Muusika kontserdiretsiensioon (Traffic)

Laul on üsna rütmikas. Refrääni teine pool muutub valjemaks ja lisandub kitarrile basskitarr. Refräänis toob Silver esile ka väga kõrge ulatusega noodid, mis minu meelest ideaalselt konteksti sulanduvad.

After graduation

know what they need to do and work on it right away. Aviation has always been one of my biggest intrests since the eighth grade. I became interested in it after my brother had applied to the Estonian Aviation Academy. Unfortunately he did not make it and, of course, my desire to become an air traffic controller began to increase due to my brother's failure. I have never really had a real experience in aviation. Luckily, I had a chance to be a work shadow to a professional air traffic controller to see how it all works. This experience seemed long, however it was interesting and really opened my eyes. At first I thought that controlling air traffic can not be that hard, that it is just like another computer game! Well, during those two hours, while I sat next to my work shadow, I learned how much logic, brainwork and thinking it really requires. I also had an image in my head of how the job would probably be boring due to just sitting alone in a big room filled

Tower Bridge

river crossing problem. It opened the design of the crossing to public competition. Over 50 designs were submitted. · Jones' engineer, Sir John Wolfe Barry, devised the idea of a bascule bridge 800 feet (244 m) in length with two towers each 213 feet (65 m) high, built on piers. The central span of 200 feet (61 m) between the towers was split into two equal leaves, which could be raised to an angle of 83 degrees to allow river traffic to pass. The leaves, weighing over 1,000 tons each, were balanced to minimize the force required and allow raising in five minutes. · Jones died in 1887 and George D. Stevenson took over the project. · Stevenson replaced Jones' original brick facade with the more ornate Victorian Gothic style, which makes the bridge a distinctive landmark. · The bridge was officially opened on 30 June 1894 by The Prince of Wales. · The total cost of construction was £1,200,000.

Safety on the road

Safety on the road: it is not difficult to ensure in school areas March 29, 2009 by Ülo Kaart Road safety aims to reduce the harm (deaths, injuries, and property damage) resulting from crashes of road vehicles. Harm from road traffic crashes is greater than that from all other transportation modes (air, sea, space, off-terrain, etc.) combined. Million people are killed on the world's roads each year. Unfortunately it includes school children as well. Is it really that hard to ensure safety in school areas? Why youngsters have to suffer because of lausy drivers? School children have been in great danger since there have been cars but it has grown throught time because of the big number of drivers

The model consists of three streets Main Street, which, as the name suggests, has the de-facto right of way. It is crossed by Second Street and Third Street, and also has a pedestrian crosswalk crossing it with a button to prompt the light switching. Third Street has a parking lot at the end of it. The system keeps track of cars entering and exiting the lot, and a traffic light will inform the driver when the lot is available. Tallinn University of Technology March 2013 MODES In its initial state, the system is functioning in Automatic mode. By turning switch 3 on the main controller, Manual mode will be enabled on both of the crossroads. At this point, each of the crosswalks can actually be toggled between Democratic mode and Main Street mode.

quarried for the manufacture of cement, and flint for local building material. The beechwoods of the Chiltern Hills have for centuries fostered the furniture trade, especially chair making. The clean water from the aquifer is still used for public supply and the chalk of the hills is an important aquifer, exploited to provide water supplies in the area. Protection · The natural beauty of the Chiltern hills is threatened by traffic noise, climate change and urban development. · The Chilterns Conservation Board (CCB)has produced the five-year scheme to help protect the area. · The Chilterns were made an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1965 and attract tens of thousands of visitors each year. · The AONB is intended to protect the steep chalk escarpments, grassland, chalk-bedded rivers, ancient beech woodland and brick-and-flint villages. ·

Smart cities

Weather sensors can manage automatic watering systems and detect leaks. Other sensors can provide updates on air pollution, noise and river level. There is no need to read water or electricity meters anymore. Everything will be available in real time. This solution can also save resources. Smart cities make life safer. If there is an accident, an alert goes out immediately. Thanks to remote monitoring you can follow an instant update on the situation. Drivers can receive warnings on their GPS. Traffic lights can adjust to regulate traffic flows and prevent traffic jams. Charles Montgomery found out that the most important ingredient of human happiness is social connections. So the more trusting cities are, the more happier they are. Smart cities can make life easier thanks to different solutions like smart lighting, dynamic information, environment stations, automatic watering, park assistance, connected waste containers, flow management and so on.

