Traditions What is tradition? From a scientific point of view a tradition is a ritual, belief or object passed down within a society, still maintained in the present, with origins in the past. I think it is easier to say that a tradition is a way of doing things that is handed down from generation to generation in a family, club, nation, any group. Why are traditions important? They bring you closer together. They are a trigger, a reason to get together, they bring back happy memories. Without traditions life would not be as fulfilled.

Every field training is new and interesting. Till today i have done gun carrying exam and i have permission to carry automatic weapon. Also i have my own automatic weapon AK-4, which is used in Estonia Defence Forces also. I have thought that after time service i want to go Estonian National Defence College, but these are just thoughts. And for ending, quotation from Confucius : A COMMANDER OF GREAT MILITARY FORCES MAY BE DEFEATED. A SIMPLE COUNTRYMAN WITH A BELIEF IS INVINCIBLE. And in the Estonian Defence League we are those simple countrymans with a belief.

Mesa Verde National Park The park was created in 1906 by President Theodore Roosevelt, to protect some of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in the world Contrary to popular belief, the Ancestral Puebloan people of Mesa Verde did not disappear. Key process of performance All behaviour consist of bits of previously behaved behaviour Marked, framed, heightened Something “is” a performance when historical and social context, convention, usage and tradition says it is Make-believe performances maintain a clearly marked boundary between the world of the performance and everyday reality (children playing, actors on stage) Make-belief performances intentionally blur or sabotage that boundary (everyday life, public figures)
The Romantic Age. Began in the 18th century. There are some disagreements about when the period began so we can't say the exact year of the beginning. Characteristics of Romantic age: The Romantic Age is a term used to describe life and literature in England in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. -Imagination was very important Like William Blake an English poet has said "I know that this world is a World of Imagination and Vision" -Belief and appreciating nature -Independency Writers placed the individual, rather than society, at the center of their vision. The assertion of nationalism became a central theme of Romantic age. Literature Emergence of new ideas and positive voices. Emphasis was women and children, the heroic isolation of the artist or narrator, and respect for nature. Some writings were also based on the supernatural. Belief in the possibility of progress. Writers tended to be optimists and espoused
How to be successful To be successful is a every man's or a women's dream. To make that dream happen you will have to have some very important qualities, ambition determination, self-motivation and ruthlessness. The mentioned qualities are all what my brother has. He has succeeded in life as in his career. Career wise he has made very many important and really good decisions, he worked hard in school and in college, he had determination to work really hard and get a college degree in the field he likes. The 10 years he has been in the work market, he has worked for many companies. Looking for the perfect and best job. At the moment he is working in RMK, where he has worked for 6 years and he is currently happy with the job. So in conclusion to be successful life in generally is to study hard and have the determination and belief in yourself to success.
A long time ago, when people lived in small communities, only one name was given to a baby. As the population increased, there were too many people living in the same place and having the same name. Between the twelfth and sixteenth centuries, depending on the part of Britain, families began to add an extra name to baby's first name. Many surnames were given after a person's father or mother. In the Middle Ages the name of a newborn baby was not said out before christening. It was a widespread belief that witches and fairies used the names of their future victims in their spells. In some parts of Britain people used to call each other by nicknames in order to avoid the sound of their real names reaching the ears of cruel fairies. I think it's pretty weird to call each other by nicknames because of cruel faries.
What are the benefits and risks that technology can cause to humanity? There are a lot of different fields of technology. It is hard to find a profession where people do not use technology. Thanks to technology, we can make much more work during the day, for example a car, we can get from one town to another much faster with driving than walking. Althought it is good and comfortable for humans, it is not good for the air we breathe because of the exhaust fumes. This is the example to my belief that every technology have pros and cons at the same time. Year by year people are getting used to get their work done by or with technology, that is why i think we may get lazy and do not value what we have to do to get something done. Technology helps us to live longer. Our medicine is on whole next level than it was a century ago. I am sure that in future our average age will raise. Even thought we develop technology for better life quality, we have to be careful not to harm

getting popular among adolescents. Many people are in favour of clothes and accessories what are followed by the latest trend. Moreover, our economy has been developed, so peoples are living well and due to that they are allowed to spend money for shopping. Needless to say, that young people often get too much money from their parents and wasting it at the mall. Lastly, nowadays many young people don't know about other activities beside internet and shopping. Contrary to the popular belief, it is know that there are much more interesting activities for youths what must be encouraged by the older generation. For example sport games like football what takes skill and practice. Also it is much healthier than shopping because of physical moving. All things considered it can be said that shopping has become a favourite past time among some young people. It is hoped that our generation will find more past time opportunities what are more useful.

