Introduction

In this essay i´m write electric cars and this how these cars are built , how easy is built electric car, how much costs electric cars. The problems for electric cars, there are many problems why peoples still can´t use quiet and more green cars. But even the electric car is not all green because the electricity produced for nuclear , coal, oil shale and natural gas. These ways to get electricity pollutes nature , the only difference between lies in the fact that pollution is in the one place .

What is a electric car

An electric car is a plug-in  battery powered automobile which is propelled by electric motor . Electric cars are a variety of electric vehicle (EV); the term "electric vehicle" refers to any vehicle that uses electric motors for propulsion, while "electric car" generally refers to road - going  automobiles powered by electricity. While an electric car's power source is not explicitly an on- board  battery, electric cars with motors powered by other energy sources are generally referred to by a different name: an electric car powered by sunlight is a  solar car, and an electric car powered by a gasoline generator is a form of hybrid car. Thus, an electric car that derives its power from an on- board battery pack is a form of battery electric vehicle (BEV). Most often, the term "electric car" is used to refer to pure battery electric vehicles.

What types electric cars we have

Usual electric cars have a batterey and elecrtic motor jusr like toy cars.

Hybrid vehicle

Then we have already hybrid vehicle (HEV) is a type of hybrid vehicle and electric vehicle which combines a conventional  internal combustion engine  (ICE) propulsion system with an electric propulsion system. The presence of the electric powertrain is intended to achieve either better fuel economy  than a conventional vehicle, or better performance .

Plug in hybrid
A plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV or PHV), also known as a plug-in hybrid, is a hybrid vehicle with rechargeable batteries that can be restored to full charge by connecting a plug to an external electric power source ( usually simply a normal electric wall socket ). A PHEV shares the characteristics of both a conventional hybrid electric vehicle, having an electric motor and an internal combustion engine; and of an all-electric vehicle, also having a plug to connect to the  electrical grid. Most PHEVs on the road today are passenger cars, but there are also PHEV versions of commercial vehicles and vans , utility trucks, buses, trains , motorcycles, scooters, and military vehicles.

Price

Electric cars are more expensive than gasoline cars. The primary reason is the high cost of car batteries. US and British car buyers seem to be unwilling to pay more for an electric car. This prohibits the mass transition from gasoline cars to electric cars. A survey taken by Nielsen for the Financial Times  has shown that 65 percent of Americans and 76 percent of Britons are not willing pay more for an electric car above the price of a gasoline car. also a report by J.D. Power and Associates claims that about 50 percent of U.S. car buyers are not even willing to spent more thanUS$5,000 on a green vehicle above the price of a petrol car despite their concern about the environment.
The Nissan LEAF is the most affordable five door family electric car in the U.S. at a price of US$32,780 going down to US$25,280 after federal tax rebate of US$7,500, going further down to US$20,280after the US$5,000 tax rebate in California and similar incentives in other states.
The  Renault Fluence Z.E. five door family saloon electric car will be priced at less than US$20,000  before any U.S. federal and state tax rebates are applied. It will be sold without the battery thus the significant price difference. The customer will buy the Renault Fluence Z.E. with a contract to lease the battery from the company Better Place.
The electric car company Tesla Motors is using  laptop battery technology  for the battery packs of their electric cars that are 3 to 4 times cheaper than dedicated electric car battery packs that other auto makers are using. While dedicated battery packs cost $700-$800 per kilowatt hour, battery packs using small laptop cells cost about $200. That could potentially drive down the cost of electric cars that are using Tesla's battery technology such as theToyota RAV4 EV and the  Smart ED as well as their own upcoming 2014 models such as the Model X.

Some electric cars

Tesla Roadster

Tesla is one most of the most famous company, what makes only electric cars. Here is the one model Tesla roadster. This have AC induction motor and single speed gear box create instant torque from 0 rpm. Up to 295 lbs-ft of torque and 288 horsepower are produced as the car smoothly accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds . Top speed is 200km/h and it goes only one charging incredible 390km. Tesal roadster is not cheap electric car it costs more than 100 000 US dollars this is 75683 Euros.

