Tartu Kutsehariduskeskus Autode ja masinate remondi osakond Rainer Kaine AT-109 Iseseisev töö Electric cars Instructor: Tauris Vijar Tartu 2010 Introduction In this essay i´m write electric cars and this how these cars are built, how easy is built electric car, how much costs electric cars. The problems for electric cars, there are many problems why peoples still can´t use quiet and more green cars. But even the electric car is not all green because the electricity produced for nuclear, coal, oil shale and natural gas. These ways to get electricity pollutes nature, the only difference between lies in the fact that pollution is in the one place. Coal Electric power station Oil shale power station in Narva What is a electric car An electric car is a plug-in battery powered automobile which is propelled by electric motor

Hübriidauto - Hybrid car

· The answer doesn't lay completely in purchasing and using a hybrid car. They do make a statement by being compact and fuel efficient, but also carry various issues. Why to purc has e a hybrid c ar? 1. Made of lightweight materials hybrids are small in size. The engine is designed to be fuel efficient. When the car halts at a signal, the engine will automatically shut down and restart when the car shifts into gear. 2. These cars have the advantage of being powered by a gasoline engine and an electric motor that takes care of acceleration. 3. The batteries of the electric motor recharge automatically by harnessing the kinetic energy produced during braking. 4. Hybrid car engines produce less emission, give better mileage, idle less, and are fuel efficient. Why to purc has e a hybrid c ar? 5. The aerodynamic design reduces drag and the tires are made of

Turbo ja kompressor(inglise keeles)

power is to make a normal-sized engine more efficient. You can accomplish this by forcing more air into the combustion chamber. More air means more fuel can be added, and more fuel means a bigger explosion and greater horsepower. A turbo/supercharged engine produces more power overall than the same engine without the charging. Both superchargers and turbochargers do this. The difference between the two devices is their source of energy . TURBOCHARGER When people talk about race cars or high-performance sports cars, the topic of turbochargers usually comes up. Turbochargers also appear on large diesel engines. A turbo can significantly boost an engine's horsepower without significantly increasing its weight, which is the huge benefit that makes turbos so popular! . In fact, the term "turbocharger" is a shortened version of "turbo-supercharger," its official name. The turbocharger is bolted to the exhaust manifold of the engine. The exhaust from the cylinders spins the

should help the industry weather the 2009 economic crisis better than many other sectors. Costs Renewable energy systems encompass a broad, diverse array of technologies, and the current status of these can vary considerably. Some technologies are already mature and economically competitive (e.g. geothermal and hydropower), others need additional development to become competitive without subsidies. This can be helped by improvements to sub-components, such as electric generators. The table shows an overview of costs of various renewable energy technologies. For comparison with the prices in the table, electricity production from a conventional coal-fired plant costs about 4¢/kWh. Though in some G8 nations the cost can be significantly higher at 7.88p (~15¢/kWh).Achieving further cost reductions as indicated in the table below requires further technology development, market deployment, an increase in production capacities to mass

charged atomic nuclei join together to form a heavier nucleus. It is accompanied by the release or absorption of energy. Iron and nickel nuclei have the largest binding energies per nucleon of all nuclei. The fusion of two nuclei with lower mass than iron generally releases energy while the fusion of nuclei heavier than iron absorbs energy; vice- versa for the reverse process, nuclear fission. In the simplest case of hydrogen fusion, two protons have to be brought close enough for their mutual electric repulsion to be overcome by the nuclear force and the subsequent release of energy. Nuclear fusion occurs naturally in stars. Artificial fusion in human enterprises has also been achieved, although not yet completely controlled. Building upon the nuclear transmutation experiments of Ernest Rutherford done a few years earlier, fusion of light nuclei (hydrogen isotopes) was first observed by Mark Oliphant in 1932, and the steps of the main cycle of nuclear

Although over the years more women have started to use a car, but the change between male and female car users have still persisted. Females have started to make working-career by themselves and the need for transportation has increased; one of the comfortable ways to get to a work would definitely be a car. Housewives can also use car to do the grocery shopping or to take children to school. (http://academic.mintel.com A) Since 1998 more and more households are owing 2 cars. The percentage has been raised 6,4 per cent from 1998 to 2004. Although the overall percentage of car owning have went down by 0,7 per cent at the same period. The survey taken in 2004 december shows that people who are using car to go to work is 29 per cent and 25 per cent use car to take out their family. 26 per cent have a household at size 4 and to take family out they will propably use a bigger car than mini because it will not be so comfortable to squeeze four people in to a mini

Railgun

changes drastically. And as a side effect new uses could be found in everyday life, not to mention the advancement in spacecraft related research. The purpose of this essay is to explain what a railgun is and how it works along with a little history and the recent advancements in railgun related science. 3 1. What a railgun basically is A railgun is an electrically powered electromagnetic projectile launcher and a large electric circuit, made up of three parts: a power source, a pair of parallel rails and a moving armature. Along the pair of parallel conducting rails a sliding armature is accelerated by the electromagnetic effects of a current that flows down one rail, into the armature and then back along the other rail. Railguns have long existed as experimental technology but the mass, size and cost of the required power supplies have prevented railguns from becoming practical military weapons.