First of all, it is inhumane, primitive and brutal way of revenge, which is contradiction to the basic values of Christian Europe. What is more, it stands in the way of society progressing morally. With this sort of punishment county sets itself at the same level as the criminal and this may increase aggressiveness and lover the value of human life. People who support capital punishment have as good arguments as those who are against it. Capital punishment helps to preserve people's belief in justice and the power of law. It also may help preventing wild justice. For this kind of punishment is the fact that public opinion has always supported it. It would be cynical to decide whether a person dies or lives based on financial consideration. If a person makes a crime, which is very well thought of and premeditated (as for homicide) capital punishment, in financial point of view, would certainly be cheaper, than his lifelong deportment on taxpayer collect.

Racism Racism is discrimination between different race people. Mostly people are discriminating people who aren't the same skin color as they are, but there are many more discriminations. Racism is belief, that people, who aren't the same skin color, who don't look like you or whose life standards aren't like yours, then you are better and more intelligent than them. White people mostly discriminate black people. They call them dumb and violent. Biggest issue with racism is in USA. Many centuries ago black people were white people's slaves, but when the slavery became unacceptable, white people and black people had to live together in America and have mixed
First reason, why it is better to be a religous person than atheist, is your spiritual and mental safety because if you belive in God , you will always have someone to rely on even in the worst situations, and you will never give up as you would probably do, if you stayed against the misery alone, on your own. Secondly, i would like to point out that with having a God to believe in your everyday life becomes easier because you are not afraid of being killed or whatever due to your belief in fate. Also you think that He/She rules your life, and everything that happens , happens for better so virtually you do not need to be worried about anything because you know that it just has to be so. Finally, i would like to ephasize the fact that in most religions there are rules which you cannot break or you go to Hell. In a word, due to this fact, religious people are steady and even- tempered plus they are more likely to be polite than atheists.

Marxism Why to be for Marxism? 1. Belief that a working labour could be seen as joy if a workers sees themselves in the objects they have created. 2. Against exploitation of workers which basically means that workers labour is resold at a higher price than he gets paid for it. 3. Classless society which means that everyone is equal in a basic sense as a member of the tribe and the different functional assignments of the primitive mode of production, howsoever rigid