Nissan leaf

Nissan Leaf 100% electric car.
Nissan Leaf is more cheaper than telsa roadster and tihs have two base models, Nissan leaf SL and SV. First one costs 26 220 US dollars(19 844 EUR) and the second model costs 25 280 US dollars(19 132 EUR). Good thing is Nissan Leaf isńt very expensive and it can goes one charging 62-138 miles what is enoguh to circulate in citys. And when you need to stopi n traffic jam then your car dont use energy, this is the thing what most gasoline cars can´t toi f you don´t stop the engine. Most modern electric cars uses Li-ion battery, tihs type battery charging takes about 2 hours, in the first hour charging is 80-90% and the second hour takes batterey rest 10-20%.

Electric cars in our county in Estonia

In Estonia has very few electric cars. 21. Sept in year 2009 was in this country only 6 registered electric cars. At least 2 of these are own made in litte home garage. One project is uploaded in internet . This is one car in Estonia what is more green and homemade with 2 years

Electric car (biological cars)

Electric car (biological cars) ( , . . , .) One of the most common types of pollution are gases that emit vehicles and to prevent this people asked themselves the goal to take in the use of biologically clean vehicle What is it? Electric car - a car driven by one or more electric motors powered by an autonomous power source (battery, fuel cell, etc.) and not the internal combustion engine. First Electric car Electric car appeared before the internal combustion engine. The first electric car in the form of a truck with an electric motor was established in 1841. Limitations · The large mass of the batteries. · Battery charging time, but there are ways to "quick charge" to the part-time battery capacity. · In most cases, low dynamic performance. · In some hybrids in general there are no electric batteries. · The major auto companies after the 2000s, paid little attention to electric cars in favor of hybrids. and many other Adv

Indroduction This assignment will examine Britain's car market and shows how the external and internal environment factors influences it, mostly on Mini Ltd. External marketing environment is divided into 4 different groups; socio-cultural, economic, technological and political factors. Internal marketing evironment is divided into 6 different groups; which are customers, competitors, suppliers, distributors, employees and stakeholders. Also this assignment is provided with the SWOT analysis, where strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats are examined. Mini Mini was at first manufactured by the Austin Motor Company Ltd. In 1957 Alec Issigonis was commissioned to develop a new type of small car. At the same year were the first sketches of Mini made and after that the Mini model is been created from wood and also the most important mechanical parts for Mini has been developed. Four years later the Mini hits the streets. In 1965 the first Mini with an automatic transmission ent

Marius Lepik Autodes kasutatavad pneuma-ja hüdrosüsteemid Referaat Juhendaja: Jaanus Kaido Viljandi 2009 Compressed Air Brake System A "Compressed Air Brake System" is a different air brake used for trucks, consisting of a standard disc or drum brake arrangement using compressed air in place of hydraulic fluid. Most types of truck air brakes are drum units, though there is an increasing trend towards the use of disc brakes in this application. The compressed air brakes system works by drawing filtered air from the atmosphere, compressing it, and holding it in high-pressure reservoirs at around 120 PSI. When needed for braking, this high pressure air is routed to the operating cylinders on the brakes, which actuate the braking hardware and slow the vehic

Shipreport

1)Main machinery On a ship, the engine room, or ER, is the propulsion machinery spaces of the vessel. To increase the safety and damage survivability of a vessel, the machinery necessary for operations may be segregated into various spaces. The engine room is one of these spaces, and is generally the largest physical compartment of the machinery space. The engine room houses the vessel's prime mover, usually some variations of a heat engine - diesel engine, gas or steam turbine. On some ships, the machinery space may comprise more than one engine room, such as forward and aft, or port or starboard engine rooms, or may be simply numbered. 1.1)Main engine The engine room of a motor vessel typically contains several engines for different purposes. Main, or propulsion engines are used to turn the ship's propeller and move the ship through the water. They typically burn diesel oil or heavy fuel oil, and may be able to switch between the two. There are many propulsion arrangements for motor
