying . In “Animal Farm” Napoleon gradually started inventing more and more lies, which would justify and explain his decisions and acts . The pigs started altering the Seven Commandements for their own well-being. They changed them to make their life more enjoyable and comfortable. It’s also in humans’ nature to tell lies just to inluence other ’s opinions, to make them look good in someone’s eyes or just because telling others something they want to hear or believe grows a certain kind of respect and belief in people. Another technique Napoleon used to increase his power over other animals was telling bizarre and libellous stories of Snowball. This motivated other animals to work harder and as a unit against Snowball. This brainwash is something people tend to do, not only in politics, but also in everyday life. They come up with a specific goal that everyone pursues so they would get people’s support, respect and commitment .
In addition to get people under someone’s control by telling them lies, it is in human nature to use specific attributes for their own benefit . In the book Napoleon took advantage of the fact that he was smarter and more astute than the other animals. He exploited their trust and their stupidity. Napoleon made other animals do loads of work, saying that pigs should not burden themselves with working , as they have to do all the thinking. Although animals were very tired and Napoleon had sold much of their food for money , they were still happy . They believed that as long as life develops and prospers, everything is good. They considered every word that Napoleon said to be true and Napoleon used it for his own good. It is also very common in today ’s World, where people take advantage of others’ weaker sides and turn them good for their own benefit.
In conclusion humans could be considered as very self-centered creatures, who all in all aim at individual power over other people. They are capable of doing anything just as long as it will produce good results and bring them the outcome they were targeting for. The same thing is reflected in “Animal Farm” – the brutal dishonesty and injustice against others just to achieve your goals and to satisfy your power-hunger.

Power Destroys Ideals

Power Destroys Ideals Throughout the centuries people have fought for power. Leadership has been a reason for many wars and fights. For some people one of the most important things in life is to have power over everybody else. Very often those who become leaders destroy or forget about the ideals they had before and about the promises they made. G. Orwell's book "Animal Farm" is an excellent example of how easy it is to forget about the ideals. In his novel George Orwell pictures a human society through the animal farm. He uses exagerations which help to feel the atmosphere of spoiled society. Society ruined by dictators, false ideas and corruption. In the novel the animals are shown as the exagerated copies of human beings with all their characters, habits and feelings. The story took place on the farm where the animals led a rebellion against the human beings. The revolution was started by the pigs who were considered the most intelligent animals

Reasons why human beings are unique

200,000 Japanese people. No other species has ever wielded such power, and no species could. The technology behind the atomic bomb only exists because of a cooperative hive mind: hundreds of scientists and engineers working together. The same unique intelligence and cooperation also underlies more positive advances, such as modern medicine. But is that all that defines us? In recent years, many traits once believed to be uniquely human, from morality to culture, have been found in the animal kingdom (see part one in this two-part series). So, what exactly makes us special? The list might be smaller than it once was, but there are some traits of ours that no other creature on Earth can match. No animal can get close to the devastation humans can cause (Credit: Thinkstock) No animal can get close to the devastation humans can cause (Credit: Thinkstock) Ever since we learned to write, we have documented how special we are. Why do we need morality?

we all want - happiness, peace and security, we must make compromises and obey the laws and moral rules. In general, morality is a form of social control. As long as most of us follow the rules and cooperate, our lives are good. So in other words it is all about the majority - as long as the great number of people accept this, the humankind will be in prosper. Without morality the world would be an unbearable place and people would be miserable, lonely, unsatisfied and afraid. A great novel about morality and its effect is Lord of the Flies by William Golding (1945). This piece of work is a good example of a society without rules are moral values. In this book a group of boys end up on a desert island and they do not obey the rules anymore. At first the boys are happy to be out of the adult world, but soon they face a total chaos. So they create some kind of system that only one may talk at a time and they also choose a leader for themselves (democratically)

THE CAPITALIST NIGER

In 1987, David Sun and John Tu, both immigrants, started their Kingston Technology Company in Fountain Valley, California with hardly much financing 3 other than their savings. Nine years later they sold 80 percent of the company to the Softbank Corporation of Japan for $1.5 billion. The company is still going strong, and they still control 20%, after pocketing $1.5 billion. In 1997, former US President George W. Bush was asked to speak to a group of officials of Global Crossing Ltd., a telecommunications company, at a fee of $80,000. Since the company was supposedly short on cash, he was asked if he would prefer to take his fee instead in stocks of the company. In early February, 1999 the $80,000 stock had skyrocketed to over $14million. Who says some people are not intelligent than others. That was before Global Crossing decided to merge with U.S. West, Inc. and the stock went even higher. But wait