the lack of interest in learning suggests that barriers to even a first experianse remain impossible to some. The Making Music report talks further about where there are more children interested. The Chairman of Sistema England Julian Lloyd Webber said: ‘Sadly, the report shows that music is still most likely to be pushed aside in the poorer inner-city schools ‒ exactly where it could be most beneficial. This continues to foster the misguided belief that classical music is a white, middle-class and elitist activity. While things are much better than they were 10 years ago, there is still a long and winding road ahead before we can say that all our children have access to music.’ I chose this article because it was the first one to have my interest. I have always been somehow interested in what other people, who are not connected to music the way I am, think of learning an instrument, do they want to do it as or not
wrote that he was innocent, but was certain federal officials would make him a scapegoat. "I have no faith in the `justice' system," he wrote. "Perhaps my actions today, and this letter, will send a stronger message to the public. Either way, I have lost control over this situation, and this is my only way to regain control." In conclusion I'd like to say James was a young hacker who was very smart as he hacked into many systems including DTRA and NASA. But for his sad end he took his life in belief that justice' system did not believe his innocence.
Hume held that since substance cannot be perceived, it should not be assumed to exist. What we call substance is simply a bundle of qualities created by our minds – it is an association of ideas. If qualities were all removed there would be nothing else there. Therefore, substance does not exist. 21. What does Hume thinks about the notions of God, the world and the self? Why? God, the world and even the self, don't exist. 22. According to Hume, what is belief and why is it important for life? Belief is a feeling, a “guide for life”, but we must accept that our knowledge will always be limited, probable and insecure. d. Kant 23. Who said the phrase: “I had to set limits to knowledge in order to make place for faith”? Immanuel Kant 24. What is Kant's philosophy goal? Kant's goal is to save religion from reason and at the same time to save science from skepticism. 25. For Kant, what is a priori knowledge
One the other hand, there are many young Estonians who want to go to study abroad and sometimes they stay there for the rest of their lives. They think that life is better compared to the contitions Estonia has to offer. Also, many young women are convinced that Estonian men are dolts and wusses and think that foreigners make much better husbands for them and better fathers of their children. So, this is the point where young Estonian men should step out for themselves and prove that this belief is not true. There is yet another a well-known saying that describes the attitudes of Estonian young very well: it states that people always want that they have not. Looking from here everything seems to be better in the West education has higher quality and salaries are bigger. That is why youngsters are not satisfied with their lives. If Estonia offered similar conditions, young inhabitants would also stay here as the surveys have also clearly shown.
ESSAY The role of the Secretary in business Secretarys are usually women so most of the people generally think that Secretary's job is to make coffee, wear miniskirt and just be beautiful. Of course that is the most common wrong belief. Secretary is actually really important in the company. But what are Secretary's main tasks and why is she so important in business? I think that Secretary is very important person in the company. All clients and guests meet the secretary first so she is the first contact of the company and its reputations depends on how great is the customer service. She is like a business card of the company. Secretary greets clients and if needed, forwards clients to the right place.
them in counties Clare, Galway, Mayo and Roscommon. This was by far the poorest land in Ireland and, as well as this, they were not allowed to live within 3 miles of the coast. This strip, called the 'Mile Line' was given to Cromwell's soldiers. In 1652 the newly cleared land in Munster and Leinster was given to Protestants in what was called the 'Cromwellian Settlement'. There was now no part of Ireland where Catholics owned more than ½ of the land. The main reason for this was Cromwell's belief in fundamental Protestantism and hatred of Catholicism. He claimed to be acting on God's behalf and expelled about 1000 Catholic priests from Ireland. ~New Modal Army~ The New Model Army of England was formed in 1645 by the Parliamentarians in the English Civil War, and was disbanded in 1660 after the Restoration. to express their thoughts and insults. Persecution by a black female is most notably seen when Antoinette describes being followed by a young black girl who sings “go away white cockroach, go away“. Thirdly, the black women are portrayed as self-sufficient and able to do decisions without men, especially Christophine. She is a wise and loyal figure. Christophine introduces Antoinette to the black culture of the Caribbean and instills in her a sensitivity to nature and belief in the practices of obeah. She is an outsider because she dresses and speaks differently from the Jamaican blacks. She is a servant, but, unlike the other black servants who live at Coulibri, she remains loyal to the Cosway women. She provides a contrast to Annette because she exercises complete independence from men and distrusts their motives. Although she has three children by three different fathers, Christophine remains unmarried, saying “I thank my God. I keep my money
of religion and speech. People fleeing persecution in Europe eagerly settled in the colony. Men like Penn set an example which helped spread democratic ideals and practice throughout the colonies. As time passed, the colonists began to present the governing power that Britain exercised over them. In 1774, a group of leaders from the colonies met and formed the Continental Congress, which informed the king of the colonists' belief that they should have a voice in determining laws that affected them. The king and the conservative government paid no need to the concerns of the colonists. In 1772, fighting broke out between New England militia and British soldiers. On July 4, 1776, the Continental Congress issued a Declaration of Independence, primarily written by Thomas Jefferson, a farmer and lawyer from Virginia. This document declared that from that time the United Colonies were no longer colonies of