Car vs horse.

I talking about that, why horse would be better than car. With horse you can run on everywhere, without damaging the ground. A horse dont need any fuel like cars, only food, water, and some vitamins. Horse does not emit toxic lead or carbon monoxide which can cause diseases on people and animals. But with horse you cant drive so fast and long distances like with car. Horse causes no traffic jam, he does not need to be managed traffic light since it travels with much slower speed and can stop faster than car. But of horse you must take more care than car. Car may stay in garage a long time, nothing happening with that, but horse often needs food and takeing more care.

It could be argued that taking up cycling is very healthy for people. It supports people more to move and it is like doing a sport. Besides it is very good for environment. Thanks to using bicycles cities air will be cleaner and air is not such impure. Thanks to cleaner air people's can breathe better air. This is partly true, but taking up cycling instead of using a car is really more dangerous than use only cars. Thanks to taking up cycling traffic will go busier and messier. There is much different kind of movers in traffic and it makes traffic really dangerous. It is clear that it is not too dangerous. There are many cities where cycling is very popular, for example in Copenhagen. If this method will be chosen, city needs to build special cycling roads. Thanks to these roads traffic should be safer. More energy is used up taking items to recycling banks than the benefits gained from recycling materials.

Walking also helps to reduce tension and stress. Get some good walking shoes, dress for the weather, and hoof it! 3. Ride Your Bike --- If you need to travel a greater distance, take your bike. Again, it's good exercise, it feels great and it's fun. 4. Take a Bus --- Many communities have a public transit system. We all need to use and support public transit, because if these systems are used adequately they are more energy efficient than cars, and they help reduce wasteful traffic congestion. If we increase their use, the governments will increase the frequency and convenience of the schedules, which in turn will further increase their use, thereby discouraging individual car and truck traffic. 5. Plan Ahead --- Reduce your driving by planning ahead and combining several small trips into one, whenever possible. Over a year's time, your savings in energy, money and time could be substantial, while your part in traffic congestion shrinks. 6

people to breathe it. We are definitely driving with aircrafts, because we ran out of fuel over 50 years ago. Because Earth is very polluted, there isn't any way to grow food. All food is made in factories from plastic and other chemical stocks, so they are not very healthy. Poor people live only about 20 years old, because people get their vitamins and nutrients, to be live, only from chemist's. All cars are converted to aircrafts. Traffic accidents are not so tragic anymore, even though speed is faster and traffic is much more heavier. Everything looks like in Futurama. We are not using telephones, computers or iPods, because when we are born, doctors will set a very little chip into our brain. So everything, we want to search from Google or listen from iTunes is now in our heads and can be used every time. As a result, I can say, that life in next century, in my opinion will be much easier. Our home planet

£2.40 more than the Oyster fare. Something about history Railway construction in the United Kingdom began in the early 19th century. By 1854 six separate railway terminals had been built just outside the centre of London: London Bridge, Euston, Paddington, King's Cross, Bishopsgate and Waterloo. At this point, only Fenchurch Street Station was located in the actual City of London. Traffic congestion in the city and the surrounding areas had increased significantly in this period, partly due to the need for rail travellers to complete their journeys into the city centre by road. The idea of building an underground railway to link the City of London with the mainline terminals had first been proposed in the 1830s, but it was not until the 1850s that the