Estonians are known as hardworking, responsible, rule-obedient simple people. For example there is law that after 18 years old finished with school, men need to serve military for one year. there is no way out of it and if they refuse they will get a fine and still get a call to come there. No wonder why Estonians can be very serious people after passed the navy. In fact I think it's a plus to Estonia as they will be always ready to defence their freedom with belief that they know what they are doing. Later years Cancer diagnosis In July 1977, Marley was found to have malignant melanoma in a football wound on his right hallux (big toe). Marley refused amputation, citing worries that the operation would affect his dancing, as well as the Rastafari belief that the body must be "whole": Marley may have seen medical doctors as samfai (tricksters, deceivers). True to this belief Marley went against all surgical possibilities and sought out other means that would not break his religious beliefs. He also refused to register a will, based on the Rastafari belief that writing a will is acknowledging death as inevitable, thus disregarding the everlasting (or everliving, as Rastas say) character of life. finally achieves his final goal which he believes will give him ultimate satisfaction: a fast until death. As Kafka so grotesquely illustrates, the frail and bony man believes he will finally receive the nourishment he wants when he has fasted until death, at which point he has lost all nourishment and dies. The conflict between the audience and the artist adds to the artist's dissatisfaction with his nourishment. The audience viewing the artist feeds upon the belief the artist is cheating. They continually view the artist only wishing to find him cheating. They express conceit at being confident he is cheating yet no one is ever able to find any form of proof. The butchers desire to know the artist is cheating and ignore him to comfort their suspicions. These internal assurances of the public which pleasure them so also bother them because of the failure to confirm these suspicions. Yet, if the suspicions were to be
Hoopis teine on anarhisti iseloom. Anarhist eitab seaduse olemasolu ennast, ei tunnista seaduse õigust meid käskida, kutsub inimesi üles mitte tunnistama kohustuslikku allumist seadusele ja kutsub seaduse täitmise vastu mässama." Jeremy Bentham, 1816 Charles Sanders Peirce Peirce Ameerika filosoof Charles Sanders Peirce (1839-1914) pani aluse pragmatismile (kr pragma 'tegu, tegutsemine'). Ta ei vastandanud mitte teadmist ja teadmatust, vaid usku (ingl belief) ja kahtlust. Teadmiseks nimetavad inimesed kindlat uskumust. Uskumusel (usul) on Peirce'i sõnul kolm omadust: 1. Uskumusest ollakse teadlik. 2. Uskumus vaigistab ebameeldiva kahtlemisärrituse. 3. Uskumusele tugineb käitumine. Ebameeldiv ärritus, mis kaasneb kahtlusega, sunnib asja lähemalt uurima ning niimoodi uskumuseni jõudma. Uurimistöö eesmärgiks on kahtlusest jagusaamine ning püsiva uskumuseni jõudmine.
Solomon Islands is made up of approximately 350 Muslims. Christianity was brought to the country in the 19th and early 20th centuries by missionaries. Some foreign missionaries continue to work in the country. Except for the Roman Catholic Church. The US government received no reports of societal abuses or discrimination based on religious belief or practice in 2007. Examples of these locally produced products are beer, furniture, and noodles. Otherwise, agricultural products have been the main commodities for sale. In the defence of the independent statehood of Estonia in the battlefield participated at least 130 students and 11 teachers of the Gymnasium for Boys, which was the name for Gustav Adolf Grammar School at that time. His vision was that all his employees could afford his products. He also invented the modern corporation- yet the Ford Motor Company was almsot wholly driven by the needs of production. Finance, marketing, cost accounting, managerial structure, and all the other accoutrements of modern corporations were of little or no intrest to Henry Ford. Henry Ford also regarded himself as a leader of the American people- as indeed were all business people in his eyes. But his belief that he understood the people better than their political leaders is best represented by his claim during prohibition. For Ford, at least early on, the seduction of wages still required its opposite for effective motivation- morality; workers had to be shown how to behave and what to do with their new-found wealth. In sum, Ford sought of dominate his workers, just as he dominated his managers and family. Domination, or, if neccessary, a battle of attraction until he achieved
Islamic texts depict Judaism and Christianity as prophetic successor traditions to the teachings of Abraham. The Qur'an calls Jews and Christians "People of the Book" (ahl alkitb), and distinguishes them from polytheists. Muslims believe that parts of the previously revealed scriptures, the Tawrat (Torah) and the Injil (Gospels), had become distorted--either in interpretation, in text, or both. God Islam's fundamental theological concept is tawhd--the belief that there is only one God. The Arabic term for God is Allh; most scholars believe it was derived from a contraction of the words al (the) and ilh (deity, masculine form), meaning "the God" (alilh), but others trace its origin to the Aramaic Alh. The first of the Five Pillars of Islam, tawhd is expressed in the shahadah (testification), which declares that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is God's messenger. In traditional Islamic theology, God is beyond all
The Role of the Hippie Movement in 21st Century Britain The hippies’ primary belief was that life was about being happy, not about what others thought you should be. Their “if it feels good, do it” attitudes included little forethought nor concern for the consequences of their actions. Hippies were dissatisfied with what their parents had built for them. Hippies rejected middle class values, opposed nuclear weapons and the Vietnam War. They embraced aspects of eastern philosophy and desired to find new meaning in life.
In "Animal Farm" Napoleon gradually started inventing more and more lies, which would justify and explain his decisions and acts. The pigs started altering the Seven Commandements for their own well-being. They changed them to make their life more enjoyable and comfortable. It's also in humans' nature to tell lies just to inluence other's opinions, to make them look good in someone's eyes or just because telling others something they want to hear or believe grows a certain kind of respect and belief in people. Another technique Napoleon used to increase his power over other animals was telling bizarre and libellous stories of Snowball. This motivated other animals to work harder and as a unit against Snowball. This brainwash is something people tend to do, not only in politics, but also in everyday life. They come up with a specific goal that everyone pursues so they would get people's support, respect and commitment.