Letter travelling description

During the winter break, I had a chance to visit Kolkata along with my uncle. I hope, my description of the visit of that great city will be a source of pleasure for you. It was my first visit to Kolkata. We stayed there with a friend of my father. He was a kind host. He took me round some important places of the city. Kolkata is a very big place. The streets of Kolkata are full, of the crowds of people. There is such great rush-of traffic that at first I felt quite confused. Kolkata is a city of fine streets. I liked the Chawranghee most of all. On one side it is lined by tall buildings and on the other by the maidan. The maidan is a great open park where large numbers of people assemble to spend their sweet evenings. In Kolkata there are many places worth-seeing. I saw the Government House, Fort William, the Museum, the Botanical Garden, the Zoo at Alipore, and the Birla Planetarium I had a very pleasant time in Kolkata

limited integration with existing telephony environments. However in the last couple of years the situation changed dramatically since some open source tools such as asterisk as well as low-cost VoIP telephone adapters and services become available. In fact, today it is quite common for internet providers to provide their customers VoIP calls at very low cost, if any, in addition to standard xDSL connectivity. The VoIP uses Internet protocol (IP) to send digitized voice traffic over the Internet or private networks. An IP packet consists of a train of digits containing a control header and a data payload. The header provides network navigation information for the packet, and the payload contains the compressed voice data. While circuit-switched telephony deals with the entire message, VoIP-based data transmission is packet-based, so that chunks of data are packetized (separated into units for transmission),

How to avoi road accidents

1. Slow down. Obey the speed limit even if every other car is surpassing it. Remember that police officers often stay hidden from view while looking for speeders. If you're caught driving too fast, they won't hesitate to give you a ticket. 2. 2 Let others pass you. Defensive driving means letting others go ahead-not defending your position in traffic. Avoid the urge to be a vigilante ("Oh yeah? Let me show you what it's like to be cut off like that!") Accept the fact that someone is always going to think they're in more of a hurry than you. These are the drivers you want to move far away from, not to 'teach them a lesson.' 3 3 Try to avoid driving in bad weather. Always keep your windshield wipers going in the rain or snow. Defrost your windshield to keep it from fogging up

Trafalgar Square

Trafalgar Square is owned by the Queen in Right of the Crown, and managed by the Greater London Authority.[1] Trafalgar Square ranks as the fourth most popular tourist attraction on Earth with more than 15 million visitors a year. Overview The square consists of a large central area surrounded by roadways on three sides, and stairs leading to the National Gallery on the other. The roads which cross the square form part of the A4 road, and prior to 2003, the square was surrounded by a one-way traffic system. Underpasses attached to Charing Cross tube station allow pedestrians to avoid traffic. Recent works have reduced the width of the roads and closed the northern side of the square to traffic. Nelson's Column is in the centre of the square, surrounded by fountains designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1939 (replacing two earlier fountains of Peterhead granite, now at the Wascana Centre and Confederation Park in Canada) and four huge bronze lions sculpted by Sir Edwin

Secondly, there will be less green areas in town. Obviously, this will be very unhealthy, as people need fresh air and natural surroundings for good health. What is more, the town will be crowded and built up. Consequently, there will be more traffic, pollution, and the town will no longer be a nice place to live. To sum up, I think it is a very bad idea. I hope the local council will take my points into consideration. Yours faithfully, Evelin Sepp

Kristofer Seppel et al. International Conference on Traffic & Transport Psychology. Tartu, University of Life Sciences, Language Centre, 2015. The articles were about person's driving reflexes, based on research of driver reaction time. The main object of this game was to find out your reflexes on the road to reaveal how 'old' you are between 18 and 90 years old. While the basic principles generalize to estimating other reaction times, the exact numbers do not. Each type of reaction time has its own pecularities that must be examined

A letter to the editor

Firstly, if the park is sold there will be no open spaces left. Therefore, children will not be able to play freely, and people will have nowhere to walk their dogs, ride their bicycles and so forth. What is more, there will be very few green areas in town. Obviously, this is very unhealthy, as people need fresh air and natural surroundings for good health. Finally, the town will be crowded and built up. This will mean that there will be more traffic and pollution, and the town will no longer be a nice place to live. To sum up, I think it is a terrible idea. I hope that the council will find a better way to deal with Longheath Park. Maybe they will find some investors who are interested in improving facilities and carrying out other restoration work. Yours faithfully, Name

Nice

Nice, France. It is a walkway along the sea, where you can enjoy amazing view and see many luxurious private ships. Another place worthy of visiting is the small street parallel to the promenade des Anglais; leading from Nice's downtown, beginning at Place Massena, and shadowing the promenade towards the airport for a short distance about 4 blocks. This area of the city is off limits to cars, and by eliminating traffic creates a more serene setting. On this small strip tourists can find a fine selection of restaurants, where you can try local cuisine, cafes and small shops for clothing, shoes as well as souvenirs. Don't miss out on a visit to Nice. With its´ sandy and unspoilt beaches, interesting places to visit and picturesque natural beauty, it will certainly be unforgettable. How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities?

How can we reduce air pollution levels in our cities? Is the air in our cities clean? Unfortunately does not seem like it. Air is getting more polluted every day and we are constantly breathing that air. We need to do something fast before it is too late. Firstly, there is too much traffic in the city centre and cars emit bad fumes. A good idea would be to introduce parking and riding schemes. In this way there will be fewer cars in the city centre and in longer perspective air will get a lot cleaner. Another problem are factories polluting the air. There are so many factories that there is always smoke covering the city. It would help if we could create industrial parks. In this way less smoke will cover the city. Also a big issue is rubbish being burned

The Golden Gate Bridge

The Golden Gate Bridge The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California is one of the most beautiful, and most photographed, bridges in the world. The Golden Gate Bridge is a 1.7 mile(2,74 km)long bridge that can be crossed by car, on bicycles or on foot. It is the second longest bridge in the United States. The Golden Gate Bridge, completed after more than four years of construction at a cost of $35 million, opened to traffic on May 28, 1937 at twelve o'clock noon. One of the most interesting Golden Gate Bridge fact is that only eleven workers died during construction, a new safety record for the time. One of the bridge's safety innovations was a net suspended under the floor. This net saved the lives of 19 men during construction . There are also 128 lights installed on the bridge roadway. It makes it beautiful at night-time.

Broadway

The name Broadway is the English literal translation of the Dutch name, Breede weg. Broadway is known widely as the heart of the American theatre industry. Broadway was originally the Wickquasgeck Trail, carved into the brush of Manhattan by its Native American inhabitants. This trail originally snaked through swamps and rocks along the length of Manhattan Island. In the 18th century, Broadway ended at the town commons north of Wall Street, where traffic continued up the East Side of the island via Eastern Post Road and the West Side via Bloomingdale Road. The western Bloomingdale Road would be widened and paved during the 19th century, and called "Western Boulevard"or "The Boulevard" north of the Grand Circle, now called Columbus Circle. On February 14, 1899, the name "Broadway" was extended to the entire Broadway/Bloomingdale/Boulevard road.

Cars should be banned in city centers

First and the most important thing is the pollution. Using cars increase the level of pollution in big city centers. This is especially important because town centers always consist of tall buildings and narrow streets which often hold the pollution in one spot.Global warming is big problem all around the world. So, people should use public transport instead of their own car, if they do think about the nature and the air they breathe every second. Secondly, with less traffic there would be fewer accidents. Nowadays many people, especially younger persons, die in the car accidents every week. When we reduce the number of cars in city centers we can avoid these kind of disastrous. Finally, with no cars in town centers there would be no need for large, ugly car parks and parking spaces. This would allow more space for buildings, houses, parks and the movement of buses and people. To sum up, there are many reasons for banning cars in city centers. We must

My hobby

parents to teach me how to ride with roller-skates. Soon they got fed up and tired of my bagging to get some roller-skates. So they bought me a pair of roller-skates. So as soon as I could, I learned to roller-skate. I started with just standing still with them. Soon I could roller-skate across the street. Now I roller-skate just about everywhere where it's possible. The wonderful thing about roller-skating is that I do not have to buy a bus ticket. For example, I do not have to be in traffic congestion. Also I do not have to buy some lamellae tires to drive in winter because I can ride a bus in winter. I can ride in some indoor skating park at winter. Roller-skates provide the rider with so much information about balancing and coordination. They have certainly helped me in my daily life. I am better equipped to cope with living. Otherwise I would waist some fossil fuel in a car ore on a roller. So I continue to roller-skate. Besides being healthier I also spend my time
